“I have not been to an A&W drive up in a while. I was so disappointed not to have a window tray with a frosty mug of root beer. Just the standard cup with a plastic lid and straw. Maybe that is the way it is anymore at the driveups at A&W. Too bad. Tastes the same but not the same, you know.“

My teenage daughter was unhappy with the choice that she made and the waitress seen the disappointment on her face. It wasn't big enough or didnt look fulfilling, so the waitress asked her if she would like something else and of course she did ( smh teenagers) she came right out and she was happy that was very kind of her of you ask me. No charge for the other dish which made my wallet happy too. “I passed The Hut a few months ago & have been wanting to try it. Well, today was the day. I was a little surprised to see the parking lot fairly full on a rainy Friday, but once I went inside, I saw why. Yes, the place is a little worn down, with tape patching the booths. But I think it's because they are busy and have a lot of customers, so they don't have a lot of time to spend on decor -- although, there are signs and photos scattered throughout the restaurant to look at. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. I've never been there before, but I was treated just as nicely as the numerous regulars who were there. It is apparent that the young women who are the servers truly enjoy their job, their customers and each other -- and I made sure to mention it to them as I left. On to the food. Traditional diner fare, which I love. I got the slider special, expecting 1) just one burger and 2) that it would be small. Nope, these were good sized burgers, and I could only eat one. I chose onion rings (which I almost always prefer to fries -- getting in the veggies, ya know ;) ) and, as others have said, they were REALLY good. I also mentioned THAT to the server, and she said they are hand battered. I left feeling like, well, I'd been given a warm hug on a chilly day. I will be adding The Hut to my rotation of restaurants.“

“My mom and I stopped in to pick up a carryout after running errands. Wow! The service was incredible. The cashier/waitress was friendly and took our order right away. She was cheerful and polite. Within a few minutes our order was ready to go. The other waitress walked out to-go order over to us. Very good customer service and our lunch was fantastic, hot and fresh. This is great to know since we're over in the area quite frequently. Plus, I saw in the cooler they had slices of cake and pie that looked beyond delicious. “The place is busy on Wednesday @ 1 p.m.I was greeted quickly and by a friendly woman, shown to a seat immediately.I'd planned to get a couple of Coneys but saw the little display for Lenten specials. It had walleye on it so I never even picked up the regular menu, just ordered the sandwich straight away.While I awaited my order,I noticed several servers greeting & conversing with what were obviously regular customers. Always a good sign.My sandwich was very nice, lightly breaded and hot. I need to come back and have the dinnerThe floor was a bit sticky in spots, especially in the men's room. “Was looking for a new place to grab a quick snack before going to the movies, and Sidecar Slider Bar did not disappoint! We stuck to the shareable menu because we planned on eating a ridiculous amount of popcorn, and the items we picked were amazing! We went with the waffle truffle parmesan fries, roasted balsamic and blue cheese Brussel sprouts, and southwest egg rolls. The truffle fries were absolutely hands down the best parmesan truffle fries I have had, and I have had them at a few different establishments. They were hot, fresh, big, and I loved that they were tossed in a truffle oil AND covered with a parmesan truffle sauce instead of just a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The Brussel sprouts were really good. They also come with bacon, but we aren't pork eaters, so we ordered them without, but they were still awesome! The balsamic and blue cheese crumble complimented the crispy Brussel sprouts well. Last but not least , the southwest egg rolls. They came with a side of sour cream and a zesty spicy ranch type dressing. They were great, stuffed with the perfect amount of black beans, corn, chicken, cheese, and spices. When they say shareable, they mean it because those three dishes had the two of us extremely full and needing a brisk walk before heading to the movies to fill up on movie theater treats! In all, it was a great new restaurant experience that I will definitely return to have. The wait staff was awesome, and the place was clean, and the vibes were great.
