“I've been using Fresh City Kitchen for work-related catering needs for the last ~2 years. The food is great, always good portions and presented so nicely (and tasty too), but the service and attention to detail from the team sets them above and beyond your typical catering service. The packaging is thoughtful and the team is always more than willing to work with you to accommodate your needs and requests. They're perfect for board meetings when I need consistency and on-time delivery but also ideal for a last-minute team lunch. Last week, we held our company picnic and right when the delivery was due, we were hit with torrential downpours and a thunderstorm. When the delivery arrived, the driver was so patient and assured me he wasn't in a rush and waited for the rain to calm down but still made the effort to set up for me in the drizzle. Their newsletters highlight different team members and they have a charitable program where you can donate your rewards point to a food bank if you're a regular customer... I love everything about their business and know I can count on them to make my job 1000x easier. Thank you, Fresh City Kitchen!“

“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

“We honestly didn't know what to expect with the Four Handed Illusionist Show, however, it was beyond our expectations.The comedy mixed with the magic and illusions was so exciting. We were there for my brother's birthday. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess named Rachel and the unbelievable top notch customer service from the barmaid's Alyssa and Bau. All three of those ladies were amazing and I love to bump into them again. Rachel was super accommodating and always had a smile.The barmaid's had wonderful drink suggestions, smiles, customer service and told us how much we would enjoy the show.Well, the main attraction was the 2 gentlemen that put on an unbelievable show. I remember magic since I was little and you don't see that anymore. I would come back to the see the show with other friends or family members again and again.I love that it was required to dress up because when you look good, you feel good and what else was nice...It was a very intimate show that was super interactive with the audience. You were never put on the spot, you were always part of the show. If you haven't seen it get yourself a few tickets and go“

“We used Baker's Best to cater an event at our home with 26 people. They were recommended to me by a friend and they did not disappoint! We ordered a range of food - our favorite was the salmon, yet the vegetable spring rolls, spinach triangles, shrimp, cheese/fruit platter and cookie platter were all delicious. I was pleased that the delivery arrived perfectly on time and the instructions for reheating were clear. I will definitely use them again!“

“I've been meaning to write this review for sometime, because Lisa and her staff absolutely deserve their flowers. We have used Tex's BBQ express for our annual staff cookouts for years. When we send out the invitation one of the first questions that are asked is "are we getting food from Tex's?" The staff are so polite, accommodating, and easy to work with. I am excited to use them each year for annual outings, but their food is so delicious and they make me want to host parties of my own with them on the grill. CANNOT recommend highly enough“

“This place is fantastic. We’ve been dinning at the Wellesley’s store for about one year now and have no complaints. Staff is super professional and amicable. Chef Luke makes me drive all the way from Quincy to Wellesley for a cup of coffee now that the job is over. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Food is terrific“

“We have used La Bonne Maison twice. The first was for our wedding in 2016 and our guests raved about the food. Even our DJ said it was the best wedding meal he had ever eaten. The second time was for my graduation party following my master's degree in 2023. Same thing! Even the presentation for a backyard picnic meal felt special. La Bonne Maison delivered real ceramic serving dishes and elevated the whole affair. And their food is just SO GOOD. Their menus are not ordinary but not froufrou either. “Amazing deli sandwiches, but glad we got here early as the lines form for lunch super quick. The person who I was with and I both had pastrami sandwiches with half sour pickles. I couldn't believe how quiet the restaurant was. We were able to find a seat no problem and our sandwiches came out about 5-6 minutes after we ordered it. When I say that the pastrami melted in your mouth, it was just so flavorful and juicy. Where we live, we don't have places like this, so this was definitely a treat.“

“Visited this place on a sunday and was not disappointed! It runs like a well oiled machine. We got hot lobster rolls and the chowder. It was wonderful. The owner came out and made sure our sandwiches were on point, replacing one (fried fish) that was a little bit overcooked. He came back multiple times to make sure we all loved our food. “Found So Sabe quite by accident but they had bolinhas de bacalhau - which has eluded me in Boston for the longest time and one of my favorites. They were absolutely delicious! The two ladies at the store were also incredibly delightful and kind as well. I will definitely be coming back and can't wait to try their other food!“

“The perfect ending to the perfect wedding. We had Frosty come towards the end of my son's wedding reception as a surprise to everyone. After a fun night of eating, drinking and dancing it was the perfect ending. What fun so many guests posted pictures having an ice cream. The attendant was fun and helpful and moved quickly. I highly recommend Frosty for any occasion, who doesn't love an ice cream!“

“Consistently awesome for generations. Wonderful management & staff. Friendly and fast paced vibes. Love the variety in the frozen section and all the food from local businesses. And of course THE best cold cut sandwiches, sliced to order. You need to see the skill and effort that goes in to making each Italian sub. It makes it taste that much better. Fresh bread choices are top notch. My fave is the seeded braided roll before they're sold out for the day!“

“We loved working with Julian and his team for our summer 2023 wedding! We were excited to serve paella because the bride's late grandfather was known for making celebratory paellas for large events, and this felt like a good way to remember him on the big day. Julian honored that sentiment and then some!Julian was very helpful and friendly throughout the process. He helped us understand what was possible with our budget, and he helped us make selections when it came to our table settings. He was friendly and easy to work with throughout the whole process, and he had everything handled when our wedding venue coordinator left her job and someone less familiar with the venue took over.On the day of, Julian and his team were on it! The cocktail hour spread and food were both amazing, and Julian made up plates and had waters ready for the bride and groom right after the ceremony, so we had plenty to snack on while we were having our couple's portraits done. He and his team were cooking up a show, and even let the ring bearer mix some of the paella, which our family got a real kick out of! He also took candid photos throughout the day, which felt like an added bonus. Even now, six months out from the wedding, people are still commenting about how amazing the food was. Our family is trying to come up with other occasions big enough that we could hire Julian again! We wholeheartedly recommend Julian and his team to anyone looking for amazing food.“

We were out of the delivery zone (make sure to check!) but able to coordinate via email a time to meet with them at the kitchen and pick up, which we really appreciated!The dumplings were absolutely perfect. Stuffed generously, beautifully pleated, and delicious. Dumplings were in separate trays so no confusion for vegetarians. They were the first food to go at our party and I would highly recommend Yang’s to everyone!“

“My team contracted Forklift Catering for a high-profile Harvard event early this year. Forklift's professional sales and event management team were incredible partners in the development and execution of a spectacular event every step of the way. They were always available to address any question or concern and were so adaptable to every plan change (down to just days before the event). They even functioned as our florist and arranged breathtaking floral displays to enhance the ambience. The catering staff and chef produced and provided great food that were the highlight of the event; I heard from everyone how much they enjoyed it (even had some on-call colleagues who gladly answered our calls because they knew they were going to be fed great food during their shift). “If you are looking for a place that prepares fresh, delicious food it's Virginia's Fine Foods! They offer take out during this pandemic time. Arda and her family donated meals for our entire staff at the Armenian Nursing & Rehab Center! What a treat it was and so very much appreciated. The chicken was so tender with nice spices served over a vegetable rice accompanied by a super crisp fresh salad with delish balsamic dressing! Also so many choices of sparkling waters! It was all individually packaged, boxed and organized for easy no contact access for the staff. She also was wonderful at communicating with me on the menu and delivery. I can imagine with her level of professionalism it would be a breeze to work with her on any kind of catering event. All we can say is thank you Arda! Your kindness, generosity and delicious food is truly appreciated, especially by our hard-working staff. “The Serranito sandwich is the best deli sandwich I’ve ever had. We were in Boston for 3 days with a full food itinerary, stopped in here on day one and had to come back a second time before we left. The sandwiches are big, easy to split between two people. Freshly sliced ham, incredible cheese, crispy toasted bread, garlic aioli…this is our favorite place we ate in Boston. A must eat!!!“

“Great local Italian shop with wide selection. I came a few days before a holiday and I was still able to get a couple trays of Eggplant and lasagna when no one else could accommodate. I am so glad they couldn't because the food was so great. The service was quick enough considering that it was right before holiday and a "small" shop. From the other customers I can tell this is a Gem and loved business that I can imagine goes multiple generations.“

“I tried the plain bagel, muffin, chocolate croissant, danish, mixed fruits, and yogurt fruit cup with granola.- Plain Bagel: Subpar. Too chewy.- Muffin: Fluffy, moist, and tasty. This was my favorite of the things I tried.- Chocolate Croissant: Good but nothing special. Quality is comparable to supermarket-bought croissants rather than a fresh croissant from a bakery.- Danish: Too sweet so I wasn’t a fan.- Mixed Fruits: They weren’t that sweet, but you can never go wrong with fruits to balance out the heavier foods.- Yogurt Fruit Cup and Granola: The portion size was good. The yogurt was very smooth. I would have preferred plain yogurt. The granola was very crunchy and good.They have a lot of different menus to choose from for catering.“

“I cannot say enough good things about Wildfire Catering. They catered our wedding and the whole experience was absolutely seamless. Our venue did not have a kitchen so they prepared everything from the Amigos Locos food truck. We had a traditional happy hour with stationary and passed appetizers, and then our guests went out to the truck to select their dinner. They served our 100+ guests in no time. The food was delicious and people are still raving about it – my one friend commented that ours is the only wedding she’s attended where she left very full. Beyond the amazing food, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Bryan. He is very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience in the industry so he helped to craft the perfect menu for our event that gave everyone a choice of several options and accommodated all dietary restrictions. He also worked directly with the city to get the appropriate permits. Trust them with your next event and you’ll be in great hands!“

“This was quite literally the best meal I've had in months. The jerk chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender and absurdly delicious. The rice and peas are perfectly seasoned and cooked and the fried plantains are some of the best I've ever had. Don't sleep on this place! It's primarily a take-out spot, but there are a few seats at the counter if you want to eat in. The service is warm and welcoming, and the food is fantastic and made with love.“

“The process with Mariah from Food Trucks 2 Go was seamless from start to finish!! I had called many food trucks on my own with no luck and she was able to secure a food truck in no time. Mariah always responded promptly to my messages or questions and was so accommodating. The food truck was a hit for my son and niece's high school grad party and everyone loved the food and the service. I would highly recommend working with food trucks 2 go for your next event!!“

“Capers did the catering for our wedding on 10/8. Our previous caterer had to cancel on us and Capers stepped up and blew us away. We had duck for dinner and lamb for appetizers! We had vegan and gluten free guests and they loved their options as well, don't worry. Their tasting room was fun too!“

“Came here for a late breakfast, since it was close to our hotel. Can't say enough good things about the place. Prices were reasonable, especially for being in the heart of the city. Portions were generous and everything tasted great! I had the traditional breakfast with bacon and it came with a heaping pile of home fries, and a couple. nice slices of sourdough toast. My only complaint is that the bacon wasn't thickly sliced. My daughter had the Challah French toast and gave it two thumbs up!“

“I had called 6 bakeries including my go to bakery, I needed a chocolate cake with lemon frosting lol, I know what a combo! That’s what the birthday boy wanted! No one would make it, others offered a lemon filling, but no icing!! I called Arthur’s it have been a decade correct more since I had been there, the baker was sweet, agreed to make this cake! And WOW JUST WOW!! It was incredibly fabulous, the cake was outstanding but the icing was not screaming lemon, it had the perfect level of lemony flavor ! I cannot thank them enough! “Compliments to the chef! I ordered catering through Rita's for my birthday dinner. It was very last minute but they were able to make it happen! Fiona, though very busy (holiday season) was so supportive throughout the process. The food was AMAZING!! Everything was tasty - no salt or pepper needed - absolutely flavorful. The apps were great - tequila lime chicken skewers, beef skewers, crab cakes, shrimp and charred corn, citrus scallops - all delectable! For the main dish, they recreated this sea bass dish with bouillabaisse, clams, and potatoes! Again, super tasty!! Would recommend them for any small or large gathering - true professionals!!“

“I have been enjoying Chicken and Rice guys since it was a line of food trucks!Whether you order from the kiosk or the counter the food comes out immediately - they know how to move the lunch crowd along. I always get the chicken on rice. And I usually get the garlic sauce, the barbeque sauce or some mix of the two. It's consistently good, but your other options are tofu or gyro - but I've never had either. They have cans of soda (coke company!) and some house made beverages. Always a delicious meal. This is the only brick and mortar location I've ever been to - and though I liked the Cheeseboy that was here years before, Chicken and Rice guys is a step up. (The cheeseboy lives on in a rectangular garbage slot in the center trashcan console that is the exact shape of the cheeseboy sandwich boxes)My less favorite things.The Kiosk is right in front of the door, so if a customer is slow at the kiosk, folks queue up and block the door. I'm also not a fan of the hard plastic to go containers.“

“Have ordered from here multiple times throughout the pandemic but finally got to visit in person. Cute cafe vibe rather than a restaurant! My coffee was good. For food, I highly recommend the arepas (like with sweet plantains), cachapa con queso (which has the best cheese and sweet corn flavor like I cannot explain how freakin good it is), and yucca fries with the dip.It's a lil cramped inside and so we had to wait a bit after ordering for a regular table to clear, although they do have a bar-like seating too.“
