“I have a friendly suggestion I always order thru the app and my food is ready at the pick up time, but it’s always a bit of a challenge to get my smoothie with my order because all the workers are so busy making other smoothies so I have to wait longer just for someone to hand me my smoothie. I feel if there was one dedicated worker handing out all the app/online orders it would get people in and out much faster for app/online orders. Then the other workers can continue making all the orders without customers interrupting them to get their app/online orders. I hope the owner or manager works on this issue! Thank you!“
“On a recent work trip to DC we were looking for pre-event fuel. Smoothies are the perfect snack to leave you feeling full but with the pep in your step you need to host an event. We all opted for the Blue Mystique which has banana, spirulina, banana, pineapple and mango. I added protein to mine and it was tropical, refreshing and delicious. They offer toasts, bowls, juices, smoothies and coffee. This seems like a great grab and go healthy option if you're in the area, and there are quite a few of these around town. Parking is a bit tricky in this area but thankfully we were a group so we hopped out of the car to order with ease.“
“Met friends here for lunch. With 6 of us, we had to be creative for seating. Indoors works for parties of 2, and outside are three tables for 4 people. Staff was super helpful making accommodations for an allergy in our group and personally delivering our food which provided confidence. I got a GF Breakfast Wrap, which was delicious and filling. Tasted the broccoli soup - love that the broccoli was whole - and sampled a muffin and energy ball. Everything was delicious. My friend got the burger, and was a little disappointed at the small size. But otherwise everyone was very happy. Nice outdoor seating area, tucked in the alley so it's a bit quieter. Bathroom was clean, and filtered water available at a self serve area. I'd be here all the time if I was a local! Really appreciate vegan food made from scratch that is healthy and not greasy.“

“I thought the food and generally the service was excellent, couple of things that I would have expected from a Michelin rated restaurant would be that they would have scraped off the table, remove the wine glass that you weren't using, and then turned over the table faster. Dirty plates stayed on the table for quite some time. Friendliness was never an issue but having over 60% empty tables at 6:30 on a Friday night seems a bit off. Recommend the Filet!“

“Manna Nutrition is amazing. My husband and I frequent here. My favorite is Pralines with peanut butter, and my husband's is the Caramel Oreo Frappe. We come for breakfast and lunch each week. “Whenever my significant other and I want to get acai bowls, we always find ourselves coming to this business. The first time I went here, I didn't know what to expect. I knew acai was good for you but I wasn't sure if it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had a bowl that I did not like. Even more so, I did not find out until recently that they had a skin care line. I absolutely adore skincare products so the fact they had specific items to help with skincare from the inside out got me ecstatic. The location is a small permanent stand in the union market area. There are a multitude of other businesses in the complex. It does tend to get a little crowded in the area during busy hours. If you are not a fan of crowds, I would highly suggest going during slow times and days because it can be very overwhelming. There is a decent amount of parking but because there are some many people that frequent the area, I personally do not feel there are enough spots. I know there is an underground parking garage but you will have to pay for that. That being said, I absolutely love everything about the food and the vibes and will find myself coming here for quite some time.“

Difficult to find street parking during busy times of the day. Easy in the mornings.Wheelchair accessibility: Street to restaurant access is easily accessible by wheelchairs with no steps involved. “Food is out of this world, great!!! I don't know how they create such great tasting food without animal products, but they do it, and they do it well. Service is "good," but would be so much better if the servers would pep-up, smile, and get excited about the fact that they are providing what so many people in the county have been looking for. Healthy food choices. Many restaurants come and go in the county, and I believe that the ones that don't make it are those that have not stressed the importance of the "customer experience" to their staff. I LOVE the food at this establishment, but if I continually feel like the staff is only tolerating me, for a check; or they're not invested in the owner's success, I know that I won't continue making the trip. The first time I came, there was a young lady who took me through all the food and offered samples. She's the kind of person that belongs out front. But in more recent experiences, some staff barely look you in the eyes, and they're speaking so low that when you ask a question, you hardly hear the answer. I STILL rate this restaurant HIGHLY!!!! Getting the staff onboard to be as excited about the customer's experience as the customer is about the food would make this establishment #1 in the Prince George's County vegan restaurant space. And possibly #1 in the DMV and beyond.“

“Stopped in for a quick and lite lunch around 1 p.m. and had next to no wait. I ordered the Fig & Prosciutto toast as well as the Tropi-Kale smoothie. The smoothie was excellent, and the large size is a great value over the medium - $9.99 for a smoothie, but that is in line with Tropical Smoothie and other places that offer similar products. The toast was fairly disappointing though, for $9.49 the piece of toast was much smaller than anticipated. I believe it was sourdough but the size of the toast was maybe 1/3 smaller than anticipated and for the price I would have opted for another menu item. As far as taste goes, the prosciutto was decent but the fig jam was disappointing. I will be back for the smoothie but I will avoid toast items in the future.“

I love the ease with which you can order on a kiosk - I feel like it speeds up service (although they did have the option to order with a person as well if needed). Parking in this area will be tough, but that's to be expected in this part of DC!“
“I love and adore Tropical Smoothie! I just moved to the area where this one is located and usually just order delivery but after management stood up for my right as a disabled American to have my service-related animal in-cafe with me against a woman who verbally assaulted me for having her when she claimed her child was allergic. She even asked me if I knew her child was “deathly allergic” in a tone suggesting that I somehow should have already known that. I do not have a ? and I am pretty sure science doesn't uphold such as valid. The funny thing is that they were there within 3 feet of us for a solid 5 minutes before my animal made a sound, she asked what it was, I spoke up and said it was my service animal and she then began a tirade about her child being “deathly” allergic and then; all of a sudden, the child starts to “cough and sort of sneeze”. I apologized and explained she is service and I keep her in her carrier or attached to me in some manner like a leash as the law requires. She continued to berate me for what felt like a long time and I finally asked if I should call the police to settle this as management stepped in and asked to see her service-related ID card and I showed them. They said we don't have to leave as I was gathering my things to go and said we had as much right to be here as anyone and they were only picking up an order anyway. I really appreciated that. I face so much discrimination due to various documented disabilities every single day of my life. It was a wonderful change of pace for me. I know I have rights as a disabled American but many choose to run all over that and somehow manage to get by with it. I am not a confrontational person and am therefore not very good at standing up for myself. I am autistic and have traumatic brain injuries that have greatly altered my life and my understanding of the world around me; mostly related to people and the nature of their intentions. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU so much to the staff and management at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I cannot adequately express how this has positively affected me and my animal. We finally have at least one place that is indoors where we feel safe and welcome in our new community.“
“The first time I came was a much better experience. However, today I came and no one was there to greet me, so I waited a bit while the one girl finished her lunch and one texted. A guy came out to take my order and then the 2 girls came out from the back to make the orders because few other people walked in. I don’t know if the pressure was too much, but my açaí bowl was just a WATERY mess!!! They put WAY too much coconut milk and it just didn’t taste right at all.Edit: After speaking with the owner, I decided to give this business another shot. “Our second full day in DC and this was our second stop at this location for lunch. My wife and I both had a craving for a gyro. We both got beef gyros. They were both delicious. The pita was full of meat, sauce, lettuce, tomato and onions. Overall, it was a great lunch“

“I absolutely LOVE the Owings Mills Blvd location. Monica and her staff are the best! Don't forget to get your smoothie w/out any sugar so you don't become addicted to more than the great taste. Especially since the corporation doesn't appreciate its customers. Corporate has increased the amount of points needed for a free smoothie from 550 to 1200 overnight w/out warning. That's more than double! No increase of points per smoothie either. I used to spend $9.00 to $18.00 a day there, every day, and it now takes more than twice as long to receive a free smoothie. I'll simply go a few more times until I've reached that month long wait for a free one that used to take about a week. Corporate is the problem and I've called to complain. No call back so I'll be calling again. With inflation thr prices have increased and I'm at the point where I tell people I used to encourage to go there NOT to support Tropical Smoothie AT ALL! Something needs to give and quick! I will no longer be supporting the company myself. The customers are who keep the business afloat and if you're not satisfying them you have no business. Period.“

I keep it simple with vanilla but there are other options and selections to choose from. In terms of shakes, it's a good one. Good consistency and not too thick, so you can enjoy it without having to get a spoon.“
