“OMG! When I tell you the food here is Delicious with a capitol D I mean it. I am a frequent customer and the food is always good especially the shrimp quesadilla. But today I had a required taste for the shrimp fajita, which was AMAZING! All of the flavors went together perfectly. The shrimp was great and the rice. Adding the white and red sauce was life changing im telling you I'm going back for another plate I was so satisfied. Thankyou to the chef (s) and thankyou to the gentleman who took my order great customer service! I highly recommend. ?“

“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. “Nice cozy place with delicious fold. I had the chicken heart appetizer and the Northern Noodles as main course. My wife had the Crispy Chicken. The noodles were probably the most flavorful curry Ive had in a long time, I just wish there was a tiny bit more noodles and protein, but it was great either way. “Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“

“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.“

“I thought that for the price, the food and service were very good. I appreciated that they were able to accommodate a walk-in for weekend brunch. The hostess was very polite and the servers were very attentive. The restaurant was very clean, including the bathrooms which were very nice compared to a lot of restaurants in DC. For a restaurant I had not heard of prior to visiting, I was pleasantly surprised!“

“We came to DC for 3 days and 2 out of 3 days we came to Pearls!. I HIGHLYYYYY recommend coming here, even if its out of your way!! “St Vincent is consistently a slice of heaven here on earth and my favorite “good in the hood”. The service, ambiance, bites and vino are unmatched. And now that there is live music in the garden, it is in a league of its own. The pop up with the Eritrean chef a few weeks ago was a pleasant little twist and I look forward to more of these curated experiences. This is my go to happy place—-home away from home and I cannot recommend it enough!!! Great date place or just gathering spot with your friends.“

“I was contemplating between 4 and 5 stars here. I wish yelp had 'half stars.' Take out: I've ordered take out from here twice and have been very pleased with my experience both times. I had the pad see ew and spicy eggplant. Both were very good. Dine in: I came in for lunch yesterday and had a good experience. I ordered a Thai tea and pad Thai noodles. The Thai tea was delicious and the pad Thai was also very good. The pad Thai did taste slightly burnt but not so much so that i didn't enjoy the dish. Pad Thai 4/5 Thai tea: 5/5 Ambiance: clean. Service: good. It wasn't busy so there's one FOH person. He handled front desk, serving and to go orders just fine. He checked on me throughout my time there. Menu: they do NOT have a lunch menu. I read from previous yelpers that they ordered off the lunch menu, but unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu anymore. Other: i came in to eat and work, but right now they do not have WiFi. I was able to use my hotspot just fine. I will be back to try other menu items as i have enjoyed everything I've eaten so far.“

“Cool restaurant with fresh, creative Mexican food. Wide variety of vegetarian and meat options. Friendly service. I couldn’t find anywhere to park and parked a ten minute walk away. Maybe there’s somewhere closer that I don’t know about. The new salad was super good and the pasole was good too.“

“Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!“

I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant.On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable.The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. We learned a lot about how they prepared the food, where the ingredients were locally sourced from, etc. Not only was it informative, but their true passion for the quality of what they were serving really shined through.Just as top notch as the food, the service was incredible. “Great location and nice looking hotel. Rooms are a bit old but generally nice.The service is bad though. The hotel forgot the extra bed we ordered for our kids. We arrived at midnight and not having a bed ready was bad.Breakfast and restaurant service is the worst: they never had a table for us ready, even though we stayed at the hotel. We were then placed somewhere else without any service. I approached the bar multiple times but was told to wait by my table were nobody ever came. All this for a place that charges +$30 for a single breakfast dish.Very arrogant service as well.“

“I hadn’t been here in years since they changed ownership. Looking at some of the reviews I was leery. Boy am I glad that I didn’t listen. Went here for dinner last night and everything was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken, fried catfish, lambs, crab cakes and sides of Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, collards, potato salad, and corn bread were all superb. It definitely tasted like eating at your grandmothers. The potato salad was just like my Gma’s; finely diced with celery, celery seed, and a slight tang of mustard accompanied by a slight sweetness. The collards are vegan hence no meat but were still delicious, tender, and flavorful. The drinks were delicious as well. The portion sizes were quite large with everyone having leftovers except for the lamb chops they were so delicious that my friend ate all of them. Matter of fact when she accidentally attempted to cut them with the wrong side of the knife it still went through. Couldn’t recommend more supporting this black owned business.“

“Went for dinner after visiting Smithsonians. Had an excellent meal with family. Some had breakfast, and others had burgers. Everyone said their selected meals were excellent.Pics are from baseball game at nationals Park, which was across the diner. A game was being played.“

“Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.“

“I'm from out of town and found Little Food Studio through a recommendation from a friend. I ordered a Bianca (ham and cheese) with the spicy spread and a cherry blossom lemonade, both of which were VERY delicious. While waiting for the food to be made there were many other customers who came in. I completely understand why this place is rated to highly. Cheap prices, great food, and friendly staff.“

“I had avoided this place, just 2 minutes walk from my house, for the longest time. First I thought it was a junkfood type coffee and sandwich place. Then when I realised it wasn't fully that, I still thought the name was totally dumb. I did know that I can't keep avoiding it forever, thus, a few months after my friendly neighbourhood convenience store owner heavily talked it up, I went. It is an Ethjiopian-owned spot that caters to the typical coffee shop crowd. They have a mix of normal fare, and some lowbrow version of fusion Ethiopian dishes. I had their altered variant of chechebsa. It wasn't bad as long as I didn't think of it as chechebsa. The place is tiny and quite cosy. I know I'll go back.“

He managed to anticipate the needs of everyone who walked in and proactively addressed them. He made each customer feel like there was a personal connection. “The food is amazing, and the drinks are really good. Happy hour is the best time to go, but just know service will be awful, and 20% service charge will be added to the bill regardless. If you can overlook that aspect, you will enjoy yourself“

“Cute spot located very close to union station. Came in for dinner on a week night and the place was decently busy. The server was kind and attentive. For food, I had the lamb shawarma which was very tasty and actually the perfect amount of food, although the pita bread that came with was pretty dry. My friend got the lamb sliders which also looked pretty good!“

“Another delicious meal - I frequented the original location and I have visited the trendy and welcoming CR NoMA more than any other sit-down restaurant in DC. How is the Pastrami Poblano even better, each time I order? Perfectly runny egg, soft and toasted ciabatta, delicious crispy spiced fries. The cigars appetizer are not to be missed. Weather you choose the wines, beers, cocktails or mocktails, you are in for a good time. Thanks Oded and team for making our night out a great one!“

“I had heard of Call Your Mother when researching good bagel places in DC. The bagels are okay - they are definitely not the chewy New York style I am used to. The everything was a bit underwhelming, however the apple cinnamon had just the right amount of sweetness. The oat latte was actually quite good; it’s a really good cup of coffee with a huge range of bagel sandwiches.Vegetarian options: You can build your own bagel sandwich and add veggies if you have specific preferences.“

“A family run and operated restaurant. Manish and his sons not only deliver the best Indian cuisine, but they welcome all with warth and kindness. As for their food: first timers will love the chicken tiki masala. We love the lamb or fish, biriani. “One of the top Detroit Style pizzas in DC. I chose the Mexican Town pizza, and it was really delicious, full of different tastes and tajin spice. The bartender, Adam, was super friendly and fun to talk to. I totally suggest going there for a drink, yummy pizza, and a great conversation with Adam.“

“A Great place for coffee, beverage with some nice food options. They have a good breakfast menu including a few pastries to choose from. The happy hour menu is very reasonable. “The menu had too many good options and I wish I could come here all the time to get through the entire menu. During this trip, we tried the ube milk and the mango yuzu black tea. Both with boba of course. The ube milk was made with real ube so it was starchy like a potato, thick like a watered down milk shake, and really delicious. It wasn't sweet to me, it felt like a dessert vs a drink. The real winner was the mango yuzu black tea. It was also made with real mango fruit puree and tasted like a mango fruit leather. Bursting with flavor from the mango and had a zing from the yuzu, it was the perfect drink for the warmer weather outside. The boba was also so soft and chewy. This was a true boba place. And it was literally ran by one guy. If I lived in DC, this would be my go to boba drink place for sure.“

“The Eastern is just a couple of blocks from my daughter and son-in-law and is our go to place when we visit them in DC. They have a fabulous menu, however, we love the small shareable plates. The pork sliders, glazed carrots and pimento cheese dip are wonderful. The wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive and always ready to suggest a wine to pair with our food. We love the atmosphere and the local vibe and are warmly greeted like old friends. Love this place.“

“My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. We really highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back!“

“One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. Cozy, neighborhood vibe. Great music (they were playing soft jazz and some tasteful Christmas music around Christmastime which was really vibey). The shot of single-origin espresso I had was lovely. Their vanilla syrup for lattes is also some of the best I've had. Fire ham and cheese croissants too. Non-pretentious staff.“

New and used books stand in the other bay window while local artists' works hang on the gallery-like walls all around.Inspiration lay on the beautiful long and wide wooden table in the form of thick art books and viney plants enticing you to stay a while and absorb culture and color. While Bob Marley sang about three little birds, I happily pulled out my small sketchbook drawing and sipped on a special lavender and honey with lemon drink, at peace.Should you be a lover of art, DC's unique architecture, and coffee, this is one gorgeous place to visit!Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp is available to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.“

“It was our first out of 2 nights in DC and I wanted to have high-quality, memorable, delicious food and that's what The Duck & the Peach provided! The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? It was an expensive meal but we also took home left overs and we would come here again!“
