“Having dined at Basil Restaurant last night, I must say the ambiance was top-notch. The dim lighting and cozy seating made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow, as it took quite some time for our food to arrive. Nonetheless, when the dishes finally made their way to our table, they were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the basil-infused pasta, which was bursting with flavor. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food, but I do wish the portions were a tad larger. Overall, Basil Restaurant offers a decent dining experience with room for improvement in service efficiency.“

“Dinner and drinks with a friend, great service and food. We had a fish sandwich that was plentiful and delicious and the Parmesan fries were outstanding. My friend had the “plain Jane” pizza which was great too! Definitely a “go to” in the neighborhood. Drinks were excellent, a white sangria and a razz lemonade!“

“I have tried their fried chicken side order, fried chicken sandwich, Korean fried chicken sandwich, and mac and cheese. All were delicious.Also recently had the chicken salad sandwich. Overall it was good, but the Dijon mustard flavor was too strong. My parents took a few bites and weren't able to finish it.Eitherway, looking forward to try some of their other dishes.“

“We had an amazing meal in this cosy, warm and welcoming joint right in the middle of Newton centre.We went without a reservation and sat at the bar. The food was perfect in every way which does not happen frequently and when it does – it is a great experience. The cavatelli was outstanding. Same with the porkchops. The deserts were great too. The staff were attentive , and at the same time knowledgeable about what was on offer. The manager too was extremely nice and offered us some very helpful advice on the venue itself.All said, this is a place that one can keep going back to.Parking: Generally enough spots except during weekends“

“My boyfriend and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary today and had a great dinner!! He got the lamb tenderloin, and I got filet mignon. Both tasted amazing! Also, we got the smores and cookies/cream desserts, which were very good! Definitely will be coming back ?“

“Eli's is a cute spot for brunch. We came around 1 and have table right away but it could be pack in the morning. One thing I didn't like is my potato, other than that I really like omelette. The service is really quick as well. I will back and might try other stuffs.“

“Never disappoints! This place is quaint and hopping! We are from New York visiting our son and his family and have eaten here before. Service was superb. The chicken and broccoli flatbread...definitely tasty. Bolognese and chicken Parmesan were both delicious. Will absolutely come back on our next visit!“

“Love this place so much! I am from Texas, and Tacos and More really is one of my favorite places to get Mexican food up here (it's not Tex-Mex like I'm used to, but still so so good!). I usually get the Bandera Enchiladas (it's like an enchiladas sampler), delish. For drinks, I like the Cadillac Marg or the Skinny Marg. It's never been overly crowded here which has been great too since we haven an infant! All in all COME EAT HERE!“

“We always wanted to try Buttonwood and scheduled a birthday dinner there recently. The food was good but not great. Nothing really had any kind of a "wow" factor. The drinks were decent-again not extraordinary, just garden variety good. We appreciated birthday cannolis to help our celebration and our waitress was nice (although she did not appear to be experienced). We likely will not be back because there are better options available for a more exciting/interesting/excellent dining experience.“

“we had a table of 7 and everyone was happy. we started with the mussels and ceaser salad and both were delicious. I ordered the halibut and the the sauce was so yummy and the halibut cooked perfectly. others got the fish tacos and were happy . there was also a chicken and arugula salad that my husband liked. the service was beyond good. we also loved a house red wine and the desserts omg. the place, ambience is so nice. the only bad thing is I live far away.“

“We frequent Cook at least once a week. It’s our favorite place in Needham. The staff, the food, the atmosphere never disappoints. Although the entire staff is tremendous, we especially enjoy when Anderson is on the bar. He’s beyond friendly and always attentive. He makes a flawless drink with his rhythmic shaker!! “Food presentation and service was excellent. Our waitress particularly was fantastic. Attentive with a smile. My only complaint was that our Burrata salad was a bland. Just needed a sprinkle of salt and pepper which were not on the table. Main courses were delicious though. The atmosphere was fine but nothing really grabbed me to give that 5 stars.“

“We went for lunch there and ordered poke nachos, ahi tuna stack, sliders , truffle fries , orange chicken and Baja fish tacos. Poke nachos and ahi tuna stack were most delicious out of everything we ordered. if you are a fan of raw tuna and avocado, then this is for you. Truffle fries were great as well. The rest of the food was good too. Service was good considering they were very busy on a Sunday. They got us a table right away. Ambiance is lacking, there isn't much in terms of decor, it's very noisy , but we didn't mind because it is a very casual place and the food was tasty.“

“Went for lunch on Saturday. The food was very good. Server was nice, but not real attentive. They may have been a little understaffed. I had the Frisco (?) sandwich, and, tasty, as were the fries. I also had a piece of coconut cake, also very good. The whole milk latte (they don't have skim, which is odd) was excellent.“

“This was my first time trying this restaurant and the food was delicious and melt in my mouth feeling. My friend had been here before and we had the same waitress as the friend had used before. The staff was friendly and helpful with any of the needs we needed. There was also a space to eat outdoors if we wanted to and had various music playing as we ate and nice to hear. Had a great first visit and will come back to try something else once again.“

“Truly a phenomenally spiced burger, and it was high quality meat (no tiny hard bits of cartilage or whatnot, which I find quite common in burgers, even at the Cheesecake Factory and other nice restaurants).I have never had a grilled pineapple alon my food before but this was so tasty too!I also appreciated the couches and arm chairs and my waiter was super kind and polite.The artwork and music were fun too.“

“We booked a rehearsal dinner here. Food and service were great. As a former function manager, the head chef was very unprofessional. He should not be the main point of contact to book a function. My mother in law sent a cc for deposit information months in advance to which she received no response. Since she was in charge of the rehearsal dinner I did not check back in until closer to the date. I emailed John to confirm the menu to which his response was "You never sent a deposit" etc. all using accusatory words. I immediately sent over the email my mother in law forwarded me with the deposit information she sent 5 months prior to which she received no response. Had I known there was no response I would have called sooner. I called after John's email and spoke to Eric who was a great help. All was fixed and went well, but please have another point of contact for functions who is equipped to speak with the general public. There were so many ways to go about speaking with the bride and John's approach was not one of them.“

“This restaurant is 30 years old. I love this pub. It is family owned and all I can say is the food is delicious and staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my steak tips with eggplant fries! Who knew eggplant fries could taste so good!? Wings were fresh and good and dessert was Irish soda bread with whiskey sauce! Yum! Love the pub ambiance. I look forward to returning soon!“

“This review is for the bereavement luncheon at West On Centre hosted for my family earlier today. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our contact Eleanor who took care of it all for me. I essentially had two quick phone calls with her to discuss availability and make selections from the menu and the rest was completely taken care of for us. During a time of incredible stress and sadness, Eleanor made it clear she felt it's her job to take the planning of the luncheon off our plate so we could worry about all the other time sensitive necessary tasks involved in dealing with a death in the family. When we arrived tables were set, food was ready, and drinks were available. It was a wonderful way to gather at the end of a long two days. And everyone was happy with the pork, butternut squash ravioli, and chicken broccoli alfredo. Thank you so much Eleanor for alleviating a lot of stress during a difficult time. You handled it all with the care and compassion we needed.“

“Such phenomenal food and great prices and super friendly staff. We got the surf and turf, shrimp scampi, potato skin appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert. The seafood was incredibly fresh and huge portions. The surf and turf had plenty of lobster meat as well. Highly recommend all dishes.“

My six year old is a picky eater, so I expected her to say "It's not like the kind I like" and just pick at it a bit. Nope. She loved it. My wife and I liked ours too. “We stopped by here because everything around us was closed at 10PM. The drinks and food were awesome. They have a big selection of cocktails you would never think of trying. Their deviled eggs were so good and the bratwurst sausage was delish. Service was really great. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. We came back for a second round the next day!“

“I liked the place. The food tasted great. You can choose from salad or a warm grain bowl and add there a shish kebab. They have different options for shish kebabs. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken kebab. It was great. They have a nice drink menu. They even had 3 different options of Spritzes which is nice because I like them. My friends and I had a good time, we ordered desserts. We had Pot de Crème and some kind of donuts. Everything was so tasty. However, our waiter took forever to place our orders each time and to bring our checks. And he was always mumbling something. It was not a great experience. Other than that everything was perfect. There is parking available behind the building. This place is kinda small, I highly recommend making a reservation before you go there.“

“After seeing a post of the pepperoni pizza on facebook... we had to go for ourselves. I got the cheese pizza and the boyfriend got baked stuffed haddock. Everything was delicious and I loved the pizza. Our waitress Linda was so pleasant and so efficient. Great dinner out and definitely will return ?“

“Unexpectedly very good! Dropped a teenage grandchild off at school on a Sunday before the h.s. spring musical and drove off to downtown Waltham to look for a quick lunch. Parked in a nearly empty town parking lot (2 hrs for $2., a real bargain to us New Yorkers). Walked to Moody St., as usual no reservations, just yelp and hope. The first place we came to on the corner was BTT, looked like some decent vegetarian possibilities on the menu, so we went in. Took a couple of minutes but they did find seats for us (& it didn't fill up in the nearly an hour we were there, so not sure why they consulted over their reservations, but whatever). I ordered the avocado toast and added the 2 sunnyside up eggs option, thinking just avo toast wouldn't fill me, but I even told Niko, our server, that it was probably the best or definitely one of the best avocado toast dishes I've ever had (& it's a favorite of mine so I've had a few!). Two thick slices of a good rustic bread, chunky mashed avocado, greens, and then those perfect eggs - sooo delicious! The decaf coffees were fresh and good. Hubs had their black bean burger with fries and said it was really very good. There's an extensive beer menu, the place is pretty big, it's a college town, and we're guessing it's hopping in the evening, especially on weekends. Can't speak to that, but can say we had an amazing lunch!“

“We had a late brunch on a recent Sunday afternoon and we had a delightful time. It is a small but cozy place with a very friendly vibe, but also fairly busy at certain times.On this visit we had a number of things, with the highlights being the Poutine serving, the Humus plate, the Winter Salad and the Clam Chowder for starters. The appetizers were just phenomenal, very flavorful, especially the Poutine. Equally savory and delicious were the Salmon and Sirloin steak entree’s. The Salmon was done perfectly and the steak was very juicy and mouth watering. Our server Sarah was absolutely fantastic, and made our meal that much more enjoyable.We finished with the Crème brûlée and coffee and could not help but contemplate our return visit. If you are in the area and want a great meal with an inviting atmosphere, this place would be a great choice.“

We ordered the calamari, statler chicken and steak frites - all were delicious and well portioned! For dessert we got both the chocolate bread pudding and crème brûlée - also delicious and not a bite left on the plate! Our server was wonderful (Sergio) and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation, nor too quiet to worry people could eavesdrop! “Went to Burtons Bar & Grill in Framingham for dinner tonight. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed!! Our waiter, Gustavo, was excellent and very knowledgeable about celiac. I felt 100% safe. I ordered the Orchard Sangria which was like fall in a cup!! We split the Point Judith Calamari which we both enjoyed (even my non-celiac husband said he couldn’t tell it was GF). For my meal I got the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto. It was DELICIOUS! One of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time! We will definitely be back, even though it’s a 40+ minute ride, it’s worth it!“

My steak tips were good but not the best I've every had. Some were perfect but others were tough. The fries were good and crisp. One of my dining mates had the penne vodka and wasn't thrilled. Maybe, it was an off night for the chefs. We've been here, before, and I expect we'll try it again as it's, usually, very good.“

My favorite is the Filet Mignon while my wife orders the Prime Rib, Queen Cut. The steaks are always cooked perfectly as ordered. The wait staff is always great as well. “We enjoyed our Valentine's Lunch. My salad was excellent, but the salmon was a little overcooked. My husband's Crab Mac & Cheese was great. It was even better the next day! It is nice to have booth seating but since I am only 5'2" I felt like my chin was almost level with my food. I will have to remember to sit in a chair next time. Some sort of divider between the booths would be nice. We had a group of 3 women next to us that were seated after us that were excited to be with each other and were louder than we liked.“
