“Our family loves Taipei Tokyo's food. We always use curbside pickup and have never been disappointed. Quick service, discounts, delicious food and a huge selection of dishes. We recently placed an order for eight people and they all enjoyed their dinners very much!“

“This is a chain ramen establishment which I found to be a fine place for a warm bowl of Japan. There is some depth with their broth and it's pleasing. Not sure I'll come back with the area yielding in my opinion better options. The servers are great with being super friendly. The atmosphere is fun and everyone inside like me was having a great experience. I do recommend this place and till next time....“

“The weather was beautiful today, and flowers were blooming. And this little cozy place was perfect for me. The chirashi bowl was very satisfying... the fish was so tasty and fresh! I don't think anyone can beat this price with the quality of chirashi here. What a surprise... that I could trust Yelp reviews once again :)“

“This place is an 8.5 or 9 out of 10 but it's better than the sun of its parts. We ordered a good selection of food and it was all good. The ambiance was good, chill, the service was prompt and attentive. Presentation was immaculate. The fish was really spectacular and tasted great. Soft, beautifully sliced, and no sticky slimy to be felt. Can especially recommend the white Flint roll, very creative blend of flavors and textures. The only complaint is that the nigiri construction could be better. It was too little rice to the point where the fish to rice ratio felt skewed and the necessary support under the fish was not present. There was also no adhesion of fish to rice, leading to the nigiri falling apart often. Maybe a small dab of wasabi or slightly stickier rice will remedy the problem. Still a great sushi restaurant and worth a visit.“

“So far I've only had two of their dishes, the signature bowl, and the salmon lovers, but both were impressive!I've been to a few other similar places in the area, but I feel like there were more varied ingredients, and you actually got a lot more food at this place for about the same price. They were friendly, happy to walk me through whatever choices I wanted to make and my food was out quick. Both dishes were tasty and I will definitely go back here again when I'm in the area...“

“Temari Japanese Cafe has become a pretty classic Rockville staple for delicious authentic Japanese food! It does fill up pretty fast on Friday and weekend evenings, so be sure to come early. On my most recent trip I got the Katsu Curry, one of my favorite Japanese comfort food dishes. The curry was thick, rich, and super delicious; bold with flavors, and had potatoes, onions, and beef chunks! Which in combination with the crispy pork katsu on top, its a great combination. They give you plenty of rice and curry too, I just wish there was a bit more katsu given the size of the rest of the plate. Service is really great too, servers are friendly and attentive. I've been here multiple times and it's always a pleasure to dine here.“

“I have been to all the best sushi places in DC and Kenaki in little 'ole Gaithersburg is better than all of them. This truly is a half-hidden gem. Every time I come the food amazes me, even their take out. This is the best sushi spot in the entire DMV!“

“My daughter loves the steamed shrimp shumai so it was eaten in 2 seconds from being unpacked and I didn’t get a pic. The salmon & Ikura sashimi tasted fresh. The Ikura was eaten too fast so no pic but the portion size appeared modest while the thick cut slices of the salmon sashimi is generously cut.The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer is a nice portion for the price but the sauce is too spicy for me but diluting it with soy sauce helps. The folks working here are kind and professional. The dining room is kept clean but not inviting to relax and eat. I prefer to get my orders to go or eat quick and go. I’m glad they’re in the neighborhood!“

“Lots and lots of food options (don’t forget to look at their Menu Specials, separate from their regular menu). Loved that their menu was marked for dietary restrictions (I.e., GF) so we did not have to ask additional on how the dish was prepared. The server was very attentive and all dishes came out fast and fresh. Absolutely loved their garlic fried rice, good to have in addition to sushi rolls.Dietary restrictions: Menu is marked with all GF options.“

“First time visiting & it was good. Dining in with beer & sake:Takoyaki: exceptional, definitely order them if visiting.Shrimp Shumai: good.Gyoza: tried steamed and probably be better to order fried.Rolls: Philadelphia & Salmon with Avocado - both good.Suggestions: Takoyaki & Shumai, any rolls. Could skip Gyoza.General information: this place is pretty busy, so you may want to make a reservation for a party. Seating consists of dining room & outside patio. Place itself across from Whole Foods. Parking garage is 5 minutes walk.Pricewise: about $85 with 3 appetizers to share, 2 rolls, sake & beer.“

“My husband and I love getting ice cream at Kyoto Matcha. I love the atmosphere and the vibe. We almost always get awesome service. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because one time we ordered a slice of cake to go and we were given a frozen slice. Normally we are asked when we are going to eat it. I asked if we could get a slice that isn’t frozen and the woman helping us didn’t have the best attitude about it. Misunderstandings happen but I don’t think it was handled well that time. The last couple times we’ve come for ice cream have been pleasant. Overall it’s a great place and I’d say one of the best.“

“Yiku is a great casual sushi if you want a quick fix that has a little more than yoyogi. They don't have any extravagant rolls but they do have specialty rolls! I also got the udon soup with a side of shrimp tempura and the tempura was soooo good. Our server was super attentive and the location was convenient.“

“It's a small sushi restaurant on a busy street but there's a public parking garage a couple of feet away. The workers/owners? were nice and quick with service. Even offered recommendations. Not sure if they get a lot of dine-in customers because my friend and I were the only ones there around 6pm. At the end of our meal the server gave us a small plate of fruit, yum! I would definitely go back for a second round.“

“We order pick up 2-3 times a month here. The tempura shrimp appetizer always comes hot and crunchy. The sizes of fish in their hand rolls are generous. The inside of the restaurant is usually empty when I pick up my orders , but they are busy with takeout.Recommend to people who are looking for a good Japanese takeout place in Rockville.“

“The food is very good. I was incredibly impressed by the service and overall quality of the food. The ambiance is weird. It is almost like a food court in how it's set up. Regardless, the food we got was incredible and they were very attentive to us when we went. Their gyoza is fantastic and their sashimi just melts in your mouth.“

“We haven't been here since the pandemic, and it was a wonderful rediscovery of the place. We had the Triple Delight Sushi and the Shrimp and Veggie tempura;they were both very succulent and fresh. The servings were huge, for me at least.Service was excellent, and the service charge was already added to the bill, which is a nice change from having to do the math ?, though we did give additional tip as the service was really good.“

“This place was very cute!!! Great vibes and really good music. I love that they had an Asian mart on one side as well. The food was also solid, I got the spicy miso ramen and a salmon roll that was very good. My friends got the vegan ramen, Philly roll, and volcano and enjoyed all their dishes! The drinks were also BOMB and pretty strong! I liked my friends better - it was called the Grasscutter and it was a gin based drink with cucumber and sake and it was soooo refreshing !“

“Recently went to Fuji Japan since most restaurants in the area were closed and my parents and I were craving some type of Asian cuisine.Food is average, but decent given the price. It's a casual restaurant so when ordering you go up to the counter and pay for your food. If you decide to dine-in they'll serve you. Service is fairly quick though so no complaints about that. I had tried their boba which was not the best but not the worst. I don't think I would get it again in comparison to actually boba stores. It's definitely not tea based but I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca tasted pretty good though! I recommend their miso soup but their salad and tempura you can skip out on.“

“Overall, I think Moby Dick Sushi is a great spot in the downtown Wheaton area to get your sushi fix. Actually, it's now my go-to sushi spot. I've visited this place on a few occasions, and I have not had any issues with my food and service. Moby Dick has a pretty extension menu that includes traditional and "fancy" food items. For the things that I have ordered (typically the general sushi dinners and basic rolls), I thought the prices are in line with other decent sushi spots in the area. The restaurant is a bit small with about 5-7 tables, so it probably will not work out well if you plan on dining there with 5+ people in your party. Also, the restaurant seems to be geared toward pickup and delivery orders. For instance, I do not think the restaurant has a restroom for customers. If you decide the dine-in, be aware that you will have people constantly walking past you to make or pick up their orders at the front counter.“

“We used to go here all the time for sushi in the 90's since it was hands down the best in the area. After moving away 30 years ago, we found ourselves back in Germantown again and decided to see if it was still the same. I'm happy to say is it still as PHENOMENAL as ever!!! Again, by far the best sushi in Germantown, and quite possibly the best in the DC metro area! For reference, I was stationed in Japan for a year in the military and while I don't profess to be an expert, I definitely know good sushi. They still have the same fast and friendly service and cost is what I would I'll consider a great bargain considering the current economy. The volcano rolls are a must try. Highly recommend!!!“

“Casual sushi place located at Park Potomac with lots of free parking. Clean and spacious for a sushi place, but we went right at opening, so no issues getting a spot and everything came out relatively quickly. We didn't interact too much with the staff, but service was good. We ordered 6 rolls and left quite full for 2 people and everything was quite tasty. A good variety of sushi rolls that tasted fresh and flavors were nice. Very solid sushi place. 4 star all around.“

“Our Server and the Sushi Chef were very nice and friendly. The menu is very extensive. It was hard to choose because of so many good dishes. I had the Rainbow Sushi and the Avocado salad. “Once I saw the Yelp sign at the entrance of the restaurant, I knew I had stumbled across and gem and would feel right at home! I ordered takeaway and was impressed with the food at the Hibachi Express Japanese Grill. Everything from the convenient screen when placing the order (which really helped make sure everything was captured correctly), right through to the clean and open kitchen, made it a great experience. There was no long wait, the food was prepared after I ordered and it felt it was good value for money.“

“If you are looking for ramen, then I think you're goin, which comes with roasted pork belly, fish cg to enjoy Maki Bar! I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, which came with roasted pork belly, a little bit of corn, bok choy, scallion and seaweed. The pork belly was tasty. Almost kind of smoky but delicious and not too fatty. The broth was flavorful as well. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was super clean, and it was busy with a lot of take out orders. They even have sushi platters here in case you want to have a party at home! I recommend you come in person if you're going to have ramen. This is more of a place you'd come (or order out) for a casual meal. Maybe not for a date night.“

“Here is a restaurant that has maintained their high quality of service and menu offerings throughout the years. We started visiting Niwano Hana in the 1990's and my mother's loyalty says so much about their consistency because Mom has dementia and much of what she recalls is in the deep recesses of her mind because she can't seem to make new memories.I'm so thankful for this place and the staff there for keeping up their excellence over all these years! You can find Mom and me there most Mondays before her classes at the Rockville Senior Center.“

“Best sushi ever! My family and I love Moko Sushi and dine there on a regular basis. The service is outstanding. The atmosphere is causal. The sushi is consistently fresh. The yellow tail and scallops melt in your mouth. I highly recommend Moko Sushi.“
“Such great quality sushi and fish. We came here starved and while our eyes were bigger than our stomach, we ate almost everything, which is a testament to how great the specialty rolls were. We had the screaming salmon appetizer, lightly seared and full of flavor. We then split the fantasy roll, angel roll, oishii roll, and Alaskan beauty roll. Each were fantastic and a generous portion side. No one rushed us and it was pretty quiet on a Thursday night which was perfect.“
“Honeybee's came to my office and I ordered their chicken teriyaki hibachi. It was delicious... as I was eating, a coworker walked past and commented that my food smelled amazing. It tasted as good as it smelled! The sauce was yummy and the chicken was great - it even comes with a side salad. I ate everything so fast. The people running the truck were also super nice! I got my food very quickly. Definitely recommend :)“

“I love pike kitchen! The vegan bulgogi bibimbap is the best, I am excited to try the vegan dosirak next. They handled an issue with my uber eats order very professionally and kindly. The issue was on ubers end but uber refused to refund me (surprisingly) so Pike Kitchen made it right instead. I really appreciated their understanding of the situation. That level of customer service inspires me to order from them more often for sure. I hope they can expand their veggie options as they are so delicious, healthy and fresh.“

“Hits the spot and is a good, affordable meal. They had a special of two hibachi bowls and spring rolls. Lots of food and great flavor. My partner said the shrimp was good but noodles weren't the best. I had fried rice and chicken and it was nice and flavorful.“

“Last night, had shrimp hibachi with fried rice and an order of California roll. The order came quickly and was very tasty. The vegis were generally crisp and the fried rice was good with a slightly smoky flavor, which I like. The rice was well prepared - no hard grains. There was a decent number of small shrimp in the dish and they were tasty and not overly chewy. The sushi was meh. That's about all I can say about that. It was only $5-6 for a pre-prepared package of 6 pieces, so I can't complain too much about it. But I guess I'm just not into Meh. The rice seemed old by texture. Would not get the packaged sushi again. One of the really nice things about this place is the price point. Prices are low and the portion size is very nice. I couldn't finish my entree and my partner took half of hers (chicken hibachi with fried rice) home and enjoyed it for dinner tonight at home. We ate there with another couple and the place was quiet and good for conversation. You can buy soft drinks or request water cups and get free refills. We sat for about 90 minutes and it was very pleasant.“
“My wife and I went to Hanaro during lunch time, but it was only for takeout. There were some crumbs on the floor and some dust by the waiting area, but the store was fairly clean. The price of the sushi is reasonable and the taste and flavor of the sushi is of the highest quality. I am giving this restaurant a four-star rating because the taste of the sushi was truly exceptional and of the highest quality. Despite some minor cleanliness issues, the reasonable price and outstanding flavor make Hanaro a great choice for sushi lovers.“
