“First ever visit to any Checkers. We considered it a success and will be back We visited before noon on a weekend. So, we may have been the first customers of the day. With two separate lanes, the drive-in was confusing for a first-timer (and the intercom didn't work on the side I picked). The window/cashier area of the side I chose looked to be full of construction equipment & supplies. So, the worker didn't have an easy time getting to the window. We ordered ahead using the app. I felt the app was difficult to get through and I felt it was too intrusive. We struggled to get through the menu because we didn't know what everything was.The one worker we spoke to was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He went over our order to make sure we would get what we thought/wanted, adjusting where needed. The food was prepared quickly and properly. Both cold and hot things were at expected temperature levels and tasted as expected. The funnel cake fries were wonderful but needed more powdered sugar.“

“Ordered an impossible burger and veggie chili. The impossible burger was a expected... good. The chili was really good though. It was sweet and slightly spicy. Also had some veggie meat on it as well.Service was meh and the vibe was old school diner.“

“Had the opportunity to experience this dining venue for a Sunday brunch, recommended by family member. The brunch menu at first was a little confusing as to what our quantity of options we were entitled to, once that was clarified enjoyed a delightful meal of fried chicken & waffles -brussel sprouts-deviled eggs -berry mixed topping pancakes -crab cakes and a mimosa. The only thing that wasn’t too pleasant was the waiter assigned to us -he didn’t seem very customer friendly-I don’t even think he introduced himself. However his slack was taken up by a wonderful young lady by the name of Allie -very friendly -took the time to explain the menu -when an ordering mistake had been made -corrected it and provided a alternative, she made the experience so much better -excellent customer service“

“Family time, good service didn’t wait long for food and it was great! I’ll admit it’s a little on the pricy side but it’s definitely worth it!Kid-friendliness: My kids had fun eating and watching games, also had nice decorations around the restaurant“

“Food was amazing! Came to visit from Chicago. Had the bacon and cheddar burger. Hubby had the afterburner burger, spicy but delish! Appetizers (Korean wings and onion rings) on point! Did not disappoint at all. Highly recommend. Similar to a pub so not kid friendly (when we went 11pm).“

“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“

“Wow is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this place. If you’re looking for hearty food with some very delicious coffee this is your place. Think of this place as your favorite breakfast fast breakfast place on steroids. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are more than enough and the food is unique. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.“

“The food is always good. I’ve been on a lamb burger kick lately. There are good options for brunch or dinner. There’s also events some evenings. I attended an open mic night for poetry a while back and it was great! So much talent in the space and encouraging of emerging and established artist alikeWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is fairly accessible. There are double front doors and no button to open them so it may be difficult for electric chairs and larger chairs. The back event space can be cramped but I was able to be seated comfortably. Though I could see if being tricky trying to leave for a bathroom break once folks pack in. There are stairs to access the stage so that would be a big barrier for open mic nights“

“I got their exactly 950pm and the bartender and waitress were very friendly and nice , the kitchen was just about or closing but rather than say sorry it’s too late they checked with the kitchen and they made us the 3 best burgers and fries , it was all delicious . We got double burgers and fries and honestly the price to me like any other good burgers but these were better was reasonable, the quality was good . We’ll be back for sure , compliments to the chef .“

“Been to bubbies many times and it’s always so worth the trip! Really appreciate how often they send coupons, gives us the push to order and enjoy their food. We’ve also ordered it for delivery and never had any issues, it’s obviously no longer hot because of the distance but our order has always been correct! Highly recommend.“

“Since 2021, I've been a devoted patron of Swizzlers. I've introduced friends visiting from South Florida to this gem, and they were enamored with the food. During their stay, we frequented Swizzlers numerous times. Fast forward to today, and I still find myself drawn here daily, sometimes accompanied by my mom and other friends. The ambiance is electric, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the food downright delicious, especially when paired with a refreshing sweet tea. My frequent visits undoubtedly classify me as a regular; you'll likely spot me cruising around on my scooter. ?“

“I’m vegetarian, my partner is not. He loved everything we tried here, and even said the ‘chicken’ nuggets were some of the best nuggets he’s had anywhere- their taste and texture were incredible both in flavor and texture.Vegetarian options: So so good for any vegetarian who misses delicious chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, burgers, or wraps. Also amazing for any meat-eater who wants to enjoy a different kind of protein!!“

“Ok this place has amazing chicken sandwiches. In DC it’s this place and Roaming Rooster as my go to spots for chicken sandwiches. Every place else just doesn’t matter. I’ve been eating their sandwiches since their inception from the chef school kitchen on Columbia Pike. You can taste the love in their food.“

“I went there for taco's and I was not disappointed. ? well the portions were a bit snacky ??♂️ I'd have to buy 2 orders to make one meal. AT THE TACO PLACE idk about the other spots. that being said I will be going back. I'll just be making 3 orders instead of 1 I guess. ??♂️??“

“We stumbled into this place after some other burger places were closed, and I'm glad we did! This was one of the best smash burgers i've had in a long time. I understand people saying the burgers are a bit pricey for the size, but to me the delicate nature of the sandwich combined with bold flavors really sealed the deal. I can't remember which one my wife got but we were both in heaven, and even after sharing the shockingly good garden salad, we didn't feel stuffed like we usually do when leaving burger places. Oh, and the Ghost Claw cocktail was delicious and refreshing. We'll absolutely swing back around to Ghostburger the next time we're in DC.“

“We just had the best pizza and experience. We were a large party and the service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious. We had a Detroit native in our group and it was approved! Debbie was a wonderful manager and so personable - she entertained our kids and was so sweet! We had the classic, big Ang and MVP and a yummy burger. We’ll definitely be back! Exceeded expectations!“

“My favorite place in the broader neighborhood! The staff are friendly and attentive! The food is consistently good - everything on the menu is good, my favorites are the ribs platter, Gouda burger, steak and cheese, wings, blackened seared tuna app, and great fries too. I, and other friends, go out of our way for the hand-dipped chicken fingers (a staple pickup for take out since I live nearby). In addition to great selection of beers, they always have NA beer selections too, which I get when coming with the kids. They love the nachos, wings and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Seating indoors is all high-tops, so low-tops are on covered patio. Good kids menu w/crayons. Never a problem with tables during non-peak hours, but if a big game or something, do the best you can.“

“I have visited Duke's a handful of times and have really enjoyed it every time. The food is always delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice is perfection. You really can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu but I do highly recommend the Proper Breakfast Sarnie or the Proper Burger. Chef's kiss is what those two things are.Side note, I often like to point out restaurants I think are great for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd dates. In my personal opinion, breakfast is the best time for a date because you are at your most energized, breakfast is super casual so less stress, and a post-breakfast stroll around the park getting to know each other is perfect. I would highly recommend Duke's for a 3rd date.“

“Killer veggie based food! We had the burger with cheez and mushroom bacon. Ready to go back and try them all! Also, probably the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had! Great texture and flavor. Totally recommended, but get extra sauce if you like condiments. We got two in pretty small containers. We should have asked.“
“Great place to hang out with friends, play games, and snack over drinks. I’m not a beer person but I quite like the beers here. Good vibes in here - good music but not so loud you can’t hear people. I’ll be coming back for future game nights!“

“We went to the Mono (Georgetown) location and our burgers were excellent. The staff was friendly and the space was clean. There was outdoor seating enjoyed by many, but we chose to sit indoors and people-watch in the charming, bustling area on a Sunday afternoon. Great experience as out-of-towners!“

“Food was amazing I order the Hot tiger bun (per the menu description: HOT AF fried chicken sandwich); for me it wasn’t very spicy (but I have a high tolerance), so I order hot sauce on the side.It was delicious, also ordered the curry fries. The service was a bit slow and our server didn’t come to check on us much. But good, drinks, and view were amazing.“

“Friendly service in the neighborhood favorite. Huge portions of delicious food, I have lamb skewers and my husband had the gyro platter, we both had leftovers for lunch the next day. Full bar, delicious margarita, southwest egg rolls, stuffed grape leaves and spiced olives were great apps. The home made baklava was a sweet end to a fabulous meal.“

“The much-anticipated sister restaurant of Purple Patch opened just a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked! It's a lovely addition to the neighborhood, offering a simple menu with a lot of flavor. The wagyu burger is nicely balanced, and depending on your appetite you can get a single to a triple patty. The ube soft serve with coconut is such a hit and the flavors are perfect. It's been really busy for good reason, so you might have to wait in line especially on really nice days, but service is pretty fast and they also have an order online link. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day! Indoor area is small but very pretty, and stools with counter-style tables lining the interior. Very kid friendly as well as they have a kids' menu,' tables, and neighborhood kids' art on the walls. You can also purchase a few Filipino snacks like v-cut chips and boy bawang (garlic corn nuts), and they also have some canned non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. With the addition of Joia Burger, the owner Patrice really shows how much she cares about the Mount Pleasant community and is invested in it. It's a great spot to swing by for a quick meal and friendly faces!“

“We went on a Saturday evening, so it was packed. Glad we made a reservation, since someone at the bar said good luck getting service. We were starving, so anything would have been good. However, the nachos w/steak were good, as were the ribs. The folks who brought us our food were funny & nice (they were working their butts off). The main reason for my 4-stars is DEVIN, our server, who was also the bartender. Double duty?! He was very apologetic about the wait. He was attentive and very kind & friendly, despite the number of tables he had and folks at the bar. He could have been short, frazzled and rushed, but he cool as a cucumber! Kudos to Devin!!!“

“Really wish I could give this place a better rating! The people running the place were so nice and friendly — and it’s a great local establishment. Our rockfish sandwich was fine — but we had two catfish sandwiches, and the breading on both was just too salty. Maybe we got a bad batch, so I’m willing to give the place a second try!“

“I love this restaurant! Not a chain. Great atmosphere. friendly and efficient staff and delicious food. I particularly like the farmers omelet for breakfast and the MoCo salad for dinner. “Been here twice now and I'm obsessed! I tried the animal the first time and honey butter tots. Both are a 10/10! However the animal is HUGE and to be honest all the sandwiches are pretty big so definitely worth your penny. 2nd time I came, I got the Abe foreman (sausage) and the cinnamon sugar tots. My boyfriend loved them so much he had me go back up to get more! Cashiers are always nice, even when it's busy. The National Landing is such a cute concept with easy access to great food and drink options!“

“With the Navy Yard HipCityVeg location closing, I was eager to find a replacement, which I (mostly) found with PLNT Burger.Located inside the Navy Yard Whole Foods, this little vegan burger/chicken shop is a must-try for vegan sandwich enthusiasts. The food tastes much better than it looks, I assure you.The vegan BBQ mushroom burger was delicious and was well-balanced between the sweet and savory BBQ sauce, umami grilled mushroom, faux meat layer and vegan cheese. The housemade strawberry lemonade was crisp and refreshing, and the home style fries were crunchy and well-seasoned.My only COMPLAINT was the utter lack of customer service. With no one else in line, the workers ignored my initial attempts to approach and order food. When someone finally decided to take my order, the woman behind the counter made no attempts to hide her annoyance, rushed my order, and had an attitude. Implementing friendlier customer service policies is the key to any future 5-star reviews.“

“We always choose Johnny's All American to showcase a lively neighborhood bar to our clients. The decor, paying homage to the owner's grandfather's army service and community involvement, is truly impressive. Witnessing a person's legacy reflected in the intricate details on the walls and artwork adds a special touch to the overall experience. It's a unique and meaningful atmosphere that resonates with both history and community spirit.“

“We've been here quite a few times! It's definitely a great spot. Love the vibe, drinks and food. And kid-friendly which is always a plus. Good food menu with many options. My husband leans towards the IPAs and I always go their seltzers! In-laws were visiting so we wanted to take them to one of our favorite spots! The pretzel is by far my favorite pretzel and THE best I've had so far! And the we also love the fried chicken thighs! Pair it up with one of their small salads (still a HUGE portion!) and you have a great meal!“

“Amazing food. Every thing I tried was delicious. I would especially recommend trying the hot dogs plain. They were definitely the highlight. Extremely good and filling. Great service too. Jaime was so helpful and on target with his beer recommendation! One opportunity for improvement is the beer menu needs some Belgians. It’s a bit IPA heavy. Over all a great experience. The atmosphere was calm and they always had sports on the T.Vs. We were able to pop, in get dinner, and get out. A great restaurant for sure.“

“I live close by and was craving for a good burger for dinner. I decided to try out ted’s because I never tried bison meat before. It was spectacular especially the service because I was not wearing the best clothes since it was a last minute decision and the restaurant was about to close. “The steak and cheese egg rolls are 10,000 stars!!! They were the best part of my lunch, and so was the warm, soft bread. I ate outside on the patio and the restaurant is at 16th and K, and it was pretty loud outside. I highly suggest eating inside if you want a more quiet, peaceful meal, because that's a very busy intersection. Other than that, the service was superb!“

“The food is always superb. Turkey burgers and chicken for those not in love with the classics. Even better than the food is the service. We have had a few hiccups with deliveries and each time the good stuff eatery on capital hill has done everything to make it right. “Had high expectations for the chili dog but was disappointed by the bun as it is the kind you can easily get from grocery store. The hotdog tasted great while the chili was pretty spicy! Overall i felt that this didnt live up to the hype. I prefer Dirt Dog for the roll and the softness of the whole item. The winner was the banana pudding which was so creamy and yummy! It costs more than a hotdog bun though. The pricing is steep! A pity that the restroom doesn't seem to have a lock.“

“I always order through the mobile app occasionally through drive thru. Food os always hot and fresh no complaints never had a hard Nugget! I love soggy fries unlike most people but they majority come out crispy. They never forget my sauce either which is pleasant considering the traffic that comes through here. This place gets extremely packed during breakfast and lunch but if you order ahead what I suggest they get the job done is better than waiting longer in line.Parking: Tight spaces very trafficked becarful when front parking! Backing up into traffic is worry some“
