“I normally get half a muffaletta cut in quarters and save it for the flight back home the next day. They are incredible and I will keep doing this as long as I keep coming to New Orleans.
The place is small and it can get pretty loud, if you have someone with sense hearing (like me), remind them to bring earplugs.
Parking: Parking can be a bit tight on busy nights.“

“THIS PLACE IS LEGIT!!!! Living most of my life in the Philly/South Jersey area I say from experience this place would absolutely stand up to Northeast pizza. What was even better than the food were the people who owned/ran it. We didn’t realize they closed at 2 for lunch but they never made us feel uncomfortable at all. They were absolutely fantastic from the second we walked in to the moment we left. I felt like I was back home for lunch today. This is by far the best pizza we have found in the south. Also go birds 🦅!“

“We were greeted pleasantly and seated quickly. Our waitress’s name was MaKayla and she was phenomenal! She was very knowledgeable and helpful with wine selections and tasting. We loved that it was Vino Thursday so we ordered a bottle (half price). We started off with the roasted Brussels sprouts appetizer and it was delicious. I’m not usually a Brussels sprout person but these were so good! I’d definitely order them again. My husband got the Marsala. He was very pleased as this is a favorite dish of his. I tend to be very, very picky about Alfredo but this was one of the best I’ve tasted. It was rich and creamy with just the right taste! The panéed chicken was tender, almost melt in your mouth, and very flavorful. The wine MaKayla suggested paired beautifully with both our entrees. To end the evening we ordered the tiramisu. It was heaven! I love tiramisu and was not disappointed. The restaurant is clean and had a very comfortable feel to it. I loved the light blue colors. It felt relaxing and inviting. Overall 5 stars!!!“

“The most kind and attentive staff! We called ahead to see if it was hard to get a table of six and they told us it was not and to come on in. We showed up an hour later and they saved us a table. The food was authentic, fresh, hot and delicious. Our table had the lasagne, spaghetti and meatballs, Mr Ed’s special poboy and the stuffed seafood bell pepper. This was the most amazing food we’ve ever had. The hospitality was unmatched. Absolutely perfect! Come here for a good time, great food and exceptional service. Catherine was the most precious person and we wanted to take her to the Taylor Swift with us!“

I also really like the chicken parmesan and the veal parmesan. the plates come with salad vegetable and bread very large portions. it is definitely worth the drive if you do not live in the neighborhood. they also have a nice selection of beers in the cooler“

“Milano's is a hidden gem that has excellent food. The owners are there every evening (late into the night), and they are extremely friendly and accomodating. The pizzas are very good, and they always have a ton of toppings. The entrees come with a significant amout of food that alway result in leftovers. The late night hours are a plus if you work late or just need a late-night meal. We eat here a couple times a month and are alway treated well and are pleased with the food. I highly recommend you give them a try.“

“Every time we visit the New Orleans area, we look for a new restaurant to try apart from the same old "tourist" places. We happened upon Freakshake Cafe tonight. The Muffaletta and Po' Boys were delicious (especially the Italian Beef) and the portion sizes are HUGE (Get the small, trust me!) We even treated ourselves to some Freakshakes. (If you're into over the top dessert experiences, this is definitely for you.) Chef Bob is so friendly and personable. He made sure that every step of our dining experience exceeded our expectations. We look forward to coming back and visiting again!“

“We just ate Vincent’s in Metaire. It was amazing from start to finish. My wife and I along with my ten month old walked in on a busy Saturday nite. They were so happy to see us and I could tell they were super busy. We did not have a reservation and they found a way to seat us. Nate was at the table quickly. I was thankful because no doubt he was double sat and he was really happy to help us. We ordered five courses and the chef was at our table before the second course to make sure we were happy. The oysters Rockefeller and artichoke Vincent were perfectly flavored . Of course we had the signature crab and corn bisc in a bread bowl as well as the crawfish bisc . Both were fantastic. That bread bowl and bisc should be considered a must. If you haven’t experienced it I’m not sure I can consider your local. It’s amazing!The Italian salad is a perfect mix of olive heaven for any Italian looking for something that reminds him or her of Sunday dinner at your Nona’s house. The Osso Bucco is rich and a labor of love for the chef because it’s the best I’ve ever had. Demi gloss is almost as good as the veal but I’m splitting Angel hair even trying to pick what was better. Dessert menu was packed with classics and the tiramisu must have been made in heaven because the lady fingers and butter cream had me needing a bigger belt when I left. Nate our waiter sped up our courses so our infant wouldn’t get restless and took time to talk with us even though his section was obviously full. He laughed with us and found a way to let us know about the menu in every way with out ever interrupting our conversation. 5 stars for chef 5 stars for Vincent’s and 5 stars for Nate. Thanks for making us feel welcome even with our baby which was the cherry on top for me and my wife.“
