“SHIRLEY has been a bright light in my life since it opened a few doors down from me. Kat is a one woman show and cares deeply about where food comes from & her customers!! Her menu is based on fruits and veg that are in season, and rotates frequently. Whenever I come in to pick up an order, she always takes the time to point out new vegan items on the menu, tell me about her plans, and even chat for a few minutes, all while she's prepping orders. The bread is famous for a reason. It's versatile and so comforting! SHIRLEY is adventurous and delicious and is a great place to go for veg folks bringing along non - veg friends. happycow only allows 5 stars for full vegan/veg restaurants, so don't let the 4 stars fool you. And don't forget the pickles and your fun drink! “Would have liked to give this place a 5 but the state of the kitchen was a little anxiety inducing to anyone observant enough to peek inside. Prep was not done and although we were the only people who ordered, our sandwiches took about 10minutes to assemble. We ordered the lamb sando and the porchetta. The lamb left something to be desired but the porchetta was delightful. Delicious sandwich.“

“This particular store is not designed for a family "dine in" atmosphere. Which is to say get your sandwiches and get moving. Its high paced and can get crowded rather quickly. This did not affect the quality or service at all during my visit. As i watched on the employees were unbeatable and seem to smile even more as customers provided a number difficult requests and at a pretty annoying rate and speed. I was impressed by the amount of professionalism and patience displayed by the 2 working yesterday.“

“This location is getting way better than past. I see one employee in night sift. She is very nice. I live near by here & because of work I usually get late in night. I like to eat hot right away, many time I reached here around 8:45 and this nice girl let me seat in restaurant and let me eat my sub in restaurant only. Some times because of me she close 5-7 min late. Who does these thing in this real world Who ?Very few and she is one of them.On basis of my experience the staff is changed and one of the best location in this area to go and grab your sub.“

“After being unable to give a phone order for takeout at a snooty vegan place nearby that, snootily, doesn’t accept them, we were welcomed at Billy’s, even though they were surely busy when we called.When we arrived, we asked if they might have a bathroom we could use even though there was absolutely no apparent public restroom. Thing is, my friend is mostly blind and likes to drink coffee, meaning I always need to look for a place for her to go. Several employees went out of their way to accommodate us in their very tiny prep and kitchen spaces as we moved through to use their private restroom in the back. ?It was so very kind and thoughtful and if I could give them 10 stars I would! ?Simple consideration, like answering the phone to take an order and letting someone use the restroom even if it inconveniences their operations for a moment, demonstrates LOVE is still alive in the world and it can be found at Billys! OMG, and then there was the food!!! The omelettes were amazing, the home fries were delicious and when we wished we had gotten ketchup with our takeout, there it was in the bag, along with the extra napkins for my friend. And don’t get me started on the blueberry pancakes… Amazing!!!?The value was unbeatable and even as we were walking out the door, the love continued as I was carefully handed two coffees in a carrier and our paper bag of food as they could see I was leading my friend. “Happened upon the Square Deli when a friend were in Chelsea for a medical test. OMGOODNESS. It was amazing. The menu was huge and so were the sandwiches. We had a Reuben and Paisano with lotsa fresh ingredients including yummy fresh bread. Served with homemade chips and pickles. Enough for 2 meals or to split if we agreed on the sandwich, lol. The owner was SO nice and friendly and accommodating. We opted for take out containers for another meal and the chocolate chip (homemade & huge) again with a great balance of soft in the middle and crispy on edges. They have been working on their cookies for a while, so they say, I think it's by far the best cookie I have ever had! hopefully don't have to go back for medical tests but would definitely field trip for their pizza next which has won many awards.“

“Visited this place on a sunday and was not disappointed! It runs like a well oiled machine. We got hot lobster rolls and the chowder. It was wonderful. The owner came out and made sure our sandwiches were on point, replacing one (fried fish) that was a little bit overcooked. He came back multiple times to make sure we all loved our food. This is a guy that really cares about his place. Definitely go here if you are visiting. Five stars definitely“
