“Not sure why this DD/BR has bad reviews, I've never had any problems. But then again I always get the same things. It's either glazed munchkins or a banana split or banana royale. Sometimes the munchkins could use a little more glaze. Some tend to be a little naked at times but I sneak those in my daughter's bag and take a glazed one out of hers LOL (don't judge me). They always seem to be friendly, though not as friendly as the one further down going towards Six Flags by the library, but still nice people.“

“First time here at Dessert Junkie. This spot is nothing short of ADORABLE. The owner Alexis has one of the best customer service experience I’ve experienced in a long time. She let us sample anything we wanted and was very patient as we were undecided. I’ve found my new dessert home. Now the desserts….THE BOMB and the variety is exceptional. I’m coming back. Oh and we even got to tour the kitchen.“

“Upon entering the facility, I was showing my mom what cookies were available for the week, waiting for the kiosk when one of the employees asked if we would like help. They took our order and showed us the beautiful cookies. I had a jammy heart cookie that was sweet and delicious!“

“Came to the area for a different restaurant but they were closed. Happen to find this place within walking distance. Things happen for a reason. Welcoming staff, quaint dining area and amazing food. Will definitely be a stop on our next ride out.“

“The staff is always nice at this location they just need more people came on a Saturday they only had one guy working the line was long but he did a good job. I forgot to get his name he had a great attitude and took the order and made ice cream had the line moving quickly. I had the best Mango Gelati it was so good I will be returning soon!!! ?“

“Awesome place. Great customer service and cleanliness is stellar. I grew up eating Baskin & Robbins ice cream. I even worked at one. Their ice cream doesn't compare in the slightest to the selection the Ice Cream Sweet Shop has to offer. Even my mom has taken notice, and she's a Butter Pecan connoisseur. Lol. Every chance she can, she gets her fix from The Sweet Shop.“

“As my wife and I approached the store, we saw it was in a creepy looking dark corridor. It had no lights except those from the store. When we got close to the corridor, it suddenly didn't look dark. That's a trick on the eyes due to distance! It's located in "the mall" which is located in the corner of a small shopping area. This is a small family business. They sell ice cream, paletas, Latino prepackaged snacks, and cold drinks. They have a lot of unusual flavors in their frozen treats. Flavors like chicle, nuez, nance, pinon, tequila, etc. Paletas are Mexican frozen treats on a little stick. It can be made with fruit, herbs, spices, or ice cream. Some flavors are a combination of these. All of the frozen products in this store are bought from vendors. There was some delay in ordering because the woman in charge spoke only a little English. A young lady who was helping her, spoke English well. She didn't know all of the ingredients in many of the flavors. So, understanding Spanish would be useful. Searching the names of the flavors on the internet will give you the main ingredients. We bought 2 ice creams and 4 paletas.1) Gansito ice cream It was vanilla ice cream with swirls of chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup. It had shards of chocolate and pieces of strawberries. It had good flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. This was much better than neopolitan ice cream! Gansito is a Mexican snack cake that has a chocolate coated sponge cake filled with white creme and strawberry jelly. I've never had a Gansito, but this was very delicious!2) Raspberry cheesecake ice cream It was buttery cheesecake ice cream with swirls of sweetened raspberry puree. It had bits of raspberry and tiny raspberry seeds. It was rich and creamy with a mild sweetness.3) Tequila paleta It was like an ice milk with a light tequila flavor with a mild sweetness. I can't say that I loved this. It was so-so.4) Rum raisin paleta It was like an ice milk with a moderate smooth rum flavor. The raisins were all clumped together at the top. It would have been better if the raisins were distributed evenly because the sweet raisins went well with the rum. An almost great flavor.5) Piñon paleta Piñon is the edible seed from a pine tree, aka pine nut. The flavor is mildly nutty. This paleta had a mild nutty and coconut milk flavor. It smelled like oily coconut. Not appealing at all!6) Nuez paleta Nuez means nut in Spanish and pecan in Mexican. This had a light butter pecan ice cream flavor. We enjoyed it because it wasn't too buttery or sweet. The service was helpful, patient, and polite. The store was clean. There were 2 tables and 4 chairs. No restrooms for the public. There's plenty of free parking around the area. They have at least 27 ice cream flavors and 24 paleta flavors. The price for 4 small scoops of ice cream was $5. The price for each paleta was $3. Not cheap, but some are worth the price. We'll be trying more flavors. The Latino snacks looked interesting also.“

“Came to La Neveria Michoacana for a sweet treat and opted for a banana split. I chose 2 vanilla and 1 tres leches scoops topped with M&M's, peanuts, and wafers. It was delicious! The homemade ice cream stood out with its quality taste. I'll definitely return for more.“

“Yummy yummy to my tummy. There is nothing bad to say about Rita's Italian Ice.The staff at this location are less than enthusiastic and usually have stepped away and have the windows shut in between taking orders. The parking for this location is very tight and congested.Nevertheless, I'll be back over and over again because I need my dose of Rita's.“

“Maryland Dairy has been serving ice cream on the University of Maryland for 100 years. Formerly located in the Turner Building, its name has been simplified, and it is now conveniently and logically located in the food court of the Stamp Student Union. We were planning to have lunch after leaving campus, but we had to have ice cream first! The colors and names of the choices were attractive. The purple was actually blueberry with vanilla cookie pieces and cream cheese icing swirl. It was named after W.S. Arbuckle, a former university professor and author of a definitive book on ice cream. We also tried Terpresso, a double strength coffee ice cream with crushed Oreos and a caramel swirl named after the Terps or Terrapins sports teams. The Sapienza, which we were told is the customer favorite, was a creamy, rich vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chips and chunks of chocolate fudge brownie, a smooth chocolate swirl, and creme de cacao. In recognition of Jim Henson, a prominent alumnus, and his Muppets the green mint ice cream with chocolate chips was named Kermit’s Kiss. I only regret not bringing an insulated bag so I could take home some pints from the freezer.“

“Delicious cookies and ice cream, great customer service!Nothing better than warm cookies fresh out of the oven! I've had problems with delivery a few times, where some of my order was missing, but that's on the delivery service, not Insomnia Cookies. Whenever that's happened, I've just called the store, and they've promptly taken care of it, either by re-sending out my order or issuing a refund.“

“I personally don't know anyone who dislikes Rita's. Back in my college days I remember how my friends and I would run over from our dorms to get the Spring special. Not sure if they do that now, but on occasion I do still get an urge for a (small) gelati -- which is both custard and Italian Ice layered in one cup. I haven't disliked any, but I usually gravitate to the Mint Choco Chip cream ice and ANY of the custards. Just depends on what's available.One thing I also like is that in addition to the standard nutrition facts charts, they share a chart that lists all the flavors and which ones do and do not contain dyes and gluten. That's... really awesome. The parking lot for this location is really tight... and there's a bench or two, but ultimately not too much space to hang. Prepare to grab and go... and escape that parking lot haha!“

“I really like this particular SweetFrog location in Maryland more than the others. They have a great selection of yummy toppings, and I've never been let down. The place is also very clean, and all the frozen yogurt flavors are available. On 2-21, the customer service was exceptional. The cashier was super friendly and helpful.“

“We had already been to Rita's once this season. But had to go for first day of spring. Both people who are working were swamped but they still were being very kind and patient working with all of those that were in line. Some of the new flavors this year are delicious including the sour watermelon patch kid “

“Nice hot and humid day.... I scream, you scream ... we all scream for ice cream! This is a walk up window ; where you order and pay and they call your name when it's ready. There are a couple benches and tables to sit and eat at. I ordered a waffle cone with butter pecan ice cream. They definitely didn't skimp on the pecans. Pecans galore in my ice cream. . Hahaha more pecans than ice cream actually and I was okay with that. Usually places skimp on the pecans and only give you the cream. My other half ordered mango sorbet.... Light and refreshing and hit the spot. Nice treat on a hot day! Parking is shared with other restaurants and stores nearby ; on the plus side it's free at least.“

“While visiting UMD, my daughter and I wanted some ice cream and decided to try Class 520, Location is great, very close to campus. We both ordered bubble tea and ice cream , everything was awesome. Portions are large. Prices are good, service was very nice. Will definitely return.“

“I visited the Bowie location last week, and was assisted by Kim. She was awesome! The customer service was top-notch! She created my ice cream mixture just as requested and even engaged in polite conversation while she prepared my order. The delicious ice cream was the cherry on top of my visit!“

“There was one young lady working by her self, with a store full of customers. She remain professional kind and very polite the whole time my husband and I waited in line. She deserves a raise a gift card or something. The man a head of me offered her a tip but she declined. So humble her work ethic to be a teenager is beyond impressive!!!!!“

“New to the area, I have visited over 10 different Rita's (multiple times) throughout the DMV but this location by far is my Favorite. It was clean, the staff was pleasant and they had all of my favorite water ice flavors. Thank you for the great experience.“

“Great place and super great service, the line is always long but everything there is fresh and made to order. It's inside the food court and it's a must go to for something freshing to drink and the ice cream is awesome and the service personal are nice and helpful“
