Definitely would love to come back again.“

They do dollar oysters every day until 5:30pm, which is hard to find these days. It's the best deal in town! We also love the poutine and there's usually a few great local/seasonal beers on draft. I can't say I've ever been blown away by any food or drink here, but haven't had anything that I didn't care for either, and overall have found it pretty consistent and am usually satisfied with my meal. The menu doesn't change a whole lot, and I'd personally love to see more rotating specials, specifically with a description of them online (the take-out portal saying something like "salmon special" doesn't really help describe what the dish is about?).“

“My fiancé and I moved to Weymouth a few months ago and one of the first places we went to eat was Johnny Kono's. At first, we were thrown off by how few tables there were, but once we settled in and the food started coming, it has become one of our favorite places to eat. The El Chapo wings are some of the best we've ever had, great spice and flavor with a some acidity to tie it all together. The burgers are incredible, even the Louis lunch burger, which although very simple, always is delicious. They really live up to their claim of being a "Five Star Dive Bar." “I tried the Venus Cafe for the first time today for takeout. I ordered a green pepper onion and mushroom pizza. I got there early and got it as soon as he popped it into the box, so there was no time for it to steam in the box. I usually have my dog with me, so that's why I get take-out a lot. A little bit of flop at the beginning due to it being piping hot and loaded with toppings. Tasted great, and the price was good. This place is one of the goats of this style of pizza, ssbp. The only complaint is that they use sliced toppings, not chopped. And that's just a personal preference due to years of thinking I took a clean bite of pizza, and then a chunk of blistering topping comes with it and tags me on the chin. Lol. I went to the takeout side and dealt directly with the cook, and he was very nice. I have no clue about the bar area, but friendly kitchen staff speaks volumes for a place. I'm slowly trying all the places that do this style of pizza in the area, and this one did not disappoint.“
“Reserved two seats for one of their live music nights. Worth it! Pulled up in Stoughton at Toffee. The outside is inviting with its script and neon chocolate signage. Stepped in expecting a greeting but had to walk to the back for the hostess. We were seated in a prime location facing the bar and live music area. Service was great, moktails were tasty. Other drinks around me looked appealing. Heard that the bartender can make anything to your liking. Next time!! Food menu isn't that grand, the draw is the bar and live music. Flatbread was cheesy good but the crabmeat balls were just OK. Chicken Caesar salad wrap and chips looked good, not huge but satisfying. Worth the drive from Providence for drinks and snack food. Love that it's black-owned. The atmosphere is fantastic with a cute lounge area by the door and ample seating for groups & couples. Like I said it's all about the bar. The lighting is fantastic and the decor electrifying.“

“We wanted to show our friends another great place to go for a great view, food and service. We had a table by the window, the outline of Boston behind me. Our server was Sara as we requested her because of another incredible visit a few weeks ago. She gave us time as they were running late and did it with a smile. Her presence was noticed by them as she is always so happy, professional and made lunch special. My wife had the Chicken Pot Pie and she said it reminded her of her Grandmother. Our friends had a fish dish and they enjoyed it. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Pasta. It was delicious, absolutely delicious. We had cannoli for dessert and they were delicious as well. We will be back and Sara mentioned the outside deck would be a great spot in the Spring, Summer and Fall.“

“We finally returned to The Snug since before COVID restrictions. We loved the Irish music and oldies bands. We arrived before the music this evening and were lucky to be seated immediately. It is usually crowded and noisy. Our server was personable and got our drinks and food quickly. The Snug is, as the name suggests, a snug Irish pub filled with Irish memorabilia. The Smithwicks had a plump foamy head and is lighter than Guinness. My SO's sangria had a hint of peach schnapps flavor. The Greek salad was more than enough for two. The fried haddock sandwich was so big I thought it was the fish dinner. The fish was flaky with a crunchy exterior and the roll was soft and delicious. I had it served with vegetables; the carrots and green beans were tasty but the broccoli was cold. The appetizing chicken salad sandwich was a bit different; shredded chicken and craisins were on a hot dog bun and the mayo was on the side. We will return to The Snug soon to enjoy the music, food and drinks.“

There was a long wait so I decided to get some bread or something for my daughter as well as a beer at the bar. It took a long time for the bartender to respond since she was cleaning down the bar and counting cash. Bartender finally came over and after I asked said, “there is no bread- here’s a menu” and when the beer arrived she said, “cash only” when I tried to hand her a card. Bartender seemed bothered that I was ordering and was not friendly at all. When it came time for the pizza once we were seated- one pizza arrived and the other one didn’t and the waiter said, “one was lost in the oven”. We had to wait over 30 minutes for another one to be made. There was no attempt to make the situation right.All and all the pizza is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the customer service is not good and it doesn’t have to be because of the pizza.“
