“We ate lunch, neat and clean place. I just didn't understand why inside the establishment there is a woman asking for free food, I think it was a person from the street. That was strange, otherwise the place is richParking: Enough space availableKid-friendliness: If they accept children“
“food was very inventive and good, but it was lacking on actual depth of any type of flavor. The service was quite good though we had to wait five minutes to actually be seated because the there was only one person seating people. The interior is very confusing and crowded and the restaurant decor doesn’t really make sense, the fried chicken was very good and unique so was the scallion pancake however, the pho really didn’t have any flavor and they were using chicken stock for some reason so it didn’t really have much flavor.“
“OMG, where do I start? This place is an absolute GEM. Service is incredible and the space/ambiance is top notch. Loved the music and vibe they created. Literally everything we ordered was incredible: - Goat/cheese/herb biscuit sammie: this was one of the best egg biscuit sandwiches I've ever had in my life, no joke - Turmeric labneh toast: delicious, light and unique flavors - the juice + lattes were amazing - Baked cookies: we got 3-4 varieties and they were so so so good. my favorite was the espresso chocolate cookie I can't wait to come back to DC and eat at this place again!“
“This place defines the word community. I don’t come to places twice when in DC. This has become an exception to the rule now. The owners made me feel like old friends. The staff are courtesy and professional. I had an amazing coffee. Great beer the night before and watched the WNBA playoffs. I also watched the owner serve her community when someone most bars would throw out came in then one of the owners got up and got this lady some soda. Little things like this are impressive - yes this is a bar, but it is true community demonstrated live and In person.“
“So this is about my 3rd time visiting this location and this one was the best my Server Jayda was speedy bringing out our order she was very helpful with any questions we had about the new menuand made us feel comfortable and welcomed and she is silly like me we will definitely be back ❤️“
“10/10.Very cozy place. You have to queue because it is always full. But I'm not surprised, since the food they make is incredible. The sandwiches left me speechless, to say they were good is a huge understatement. The hot chocolate they serve was also delicious. Ideal to warm up on cold days.I would definitely return to Washington just to have breakfast here.Great!!“
“We stopped here to get coffee and a sweet treat and ending up getting the orange blossom croissant and morning bun, which was so good! We also got some baklava for some friends and family, which came in these really cute yellow tin box- a perfect gift!“
“It’s been 5 years since I last ate here, and it feels like old times today. The breakfast platter taste just like I remembered, the staff is very he beat as always. And they remember me and the melts my heart. #bestbreakfastDC #toptenstaff #“
“I brought my parents here to celebrate my dads 68th birthday and everything was spectacular! Our server Angel lived up to his namesake- he was an absolute angel! He provided stellar service-personable, friendly, intelligent and made great recommendations! The space itself is laid out well, we had a center table which I normally don’t like, but here it was a peaceful as a booth! Will definitely come back! Thanks Angel!“
“I love this place is very friendly and. Clean the customers service is amazing the dessert is the best test and the flavor I lover everything this place I recommend everyone can came trying the delicious Sweet Lemon Cafe ❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Pretty crowded on Saturday afternoons, but that's to be expected. There were several tables to sit at and fortunately, it didn't take me too long to find something. They get their beans from Small Planes (one of my favorite DC coffee roasters) and their Honduras pour over (for 5.00) was smooth and enjoyable. I also got a chocolate croissant (for 6.00) to pair with it which was quite tasty. Overall, solid coffee and pastries here and the atmosphere was lively. Also, Capitol Hill is a great neighborhood to visit and enjoy a snack/coffee break!“
“(Review for takeout) WOW! I don't expect much from takeout but the food was so good! I got Cambodian style pho with pork shoulder and it was delicious. The meat wasn't over cooked, the broth was warm and cozy, and all the other accompaniments paired with it so well! I can't wait to actually dine in and order other dishes! I didn't know Somebody Feed Phil was here and now I'm not surprised. Thank you for the food! I felt like I was at someone's house visiting for lunch!“
“I look this place and wish the chain opened in NYC. They've got good coffee, good baled goods, a bright energetic interior, and a wonderful lunch menu. Fast casual so no table service you order up front and they give you a number. Someone brings the food to you when its ready. Its never a bad idea to stop here.“
“Such a great visit and such a great decision to come and check out this museum. I do warn you, it is an emotional experience that will transport you to a difficult time in our world's history. We were in town to sight see and were museum hopping. It wasn't hard to make a reservation. We only booked a few days prior and it was simple. Admission is free which is a plus. Location is near the National Mall, just a few blocks down so make sure you have your walking shoes ready. I would give yourself a full day if you want to digest everything that is available to you in the space. There is so much to see. Exhibits, videos, and audio guides that are well put together. You can easily be there at least 2-3 hours, maybe longer if you want to read about everything. It is a really popular spot, so I would suggest getting there early and on peak days, maybe even trying to book in advance to ensure your visit.“
“Coffee was excellent but what sold it for me was the service. They made sure my coffee was exactly what wanted: sweetness, enough milk, etc. I was a to go order and the gentleman working the front was still very attentive. I will be returning :)“
“Expensive Pastrys and expensive Coffee great Place to hang out if your going to Law School... Managers and Staff are polite.. Service is Good they Have Breakfast there the place is Busy and it's of a Major intersection in Washington D.C 4 Blocks Over near the Capital.... Everything Taste Good... And the Bathrooms are very Clean... Place is Run correctly with Nice and Attractive People..“
“My girls and I had brunch there. We all enjoyed the food. The kimchi rice was absolutely delicious! The space is small but clean and comfortable. It is helpful to ask directions at the front desk since you take an elevator to get there. Totally worth your time.“
“Such a fun eatery and venue! Found out about this place while researching local concerts/shows. Pies were great, I wish I had the chance to try more pies on their menu.Headed upstairs for a punk show after eating the slice of pie. For me, this was a new experience and a really good one! I will definitely visit again.“
“I know what you're thinking: this is a a coffee bar located in the lobby of an apartment building. It can't be that great, can it? Well, you would be wrong. This is my neighborhood coffee spot and I have been here so many times I've lost count. The coffee you get here is consistently well made. I haven't had everything on the menu, but the breakfast items (pastries and made-to-order dishes) are top notch. The funfetti cookie and classic breakfast sandwich deserve special mention. The front of house staff are incredibly nice and usually down to chat as much or as little as you'd like as they make your drink. Even better, this is now one of the first locally owned and operated coffee shops in the DC area where the workers have come together to bargain and set standards for their working conditions with management. It's well known that union-made coffee inherently tastes better because you know that baristas have power and a voice when management inevitably starts to cut corners and prioritize the profits of their budding coffee empire over the health and safety of their employees. (I don't know the owners, I just know how incentives work.) So sip in solidarity, my friends! If the quality declines here it'll be because management has decided to cultivate a hostile work environment to try and undermine the solidarity and hope it's employees have worked so hard to build.“
“$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. If I lived close by, I would probably come here every day ??♀️“
“My first time in Washington D.C., I got off at Union Station. It took me about 5 minutes to walk to the store. The first time I saw the store I was very impressed. The atmosphere inside the shop is very good. My boyfriend ordered an Americano. I ordered a latte and it was delicious.“
“The food is consistently very good I love the tea service and the very large dining room downstairs. The staff are usually helpful and somewhat friendly. I wouldn't say the food is great value but it's a decent value for current Washington DC prices. The Teaism brew shop next-door, which I never realized was there until 2024 because the signage is so inconspicuous, has some really fantastic selections. Their buyer/curator has excellent taste !“
“A good cup of coffee, a bit high on the price, in a space that feels like it was engineered to make you uncomfortable. Really, the coffee is quite good, but it takes ~8min for a single cup. Also, while you wait, you can either cram into a small table by the full-length glass walls or sit at a singular round-table-esqu table and try to play king of the manspreaders. It's just crazy. I imagine this is the best they could come up with given the realities of the triangular space, but what works on paper just feels super uncomfortable and weird in person. Also, the line is not called out by any visible signage... so people just wander in front of the cashier the entire day asking folks milling around (8min for a cup of coffee, rmemeber) if they are in line. It sounds like I didn't like the place, but that's not true. It's good coffee. It just isn't the best experience to get it. TL;DR: Good coffee to go if you don't need to be anywhere too soon.“
“Delicious breakfast blt and pastries. Generously sized blt. Excellent, speedy service. Great atmosphere for a quick bite or to study. The sweeter, more elaborate coffee options and horchata looked very tempting. I'll have to try them next time.“
“I love Timgad Cafe! I have been their weekly customer for the past two years and guarantee that it's one of the best coffee shops in the area. Although their espresso could use some dialing, the coffee shop's ambiance and friendliness of staff members is unparalleled. I normally get their dulce de leche Cafe Timgad, which is a sweet and silky milk coffee. The coffee is normally $6-7. They also carry sandwiches, baked goods, tea, juices, etc. with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a few steps away from the Federal Triangle metro stop and close to many restaurants. Grab a bite nearby and enjoy a delicious coffee right after. This place is a hit for federal workers in the area!“
“Visited The Cafe Today ..Im there Often and everytime i notice how professional and helpful Karina is. Not just with me, but with other customers as well. Carlos and Tyrik float through like a hot knife through butter when it comes to making a environment COMFORTABLEParking: Park at your own Risk“
“Puro Gusto Cafe in West Hollywood is a hidden gem that I recently discovered, and I'm so glad I did! The cozy ambiance and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Their menu offers a variety of delicious Italian-inspired dishes, from flavorful paninis to indulgent pastries. Every item I've tried has been expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Whether you're stopping by for a quick espresso or lingering over a leisurely meal, Puro Gusto Cafe is sure to impress. Highly recommend giving it a try!Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.“
“Omg! I love the food here. Exactly as in Spain … my favorites are the pinxtos (tapas on little bread) and the salmorejo is similar to the one I had in cordoba… although you can pick up food to go, make sure you eat in as they add the little extras that make the whole difference…egg (& ham) to salmorejo, they warm up the pinxtos if needed ..“
“Absolutely delicious!!! I wish this was a bigger atmosphere for better choice of seating, but very happy with my dining experience. I imagine this is very close to the Italian way for Pizza.Kid-friendliness: Many children present, seema friendly environment. Good music.“
“I really like this place for a breakfast meal on the way to work. It's small and not much room inside when busy. Bench top seating along the front windows and maybe one or two outside tables during the nice seasons. Service has been amazing over the several months I've worked in the area.“
“The shrimp and grits will forever be my GO TO meal here! The grits were so creamy and delish! The Cajun cream sauce was well-seasoned and not salty at all! I chose to dine in today and the wait time was short, about 10-15 min. I always make this stop when I'm in the area.“
“My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite for breakfast. Such a comfy spot that we actually stayed longer than anticipated. The atmosphere is so beautiful, clean and inviting. My husband had the bacon, egg & cheese biscuit with sweet pepper jelly. He described it as “gratifying and delicious “. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Truly service with a smile!!! Next time we’re in DC, we’ll definitely stop by again“
“Anytime I am in DC for work, I stop in for lunch (Being that it's really the only option on the block nowadays) . But I'd say the food is pretty good. I like the salads and the sandwiches are good, too. The employees are friendly and you can get your order fairly quickly.“
“Gallery Cafe is the best place downtown for delicious yet reasonable sandwiches for a weekday lunch. They use quality ingredients, including fresh-carved turkey and real chicken breasts, and have a HUGE variety of options. The prices are fair and the sandwiches are filling--and they also have salads, wraps, bowls, and burritos. My favorite is the turkey pesto panini (or any of their paninis, really). They are quick, particularly if you don't go right at noon, and willing to make accommodations (like no onion, or a bread swap). My favorite workday lunch!“
“I want to give this Coffee spot a big Thank You. My first time here they made me feel so welcome. This space is good to work from and to chit chat with the staff. One of the staff member's let me taste the draft latte and it was sooo yummy! They have a lot of bake goods to pick from. My latte was amazing! This is my once a week or once a month treat to myself since I am trying to be more disciplined. Plus it's around the corner from my job.“
“This cafe was a great location for a cheap and quick bite. The service here was fast as it is just counter service and my food came out hot and quickly. The omelette was really great and definitely worth it for the price, however the potatoes were cold and not tasty. The seating inside is quite limited but there is a nice small cafe vibe. I would definitely visit Le Bon again but would opt for a side other than the potatoes.“
“My fiancee and mother in-law dined her over the weekend during the cherry blossom festival. The wait to order our food and be seated was long but to be expected as the museum itself was very crowded . I ordered the fried chicken, collard greens and mac& cheese ( my fiancee ordered the same). My mother in law ordered the fried fish, rice&gravy and potatoe salad.Everything was a 10/10 especially the hot sauce !!!“
“This place is consistently good. They're so good they are only 1 of the 2 cafes that survived covid. The breakfast choices and options are good. I usually get the traditional breakfast (toast, home fries, eggs and turkey sausage/bacon). They have a good looking cheesesteak sub but unfortunately don't have a chicken cheesesteak. They would be 5-stars.“
“The best Deli near the CapitolIt is my favorite place, Karla and her team are the best from the moment you enter there is a friendly atmosphere, everything is clean and fresh, the work team is always smiling and giving their bestThe prices are reasonable, everyone complains about the prices but let me tell you something if you want something fresh made instantly this is worth your moneyThank you Karla for your attention and to all the guys who work with her.“
“Came in for lunch today. I had a Reuben sandwich, which was very good. Fresh and not overloaded with sauce. The sandwich plus a bottled lemonade and tip ended up at $13, which is pretty good for downtown DC. Inside is cozy and was not very busy at 1pm on Thursday. I will definitely come back for lunch in the future to try other sandwiches and bagels.“
“Blue Bottle has been one of the iconic places for coffee and this is no different! This isn't a very big branch but the seating option at the Union Station covers for it. The barista is super friendly and the drinks are awesome as usual. If you are visiting DC and want to see the magnificent architecture of Union Station with a good coffee then this is a perfect place to do so.“
“Great terrace, very good food but unfortunately they changed the tea brand from Damman to another one much less tasteful. And no Jasmine tea anymore. It is such a pity because that made it an extra popular place for a tea and lunch ?♀️“
“I LOVE their sandwiches. My father brought one home a few years ago and i have been hocked ever since. I usually never leave a review but they are so good i had to. Only thing is i wish they stayed open and it was one closer to where i live. Dont walk RUN here“
“Loved stopping here for the past three days. Fast service, consistency, and tasty. Got the lavender latte and it was just the right amount of flavor and came out with a pretty milk heart on top every time.Valentina was very nice and remembered me from the days before. Notably no parking in front of the shop, but the side street has plenty of street parking and the area is very walkable.“
“Highly recommend! We had a reservation and came, and there was hardly anyone here. It was great. We came during dinner time. Our server Monica was great. Came and checked on us refill drinks, and she was awesome. We sat outside. Will be back. I am very particular about my food and she was able to accommodate my food requests.“
“We had breakfast here. My hubby got the western omelet and I got an egg, ham and cheese croissant. They both were good, not bad, just not amazing. The prices are really reasonable. I also had a vanilla latte and it was really good. I would go back for another one.“
“I've frequented Chez Lily Cafe for lunch on multiple occasions, and each visit has been a delightful experience. Their tuna salad sandwiches are a standout, boasting a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The croissants are a flaky indulgence, and the crumb cake is a sweet treat that never disappoints. Pairing these with their green tea adds a refreshing touch to the meal. The cozy ambiance and consistently delicious offerings make Chez Lily Cafe a go-to spot for satisfying breakfast, brunch or lunches.“
“The pho is absolutely fantastic! Good broth great noodles meat was good as well. Several of the items that you pay by the pound for our good and some are mediocre. Overall fantastic place to come. We have a group of 19 and it did not take long to get settled in to eat. And we all paid individually.“
“Service was great and didn't take too long with our orders. The staff was really patient with us picking our food. It was somewhat busy so we took a minute to find a spot. They have seats outside as well but it was too cold. Here's what we got there: * Chocolate Moelleux Cake - we loved it! On their website, they describe it as French version of a brownie. Spot on. This what I would expect it to taste like. It's not as sweet as an American brownie because of dark chocolate. * Napoleon - we've tried napoleon before but this one was different. The pastry wasn't as flaky, but that's not a bad thing. Custard was not too sweet, which balanced out well with the glaze on top.“
“OMG, I can’t get enough of this place. Lately, I’ve been craving Nigerian food hard and Naija Cafe delivers. I highly recommend that you give this authentic Naija cuisine a try. You will be glad you did! May God continue to bless this restaurant, owners, and employees.“
