“I loved how our waitress Shila was so patient, courteous, and warm in welcoming us and going through food recommendations on the menu with us. My mum ate the chicken pot pie and I ate the ribeye philly cheesesteak together with a salad. The dishes were very yummie and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit at Silver Diner and my mum’s second kitchen☺️?. Thank you so much Shila you sure are an added asset there.“
“Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. The owner greeted us and chatted with us a for a while. Most tables were reserved for an event that afternoon, but when we told her we could be out before then, she seated us and brought out the menus. We ordered using the QR code on the menus, as that was the only option. I will say, that was the only thing I didn't like. I have having to use my phone for everything and wished I could've ordered in person and paid in person. And then the tip part was unclear and it chose the tip for us (18%). That felt kinda weird...what if I wanted to leave more? But that feels like the same complaint, having to order on my phone.Anyway, besides those 2 things, everything else was amazing. The food was fresh, tasty, and was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. The waiter was quick to bring out water and refills. Dina was sweet and chatted with us just the right amount. We ordered the 3 plate appetizer baba ghanoush, grape leaves, and fava beans. They were all good, but the fava beans were extraordinary. We also got the Susu's chicken plate. It was also delicious...and the best part of that plate was the amazing tomato sauce.I can't recommend this place enough and we will surely be back!“
“Excellent selection of IPA's, Lagers, Stouts, and Sours.. Service was excellent and bartenders love to converse with the customers.. They have a lot of canned / bottled beers, ciders and wines to take home as well.. Price is a bit steep though for larger pours and growlers are insanely expensive..“
“I just wanted to post a review to say THANK YOU to the staff today!! I took my husband there for a "surprise" belated birthday get-together with family...I wasn't sure if 5 people or 15 people were going to show up! Our family loved the atmosphere and the food was soooooooo good. It was also so family friendly, as we had 6 kids under age 6! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again, but I'm sending all my NOVA family your way!!“
“The only Com Tam Thit Nuong I've had that's better than this is my own Mom's cooking. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now I take my own kids here. You absolutely can't beat the grilled meats with the runny egg on top ? sooooo good!“
“HOLY ****! Hands down some of the best food I've ever eaten.. I've never had dolmas or baba ganoush with that level of flavor. Anyone would enjoy the veggie sample platter. The spices used were not spicy, but packed full of flavor. I'd eat here everyday if I could. If you don't go here, you're truly missing out. Also LOVE the atmosphere, both inside and out. <3Vegetarian options: The falafel was some of the best I've had. Warm dark green center, with a crispy outside. The dolmas were incredible as well as the fatoufah salad.Kid-friendliness: Spacious seatingWheelchair accessibility: Easy ramps in and out of the building with spacious seating to accommodate any wheelchairs.“
“I have been coming to Koi Koi since they opened seventeen years ago. In all this time I never had a bad experience here. The food is fresh and amazing. The staff is friendly and officiant. Very welcoming and warmKid-friendliness: Extremely family oriented“
“The price is very reasonable for the portion. The best is their dessert. I highly recommend the brownie sundae. It's enough to be shared by 4 if eat an entree 1st. It's got a beach vibe even though it's next to a car dealer and busy street. Very casual, indoor & outdoor seating. Family friendly and friendly staff.“
“Great, friendly service! I had a lot of questions about the food and they answered patiently. Food was sooo good. My first Bing impressions: delightful and satisfying. Rose milk tea was divine as well. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for a great experience.“
“Solid quality milk teas - definitely a step above other milk tea shops in terms of quality of the tea and the creamer. You can taste the tea well, and the creamer they use (the "milk" part of the milk tea) smoothly integrates with the tea. Highly recommend the roasted oolong milk tea and the jasmine milk tea - really fragrant tasting. Also recommend 30% for both sugar and ice.“
“Very good place overall, but something that has been bothering me recently is the filter/house coffee. It's incredibly watered down. The coffee looks like tinted water and hardly has any flavor. This may be because I'm getting my coffee around noon (I've been there in the mornings and it tends to be thicker plus I appreciate the bottomless mug) but still, I'd expect a solid house coffee before 2 or 3 and not something that tastes like the grounds have been filtered 2-3x. So please guys, load that filter up even a bit after the morning joe rush. They tend to have forty-six (i think by Counter Culture Coffee) and a featured single-origin, both of which, when there's more than a 1 to 50ish coffee to water ratio, are very good.As for the food, the bakery items are delicious and varied. I like the smoked smoked salmon and egg breakfast sandwich. Just be prepared for the hardly-cooked egg to explode in your face, so either press down on it first and it'll saturate your sandwich (if that's your thing) or try to get them to at least cook it medium. I asked twice and they did so once. I didn't mind that much, though, and the bun was worth it. Also I'd probably suggest having the chocolate croissant's filling more spread out rather than two slightly narrow and hard lines that feels kind of shrinkwrapped-style.Not a super diverse crowd but that comes with the territory--similar to the demographics of the Falls Church City in which it resides, maybe a little more (btw this is not to be confused with the broader "Falls Church" address within Fairfax County which is significantly more diverse). To compare with nearby Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, this is more establishment (NoVa style) meets new--and very cool nooks and crannies with a rustic vibe, complete with three charming outdoor spaces on three levels. Meanwhile, Rare Bird is more minimalist, with a yuppie (generally more diverse) crowd lined up quietly tapping away on their laptops, super nice hipster staff, plus some neat plants and paintings. Northside Social is, as the name suggests, more in twos or small business meetings. Northside is more of a restaurant whereas rare bird is more of a pure coffee shop, though the bakery items are delicious and the morning bread is healthy and filling. Now this has become more of a dual review, but since you may be looking into both, hopefully that's a little helpful. ☕Wheelchair accessibility: has easy to access ramp with gentle slope“
“If you're on the lookout for a refreshing and nutritious treat in the heart of the West End Plaza along West Broad Street, look no further than this place. I ordered the Acai Strawnana Berry Bowl and it was delicious. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The place was very clean with very limited seating. Parking was limited as well as it is shared with the Plaza and can be very busy during high-traffic times. Overall was a great experience. Enjoy!“
“Great place to relax and enjoy a meal of comfort food. The shack is filled with so many interesting decorations. Do not miss a chance to go exploring. Trivia night is Thursday, so bring your best game to the party in the swamp. Great for large groups and children.“
“We used to live in this part of FC and the Delly was our regular place to catch a quick bite. NoVa has a complete lack of a decent Deli...which is very unfortunate for this Chicago gal. Celebrity Delly does a great job of satisfying my need for a good deli sandwich or a nice bowl of soup on a chilly day. I ordered their sandwich half with side...had to get the matzoh ball soup as my side. The broth was chicken-y...the matzoh ball was tender. Nice pieces of tender chicken meat. Yummy! I ordered the Ruben sandwich half...and I go for the more traditional corned beef (in NoVa it's almost always made with pastrami) which made me very very happy. The corned beef was sliced paper thin, which is how I like it. It was tender warm and juicy. Great white sauerkraut. Nice sauce and bread. The side pickle was good, not great but definitely good. I was very happy with this. It satisfied my craving. I'd like to see a little more meat and less kraut, but it was a solid sandwich half. That corned beef was sliced beautifully thin. Gotta like that! My server was funny and nice and had good "Delly" energy. The interior hasn't changed much over the years...comfortable surroundings. I like the lunch counter for singles. I definitely recommend this place above all the other Fairfax delis. They are solid.“
“We had a girls brunch at this place a few weeks ago. This place gets packed quickly, even on a weekday. But they do have an upstairs section and an outdoors section as well. Parking is tight, but valet is only $5. The service is ok. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Not super friendly, but polite. This place is expensive but a super cute cafe to hang out or Matt up with friends. We ordered the following: - Margarita Pizza: each slice is quite big and thick. We hot 2 slices, and just shared one. - Avocado Toast: this was delicious. It comes with egg, but we got it without egg. - The Rustic Gathering Board: this is $49 and is a massive charcuterie board. We got the vegetarian one, but they have with meat as well. Order this if you have a group to share. The coffee and chai were delicious. Overall, I loved the ambiance and cafe feel of this place. They have several pastries and breads too. Definitely give it a try. Can't wait to go back and try some of the pastries there.“
“The exceptional service at Sfizi truly stood out during our visit. The staff members were not only incredibly kind but also enthusiastic about sharing their culture with us. It was heartwarming to see my DC chaperone engage in conversations in Italian with them, and the staff's patience and willingness to teach her new words added a special touch to our experience. The freshly made pasta was a highlight, boasting an amazing taste that was elevated by the heavenly sauce it was paired with. The ambiance at Sfizi successfully transports you to Italy, creating an immersive and authentic dining atmosphere. If you find yourself in this area, visiting Sfizi is an absolute must for a memorable culinary journey that combines outstanding service, delectable food, and a touch of Italian hospitality.“
“Sunday brunch shouldn’t be missed at Borek G, had a great spread of eggs, simit, dips and spreads. Also not to be missed are the Turkish coffee and tea, along with a piece of baklava for a sweet ending. Service is fantastic at this family owned resto and all the little details add up to a wonderful experience.“
