“When a place gets a universal thumbs up from your New England family, you know it must be good…..and they were right!I ordered the blackened swordfish steak with fries and coleslaw. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw just how thick it was! Most beef steaks at restaurants aren’t as thick as thing was. It was delicious! I’ve been to restaurants where the seasoning overpowers the fish itself. Not here. It had the perfect balance of that unique swordfish flavor with the blackened seasoning.The decor of the place is simple/quaint. With a fish market at one of the building, you know that the fresh seafood is the star of the show, not any fancy decor.Service was very friendly and attentive. The servers here actually take the time to get to know their customers. Big thumbs up there.So, if you’re looking for authentic, fresh-from-the-sea, New England seafood in a no-frills, down home environment, Cape Quality Seafood is your place.*UPDATE*I added their House Quahog & Lobster Mac n’ Cheese to my “tried” list.Their House Quahog is mildy spicy & deep-fried for a crispy outside & soft, moist inside. It’s as large as it is delicious & surprisingly filling for an appetizer.Their Lobster Mac n’ Cheese is as delicious as it sounds. Rich, creamy cheese with chunks of delicious New England Lobster throughout. The serving itself is large (like everything else on the menu) and very filling for even the hungriest diner.“

“Food options were fantastic, I enjoyed the selection and the way the ordering system is set up.I definitely intend to visit again, I think the price was fair though they brought the check a half hour before the time limit was up. I was a little disappointed by that but it definitely did not diminish my experience , merely an observation.The environment is loud, its mostly the commotion of the staff doing what they need to do. With that being said it does cultivate a sense of privacy if you're seated at a table with other customers.I did think the space like theme was an interesting choice.I definitely recommend a visit, especially if you're looking for vegetarian options or are a big meat lover like myself, there's plenty of options for both sides of the spectrum.“

“Good Food I was very pleasantly surprised by this inconspicuous little restaurant. It was really hard to decide what to order. There were so many choices-pizza, pasta, seafood, steak, prime rib and some unexpected dishes like lobster ravioli. I had deliciously creamy clam chowder loaded with potatoes and tender clams, perfectly cooked scallops and warm bread pudding loaded with whipped cream. Everything was delicious, and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. Definitely worth the drive. Thanks“

“Went there at night and had a blast. It got pretty crowded as the night went on so be prepared to not have much personal space but great hip hop and R&B music and atmosphere. The drinks are a little pricey but are big and strong. Will be going again with friends!“

“Service was really excellent at this little restaurant, but maybe everything came out a little too fast. Food was very good, but over $200 for 2 people was a little high IMO for a casual eatery... though it is on the water and there really arent any other immediate options in that vicinity. Windows were dirty but the restaurant itself including table, plates, silverware, etc. was very clean, so I think that was because they just reopened from being closed for the winter. The phone wasn't working but they did respond to email very quickly when trying to make a reservation. Parking lot was jammed but there was a little spillover room at the boat ramp (this is off-season and in the evening so be aware that this is NOT going to be the case during the summer and during the day). Nice vibe, people were happy to be there and generally enjoying themselves. Overall, great little place, we had a very nice time, will definitely visit again if possible when next in the area.“

“The service was superb. I ordered the Junior steak thinking I would get a small portion. It was quite a generous portion. The steak was perfectly cooked to order. The fries and rice were tasty. I enjoyed a side garden salad with the white Zinfandel dressing. It did not disappoint.“

“This venue was exactly what we were hoping for! The food and staff were incredible, and the venue offered a comfortable space for a large group of people. Many of our guests commented on how nice it was to not be "stuck" at their table since there was plenty of standing/seating room by the bar, upstairs with games, outside, and in cocktail hour space, yet you were never far from anything. Merrill's has everything you could possibly need for a wedding. Our coordinator RJ was awesome and made sure everything was perfect. Wish we could do it again!“

“Bayside is a restaurant/bar, or I should say a bar/restaurant. It's not a beautiful interior and no quiet romantic dining here. Many customers seem to be local regulars and I find it to be a friendly place. Every food item I have ordered has been fantastic. Their burgers are very good but their seafood is some of the freshest tasting that I have found in the New Bedford area. Most dishes are served with either fries or tater tots and they are great too.“

“1st i wanna start by saying the staff and service was good . And the food did taste great. But for their prices and portions given wasnt. For an example we ordered the shrimp & clams Mozambique plus the additional $3 for linguica... making this app $21/22. What we got was 4 shrimp 4 clams and 6 slices of linguica. I was in shock. And disappointed in myself for not taking a picture. Been to Fays before and know enough to go back and give it another chance. But it was 7:30 at night on a Saturday and it was not busy. I just think little more time and effort could of been made on on our entrees. $19 for 2 tacos. I usually get 3 for $17 anywhere else. And they came with sweet potato fries. So i had to ask the manager if i was getting charged extra for them as most places do. And wasnt something i asked for. Overall 7 out of 10. Will try again. But next visit will make or break our decision going there in future“

Definitely a 10 out of 10Parking: On busy days it's a little difficult to find parking but there is plenty of off street parking. But on a regular day there's plenty of parking ?“

“Security guard and receiving manager were pleasant as i sat here for 6+ hours trying to wait for my reefer to drop to -10 in 90+degree heat! Heads up make sure your reefer trailer is at -10 or colder BEFORE you get here or you will sit outside the gate waiting before even being allowed to back into the door! Business sits on a one way that ends at the water so you can't turn around til you hit the dock. Docks are a little tight but can be negotiated. Really Just make sure that temp is right!“

“Went here with a few people the other day. Overall it wasn't bad. Food was good. Got the steak n cheese wraps. Looked king like large steak n cheese egg rolls , also got some fried pickles and a hash brown with bacon and gold Fever sauce appetizer. Also tried the cheese burger which was pretty good. Little pricey for the type of food but wasn't disappointed with the meal.“

“I've never had a bad meal from Gene's! Brought my dad here for the first time while I was visiting and he loved it. Only took us five minutes to get our food. When we first got there, we were the only ones and by the time we left people were waiting. It's a typical casual restaurant with average noise, but you don't go there for the atmosphere.“

The tartar sauce was good and the coleslaw was good.Just wish the coleslaw portion was a little bigger. The onion rings were also lightly battered and crispy. No complaints here. “I had not eaten there in over a quarter of a century, and had missed their linguiça subs. Finally back in Dartmouth, I took my partner there. She loved the decor, which was exactly how I remembered it: the same live rubber tree, same faux Tiffany lamp sconces, real solid wood beams, all in a casual atmosphere. The subs did not disappoint. I asked how long they had been open, as I remember going there as a kid (I am 49 now), and was told that, at that location since 1976. The man who told me this was behind the counter, and is the current owner, son of the founder. Nostalgia meets quality!“

Came for the first time tonight, and regardless of my two bartenders, (Lucille & Devan), having never seen me before, they made me feel like a familiar regular. The food was great, the prices more than fair, and the service was professional, fun and welcoming. Was alone & felt there was a perfect balance between respecting me having my "me time", while also being engaging & hospitable. Thanks for the great experience ladies, I'll be back!“
