“What a great meal with fantastic service at The Tasting Room in Frederick Maryland. We were gifted a very generous gift card to this restaurant. We had eaten here in the past, but had the opportunity to head back here. We used OpenTable and booked our reservation several weeks in advance. Mostly because of our schedule, but we’re excited to go back. Our server was Jessica and she was probably one of the best servers we have had in the past two years. Extremely knowledgeable about the wines, and very strong on the menu selections. Professional and attentive. If I could give her six stars, I would. For dinner we started with a Black Martini and a Lily Pad. Jessica explained the drink to us so we went with it and was not disappointed. With dinner we had a bottle of Inglenook Zinfandel. Delicious. For food we started with the Panko Shrimp and the charcuterie board. The cheese selection was very good and the elk sausage was tasty. For main courses we all had the filet. Great presentation with oval trivets and cast iron plates with each filet. Tender and cooked to perfection with a side of béarnaise sauce which was some of the best I have ever had. So so good! You also received as a side dish potatoes au gratin. Very good! We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts for the table. For desserts Jessica recommended the “warm chocolate toffee Bundt cake”. It was so delicious. Could have eaten two! We also had the “lemon meringue parfait”. Light and tasty. We rounded out the meal with Peruvian Dark Roast Coffee. Outstanding. The restaurant is cozy and well decorated. Take the opportunity and look up at the beautiful ceilings that permeate throughout the restaurant. In addition, if you are seated next to a window look across the street at the “Angel” painting. So interesting.Overall, the meal and service were just outstanding. Yeah it is on the expensive side (but we had drinks, apps and dessert) but I will go back. It really was perfection and worth every penny.Parking: Parking is available across the street in a paid large parking garage. Several garages around.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on first floor so no steps but aisles are tight between tables.“
“My sister and I are on a road trip from Florida to Cape May NJ…. We love eating at local places that come highly recommended. The Silver Diner did not disappoint! The Farm to Table menu is amazing with something for everyone! Our server, Michael S was knowledgeable and friendly and the night supervisor, Caitlynn, was great! Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The lemon hummus salad… to die for!!“
“We celebrated my son’s 17th birthday here and it did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and attentive - multiple people stopped by to fill our water throughout the evening. The decor was really nice with a variety of textures (wood, brick, fabrics, metal). The food was amazeballs. My son and I had the filet and my husband had the duck. And, because it was a celebration, we got 3 different desserts . The chocolate cake was so good, I dropped my fork. We will definitely be back!“
“I had the best mussels ever! They were seasoned just right and even after eating them I still wanted more lol. The water was good because you know sometimes the water is off or tastes like a little dirt is in it. My mojito was so good as well. It was very light and refreshing. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was dead on! Customer service and atmosphere were superb! I also would like to point that it is downtown so there is limited parking spaces. I’m going back the next time I’m in Frederick!“
“Great place for brunch and/or just hanging out and having cocktails. Their menu is creative and clever. That goes for both food and drink. The staff members are very attentive and polite. The upstairs lounge is always a vibe.I would recommend this place for a casual outing or for date night.“
“Best restaurant in Frederick, we come here often for special occasions or just because. The service is great and the food never disappoints. I always recommend this restaurant whenever someone asks for a good place to eat. It's my favorite!“
“This was a very good experience with well prepared and presented food. First course of lentil and chorizo soup had depth of flavor lots of chorizo. Main course of vegetarian jambalaya was well seasoned and the spicy tomatoe sauce on the grilled eggplant was particularly good. My dessert of dark chocolate cake was the equal of any fine dining I can recall. Highly recommend this place, it's great for our Frederick students to get this kind of experience. Service was good, our waitress, Sophie, did a nice job“
“Actually, to tell the truth, This is the best restaurant cuisine in town! Better than Thacher & Rye, and reasonably priced. If you go, I suggest the dessert of frozen meringue with pistachio and dried fruit. Wow. What a treat!! I dare say this could be the best dessert I've ever had! Anywhere. The waiters/students were excellent, very attentive and fun to hear their culinary stories. “
“Nothing not to love here at all. Incredibly imaginative and diverse menu of enormous sandwiches, salads and innovative variations on baked potato toppings. What they do, they do with supreme excellence. Pricing is most fair considering the generosity of the serving sizes; definitely a place to share a plate and not to feel bad about it. The "West of Santa Fe" salad hits the sweet spot of what they are best at; Tex-Mex and California cuisine with an upscale feel. Good selection of craft beers too for happy hour or maybe an early dinner before a Frederick Keys game, as we have done many times in the past. Don't let the business park location and industrial feel fool you. Very obviously the restaurant is run by foodies. One note: sub-optimal place for a business lunch or for (say) senior citizens despite the great accessibility: its austere and thus, loud inside. One can come back here dozens of times and not be bored.“
“I like the decor. It transports me back to Saturday mornings in the 90s, I can half imagine some guy with bleached hair and shades coming in with a surfboard and saying "radical dude"I liked the French onion soup. Coconut shrimp was ok. Brocolini was fantastic.“

“Had a great meal tonight! Service was friendly and prompt without being intrusive. Parker house rolls are a must--but, buttery deliciousness. I had the salmon, literally the best I've ever had. Crispy skin and melt in your mouth fish--perfectly cooked. Caesar salad had Parmesan "churros," a fun surprise. Cocktails were really good, and I had the chocolate egg dessert--milk chocolate egg with salted caramel center sitting on a nest of dark chocolate. Good times. Thanks for a fun and tasty dinner!“
“My daughter and I had spent an afternoon in Frederick and wanted to try this place because I had heard of it before, so it was our first time being here and it was a very early dinner for us. I didn't realize how expensive dinner was the plate I was looking to order was $40 and I just couldn't justify that on that day because I had already spent so much money. The receptionist tried to make me go upstairs and then try to make me sit in some high chairs after I told her that I had a bad knee, so that was kind of annoying. But our waiter was a delight, and super friendly. While we were waiting for our dinner which was a salad and an order of poutine, a nice young man brought us over a sample of some soup. That soup was delicious! In fact everything we had was delicious including the French onion soup that I ordered. I had never had a french onion soup like that it was probably the best ever! We would definitely be back for lunch and a butterscotch creme brulee that I didn't get to order because I was stuffed and we had to run.“
“I've only been to JoJo's for their late moght offerings, but it is unmatched for that in the Frederick area. In particular, their chicken tenders, fried pickles, and truffle freas never disappoint. They have an often changing and always satisfying taplist of local craft brews. I come here about once a week.“
“If you like New York style bagels, this is the place to go! I have been longing for a spot in Frederick that serves amazing bagels, as well as coffee and this is the spot. Also has a lot of space for meeting friends and serves alcohol as well. Can’t really ask for anything more!“
“The bartender, Jess, is amazing!!! She is able to handle a full crowd and not miss a beat. The food is always good, and the service even better. Music varies from the jukebox to karoke to bands. There are darts and pool tables to play. Prices are reasonable. I enjoy going there.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is level, and there is a ramp as you enter.“
“My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This is very much a local rural place. The atmosphere, patrons, and decor reflect that. This is not a health food place, but the food is delicious. Lots of good beers on tap, as well as a good selection of wines. We had the breaded and fried chicken livers and oysters. They were done to perfection although the breading was a bit over the top. Also had good salad and shrimp dishes. Services was excellent even though there was only one person to serve about 15 customers.“
“Love this place and is right down the street from my place. Get to know quite alot a few people there! The pool table is 10.00 but is always busy. Great servers and bartenders, and they look out for you their. Make sure you get home safe, n ok. Prices are reasonable, and people you get to me are great!“
“The service here is absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond for me and my family.I tried to place an order online Saturday evening and the online system would not take my order. I called and they graciously explained that their system doesn't take orders after 7:30 pm. (At that time it didn't hit me that they closed at 8pm. My son is in the hospital and my mind was focused on that.) They took my order and had it ready in 10-15 minutes. They called at 8 and let me know that they were closing. But they graciously stayed open till I got there. The staff there were great and so was the manager. The food was delicious. It really perked up my wife, mother-in-law, and myself while staying with my son at the hospital. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning often.“
“We LOVED everything we ordered (make your own burgers, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, fries, sweet potato fries). My 7 year old loved the atmosphere with the paintings along the wall and my toddler was enamored with the lego boxes they have for the kids. Everyone in our group of 5 had a great time!“
“The “Showroom” Frederick is a perfect place to eat. We had a delicious breakfast with my mom and my son. The sugar-free coffee with cream was excellent! We loved the French Omelette with breakfast potatoes. Also, I appreciated that they have a special menu for children. The staff was nice and friendly.“
“We had a great time at this restaurant! There unfortunately was a big fire downtown when we went here but nonetheless they made sure we still got our food mid blackout and we’re still going ok! We loved the bartender she was so fun and nice! Will be back for sure!“
“Love the vibes here. Very chill and laid back. They also play great music. Clean, well-lit environment and the staff are all very friendly. The food is good too. My friend and I had the calamari appetizer, and the steak & cheese + chicken tacos entrees. Both were good, I plan to come back with a larger group next time. Huge bonus is that they’re open late. We arrived after 9pm, closer to 10 and were served our meals which were both great. The waiter (who was so kind and attentive) told us that they do brunch some days with bottomless mimosas. Can’t wait to come back for that.“
“Cafe Nola in Frederick, MD offers a delightful dining experience that seamlessly blends comfort and flavor. I recently indulged in their bacon, fried egg, and cheese croissant accompanied by their breakfast potatoes, and I must say, they did not disappoint.Beyond the food, Cafe Nola's atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to start your day. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with a rustic charm that adds to the overall experience. The servers, with their casual demeanor, made me feel right at home, ensuring a relaxed dining experience without any pressure. In conclusion, Cafe Nola not only serves up delicious breakfast fare but also provides a welcoming environment where guests can unwind and enjoy their meal at their own pace. If you're in Frederick, MD and craving a satisfying breakfast in a charming setting, Cafe Nola is definitely worth a visit.“
“Rosa was our server. She was very nice and attentive. The menu has many different and interesting options for the Sunday brunch. The food came quickly. The room we were in was close together with other tables, I don't particularly mind that, but you can hear everyone talking. The food was very good. Collectively we had the salmon, pork, scallops and egg salad sandwich. The French fries were great. The scallops were excellent as was everything else. All plates were empty. My only suggestion is have more vegetarian options. The quiche had bacon, the omelet had bacon, all salads have meat. We will definitely go back.“
