“We got 7 tacos for a decent price. Very flavorful and correct portions. The place was nice but could do a better job of making more ambience especially because you can see people walking by and an hear traffic around.Service was slow but quick to clean up.“
“The staff at Brassica are so knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. They bump the best playlists, joke with you, discuss taste preferences, honor allergies, and are actually excited to provide a good dining experience. It's truly a neighborhood gem that I want to gatekeep so badly but will not because everyone deserves this level of stellar dining and the team here deserves to succeed! The food is funky with a heavy focus on fermentation along with honing culinary techniques from around the world without trying to put out “Asian food” or “Latin cuisine” or “fusion”, just their own creations. They make spirits in house (turns out I can like vermouth!) and source wines from places most others restaurants don’t dare to cover. It’s where I bring all my visitors if I can snag a table!“
“Had to make a reservation two months in advance, but happy to report that Tonino was well worth the wait! The interior is lovely—very cozy with classy decorations. The pizza is available for take-out, but the pasta is only available for dine-in, so we tried as many pastas as we could stomach. Unfortunately, the special advertised on the wall wasn't available, so we ended up getting:- Taleggio Cappelletti ($26): This dish only comes with 8 cappelletti, so the portion size is more akin to an appetizer, but this was my favorite of the pastas that we ordered. Rich, cheesy filling with a subtly sweet sauce. Delicious.- Lumache ($26): Second favorite. Very al dente (borderline crunchy; too al dente for my friend, but I liked the bite). Some tangy notes from the creme fraiche. Portion size was better than the taleggio cappelletti, but I wish there were more or larger cuts of mushroom.- Chitarra & Clams ($28): Wouldn't get this again. Very peppery, and the flavor didn't pack a punch like the other two pastas. Chitarra wasn't al dente, and the clams were quite small. Breadcrumbs were good.- Tiramisu ($14): Also available for take-out but had to get it because it's their signature dessert. I was in heaven. The mascarpone was runnier than that of other tiramisus that I've had, but I liked it like that. Very smooth and creamy. Loved the sporadic bits of salt too. There were two servers who waited on us throughout the night. Both were friendly. There's complimentary still or sparkling water, which was a plus. 5% kitchen appreciation fee, which is higher than the usual 3%.Overall, highly recommend this place. I think it is my favorite Italian place in Boston now!“
“Such a unique and special experience and meal. I went in without a reservation and was able to get a seat. Coolest restaurant menu I’ve ever seen, annotated with so much meaning and history behind every ingredient and dish. I ordered two drinks, a main, and a side. Everything was delicious. After eating, I spent some time sipping a drink on the couch/lounge area looking at their books. An immersive cultural experience. I will be back. You can tell this place has so much love and energy behind it.“
“This restaurant is amazing, my favorite in Boston. We loved the meatballs, ragu, the NY strip steak, the panna cotta, and the cocktails. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sauce and accompaniments really make the dish shine. The service is impeccable, with new dishes between each course, timely service, and all around professionalism. I’ve gotten the orchiette pasta before and this time it wasn’t as I remembered - it had a bit of a charred flavor. We mentioned this, and we had a replacement dish in no less than 90 seconds. Truly impressive! The manager, Tyler, is an absolute delight, and apologized personally. He also brought us a lovely wine pairing with our pana cotta desert, which also included a candle and congratulations card, as I was celebrating that evening. I feel you really cannot go wrong with this restaurant, everything is impeccable and so worth it.“
“Great place for food and drinks in Boston. The food quality is much better than your average food court and alcohol is available. It's not as large as the one in Lisbon but there's still a decent variety of food choices. We had lunch there prior to a Red Sox game and went there for supper after the game. The place was not overly busy both times so it was easy to find seating.Overall, we prefer the Time Out Market over the High Street Place food hall downtown. At Time Out Market your food is served on real plates with proper cutlery and the beer comes in a glass. At High Street Place, your food is served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery and draft beer in a plastic cup.“
“You can roll a D20 to get a mystery drink, and the concotuons we got were very good but wild. One was the spiciest drink ive ever had. The food here is fantastic, but the plates are small. The restaurant itself is even smaller, so you'll need a reservation to eat.100% would go again.“
“Visiting Boston on business. My group and I went here for lunch and it was stellar. I had the Zuni Roll and I wish I could get another. The onion ring apps were very tasty. The beer selection is pretty good and the staff recommendations were spot on. Staff was great as well and attentive. Highly recommend.“
“Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The fried chives were so good. The curries were so different and delicious. The shrimp and pomelo salad along with the green papaya was tasty. They have a bar opening soon and I can wait to check it out!Vegetarian options: Quite a few options to make things vegetarian or that are vegetarian.“
“A past Boston local first introduced me to Giulia by donning it the only Italian restaurant they’d go to on that side of the water. So there’s that. Not only did they very kindly fit us in on a Friday night, the food and service was absolutely excellent. Top notch food and drink, great vibes. Will absolutely be back. Special shout-out to their incredible co-owner who very kindly sent me my Project Paulie hat I left there by accident. You guys are the truly the best! THANK YOU!“
“This was such a fun and adventurous activity! The food was delicious, and it was exciting guessing what you were eating. The drinks were excellent, and the servers and host did a great job. The atmosphere looked wonderful, dark room, with small colored lit faux candles.“
“If I could only get cocktails from one place for the rest of my life, they would be at Farmacia. The seasonal menus mean there are always new and very creative cocktails to try and the 9-seat limit lends itself to fun and interesting conversations with your host and other patrons. Phillip is so welcoming and accommodating and it really adds to the experience. Reservations are hard to come by but are well worth the wait.“
“First off, the service throughout our meal was exceptional. Atmosphere of the restaurant is also quite nice for an upscale seafood joint. The seafood itself was phenomenal - fresh and of high quality. Actual entrees fell just a bit flat, however, though we loved our visit.“
“What a lovely restaurant. The outside is swagger with flowers around the door, very much like cafes in Paris. The food was spectacular. We had oysters and shrimp, shepherd’s pie, beetroot and blood orange salad, homemade tagliatelle bolognese and a spicy lobster pasta dish. Desserts are inventive and delicious. We got a banana sundae, a combination of bananas foster with banana bread and ice cream. The cocktails are beautiful. Different and cool with fun names. There are two bars in a lovely cozy setting of white lights, windows and hardwood floors. Definitely will be back.“
“I came here to celebrate Valentine's day with my husband. Personally speaking, I've not been a big fan of Asian fusion food, but I was delightfully surprised by the food at Myers & Chang. We got one beef udon dish and a braised beef dish, with both turning out very good but both a bit salty - so we had to get one more bowl of rice to top up. Additionally, they were kind enough to let me order a drink from the brunch menu. I would come back!“
“Delicious Peruvian food with expensive Boston prices. Quality over quantity, the portions feel a bit small but everything was very good.Parking is a bit tricky. There's limited street parking and I believe you are allowed to park in the lot by the grocery store. There's no sign saying otherwise. My friend parked there for the hour and a half we were there on a Saturday night and his car was still there.Edit from their website about parking: "There is plenty of street parking on BOTH sides of our street (Adams Street). This includes the area directly in front of the restaurant and across the street on the side of Russo’s Tux. There is additional parking on Garfield Street, just around the corner, as well as Wesley Street which is behind our building. The parking lot next to our building is NOT ours and vehicles will be towed. Please help us respect our neighbors! Please feel free to call the restaurant with any questions."Parking: Street parking, and maybe the lot at the end by the grocery store. Don't park in the one next to the restaurant, that's residential only“
“It's been awhile since we'd eaten at Elephant Walk and my wife & I realized how much we missed it!The menu is unique, combining French & Cambodian dishes in a very tasty way. We always order the Rouleaux (a variation on a spring roll that you roll yourself) for a starter. Other favorites include Amok Royale & Curry of Shrimp Crevettes. The wine list has a great selection, though it leans a bit pricey. I wouldn't skip dessert; we had a flourless chocolate cake. Service was friendly & pitch-perfect. On-street parking is very easy and it's not a far walk from Back Bay Orange Line station or the Silver Line bus. We won't wait so long to return!“
“From start to finish it was amazing. The drinks and food were delicious. Atmosphere was so unique and you felt like you were truly in another place. The bartender we had was so different than anyone we've ever met. His food and drink recommendations were spot on.“
“When visiting a French restaurant expectations are high. The food tends to be exquisite and some dishes are here. The Foie Gras is amazing and so are all the deserts we tried. However the escargot which is something I always try at French restaurants was only ok.The service varies on who your server is as we had friends who came to the restaurant after we sat and we ordered before they even got their menus and yet they had their appetizers first. When looking for someone to call for a refill and even when we wanted the menus for desert, it is very difficult to catch anyone looking at your table as if each waiter will only look at their own table only. On the bright side they brought us water as soon as we sat and refilled it often. That is how I would get someone's attention...finish my water so someone could come by and I could ask for something. The place is very small and you will have to be a party of two and be lucky to get a table without a reservation, which is what happened with our friends..who came in a little after we sat and were hoping they could sit with us, but with such little space it seemed unlikely they would even be able to get a table but as they were asking a table for two was leaving. Its rather on the expensive side which can be understood with the quality of some of the dishes, however I would except everything to be great for these prices. Its a good place with potential to be great.“
“I've been to the Bodega several times and have always had a positive experience. My girlfriend and I went on our first date here and had a great time. Food is delicious, particularly the creative dishes that incorporate new American and Asian fusion with unique flavors. The drinks are strong and delicious.“
“The food here is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the wait. Expect a wait time of 30 minutes to an hour due to its popularity, but it's well worth it. It's a pretty small place but can seat a lot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally, I tried the Swing Pork Belly, Yo-In-Style Ramen Noodles, Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup, and Black Fish Fillet with Szechuan Pickles. The Swing Pork Belly with its incredible garlic sauce and the Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup with the perfect amount of spice and meat were standouts. If I could dine at Mountain House for every meal, I definitely would.“
“We had the cold style lobster roll and while pricey, it was really good. Nice, chunky bits in the lobster roll. The meat had a nice sweet quality that's indicative of lobster from Cape Cod. The bread was properly buttered and grilled. The only downside was they splashed vinegar in the lobster. It must be an acquired taste but not something I loved. Also the fries were overcooked and just not tasty.“
“A notable destination for Mediterranean seafood fares in the heart of Back Bay.Recently took a visit for dinner. Set against a backdrop of a modern lounge vibe, complete with high ceilings, Porto seemed like an ideal spot for date nights. As advertised, their menu featured a blend of Italian pasta and Mediterranean seafood dishes. We started off our meal with the Crispy Calamari. It was a decent appetizer that aligned with the typical offerings of a modern Italian restaurant. Its seasoning was a tad overbearing, but it still set a nice tone for the meal. From their pasta selections, we opted for theWild Mushroom Mafalde and the Wild Boar Cocoa Pappardelle. The Pappardelle boasted a tender boar ragu with umami from Manchego, but it unfortunately suffered from a lack of cohesion. The pasta itself was slightly undercooked and lacked depth in flavor, failing to fully harmonize with the ragu. On the other hand, the Mafalde was enjoyable. The combination of garlic butter and Aleppo pepper introduced a welcomed acidity, and the interplay of textures between the al dente Mafalde and the succulent mushrooms was particularly satisfying. The highlight of the evening was the Seared Bronzino. Unlike many other Branzino dishes I've tried in Boston, which often fell flat in flavor, Porto’s rendition was masterfully-seasoned. Each bite struck a perfect balance between salinity and the sweet nuances of the squash purée.While Porto may not be the best Mediterranean spot in Back Bay, its seafood offerings, particularly the Seared Bronzino, make it worth a return visit. The pricing, given the quality and ambiance, also doesn’t feel too excessive. Recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for an upscale romantic venue with great food and atmosphere.Parking: Prudential public parking garage“
“We really loved the food at Stillwater! Started with the biscuits and homemade cheez-its, which were both absolutely fantastic. I had the red beans & rice as my main and the person I was with enjoyed the dumplings- both were great choices. The pb&j crème brûlée was a favorite- wished there was a bit more jam but it was delicious nonetheless. Service was less than stellar though- lack of water refills and it took an incredibly long time to get the check. Overall we had a great time!“
“This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever had. It was all perfect. Atmosphere, service and food all perfect. There really is not much more to say. I felt like I was scamming them for how inexpensive it was. I want to come back here just for this.“
“The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all incredible. We ordered a breakfast burger, brussel sprout salad, and french toast. It was all delicious and looked so good that we forgot to take pictures of it. The drinks were also tasty and decorated in a fun way. The waitstaff were so friendly and nice which led to a fun and easy-going atmosphere. It was a perfect place to go for brunch. We can't wait to come back and try lunch and dinner here too!Vegetarian options: There's a salad section and vegetarian options in the shareable section.Parking: All of the parking lots in Assembly Row are free if you stay under 3 hours.Kid-friendliness: This is a great place to bring kids and families. Its also great for a group of friends and couples.Wheelchair accessibility: The tables and entrance are all wheelchair accessible.“
“I've been several times and I've never been disappointed. There are a few things I would change on the menu if I was in charge, but they execute what they offer very well. Would love to have a bit more vegetarian creativity, but even the plain "cheese enchiladas" are amazing. The ambience both indoors and out (when the weather is good) is great. All in all I think Acitron is an example of a city-class restaurant that happens to be conveniently located here in my town. Lucky to have them.“
“After every bite we found ourselves saying “mmmm this is so good”. From one course to the next. The blend of flavors was amazing. This is the best food in the greater Boston area. I will be recommending this restaurant to anyone who asks where they should eat in Boston.“
“I was dejected from having the displeasure of a quite frankly awful experience at a putrid spanish restaurant down the street. I had decided to come here in a pinch to satiate my growing hunger, and it did not disappoint. The waiter was helpful and nice, and the environment was quite lovely. I was seated in a booth with my group, and I ordered the New york Bianca with Italian sausage and hot honey. The pizza was absolutely delicious and I couldn't recommend more. The other pizzas looked great as well.I can not speak on the appetizers as we did not order any. However, they looked good too.5/5“
“So nice to go anywhere where you don't have to remind anyone of your gluten allergy. Went with two non allergy friends and they enjoyed the experience as much as I did. Great variety of foods offered with our tea. Service was excellent and ambience was lovely.“
“Party of 4 - we had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Service was great. Very attentive waiter. All of us enjoyed the apps (eggplant rollatini and brushetta) and entrees. I got the chicken, broccoli and penne in Alfredo sauce and it was so creamy and delicious. Martinis were top notch too - espresso and strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend.“
“The food was delicious, The service was wonderful, very nice and friendly people. Although I didn't see it on the menu, I asked the bartender about the French 75, which is my favorite drink, and I'm quite picky about it. THEY MADE THE BEST FRECH 75 that I had in Boston. Highly recommended!“
“The lamb burger was excellent. Went in for a quick bite and our waiter was kind enough to split our shared meal - the lamb burger and fries with truffle - on two plates and maintained the presentation and quality of the food. But the real winner of the night were the two homemade cookies we took home. My only complaint of the evening was the back corner of the restaurant we were seated in was a little too dark for my liking. Overall though, a solid place for dinner.“
“Jinny’s has been our favorite pizza since they opened. Everything is amazing from the pizzas to the appetizers and the service is 10/10. The pepperoni pizza and caesar salad are a must! The ‘mike’s hot honey’ is great added on to the pizza. Don’t forget to add a buttermilk ranch dippin’ sauce for the crust. We do both dine in and take out. Seating is pretty limited so plan ahead. No reservations. Worth the wait! They move quick too.“
“As per usual my favorite bar wish it was closer to where I live! They also have more small plate options which is great! Their attention to detail with music, cocktails, glassware, knowledge of many things never goes unnoticed and a great amount of cat statues around the room! As well as beautiful murals and Star Wars memorabilia. Can't wait to go back when I lived in Massachusetts I was there way more often! Impeccable service wonderful to watch the bartender move flawlessly they were from Arkansas awesome style! Music was phoenix, say anything, the strokes, Radiohead etc. they also have a special pop up nerd boi Monday? where they have board games, big screen video games and cocktails inspired by all the cool things!“
“Sailor was one of the nicest bartenders I’ve ever met. She was sweet and informative and her class was paced well so that no one got left behind. And also we had all questions answered. We learned about some very unique drinks. Thank you Sailor we enjoyed it very much and we are very excited to try the drinks at home with our new Bourbon.“
“An incredible Uruguayan restaurant! The menu is delicious and the presentation is incredible. The service is excellent, with so much attention and care. And the restaurant is impeccably decorated and feels so cozy! The owners are so sweet and kind, ensuring that you'll have a wonderful time. A great place for dates, group dinners, catching up with friends, or events. Their drink menu is extensive and full of delicious options. Can't wait to return!“
“You have to reserve a table. We waited for 20 min before they asked us what we wanted. And what was frustrating was, the table next to us came ten minutes after us. Was asked what they would like before us.The food was excellent! The prices were more than fair.I’m glad I went and tried them.“
“This place is a hidden gem for comfort food. Hats off to the chef who created the Pretzel Crusted Chicken! It was an absolutely delicious dish, Kudos! You can taste the prep they put into it, it’s very flavorful. The portion sizes did not disappoint. I was happy to have leftovers for the next day, it was that good. I surely will be a returning customer ☺️“
“Our new favorite joint!! The portions are generous and cocktails are on point. Max and Chelsea are amazing humans and it’s evident the love they’ve poured into this restaurant. Dining there feels like coming home… minus the family drama/judgment and with the tastiest, most nurturing home cooked meal. We are so happy to have this neighborhood gem so close to us.“
“Our server Jack was just wonderful. The owner also came over and helped us pick out wine and really nice. We felt very well taken care of and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious, but quite pricey so I would save this for a special occasion. But it's a must!!“
“Can't think of a thing on the menu that's not authentic tasting and delicious. If you go definitely order the Moussaka. It comes in a baked dish, the custard like flavor and spices used are so delicious. Also just the basic Greek potatoes are very good with a little bit of a lemon taste. Chicken any way they cook it is also good.Vegetarian options: The Mediterranean salad is excellent. Also you can order things like the Greek potatoes, spanikopita and baklava.“
“Energetic atmosphere with a creative cocktail menu and a variety of food options.Vegetarian options: They have many vegetarian apps, guacamole, pizza bites, brussel sprouts, lettuce wraps, etc. Also, some creative salad options. My favorite is the Harvest bowl (quinoa, farro, baby kale, roasted brussels sprouts, pomegranate seeds and roasted butternut squash).Parking: Large parking lot but it does get busy/ full.Kid-friendliness: Energetic atmosphere with all ages welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps to entrance, all one level but it does get crowded.“
“A must visit when in south end, an uptown vibrant cafe in heart of the city, serving delicious food and good drinks! Slightly higher on price, but a decent spot if you want to have that 11pm-12am dinner. The chicken in 20 garlic cloves is the DISH I’D GO BACK FOR A MILLION TIMES. Otherwise the Franklin Burger is also a must try! The bartenders make fire cocktails! Manager Sean endured a very good experience in general, go there alone or with a couple of friends and you’ll have a great time!“
“There's lots of good Thai food around Boston but Thonglor is my favorite! Every time I take a new bite I literally think the words, "This is cooked to perfection" LOL... like the Ratatouille critic... Such a dependable delivery place, I try to order something new each time and every single dish has been delicious! I can tell from photos that the dine-in plating looks beautiful, and I think even in the take-out boxes you can tell there is lots of care put in. :) I love the pad kee mao, khao pad tomyum, and mango sticky rice. The curry puffs and keaw wan gai are also great!“
“I went to see Pet Cobra, The Roscoes and Vern Matz perform this past Sunday (all incredible artists). It was my first time at the Jungle and loved the vibe. Bartender was nice and I ordered a kimchi chicken sandwich, which was surprisingly so tasty. Looking forward to coming back!“
“My boyfriend and I love the Quiet Few, and I knew for his 30th birthday he would love to celebrate there. I coordinated renting the front portion of the bar with Gwen to throw him a surprise party, and it went off without a hitch! Gwen and the rest of the Quiet Few Crew went above and beyond to make this event special. I can't thank them enough for this. The Quiet Few truly cares about their customers in a way that seems hard to come by these days, and that's why I'll always recommend it and keep coming back!“
“Got no pics for this as everything was too good to stop and snap a pic. But just know, you should go here if you want a slightly more unique dining experience in Boston. Sit at the bar for the full experience, as the bartenders are very helpful/knowledgeable. It's a cocktail bar with amazing drinks but don't sleep on the food. It's the real deal. Salmon crudo was incredible, perfect amount of tartness. Braised lamb parpaldelle was delicious as expected, and the carbonara I believe is one of the best around. Highly recommend this spot.“
“They have lots of interesting dishes that you don’t usually find in a sushi restaurant in the US. The location is also great, with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. They also have metered street parking nearby.Parking: Paid street parking from Mon/Sat during the day. Evenings and Sundays are free.“
“5 Star Dive Bar Dive Dive Dive Dive Dive Old schoolers run a bar serving powerful drinks, cold beers, and play keno. I don't even know how to describe attached to a tire repair shop. Never seen it before and I love the whole thing. This is about as salt of the earth as you can get. The bar staff is super nice and the patrons are playing some great tunes on the jukebox. They say they serve food, but I don't think it is true. Who cares? Drinks are 6 bucks and beers are 3 or 4, you can't beat it. The decor has not been updated in decades either. Good You don't find many dive bars like this, it is one of the best I've found in a while. I'm just sorry I didn't find it a decade ago. You might drive by and miss so look hard, because if you want to stop in a real dive bar and have a hard drink, then this is your place. I know it's mine. Thanks“
