“We had dinner at the bar since we didn't realize reservations a couple weeks ahead are critical to a table at this restaurant. It was very nice to have the option of waiting for a seat at the bar, and it was actually quite lovely since our server was always right in front of us and the piano player was close by in the room as well. The food was superb...I had the delicious fish almandine and my husband enjoyed the chicken with roasted potatoes. They were both served very hot, which I appreciate. We thought the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. And our server/bartender was friendly and efficient. If I lived in NOLA, I'd eat at Irene's twice a month for sure!“
“I live in Pittsburgh, and searched for a place that would feel familiar, but also provide a unique New Orleans experience. This is a GREAT Italian place, with classic Italian dishes, but also some New Orleans classic seafood options. Prices are very reasonable. All the dishes we had were great, great eggplant appetizer, great bread to go with dinner, very good desserts...a treasure up near the lake front...go there!“
“Funky vibe. Counter order, but excellent service. The pasta was perfectly cooked with very tasty sauces. Enjoyed a good bottle of wine (3.9 on Vivino). Desserts were good as well. I had a cannoli and my spouse had the flan. We got them to go. Great for Star Wars fans with some memorabilia including Italian posters from the original trilogy.“
“We are regulars at Sofia for brunch! The food, music, and bottomless mimosas hit every time. It's also in a great location to go to walk around the city, go to a bar, or have another move afterwards. My favorite dish is the cacio e pepe, but sad to see the ricotta pancakes were taken off the menu! We hope that they bring them back in the future!“
“I think their appetizers are more delicious than their main dishes. The meatball toast was really good and the fried artichoke low-key tasted like fried chicken. I ordered chicken marsala and it was too salty... the side dish that came with it tasted better... the tiramisu was delicious. This place is kind of dark and crowded.“
“Amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere. Very modern and cozy but also luxurious. There is certain seating where you can see the cooking take place in the entire kitchen. All the servers are absolutely amazing, and the food is incomparable. It is one of the restaurants that I continue to go to again and again.“
“I ordered the bbq chicken pizza with no bacon and it was delicious! My second time ordering it. The wings were very crispy even though some had the sauce on them. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was good and will definitely try more foods next time.“
“One of the highlights of our trip to NOLA was taking the advice of both an uber driver and a museum attendant when asked "Where do the locals eat that is a great New Orleans food experience" we got told "Mandina's" with a smile. Waiter was knowledgable, everyone was friendly and the place was packed. Great hearty food for a decent price.“
“The person who served me was super friendly. Even if the restaurant is not very welcoming, the pizzas were really good.I can't give it a 5 because I have had the opportunity in my life to taste top-notch pizzas with homemade dough and fresh, organic ingredients. I still recommend because they were very good and not expensive“
“We had an eggplant Parm pizza and some garlic knots, and WOW it was good. The 18 inch pizza in s well worth the price, although it definitely doesn't fit in my fridge. I highly recommend trying the eggplant Parm pizza, and I'm excited to try the rest of the menu.Vegetarian options: eggplant parm pizza and garlic knots“
“I've been eating here since I was a toddler. I'm almost 30 now and the food has been consistently consistent for all those years. Never have I ever seen someone not like what they ordered. Unfortunately we moved due to the hurricane, but EVERYTIME we go back, Pizza Kitchen is always the staple of our visit.“
“Mona Lisa is always a destination dinner spot when in New Orleans! Family & friends gather here for delicious and bountiful meals, and we keep coming back for the friendly, attentive and exceptional service from Rayven & Lindsey. The adorable decor is a treat that is only transcended by the fun and jovial atmosphere! And last, but certainly not least, we return for the always enjoyable interaction with the inimitable host, Farrow! Whether sharing stories about the neighborhood or playfully sparring with regulars, he's a huge part of the pleasant experience we have every time we go. Oh! And don't miss the humorous signs he posts in the window! You will always leave Mona Lisa with a smile on your face!“
“We were curious as to whether this was just another Italian place. However, we found it a thoughtful mix of gulf coast proteins/flavors into Italian dishes. Even without the tasting menu, Stefan and the bar staff were able to provide some fantastic pairings.“
“First timer, will return promptly and regularly! What a great meal. Went for spouse's bday, and the entire experience was more than my highest expectation. Wine list is outstanding, and the wait staff helps make it not feel overwhelming (I don't *know* wines, just like to drink them). The menu is likewise lovely - I had the pasta with mushrooms (some fancy named beauty). It was absolutely delicious. Portion size is right on too. Spouse had the pasta with sweet potato and some other magical delights. Also delicious! Prices aren't exactly cheap, which is okay, because the food is beyond compare. Worth the price. Worth your time. Sidenote: the layout of the restaurant is pretty but not fancy schmancy... just right! Go there! I'd bet you'll love it.“
“Wonderful pasta dishes. And very cool concept of "build your own". We'll be back to get sauce as take out. What we actually had was the "lasagna". Not really lasagna but wide papardelle with sauce, sausage, and cheese. Yummy. And the lemon shrimp linguini, not strongly flavored but good. The only strange thing was the staff vibe; competent and professional, but cool to the point of cold. It's NOLA, people smile here yall:-)“
“Let me start with the service is excellent. You're greeted like family. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious but the chips were the star. They were thin and crispy with some Cajun seasoning on them. I had the smothered burger special that was so yummy. The Cajun potatoes and gravy with onions were just perfect!! Hubby had the honey blackened mahi mahi sandwich and it was so good. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall that the tables are full; but, well worth the wait.“
“Tonight was our first time to eat at Avo Restaurant. We were impressed by the exterior upon arrival, very attractive. Our server was extremely nice and the service was very good. Everything that we ordered was great. Really good authentic food rather than huge portions like some Italian restaurants. We very much enjoyed our experience and will return in the future.Vegetarian options: Some non-meat dishesDietary restrictions: Staff will try to help with restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Did not notice parkingKid-friendliness: More of an adult level establishmentWheelchair accessibility: Totally accessible“
“visited the covington location. staff was friendly as could be food was really good restaurant was extremely clean and food was moderately priced. Job well done folks. Hats off to Gustavo , Cedricka.L and the entire staff. We will be returning to this location soon.“
“Great experience last night at Reginellis. We came in after leaving Juan’s flying burrito down the block after a very terrible experience. We were worried we were not going to be able to find a new place to eat as we were on a time crunch, going to a concert that evening. The GM, Tim, saved the day. Him and his staff got us seated very quickly and were very kind. He even came up to our table to ensure everything was going okay during our meal. We thanked him and told him he turned our night around, because he really did! Food was great too. Definitely recommend visiting here if you are looking for a place with good food, good service, and little to no wait. Thanks Tim and staff!“
“The chicken comes out hot and fresh. I mean literally you have to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. It's so hot but it's very crispy and if you like a little salty batter it's just for you. I have no complaints about the spot. I recommend trying it. Just chicken Was a little saltier than I'm used to but it has been a while. But it's worth checking out. They also have seafood optionsVegetarian options: They have vegetable items that are available as sides“
“Yummy garlic bread and homemade red sauce!Cannolis yummy too!The management was very kind! From JH, "I like the chicken Parmigiano and I couldn't stop eating the bread and when it got to the dessert I was cracking up laughing.'“
“My daughter and I needed a "snack" to hold us over until our late lunch reservations. Something quick and easy...and tasty! While in Nola you will see pizza slices sold at all the spots with the frozen drinks, etc. This spot is a mama/pop shop and doesn't look like much walking up and in, but in my experience that's a good sign! I saw the pepperoni pizza and wasn't impressed with the small, easily counted pieces of pepperoni, but we were hungry...not greedy. ;)Glad we went with these slices! They warmed the slices in the pizza oven. The crust was perfect, a bit thicker on the bottom somewhat which was -- PERFECT. The sauce/cheese ratio paired perfect with the pepperoni which tasted real fresh. It was super easy to walk and eat the slice. It wasn't greasy. Not runny. And the thickness of the crust allowed it to keep its shape. It wasn't floppy, which I think was great. As we walked and munched, a guy stopped and said..."I need to know where you got THAT!" It was the perfect size and the price was right. AND -- they didn't charge an additional service fee for me using my debit card! Imagine that, a LEGIT SMALL BUSINESS not passing their cost to do business to the customer. Much respect!Check this place out! My only regret is not ordering a whole pie.“
“Came here for lunch and it was unexpectedly amazing! It's in a strip mall and this probably would have normally deterred me but my coworker loves this place. We got the Mediterranean hummus and shrimp skewers for apps and both were delicious. The hummus was much better than average. Pita was cooked perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got the small pizza, half Italian sausage and mushrooms and other half supreme. Both were really good! You can taste that it's very fresh ingredients and they have a very good cook. Two people got the salmon and both said that it was really good. We had two servers, one was in training, both were super sweet girls. The restaurant was very clean and kept up.Overall, a great place and I will definitely be back! Also, they had amazing lunch specials! $12 for chick parm and many many more.Help others with another review“
“Pizza was really good, but the service was SO slow. They were nice, but it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to ask me what I want at lunch when the restaurant was only half-full. By the time my food came out, I had to take it go because I had to go back to work.“
“I have always been a big fan of this restaurant and I recently stopped in at the bar for dinner and was able to meet the owner Erin. She was great and had amazing suggestions. The gumbo was 10/10 and the entrees were perfect. I will totally be going back for the Monday-Friday happy hour from 4-7 for half off Draft Beer in the amazing frozen mug. Great atmosphere and better food and drinks!“
“Came here for a pool day during the week! The place was super clean and tanning chairs were comfy! They have lounge chairs or day beds for rent. The pool was a little small but clean. Bartender was awesome, super nice and speedy making drinks. Bathrooms were air conditioned and clean!! Drinks were priceyyyy so bring your wallet lol but they were strong and tasty. I would come back!“
“Hello reader,This spot is my go to for turtle soup, raw, and Bienville oysters, and BBQ shrimp.I been coming here for many years. I do not know anyone that owns this place and I do not work there.I have also had the BBQ shrimp po’boy for lunch a few times it’s ok, because I prefer peeling my shrimp, just a personal preference. I am waiting for them to bring back steak po’boy….Oh, fyi reader when mixing your cocktail sauce for the oysters, use the horseradish sparingly until you get a feel for it as it is very powerful. It’s good, just strong. And some times I get the chocolate mousse, it comes chilled which is awesome. But man, to be honest the deserts are kinda bland. If they made them pop it would be five stars. Which is why I don’t usually get them, but every few years I’ll try one to see if they got better. The service is cool everyone and everything is old school done. The bread is great for dipping in the BBQ shrimp. The gumbo is good, but I get t turtle soup with just a splash of sherry. But y’all don’t have to if you prefer. This only place I eat raw oysters their shucker had been there for decades and is a total pro. They oysters come clean and no bits of shell! They oysters Beinville are awesome. Use the big spoon that come with it.I don’t do the Rockefeller oyster but people who do like them. The shrimp come with shells on for a reason. Wear the paper bib if you don’t know how to peel them or you are wearing fancy clothes. They have plenty of free fenced off street parking and an armed security watching the door. This is because New Orleans is a very dangerous place. Let the guard walk you to the car if they can.The place is very clean and well run. Dress is casual or fancy, but don’t go looking like a slob.Good wine selection too, full bar. Everything is served in glassware.Idk about the dinners, I never order meals, I get the same thing every time.Good luck y’all.Parking: The lot is on the restaurant property.Kid-friendliness: I have seen older kids there every now and again it’s cool, but it’s not really a thing to bring kids there. It’s a grown folk joint.“
“Came here for the garlic knots (which are buttery little knots of pure heaven), and ended up ordering a Detroit style pizza with BBQ shrimp. I'm from Chicago and have never seen/heard of a shrimp pizza before, but it was absolutely delicious! The shrimp was tender, the savory sauce complimented the shrimp perfectly, and all on top of a pillowy buttery crust.“
“Food is ok. I had the seafood manicotti, it was swimming in sauce and had a hard time finding the “seafood” but it was tasty. The dessert i had i cannot remember the name but had strawberry, chocolate, and pistachio ice cream with cookie crust, not good. The ice cream looked and tasted more like a sorbet, ok flavor. My husband had the beet salad which he liked.“
“What a great find. Small place with a unique menu and excellent food. The lamb was amazing, the seafood sauce a must try. The service was friendly and welcoming. I would try not to miss this one if you are down by Frenchman Street and it's worth a trip there if you aren't.“
“The cheese sticks were delish, really fresh with a good cheese to bread ratio. They were soft on the inside and crispy at the edges. And the generous portion of garlic sauce that came with was so good! The marinara was good too but the garlic sauce definitely stood out. I didn't try a calzone but I imagine they're probably great too! The cashier at the front was really friendly and efficient. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the Quarter.“
“Food was fabulous! Service was awesome! However, the temperature in the restaurant was so freaking cold that it made it difficult to relax and enjoy the delicious food. We shivered the entire time and the young ladies at the front counter were visibly cold also. Please adjust the temp accordingly! We'll be back!!Parking: Very close parking locations“
“Atmosphere and people very cordial..Food good , but portion very skimpy...I ordered an omelet and got no bread. When the cook brought the omelets out , I asked for bread ; he brought some he had grilled. As I said , lovely place , but not the place to go if you are hungry.“
“Wow! So excited to find this outpost of the MML hospitality group. We are thrilled to stay at this gorgeous hotel having enjoyed all the delicious food at their Austin restaurants. Moke, Andrew and our server Gina all made us feel so welcome and made sure our experience was top notch! The food was off the hook, we enjoyed the Sammie’s Casear, the carpaccio, linguine vongole and the flounder piccata. The desserts were so delicious, we had the chocolate bundino and the two versions of the cannolis, pistachio and chocolate chip. The cocktails were so delicious. As was the Champagne (1/2 off on Monday evenings). We couldn’t ask for a better first night in NOLA. LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULER!“
“We came right at 11 for lunch and were promptly greeted and taken to a table. We received our motz sticks and salad with in minutes of ordering. Then our pasta came out maybe 10 minutes later, piping hot. The portions are huge, I regret getting an appetizer because I couldn't finish my pasta. If we were locals, this would quickly have become our regular spot!“
“I had the Fish Cynthia and it was delicious. Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their food. When many restaurant around town are hurting, Venezia was packed! We had a reservation for 5 at 6:00 PM. We got there on time and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. There were so many people standing around waiting for a table that the wait staff had to keep excusing themselves to walk around. So too busy for my liking, but Five Stars for the food.“
“Ordered a 14 inch build your own pizza. Eggplant sausage and seasoned ricotta and it was delicious. Like really good. However we ordered a large Mediterranean salad and barely fed 2 people it was so small. When I called they must asked if it was in a 9x9 takeout container and when I said yes they said that's a large. It's not the container it was the amount that was in it for $15. They just said we'll tell the owner. I just wanted them to charge me for a small. I wasn't asking for anything free. Be careful ordering the large salad, it's not worth the money.“
“Olive Branch......I heard great things about their pie! (Ima pie guy!) (Pizza) so I opt for delivery (very expensive) I get two pies hamburger and pepperoni they arrived almost an hour later...(of course not the hottest) THEY LOOK..AMAZING HECK EVEN TASTE AMAZING!!Gotta Give Them another try given the circumstances! But the owner Mr. RUSTY! TOOK CARE OF ME!GO CHECK THEM OUT!!“
