“Enthusiasms and labors of love do not always, alas, translate to success. Fortunately, in the case of Sameday, it does! There are no bad beers here. There aren't even any mediocre, fill-in-the-menu beers. I'm not a big lagers fan, but the Someday lagers are well worth the pint, as are the Czech style pilsner. And then there are the IPA's, which are fantastic; and the stouts, a pleasant oatmeal stout or a no holds barred Midnight. The meads are just as excellent. (Except for the Sunday Afternoon, which you don't want to try, because that will leave more for me. Seriously. Try the April First.) No food. No distractions. Just beer (and mead) done very excellently well.”

“It use to be be a favorite restaurant. After the renovations it has changed. I am stating from a top notch restaurant now everything has changed. Quality, wait staff, noise level. Everything was wrong when we went there. I know they have to factor cost and profit and this is what was best. Not for us, won’t be back”

“Ferlito's is my absolute favorite Italian Restaurant. Great service, Great food, Great atmosphere. On this visit, I had Lasagna (best I've ever had). My wife and son shared the Chicken Piccata (who are we kidding, he ate the entire dish). The quality and flavor of the food was excellent as usual. Andrew, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance is that of a small, romantic Italian Bistro. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.”

“Recently got a carry out from the Clinton Township location I ordered a bowl. It was very salty which I can only attribute to the rice since it’s chicken based the rest was grilled pork and fresh vegetables. I gave up half way thru just couldn’t handle the salty taste. Maybe they should sample it before serving?”

“This place has pizza and sandwiches that are to die for! If you get lucky and they have lasagna in the cold case, get it! It's the best I've had! Oh yeah, the pizza and hoagies are fantastic as well. I think I've tried them all now. Worth the trip.”

“First time to try Grosse Pointe Woods-CRISPELLI'S Pizza (and a salad) just a few days ago. EVERYTHING was superb! (love the 'peppadew' peppers!) Equally terrific was the 'Mediterranean' Salad with Very Tasty Lemon Oregano dressing! SO nice to find a 'different' dressing and this Lemon Oregano was TRULY special. Everyone on the phone was SO nice!. We will be BACK! THANKS!”

“This China Chef on Mack Avenue in the block adjacent to Grosse Pointe Woods City Offices and the Police Department has the most consistently delicious shrimp fried rice I have ever eaten. Hot and flavorful and moist AND none of those prematurely harvested “baby shrimp”!! These folks serve you REAL SHRIMP fried rice!! like the pros.”

“This review is way over due. What can i say but WOW!!! Lyla makes quality food! QUALITY! The Tabbouleh has a perfect flavor. I love lemon and the flavor is just right. And, Lyla and staff take the time to take off each parsley leaf off of the stem!!!!!! Who does that? I think of myself as a soup connoisseur of soup! Grew up in a Polish family with all kinds of homemade soup. Let me tell you that the chicken ginger soup made on Wednesday is over the top scrumptiously delicious. Really! The other soups too are very good but the chicken ginger soup is my favorite. The hummus is some of the best I’ve tasted as well as the garlic spread/dip WOWZA. If you like garlic this is for you and goes well alone on pita or grape leaves. Recently I got grilled eggplant topped with lamb. Yep, sure was yummy. “I had the best acai bowl ever from here. I still think about it often. When I picked up my order, the atmosphere was amazing, the staff were kind when I asked about wifi, and that bowl was just so good. I'm hoping the next time I order from here, the bowl will be just as great. That was my second time ever having an acai bowl and first time from Beyond.”

“Love this place! Close to home so we stop in pretty frequently to check out the latest flavors. The new remodel looks awesome and definitely brings out a castle vibe. There is now a space for people to have game nights and host events as well. Another great feature is the amount of vegan & gluten free options available. The owner is great and really brings the whole place together!”

“Ordered a yellow birthday cake for my mentor’s birthday. It was a crowd pleaser. The icing was a great texture and not too sweet, and the cake itself was SO moist and flavorful. So many people tried it and said that it was some of the best birthday cake they’ve ever tried. The cupcakes were OK - not as good as the cake - but still decent. I probably wouldn’t get those again but that cake was a real winner. Dr. T even told me to write a good review because he was so pleased. Will be coming back here for more birthday cakes!!! Such a cute vibe too.”

This cafe only uses the best and freshest of ingredients, so be prepared to love your experience here. Make sure you try the sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) and soups. The sandwiches are large enough to share and the soup is hearty.”
