Much of it is Farm to Table using local ingredients and even the fresh flowers on the table are beautiful. The Carbonara has been elevated to almost mythical status and to be tried to believe with the fresh egg yolk nestled into the fresh tagliatelle, crispy guanciale, fresh peas and shaved truffles. The desserts are all spectacular as well, wine list has everything you want and the drinks are as elevated as the fare. They book out quick but worth the wait.“

“I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

But appearantly they have no vegan buns even for the bean patty (which is appearantly a vegan patty). The employee gets 5 stars for being so helpful, kind and aware for us. However it's frustrating that the seemingly vegan option has one thing non vegan and it isn't labeled as such for clarity (which is very easy to do) Especially since vegan food often isn't an allergen-centric food decision. “This was our first time at Green Elephant and we can't wait to go back! Finding a restaurant with lots of vegan options is difficult, so when we discover one and it's great, we get excited! We went for lunch, getting there right when they opened and by the time we left an hour and change later, they were completely full. We had an app, the king oyster mushroom tempura, a noodle curry, and a stir fry. All were amazing. The atmosphere was very nice as well. We didn't get any drinks, but they had a really creative cocktail menu - we'll be back for dinner and drinks next time!“

The prices are high, but so are the quality of the food, drinks, service, and surroundings. We celebrated our daughter's master's degree completion at the Library, and it was memorable from start to finish. All of our food was either good or great.Note: you have to go down a flight of stairs to access restrooms. Amanda was an excellent server. If you want a good red wine that doesn't break the bank (by itself, anyway), the Valpolicella from the Veneto region of Italy was stellar.“

“On a cold weekday, I decided to head to the Soupery to satiate a craving for chicken noodle. The location is wonderfully walkable if you work in downtown Portsmouth. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful when they ran out of the full amount of one ordered soup. The owner and servers were friendly, helpful, fast, made great suggestions, and repeatedly asked if everything was tasting okay. We did the $60 per person 4 course meal for the Spring Menu. You have 3 options to choose from for each course. I had the beet salad, cauliflower, gnocchi, and churros. Everything was so fresh, flavorful and clearly cooked with love. “This is by far my favorite coffee and breakfast spot in Ogunquit. The blueberry scone with a delicious cup of coffee is my go to meal. We make it a point to visit every time we are in Ogunquit...this year we stopped in 3/5 days we were in town and each time the blueberry scones were sold out because they are that good and we also got there a little later in the morning. On our last day in town I woke up early to place my order online and finally got my blueberry scone fix!! The other days we stopped in I enjoyed their delicious lemon/cherry scone, chocolate chip scone and also an egg and cheese sandwich on their multigrain bread...all were super yummy! The staff is also fantastic - friendly and helpful. There's a good amount of seating indoors and even more spots to sit outside. You might have to be a little patient looking for parking if you drive there, but it is so worth it!Vegetarian options: they have very yummy and generous sized avocado mash on delicous multi grain bread“

I wish I was in Portsmouth for weeks bc I was Devastated I could not try the whole menu. What did I eat? The Havana and the Calli wrap and a Pumpkin bagel. What made this place my go to… THE GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE OPTIONS! The staff were so knowledgeable and were able to make whatever I fancied with GF wraps or bagels (that actually hold the fillings and are mighty tasty) and once home, it reheated fantastically.
