“We both ordered filets, along with two sides. The filets were delicious! Disappointed in the size of the side dishes for the price. They use to be much larger. The shrimp cocktail was good too. Our sever, Andrew was good, but not very attentive. Our appetizer plates weren't removed from the table when our food was served! That's a big deal for me.“
“The staff at Brassica are so knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. They bump the best playlists, joke with you, discuss taste preferences, honor allergies, and are actually excited to provide a good dining experience. It's truly a neighborhood gem that I want to gatekeep so badly but will not because everyone deserves this level of stellar dining and the team here deserves to succeed! The food is funky with a heavy focus on fermentation along with honing culinary techniques from around the world without trying to put out “Asian food” or “Latin cuisine” or “fusion”, just their own creations. They make spirits in house (turns out I can like vermouth!) and source wines from places most others restaurants don’t dare to cover. It’s where I bring all my visitors if I can snag a table!“
“What an amazing place. In these times when we are still not comfortable dining indoors this place rocks. The chef behind these dishes knows a thing or two about bringing beer garden food to a totally new level. Thank you chef and staff in front of the house.“
“Great place for food and drinks in Boston. The food quality is much better than your average food court and alcohol is available. It's not as large as the one in Lisbon but there's still a decent variety of food choices. We had lunch there prior to a Red Sox game and went there for supper after the game. The place was not overly busy both times so it was easy to find seating.Overall, we prefer the Time Out Market over the High Street Place food hall downtown. At Time Out Market your food is served on real plates with proper cutlery and the beer comes in a glass. At High Street Place, your food is served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery and draft beer in a plastic cup.“
“We enjoyed a beautiful night out in Boston and ended up eating at Vee Vee (luckily) as walk-ins. They gave us a seat by the door, which was appreciated and the service to the food was hitting on all marks. The one thing I hold back from giving a 5 star review on is that we were dying of heat -- it felt like we were eating in a sauna. I'm not sure if it was because they didn't turn on the AC or if we just had an unfortunate seat that wasn't receiving any of that cool air. Either way, I was sweating throughout the entire dinner service and so was my fiancée.“
“Having dined at Basil Restaurant last night, I must say the ambiance was top-notch. The dim lighting and cozy seating made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow, as it took quite some time for our food to arrive. Nonetheless, when the dishes finally made their way to our table, they were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the basil-infused pasta, which was bursting with flavor. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food, but I do wish the portions were a tad larger. Overall, Basil Restaurant offers a decent dining experience with room for improvement in service efficiency.“
“Dinner and drinks with a friend, great service and food. We had a fish sandwich that was plentiful and delicious and the Parmesan fries were outstanding. My friend had the “plain Jane” pizza which was great too! Definitely a “go to” in the neighborhood. Drinks were excellent, a white sangria and a razz lemonade!“
“Super friendly service, inviting atmosphere, and amazing food! The taro latte was a warm, sweet (but not too sweet!) hug in a mug. The pancakes were so fluffy and soft! The towoomba panini, however, was the star of the show! It was so fresh, unusual, and absolutely delicious! All in all, I can't recommend Cafe Weekend highly enough!“
“I have tried their fried chicken side order, fried chicken sandwich, Korean fried chicken sandwich, and mac and cheese. All were delicious. Also recently had the chicken salad sandwich. Overall it was good, but the Dijon mustard flavor was too strong. My parents took a few bites and weren't able to finish it.Eitherway, looking forward to try some of their other dishes.“
“This review is for the Brookline location of The Abbey. The Abbey doesn't do reservations or call ahead. We showed up around 6:00ish on a Saturday night and were told there was a 20 - 30 minute wait. We were welcome to sit at the bar, but there was no place for four people to sit together, so we lurked near the door and chatted, ducked customers walking in and out and staff taking orders, running food and clearing plates. It's a small space when all the tables are full and people are a few deep at the bar, but that just added to the ambiance. I was seated facing the wall so I didn't see quite how busy it got, but the noise was at "lively" level. We could still have a conversation but needed to speak up to be heard across the table. We were able to snag a table after about 30 minutes. The basics first: The drinks, food and service were fantastic! This is our second time here, the first being ages ago when they had the covered tables outside early in the pandemic. I've been wanting to come back forever, but don't usually get to this part of Brookline. I need to change that or head to Cambridge too! I started with a winter sangria (red wine, brandy, spiced rum, apricot and allspice) that was delicious. They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu, which is nice. My friend wanted the GF pasta Bolognese, but she is dairy free to so that was not an option. We ordered two of the slow-braised short rib "French dip" egg rolls with gruyere, horseradish aioli, and red wine demi for the table. Loved this! I never finish apps and I inhaled this. I was fine with that, I could just put my main in a take home container. We also got the black kale & Brussels sprouts salad, avocado, pepitas, Crispy bacon, and a fried duck egg. Even if you think you don't like kale and or Brussels sprouts, get this dish! I got the "Thanksgiving" panini (house roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, cheddar, arugula, cranberry aioli, hand-cut fries). It was delicious and can't wait for the leftovers. The hanger steak frites came topped with watercress and a madeira sauce. It was the most tender steak that I've ever had. For sides my friends also ordered shredded Brussels sprouts and pan roasted cauliflower with capers and pecorino as sides. Not to be missed are the hand cut fries that are the embodiment of French fries perfection. They are a must order, either plain or with truffles and cheese. Fried potato nirvana! As I said, the place was packed, but service was attentive and Ty (sp?), our server made sure allergy info was provided to the kitchen. He made great suggestions for items to try. The Brookline location does not serve dessert (sad panda) but the Cambridge location does. Good to note for next time! Did I mention that the kitchen is open until 1:30 AM every night? Perfect for late night bites.“
“The food is delicious. The service is professional and friendly. Love, love love Deuxave. The atmosphere is great. Very attractive and you can hear the other people at your table but the tables are spaced well enough that you’re not hearing other tables.“
“We had an amazing meal in this cosy, warm and welcoming joint right in the middle of Newton centre. We went without a reservation and sat at the bar. The food was perfect in every way which does not happen frequently and when it does – it is a great experience. The cavatelli was outstanding. Same with the porkchops. The deserts were great too. The staff were attentive , and at the same time knowledgeable about what was on offer. The manager too was extremely nice and offered us some very helpful advice on the venue itself. All said, this is a place that one can keep going back to.Parking: Generally enough spots except during weekends“
“I can't say enough good things about my experience! From my online booking experience (love being able to book a 11 person reservation online no problem!), to the great seating area (private corner so it felt so intimate even though the restaurant was packed), and last but not least, to the service! Mason was incredible! We had a large party with many people coming and going at different times. Somehow he managed to time our cocktails and food perfectly and handle many different tabs with ease. And the food and cocktails were great! Highly recommend for large parties! Well done Seasons! Thank you Mason!“
“Eli's is a cute spot for brunch. We came around 1 and have table right away but it could be pack in the morning. One thing I didn't like is my potato, other than that I really like omelette. The service is really quick as well. I will back and might try other stuffs.“
“This was an amazing dining experience. Beautiful, tho small restaurant. Perfect service at the bar. The most delicious halibut I have ever had in my 43 years of life. I never knew halibut could be cooked that perfectly. SUPER impressed. Thank you to Antonio and Chef Dave!“
“I have never posted a review before. My wife and I are visiting Boston during the winter and we ate dinner at Summer Shack last night. We ate at Atlanta Fish Co a few days ago and that was good too. We went to Pescador tonight and it was so very bad we paid the check, left the food and went back to the Summer Shack because it was so incredibly good. Recommend to all who love great shellfish and lobster. The best.“
“Great addition to the neighborhood. Worth anywait time. The staff was very friendly knowledgeable, gave great recommendations. I started with a vanilla ice coffee. So good. Not to sweet at all. For my meal I got a special which was gouda grits, cant remember the name if the steak tips and a over easy egg. When I tell you this is so mouth watering. All the flavors together was perfect. The owner even came around talking to patrons which I felt gave it an even more home feeling touch.“
“Never disappoints! This place is quaint and hopping! We are from New York visiting our son and his family and have eaten here before. Service was superb. The chicken and broccoli flatbread...definitely tasty. Bolognese and chicken Parmesan were both delicious. Will absolutely come back on our next visit!“
“A very unique place combining the friendly and welcoming down-to-Earth atmosphere of a small town buzzy neighborhood café with the professionalism and the culinary standards of any successful big city contemporary bistro. The food is creative and simply delicious. The staff is excellent. The chef is frequently at the tables checking out how the guests are doing. Just an all-round top experience.“
“First time dining at Buttonwood. Table was ready, server Tara was attentive and friendly and knew the menu well. Food was excellent (arugula salad, chicken, cheeseburger and steak). Very limited wine list but the Pinot from Oregon was quite good. Will definitely return.“
“Had sat. breakfast with my husband here. Pleasant welcoming atmosphere, beautiful fun decore.Food was ok as the variety, quality and inventive component were scarce. No espresso machine. The $$$$ were high we thought for the type of food.We had a nice quite time overall. You order through an app.“
“we had a table of 7 and everyone was happy. we started with the mussels and ceaser salad and both were delicious. I ordered the halibut and the the sauce was so yummy and the halibut cooked perfectly. others got the fish tacos and were happy . there was also a chicken and arugula salad that my husband liked. the service was beyond good. we also loved a house red wine and the desserts omg. the place, ambience is so nice. the only bad thing is I live far away.“
“Food presentation and service was excellent. Our waitress particularly was fantastic. Attentive with a smile. My only complaint was that our Burrata salad was a bland. Just needed a sprinkle of salt and pepper which were not on the table. Main courses were delicious though. The atmosphere was fine but nothing really grabbed me to give that 5 stars.“
“All four plates were delicious, the burgers and the Parm with the garlic sauce. Spicy guava margaritas had a kick and stiff, friendly staff, kid friendly, the owners were very attentive. Plenty of parking and quick service on a busy Saturday night. We recommend and will be “
“We frequent Cook at least once a week. It’s our favorite place in Needham. The staff, the food, the atmosphere never disappoints. Although the entire staff is tremendous, we especially enjoy when Anderson is on the bar. He’s beyond friendly and always attentive. He makes a flawless drink with his rhythmic shaker!! Definitely recommend.“
“I think that this restaurant is phenomenal. I went with a friend who had frequented the restaurant in the past. She raved about the food and how at night it shifts into a great dancing, music, eating venue. I found, the service to be very engaging, warm and friendly. The food was savory and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend Orchid 7 Fusion Bar & Grill.“
“AMAZING! We had the new waitress Ava and she was a pro!!! The food was very tasteful, the restaurant was very busy but we were seated right away and waited 15 mins for our food to come out! It was such a great experience. Ava was polite, speedy and very professional.“
“This restaurant is 30 years old. I love this pub. It is family owned and all I can say is the food is delicious and staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my steak tips with eggplant fries! Who knew eggplant fries could taste so good!? Wings were fresh and good and dessert was Irish soda bread with whiskey sauce! Yum! Love the pub ambiance. I look forward to returning soon!“
“Excellent service. My friend said "the best coffee." She had the Buddha bowl. I had the lollipop chicken wings and garden salad, both excellent. The salad was so fresh. Loved it. Another fave of mine is the tenderloin tips - the best ever.“
“Such phenomenal food and great prices and super friendly staff. We got the surf and turf, shrimp scampi, potato skin appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert. The seafood was incredibly fresh and huge portions. The surf and turf had plenty of lobster meat as well. Highly recommend all dishes.“
“We went for lunch there and ordered poke nachos, ahi tuna stack, sliders , truffle fries , orange chicken and Baja fish tacos. Poke nachos and ahi tuna stack were most delicious out of everything we ordered. if you are a fan of raw tuna and avocado, then this is for you. Truffle fries were great as well. The rest of the food was good too. Service was good considering they were very busy on a Sunday. They got us a table right away. Ambiance is lacking, there isn't much in terms of decor, it's very noisy , but we didn't mind because it is a very casual place and the food was tasty.“
“Very nice server. He was on his own, and made sure to let me know the food would take a while before I placed my order. The sandwiches were great. My six year old is a picky eater, so I expected her to say "It's not like the kind I like" and just pick at it a bit. Nope. She loved it. My wife and I liked ours too. What a nice surprise to find in a rest stop. Will make a point of stopping at this rest stop to go here.“
“My husband and I went for brunch on Sunday morning. It's a little out of the way for us but I wanted to try the poutine as I'm from Quebec. I haven't found a real poutine here in Massachusetts. This was the best I've had in the U.S. The fries were delicious and the cheese curds were perfect. We also tried the short rib hash which was also delicious. I had a bloody Mary and it was awesome. We'll definitely be returning. Brittany, the bartender, was friendly, funny, and provided great service!“
“We booked a rehearsal dinner here. Food and service were great. As a former function manager, the head chef was very unprofessional. He should not be the main point of contact to book a function. My mother in law sent a cc for deposit information months in advance to which she received no response. Since she was in charge of the rehearsal dinner I did not check back in until closer to the date. I emailed John to confirm the menu to which his response was "You never sent a deposit" etc. all using accusatory words. I immediately sent over the email my mother in law forwarded me with the deposit information she sent 5 months prior to which she received no response. Had I known there was no response I would have called sooner. I called after John's email and spoke to Eric who was a great help. All was fixed and went well, but please have another point of contact for functions who is equipped to speak with the general public. There were so many ways to go about speaking with the bride and John's approach was not one of them.“
“Very friendly lovely staff. Great food! The beet poke bowl is fantastic, very tasty tofu. I came here twice during my 3 day stay in Boston. Rice and bean bowl very good too. Super easy to get to from the Sheraton via the mall entrance. Awesome that it’s all vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Good vegan options“
“Excellent food and service! I love the Yard House—they have such a vast menu with plenty of options and I’m never disappointed with the quality of the items. Reasonably priced too. I ordered the seared tuna sandwich which was phenomenal. Very flavorful and would definitely order it again. The spinach dip appetizer was great as well—I just wish they gave more dip.I also loved my drink! I got the Pineapple Express and it was tasty.“
“Hopewell always hits! The food here is incredible, nothing more needs to be said. But honestly, the truffle fries are a must. The pizza was a 10/10. The cocktails our server recommended were perfection. I’m already looking forward to going back. Wish I saved room for dessert because everything sounded good. The vibes are cozy and quaint.“
“I liked the place. The food tasted great. You can choose from salad or a warm grain bowl and add there a shish kebab. They have different options for shish kebabs. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken kebab. It was great. They have a nice drink menu. They even had 3 different options of Spritzes which is nice because I like them. My friends and I had a good time, we ordered desserts. We had Pot de Crème and some kind of donuts. Everything was so tasty. However, our waiter took forever to place our orders each time and to bring our checks. And he was always mumbling something. It was not a great experience. Other than that everything was perfect. There is parking available behind the building. This place is kinda small, I highly recommend making a reservation before you go there.“
“After seeing a post of the pepperoni pizza on facebook... we had to go for ourselves. I got the cheese pizza and the boyfriend got baked stuffed haddock. Everything was delicious and I loved the pizza. Our waitress Linda was so pleasant and so efficient. Great dinner out and definitely will return ?“
“This is a great spot. The food is excellent the neighborhood was missing this for years congratulations to the owners for putting this place together. The food is excellent the service is great and everyone is friendly. I highly recommend this place.“
“First time eating here and the food and presentation was perfect! Veggie burger with the seasoned fries was delicious! Flatbread pizza with figs was also enjoyed. Great live entertainment tonight, Nephrok. Great crowd of people. Service was busy but attentive as needed. Ambiance is perfect. So great to have this venue close to home!“
“A solid 4 stars! Came here with a big group celebration and split a bunch of apps, including their pretzel, nachos, and hash browns. Everything was great except I thought the guac in the nachos could have been more fresh. For an entree, I got their salmon, which was the highlight of the meal for me. The flavors were perfect - lemony and fresh, over a bed of rice and spinach. Felt both healthy and delicious. Some of my friends got drinks and seemed to enjoy them. The interior of the restaurant gives off old English pub vibes - dark and broody, while at the same time relaxed and neighborhood friendly. It's a nice casual spot to relax and grab some food and drink with friends.“
“My husband and I came on an awfully rainy day/night and the restaurant was still busy - a good testament to them! We ordered the calamari, statler chicken and steak frites - all were delicious and well portioned! For dessert we got both the chocolate bread pudding and crème brûlée - also delicious and not a bite left on the plate! Our server was wonderful (Sergio) and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation, nor too quiet to worry people could eavesdrop! The customers were of all ages too - I saw a grandma with her young adult graunddaughter, young couples, older couples, and even a little 5-6 year old having dinner with her family!“
“New to the neighborhood and found this place while walking around. Very nice spot and very good food and drinks. The only issue we had was we were forgot about a few times for long periods of time waiting to order and pay. Maybe it was where we had been seated, but overall the staff was super friendly and helpful when they were around. Finding this place was certainly a nice surprise and I will be back.“
“we did a few rounds of apps and entrees to split between four of us and these were great! meat in the bao was tender and my friends were so obsessed w the deep fried ball things that they ordered another round (a lil too rich for me but no hate). chips got soggy too fast and flavors kinda clashed if it sat for too long“
“There are a lot of places to go in Dedham.. however.. knowing.. Christine .. is absolutely amazing as a server .. waitress ..Bartender.. always showing the specials ..caring .. specialized drinks and appetizers.. truly catered.. to myself and friends individual needs… absolutely lovely!! She truly makes me choose this place amongst all!! Great family .. great staff ., comfortable and low key.. relaxing and super great energy!!!Parking: Easy accessible to Dedham or route one.“
“Came here for a work lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Stay was very kind and courteous. We had a party of 5, the food arrived quickly. I can say the quiche was delicious. The menu isn't large but all of the options sounded wonderful it was hard to decide. All of my coworkers got something different and were all very pleased with their choices. I will definitely be coming back here!“
“110 Grill features friendly staff and excellent food and drinks, creating a memorable dining experience. With its popularity, reservations are recommended for weekends and larger parties. This ensures a seamless visit, highlighting the restaurant’s commitment to quality and service.“
“Service is both friendly and efficient, but what I'm really here to say is that this is the best lunch value in the entire Longwood/Fenway area, and a fantastic vegan option. Built my own small bowl today: brown rice, fajita veggies, roasted broccoli, corn salsa, tofu, black beans, jalapeno salsa--10 bucks. This is an extraordinary value, and I feel well fed but not grossly full after.“
“Both meals were well presented, had the seasonal house salad, my new favorite, the champagne vinaigrette dressing just made it more delicious My husband had the corn beef dinner and totally enjoyed it . Waitress was friendly and efficient, will definitely be return.“
