“Great place for a quick bite to eat. The employees are fast to remake any mistakes through miscommunications. This one manager named Nate is incredible. Everytime I order during a rush he is quick to make my sandwich to PERFECTION. He seems super reserved yet takes everything very seriously. One time I forgot to add a some bacon to my sandwich and before the employees at the next station could tell Nate to send down some bacon he already sent it through the oven. Now mind you this is in a large rush of people the line was nearly to the door and he not only was able to keep the line going but fix my own mistake in record time so I didn't have to wait. I was very impressed I wanted to talk with him to give him a tip but he refused it. Actually INSANITY. His attitude compared to everyone else is so drastically different. I recommend anyone who wants to eat here to have Nate make your food he is the best!“

“Ambar's newest location does not disappoint. If you know Ambar, it goes without saying the food is amazing. new offerings on the menu gave me some new favorites to add to my already long list. New cocktails for a new address, yes and thank you! The design esthetic is light and refreshing...And the 2nd floor ceiling is an instagram dream. Easily 5 stars.“

“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“

“The food was really good. They provide big portions. I ate half of the Apollo grain bowl and saved the rest. The amount of food you receive and the quality of the food is worth the price. Each dish seems pretty customizable. I will definitely stop by again to try other items. The parking situation isn't great.“

“Well simmered broth. Large portion. It's part of JINYA Holdings so you know the quality is consistent. The setup at location has the feel of a sport bar on the bar side adjacent to the food court. Though dimly lit, it had a nice ambiance and not too loud.“

“Omg, District Falafel - what a real treat! As a Palestinian, I rarely eat at ME restaurants cause it's easier, less disappointing and always better to just go to mom's! My sister/friend introduced me to this place and I enjoyed it so much that I will even tackle the beltway to go into Bethesda from VA! The manager (M'hammad)/counter/table (Edwin?) staff were extremely nice, friendly, patient and just really kind! Pricing was quite reasonable & the same regardless of lunch/dinner - a real bonus. Easy parking, casual and just the right size inside. We had an amazing set of beautifully presented dishes before us incl: Adas soup (thinner than I'm used to, but SUPER delicious!), the falafel was so fantastic that I took a few dozen home to share w/family (will definitely try the spicier ones on next visit!), chicken shawarma & kifteh were nicely flavored & tender, and all the side dishes, hummus, baba ghannouj, salads, pickled items, pita bread hit the mark. Thank you for everything - Can't wait to come back!“

“My hubby and I have been to Carlyle twice. Both times we shared the Judith Point calamari with the corn salsa. Calamari preparation can range from horribly rubbery and tasteless, to just “meh,” or to what Carlyle has done with it - fried to perfection, with complementary flavors in the sauces and corn salsa- for the win!I ordered the smoked salmon on my first visit two years ago, and because it was so tastefully prepared, I couldn’t bring myself to try another dish. It is just delicious.Hubby ordered crab cakes, along with coleslaw and shoestring fries. Crab cakes were meaty and flavorful. Sides were good.Atmosphere and service are good. I love that it’s in a walkable area, just a few blocks from the Shirlington Hilton. Give Carlyle a try!“

“Mike provided incredible service. His dedication to providing excellence was clear from the moment we entered the door through to leaving. He managed to anticipate the needs of everyone who walked in and proactively addressed them. He made each customer feel like there was a personal connection. This was more than just a great customized salad but an incredibly enjoyable experience thanks to his engaging personality.“

“The food here is AMAZING. I'm actually glad this place is far from me and on the expensive side because if it was closer and cheaper I'd be eating here constantly. My table got the waygu egg rolls, Mac and cheese, broccolini, Hawaiian steak, jerk crab cakes, and the jerk lollipop chicken. All of it was on point. Drinks are pretty expensive for what you get. That was probably the only disappointment. Music is a little loud for my liking but it is a minor nit in an absolutely amazing experience.“

“Been wanting to get in to Ruta and finally made it this week. Absolutely a fantastic experience. If you are unfamiliar with Ukrainian food, don’t be afraid to let your server guide you. They will steer you right. If you do know Ukrainian food, you will feel right at home. Delicious food in a fun space—and don’t sleep on the cocktails.“

“Thrilled to have found this place while attending a training conference nearby. I am not ashamed to say I came here for lunch every day of the week The good: the atmosphere is as good as it gets for a pub. Quiet lunch stop, Friendly staff a traditional pub menu great whiskey selection and a gorgeous mirror backed ornate wood bar display. I swapped between both the Reuben and fish sandwich all week and highly recommend either. The bad: My major complaint is that this place is too far from my house but it may be good enough that I start looking for new apartments in the area. This is what it is to the maximum degree if you are in the mood for an Irish pub I don't think you can do better.“

“The service has declined a little over the years, a trend which began even before COVID. But maybe we got spoiled. All GAR locations are still usually better than those in this price point and we go to this restaurant once or twice a month, so that ought to tell you something!“

“This hidden gem offers a delightful fusion of flavors that's as vibrant and colorful as a Mexican mural. This family-owned operation not only wins your heart with its super friendly staff but also caters to a symphony of dietary preferences, making it a haven for vegetarians, vegans, and those seeking halal options. The casual atmosphere, a playful blend of Mexican zest and Greek finesse, sets the stage for a dining experience that's both laid-back and lip-smackingly good.Diving into the menu is like embarking on a culinary world tour, starting in Mexico with the Vegan taco, a masterclass in flavor that proves you don't need meat to create a masterpiece. It's a plant-based delight that showcases the kitchen's knack for transforming simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The Mexican Pizza, a Wild Tacoz signature, is a flavor bomb. Imagine a 12" pizza that shuns the traditional crust for a double cheese-filled tortilla, creating a base that's as innovative as it is delicious. Topped with a protein of your choice and adorned with a medley of toppings including mild or spicy salsa, a three-cheese mix, tomatoes, onions, black beans, romaine, cilantro, and corn crumbs, it's a dish that dances on the line between genius and madness, landing squarely on the side of genius. Then, we set sail for Greece with the Gyro Burrito, a culinary hybrid that's as bold as it is delicious. Packed with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta, and tzatziki, it's a wrap that wraps you in warmth and comfort, proving that when Mexico meets Greece, the result is nothing short of spectacular.Wild Tacoz is not just a restaurant; it's a testament to the power of family, fusion, and the universal language of delicious food. With every dish made to order, freshness is the name of the game, ensuring that each visit is as delightful as the last. In a world where fusion can sometimes mean confusion, Wild Tacoz stands out as a beacon of culinary creativity, blending Mexican flair and Greek elegance into a dining experience that's sure to leave you wild with joy.“

“For appetizers- we ordered the burratta e funghi and also the foccaccia bread. Both were delicious. The highlight was the pizza! We were a party of 6 and tried three different pizzas, and all were delicious! We also tried both the gnocchi dishes (formaggi and sorrentina), they were ok. The best dish of all was the tiramisu! We liked it so much we had to order multiples. Friendly staff, good amount of parking..“

“This place is a definite vibe. From the books to the welcoming smile you get from the host when we walked in, the waiter was super chill. The very handsome gentleman with locs who brought out our food to the table....The food was excellent by the way lol, and I love the fact that they had plenty of true vegan options. And not just the vegan label but with animal by products in them. I wish I was here longer. I would have definitely attended the poetry to GoGo competition. But I will be back!Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of true vegan options.“

“The staff were all welcoming from the start. The food was AMAZING! The owner came to our table to check on our evening. We were very happy and I must say the Filet Mignon with balsamic glaze was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants . The evening was important to us as we got engaged that day. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel of a restaurant !!“

“My wife and I were stuck in Washington, DC because of a weather related airplane cancellation. Since it was Christmas Day, our options for dinner were limited. We were very pleased to have chosen the Ottoman taverna. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dining experience in Washington, DC. While it is certainly not cheap, it is not terribly expensive either. The food was unbelievably delicious. Oddly, our Lyft driver who delivered us to the door happened to be Turkish and was telling us how great the place was as we arrived.“

“This was my first time visiting Kenny’s Kale and it was just okay to me. I had the UnCraba Kale with the Thee VanKale flavor. The crab meat was backfin meat not lump. It was too much kale in comparison to the amount of crab meat that was on the salad. For the cost it should have definitely been more. I was able to take a third of the kale and place it in the oven to make kale chips which came out great! As I reached near the bottom of the bowl it was a lot of oil and seasoning. Now the crab meat was full of flavor! The service was on point as soon as the young lady finished up the order on the phone, she greeted me, asked if this was my first visit and explained the menu. The space is cozy and inviting, but small. They do have a bar for you to grab a spirit while you wait for your order.I probably would not return on my own, but would definitely take the offer should someone be ordering from here and ask if I would like anything.“

“Very good bar/vegan food. Prices seem all over with place, with some items overpriced and some quite cheap. Example: burger for $16, but a generous plate of eggplant fries + dipping sauces for $3. In total, it was about $30 for a burger, fries and a beer for one person. Maybe I’m just not used to DC prices, but it felt expensive. Good vegan food, though, and fast, friendly service.Vegetarian options: Full menu is vegan“

“Went here with a friend on a Thursday. We made reservations online which I recommend because it can get crowded around dinner time. Then started bread was good. I got this gnocchi truffle pasta and my friend got bolognese. She really liked hers! I did enjoy mine but it felt like it was missing just a little extra flavor. It was still a good experienc. Sat the patio which was heated and very nicely decorated. I’d love to come back and try other pastas!“

“Food is fairly fresh. They get your food out quick. I think their prices are not too unreasonable either for the area.My only complaint was I saw one piece of hair in my food. It wasn't my hair (different color) but that sort of thing happens when you order from a restaurant.“

We knew we were going to eat well. Food/Drinks - Hubby and I really enjoyed our drinks. I got La dama. He got the mango mojito. And my daughter also liked her strawberry lemonade. My favorite thing was the corn salad, but it was hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good! Service - 10/10. Everyone was so attentive and they made sure I got good footage for my blog. “Idk how I went so long having never tried Jets! I attended a football watch party at a friends house (they are from Detroit) and they ordered jets. One slice in and I knew I'd be a forever customer! Sure enough 2 weeks later I found myself in Jets picking up an order placed online. This is the BEST pizza in the area! It's thick and made with high quality ingredients! I will say the night I stopped in the physical shop it was packed! It was a Friday night, and the line extended down the entire shop and out into the parking lot. Even for those of us who had placed an order ahead of time they were running slightly behind getting those orders out so there was a lot of standing around. However, upon arrival, I simply told them I was there to pick up my order and they started working on it right away so that I could grab it quick-ish and head out. I was there for about 10 minutes? Note if you are placing an order online, be advised that the wait will be probably closer to 45 minutes and there's no need to come early because the pizza is not ready LOL. But trust me it's worth the wait and by the amount of customers there I can say that others agree.“

“Yum!! Stopped in Friday afternoon and got the Korean Fried Chicken bowl with the garlic sauce and rice and it was delicious! Even the coleslaw it came with was good (and I'm not someone who usually likes coleslaw). Chicken was tender and flavorful while the rice was decent, really enjoyed the sauce that seeped into the rice from the chicken. The coleslaw is a mayo base and almost had a sweetness to it too. Service was good and speedy. You order at the counter and you have to watch the number ticker at the front for your number as they don't really call out your number. There are tables inside as well as outside and the overall establishment was clean.“

“Finally visited this sub shop. Had read about it on Eatery. Glad I went. I got the Teamster Italian Cold Cuts) and the Never Been Cheddar (Roast Beef). I also ordered 2 whole deli pickles. The Teamster reminded me of the subs I used to get at the Italian Store in Arlington. Wonderful. Eat it for lunch. The Roast Beef I will save for dinner. The large pickle was perfect. I will return. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. The only thing missing were napkins.“

“$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. “Been here multiple times and happy to say that the food is still just as delicious as when we first came here over a year ago! I often avoid ordering spaghetti when I go to restaurants but this is the only place that my husband and I will race to see who gets to order the spaghetti (and not share). Last night we had the rigatoni as well and needless to say, no plate was left empty. The portions are perfect and service was equally as wonderful.“

“Love the Asian Fusion Bowls with the tasty big flavors Salads with Asia flavor, they have kimchi, purple rice, Asian spiced meats and dressings. It's one of my favorite places in the Rockville/Bethesda Area. When I'm in the mood for a salad with pizazz, this is the place I go. I get the child-size for lunch and the full size salad for dinner. The service is good, the last time I stopped by, I received a free miso soup. Thank you, for the generosity.I love their variety of teas and juices. They have table downstairs, tables upstairs and some outside. One of my favorite dessert that they offer, is the coconut milk pudding, it's so creamy and delicious. I hope they bring this back soon. Located on the outer edge of the Pike and Rose neighborhood, and close by to the garage this is a lunch favorite pick up spot for me. I can't wait until Spring when they have table outside and I'll be able to enjoy my lunch and watch the crowd go by.“

“Outstanding Thai, especially if you need spicy. We were celebrating multiple life events. The staff was welcoming and anticipated our needs. My only concern was the condition of the restaurant, the ceiling tiles were stained and sagging. Mom reported a sanitary & spotless ladies room.We ordered appetizers. The curry chicken appetizers were wrapped in a delightful flaky crust that melts in your mouth. My son ordered medium heat drunken noodles. The dish was hot, even for chili-phile and spice-iphile in our party! The seafood dish -found on the Pad Thai page -was loaded with shrimp, mussels, squid and scallops for $20! The courses arrived hot, together and quickly. The coconut chocolate chip ice cream was divine. Topped off the meal with Thai coffee and tea. All of this fairly price. “I LOVE Falafel Inc. foods -- especially their chicken shawarma wrap and seasoned French fries paired with any of the sauces available for dispensing -- but word is getting out about this place, their delicious foods, and bargain prices, which is great for them! A consequence of this is longer lines sometimes and less-than-organized ticketing system. On a recent visit, I waited about 30 minutes after ordering my food and never had my number called but saw those who ordered after me get their food orders for the same items I ordered. When I brought this up with an employee, their coworker produced my receipt/ticket from their back pocket o.O. Once they found my ticket, they promptly started making my order. So, if I never said anything, how much longer would I have had to wait for this employee to check their back pockets for my number?? So strange!“
