“What a great meal with fantastic service at The Tasting Room in Frederick Maryland.We were gifted a very generous gift card to this restaurant. We had eaten here in the past, but had the opportunity to head back here. We used OpenTable and booked our reservation several weeks in advance. Mostly because of our schedule, but we’re excited to go back.Our server was Jessica and she was probably one of the best servers we have had in the past two years. Extremely knowledgeable about the wines, and very strong on the menu selections. Professional and attentive. If I could give her six stars, I would.For dinner we started with a Black Martini and a Lily Pad. Jessica explained the drink to us so we went with it and was not disappointed. With dinner we had a bottle of Inglenook Zinfandel. Delicious.For food we started with the Panko Shrimp and the charcuterie board. The cheese selection was very good and the elk sausage was tasty. For main courses we all had the filet. Great presentation with oval trivets and cast iron plates with each filet. Tender and cooked to perfection with a side of béarnaise sauce which was some of the best I have ever had. So so good! You also received as a side dish potatoes au gratin. Very good! We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts for the table. For desserts Jessica recommended the “warm chocolate toffee Bundt cake”. It was so delicious. Could have eaten two! We also had the “lemon meringue parfait”. Light and tasty. We rounded out the meal with Peruvian Dark Roast Coffee. Outstanding.The restaurant is cozy and well decorated. Take the opportunity and look up at the beautiful ceilings that permeate throughout the restaurant. In addition, if you are seated next to a window look across the street at the “Angel” painting. So interesting.Overall, the meal and service were just outstanding. Yeah it is on the expensive side (but we had drinks, apps and dessert) but I will go back. It really was perfection and worth every penny.Parking: Parking is available across the street in a paid large parking garage. Several garages around.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on first floor so no steps but aisles are tight between tables.”
“We celebrated my son’s 17th birthday here and it did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and attentive - multiple people stopped by to fill our water throughout the evening. The decor was really nice with a variety of textures (wood, brick, fabrics, metal). The food was amazeballs. My son and I had the filet and my husband had the duck. And, because it was a celebration, we got 3 different desserts . The chocolate cake was so good, I dropped my fork. We will definitely be back!”

“Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.”
“I had the lunch crabcake sandwich and my husband had the grilled turkey Reuben. Both served with house starch : fried potato rounds. My crabcake was delicious! And we asked our server to bring fried oysters as appetizer since it wasn’t on the lunch menu and she said yes! The fried oysters were lightly breaded and delish! They have outdoor seating (around back) which is nice but we enjoyed our meal in the cool “dungeon”.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to take you to the dungeon level where we ate”
“Stopped in on my way through Frederick. Very nice atmosphere, very clean and inviting and the staff was great.Ordered the MD Cream of Crab soup and the Wicked pasta with shrimp. Both were excellent. The pasta is very filling. Be sure you are hungry.I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.”

“The BEST a authentic Italian food in Maryland - full stop. My Italian grandmother would eat here and be proud. Their handmade pasta texture is perfection. The carrot in their bolognese is the perfect mix of identifiable without being overbearing. The bureaus is texturally exceptional, and we order two orders of Arancini because my husband and I refuse to share them. RUN, Don’t walk… but save a table for me.”

“First time here, will definitely return. Authentic, fantastic food. Pho broth was a dream - balanced, rich and super fresh. Bahn mi sandwich / pork was moist, fresh, and the fixings were thoroughly on point. They make their own mayo/sauce and also they mix their own quatre epices / a basic spice used in Vietnamese cooking that often can be overwhelming. You can see the pride of food, and hospitality. Super clean bathrooms. I also noted frequent and thorough cleaning of restaurant surfaces. Friendly and warm service. Super generous in portions, and most other plates I was eyeing / while inhaling my own, looked delicious. If you travel through Frederick Md make this a must stop by place. We will definitely put this on our must return to, list.”

“It was the review for me that caught my attention, that’s why it’s very important to rate restaurants on the customer service and the quality of food. Me and my daughter visited yesterday and the wings and fries were delicious, we also tried the Atlantis dog, which is the chili and cheese hotdog. I love the fact the our food was still hot especially our fries were boxed in a brown box container which I love because the fries were still hot and not soggy even when we got home our fries were still not soggy and I love that. You got to try the Old bay wings and Parmesan garlic wings. Thank You Kevin for your Hospitality as well asking us how we want our chicken to be cooked regular or crispy! The Farm to Table menu is amazing with something for everyone! Our server, Michael S was knowledgeable and friendly and the night supervisor, Caitlynn, was great! Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. “My daughter and I had spent an afternoon in Frederick and wanted to try this place because I had heard of it before, so it was our first time being here and it was a very early dinner for us. I didn't realize how expensive dinner was the plate I was looking to order was $40 and I just couldn't justify that on that day because I had already spent so much money. The receptionist tried to make me go upstairs and then try to make me sit in some high chairs after I told her that I had a bad knee, so that was kind of annoying. But our waiter was a delight, and super friendly. While we were waiting for our dinner which was a salad and an order of poutine, a nice young man brought us over a sample of some soup. That soup was delicious! In fact everything we had was delicious including the French onion soup that I ordered. I had never had a french onion soup like that it was probably the best ever! We would definitely be back for lunch and a butterscotch creme brulee that I didn't get to order because I was stuffed and we had to run.”

Our server Adrianna was very kind and quick to take our order. There was only one little mix-up over a diet soda that's was quickly and kindly fixed by our server.I had the cinnamon roll crepes that were absolutely delicious. They were very sweet (which I was expecting). The dish itself was balanced. Just know the sweetness builds. I recommend a savory side dish to accompany it. Our favorites were the mini blackberry and cream cheese croissants but also enjoyed the morning bun. Customer service was excellent and while we waited in line and despite the limited choices, it was well worth it and we will definitely be back.”
“My family and I stopped at Mission BBQ in Frederick, MD to grab something to eat after our son's dentist appt on March 13th. We traveled 2 hours for his appt so we figured we owed ourselves some good food before hitting the road back home. And good food we had! My fiance and I eat baby back ribs every chance we get and we love trying new places. We are so glad we chose to stop at Mission BBQ! When we entered the restaurant we were kind of thrown off because you go to the counter, order your food, get your drinks, find a place to sit, and then wait for your name to be called then go get your food. It was a little worrisome at first, our first thought was we order ribs at the counter, no server?! We ordered and then in no time our name was called and a crew member helped my fiance bring it all to our table and we dug in... let me tell you something. If anyone reading this review has the chance to stop at Mission BBQ at any location, do not pass it up! Hands down the best baby back ribs we have EVER had!!! Talk about fall of the bone, juicy, great taste, and decent size! Our son had the salmon filet which was also delicious. Every crew member we encountered was pleasant and knowledgeable. As we were eating a young lady named Anita came along and stopped to check if our food was okay and if we needed anything. She was such a delight! She gave us some background on the restaurant and their food. How the restaurant came to be and how it is a family restaurant. She told us about the pit boss and how he goes in at all hours, on his own time, to check on the meat so it is always up to the restaurant's standards. We talked about how hard it is to find workers who care about what their serving, especially in the food business. After our conversation, we were packing up leftovers and Anita came back to our table with cards for each of us for a free sandwich at any location! Anita was so nice and she made a great meal into a wonderful experience all together, everyone did!!! We have to go back to Frederick to our son's dentist on April 4th and we already have plans to stop in and eat at Mission BBQ!!! This was probably the best experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Props to all of you working at Mission BBQ in Frederick MD! Keep up the great work! It really does make a difference to some of us!!!”

Taharka Bros is our favorite ice cream and thanks so this place we can indulge in our faves as often as we’d like (and keep the freezer stocked)! If you haven’t tried their ice cream, the Honey Graham is a MUST. My personal favorite is Chocolate Love- chocolate ice cream with an Oreo swirl. As close to heaven as it gets! ?”

“I brought my bike in for repair Saturday afternoon and met with Scott. After stating I was interested in bare bones rehab, he looked over the bike. He took the bike and called later that day with an itemization that would have the bike road ready. The price was reasonable so I gave the green light. The NEXT day I received a calll that the repairs had been completed and the bike was ready for pickup. The work was completed to specifications and the bike looked amazing. This bike shop/restaurant is cetainly a place to visit. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and the biscotti is great too. Please go and visit!!”

“We have used Tenth Ward multiple times for our team meetings and holiday parties, and I have attended many more events and meetings at their beautiful space.The historic wedding venue is woman-owned and features wall-to-wall exposed brick, large industrial windows, and beautiful original hardwood floors. It is on the second floor and requires stairs to access but it is worth the short climb.The staff is very responsive and easy to work with.In addition to business meetings I know they host weddings. “OH MY GOD, where do I begin?!! I have been to and worked at MANY restaurants throughout my life, and I have to say that this one is just about at the top of the list! First, the entire staff was friendly, hard working and on top of everything! Our server Maryann couldn't have been more sweet and attentive. You could tell that she genuinely loved what she does. Secondly, the food was AMAZING!!! Everything that we had was FANTASTIC! Several of us ordered the All You Can Eat. The oysters, clams, mussels and crab legs were so fresh, hot, plump and delicious!!!! The fried shrimp and hush puppies were hot, crispy and delicious!! The crab soup was EXCELLENT! The steak was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Chesapeake was INCREDIBLE and so big that we had to take home half of it. Even the drinks were great. I don't think I've ever been to a place that EVERYTHING was perfect! I was happy for 2 days afterwards just reliving how wonderful everything was. “I was introduced to this pizza truck at the Emmitsburg Farmers Market this past Friday afternoon. I don't like wood fired pizza but I sat next to them for several hours and finally the amazing smells coming from this truck got the better of me. I got the Alfredo 2.0 and it was everything the description said it would be. Absolutely incredible melding of flavors amd a perfect crust. The pizza was perfectly cooked but perhaps best of all was served at a temperature that I could eat almost immediately instead of like most places where pizza is served at the tempersture of molten lava. “My daughter and I had spent an afternoon in Frederick and wanted to try this place because I had heard of it before, so it was our first time being here and it was a very early dinner for us. I didn't realize how expensive dinner was the plate I was looking to order was $40 and I just couldn't justify that on that day because I had already spent so much money. The receptionist tried to make me go upstairs and then try to make me sit in some high chairs after I told her that I had a bad knee, so that was kind of annoying. But our waiter was a delight, and super friendly. While we were waiting for our dinner which was a salad and an order of poutine, a nice young man brought us over a sample of some soup. That soup was delicious! In fact everything we had was delicious including the French onion soup that I ordered. I had never had a french onion soup like that it was probably the best ever! We would definitely be back for lunch and a butterscotch creme brulee that I didn't get to order because I was stuffed and we had to run.”

Inside you're greeted by vintage everything... except the menu and people! We had the Chicken Club Tortilla Wrap and it was delicious- far better than wraps elsewhere with its fresh tasty ingredients. They serve coffee here too. Yummy latte served in real cups (not disposable) so you don't feel rushed and you do feel welcomed.Street parking and very close garage across the street. We'll be back! You should check it out.”

Having said that, Sogongdong@Frederick is equal if not better than many Korean restaurants in Korea serving tofu soup. In fact any dish Sogongdong House serves (eg bibimbab or japchae) tastes authentic- so you can choose with confidence.Pricing is really competitive, since I don't have to go back Korea to taste home food hehe. At this price it is a no-brainer for quality food. So when I get tired of the local food with simple x-y axis of sweet and salty as the only dimensions of flavor, I come here to do a palate indulgence and remind myself of the depth of flavor I am capable of appreciating. Seafood tofu soup is amazing. If I don't pay attention I end up sipping the soup and cross my eyes to stare into the abyss of warmth that my soul envelops around. Ambience is very casual as it is a food court, great for in-promptu family dinner and the kids are hugely entertained by a korean stationery store and robo-picker games. What they do, they do with supreme excellence. Pricing is most fair considering the generosity of the serving sizes; definitely a place to share a plate and not to feel bad about it. The "West of Santa Fe" salad hits the sweet spot of what they are best at; Tex-Mex and California cuisine with an upscale feel. Good selection of craft beers too for happy hour or maybe an early dinner before a Frederick Keys game, as we have done many times in the past. Don't let the business park location and industrial feel fool you. Very obviously the restaurant is run by foodies. One note: sub-optimal place for a business lunch or for (say) senior citizens despite the great accessibility: its austere and thus, loud inside. One can come back here dozens of times and not be bored.”
“So we had a fantastic time here while visiting my sister in law. It’s right along the River so it’s pretty and the all windows layout brings in a lot of light. There is a family friendly area around the corner so whether you’re looking for a kid friendly spot or a laid back date night it covers both. They walk you through the ordering process and you can grab half beers or whatever you feel like from the wal taps as it’s self service. They have an excellent section of beers and being able to grab smaller pours of the heavy ones makes it easier to grab a lot of samples (and a great conversation starter if you’re on a date). They also have wine, cocktails and NA stuff that my pregnant wife was able to enjoy. The food is not your typical bar food. We got the tater tots, the artichoke flatbread, pizza, the bison burger bowl which was freakin’ amazing and these spicy brisket sliders on pretzel buns that were fantastic. Nothing was overpowering, the flavors were nice. It’s comfort food but well done. I need to try the wings next time but I’m confident they would be properly done. As a random bonus we met the owners and they were just really good people who made sure to stop by and check in with us. 10/10 will come here again, worth a stop if you’re in the area or even making a trip in this direction.”

Plant based all vegan restaurants are very rare and I did not want to miss my opportunity. I selected the Falafel Bowl and it did not disappoint! Yes, the falafel were a little on the dry side because it is baked and not fried. I enjoyed the healthier version and the taste was very good. I did not like that she pulled lettuce greens from a container and placed it in my bowl, note that I typically rinse all of my greens before eating. I still remain hesitant about the cleanliness of the place. However, I would return and recommend this restaurant. The food was very fresh and the taste was good as well. I like supporting local. The food was much fresher than anything I have had at a chain establishment.”

“This place has the BEST Pho, food! I have been telling all my friends and family about this place. Though, I do want to share an odd experience we had 2 nights ago. We were a party of 3, all ordered Pho soup and summer rolls. We got our food but had to ask several times for the sprouts and peppers that come with it. After the 3rd request, the waitress said, well we don't always give that because we are running low. WHAT? First, who orders Pho and doesn't expect to get the sprouts? Second, if they were running low, isn't that something she should have disclosed when we ordered? I understand there may be a few people who don't use the condiments, but in that case, ask?! When we said the 4th time we wanted the sprouts etc, she definitely had an attitude. We had to ask multiple times for water, honey for our tea. The service sometimes leaves a little to be desired, and the wait times are not often accurate, but the food is excellent!”

The service there is fast I haven't had difficulty getting food even during rush hours. All of the burgers even the more plain ones taste less than extraordinary. I will say I am not a fan of the sweet potato fries but it is just cause they are sweet.”

“This was a very good experience with well prepared and presented food. First course of lentil and chorizo soup had depth of flavor lots of chorizo. Main course of vegetarian jambalaya was well seasoned and the spicy tomatoe sauce on the grilled eggplant was particularly good. My dessert of dark chocolate cake was the equal of any fine dining I can recall. Highly recommend this place, it's great for our Frederick students to get this kind of experience. “Stopped in on a Sunday late afternoon in January. They have plenty of beer selections and seltzer options. I had the blood orange IPA and thought it was good. The bartenders were attentive and personable. The atmosphere was easygoing. There was music which was nice. The little creek is just outside the doors - in January the water was frozen but I imagine it is very nice in the warmer months to just be outside enjoying the weather. There was a food truck out in the parking lot - I didn’t eat anything. Parking was easy enough but the lot was small. It might be full in better weather but I’m sure there is street parking nearby. They are dog-friendly here and there were multiple well behaved dogs inside. I’d stop in again if in the area.”

“I was a little skeptical at attending a party here for my granddaughter, but i was surprised in the BEST way. It was clean, efficient, safe and the staff was top tier. The set up with the wristbands instead of the old system of tokens and physical tickets makes all the difference. The games were fantastic for the kids, the screen and floor displays added another level and even the food was good. The standout of the day was the party person assigned to us, her name was Lily and she made our visit phenomenal. She went above and beyond, she handled the timing, explained everything to us and ensured that our event ran smoothly from start to finish. We had an wonderful day and now that we know Chuckie Cheese is fantastic we will be bringing the kids back for regular play on weekends. Cost wise its much better than many of the other play place options and we felt much safer here than other places due to the entry/exit set up. Price wise for parties and for regular play, you cant beat it. For anyone who is hesitant thinking that its the old, tired version we affiliated with the 2000s, think again. This is the best of the old school but with a totally fresh, clean and better Chuck E Cheese.Dietary restrictions: There is an expanded menu now with many options for those who have allergies or dietary restrictions. The guacamole was well seasoned and refreshing. Unfortunately, the paellas were just about average. The rice was overcooked, borderline mushy. The flavor could have been a little bit more pronounced as well. Drink wise, we really enjoyed the selection the restaurant had to offer. I found the margaritas to be one of the better ones served out there.”

“Staying at the Hampton Inn Frederick Buckeystown Pike who would have thought it had so much to offer. This is a large property suited for business conferences, out door spacious pool with outdoor patio and firepit while enjoying the fresh air with my drink from the Beacon restaurant. Yes this Hampton Inn even has a full restaurant and bar on site open on Friday and Saturday's until 12am. Food and service was wonderful. I will be coming back to visit on business to see the great staff. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Keep up the great work!”

“Love the vibes here. Very chill and laid back. They also play great music. Clean, well-lit environment and the staff are all very friendly. The food is good too. My friend and I had the calamari appetizer, and the steak & cheese + chicken tacos entrees. Both were good, I plan to come back with a larger group next time. Huge bonus is that they’re open late. We arrived after 9pm, closer to 10 and were served our meals which were both great. The waiter (who was so kind and attentive) told us that they do brunch some days with bottomless mimosas. Can’t wait to come back for that.”

Last night, we ordered our usual to go order, they forgot both of the sauces and the food just wasn't the usual quality that we expect. I ordered the hibachi lobster and scallops, I had about 1/2 lobster tail and 3 scallops.... yes, that's correct, there were only 3 scallops in my order. I have ordered this before and I have gotten more than three in the past. The sushi was good as always. I just feel like for the price we paid, the food could have been better. They didn't look that busy when I picked up my order.”

“Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.”

This was for delivery.Because of how much I liked it I went on a day I was off and dined in by myself to see how the place felt. It has the classic “American Chinese restaurant” feel to it which I expected the white China plates with blue details etc etc.Fantastic service, good sized portions, and great flavors. This place has become one of my favorite places for delivery during my work week. I had paid over the phone with my CC and told them I would tip cash, someone else signed for me and didn’t tell me they had arrived and let them leave without me giving a tip. The business called and asked if I had wanted to do a tip on my card and I had zero issue with them calling me. I appreciate their service and that didn’t bother me considering I wasn’t able to give him a cash tip.Recommendations -Szechuan wontons,Steamed dumplings,Orange beef,Kung Pao Chicken (less onions),Egg rolls,Moo Shi Pork.-update-The ownership has changed hands. I prefer sterile clean lines and no clutter. But, I can appreciate that was the vibe of the place and decided to have an open mind. Plant based all vegan restaurants are very rare and I did not want to miss my opportunity. I selected the Falafel Bowl and it did not disappoint! Yes, the falafel were a little on the dry side because it is baked and not fried. I enjoyed the healthier version and the taste was very good. I did not like that she pulled lettuce greens from a container and placed it in my bowl, note that I typically rinse all of my greens before eating. I still remain hesitant about the cleanliness of the place. However, I would return and recommend this restaurant. The food was very fresh and the taste was good as well. I like supporting local. The food was much fresher than anything I have had at a chain establishment.”

“We had a wonderful dinner at B. Andersons! I ordered the oxtails over rice and cabbage, Amy had the meatloaf, candied yams and Mac & cheese. The food was SPECTACULAR! The oxtails were the best I’ve ever had! It’s obvious that most folks order takeout, but there’s something to be said for eating in. It’s almost as if you’re a part of what’s going on, and we made a few new friends tonight, and that’s always special! Portions are very generous, and I can’t wait to come back and try another entree and some of the other sides!”

Chicken "Sando" Jr was just the right size, juicy and super flavorful, rivaling any other chicken sandwich. And bubble teas!
