“This restaurant is top notch! From the minute you walk in to the minute you leave you'll experience first class service, friendly smiles, and impeccable food. Apps included Reuben truffles and pot stickers. Both were ok. I had the braised beef with vegetable of the day, linguine and added a scallop. Beef was fork tender and scallop was to die for! Vegetable of the day was your average mixed veg and linguine was so-so; butter cheese sauce was broken and sort of gritty. Another party member had jumbo shrimp with red potatoes and upgraded to grilled asparagus. They were the biggest jumbo shrimp I've ever seen. Dish was given rave reviews. Last guest had the special of the night: blackened halibut with mixed veg and linguine. Halibut was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Dessert included their signature torte and white cake layered with strawberries and cream. Torte was fabulous. Unfortunately the cake was less than sub-par. Overall, this place is a hidden gem in downtown Lake Elmo. Highly recommend. Atmosphere is elegant and classy.“

“Great Caribbean food with a comfortable atmosphere that makes me want a Margarita as I walk in, the Yucatán Stew is the best thing I have had in a long time, (it might be Spicy) to some but the heat and flavor balance nicely to me, with great service and the food like it is no wonder you might have to wait for a seat it's totally worth it!“

“Amazing food. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and was impressed with the flavor. Not over or under cooked and full of flavor. The restaurant gives you cheese bread and with the main entree, garlic bread. Both prepared and executed perfectly. My co driver order the raspberry cheesecake and said it was amazing. “We have passed by Phil’s Tara for years, and always said “I really want to try that place”. Well, today we did, and it was simply divine. We don’t get out on date night often, but when we do, we want to try new things; oysters were our first endeavor. Out waiter, Jackson, gave us the entire 4-11 on exactly how to throughly enjoy oysters, and we ordered more after. “We ate on the 2nd floor balcony tonight and everything was absolutely amazing! We were greeted the second we walked thru the doors, given advice on the best pace to sit, and our server, Thomas, was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We ordered the wagyu steak and butternut risotto with blue crab cakes and Caesar salad to start. The food was perfect! The service was incredible, at the atmosphere was homey and romantic at the same time. 10/10 will recommend and we will be back!!“

“Finally made it across the river to Nova today. My visit left me in the state of "how many times were you told to get here... & kept saying...mehh... I will? Well today did not disappoint! I loved the small brunch cocktail menu, not overwhelming and some great options, the bloody with dill pickle ice was very tempting! I opted for the Knob Creek Colab Sour, it was delicious & not too sweet so I sucked it down in two sips! It paired perfectly w hanging out w buddies on the patio! I like that he patio had options of small square tables, round tables and picnic tables w umbrellas! There's a small parking lot, that if it's full you can easily park along the Coulee curb. Boomin Barbecue has residency and w the Libations for Everyone podcast recording today I opted for the Knob Creek burger, "Smoked & Seared Burger, American Cheese, Smoked Pork Belly, Bourbon Braised Onions, Pickles, Knob Creek Aioli on a Sesame Potato Bun". I'm sorry, correction: the DELICIOUS Knob Creek burger!!! The bar was comfortable and spacious, read: you weren't touching legs w the chair next to you. You can see the two bathrooms from the bar, they're not tucked away in some corner. I like that there is a garage door open to the spacious patio. I was able to have a few words w the friendly owner. I may have drug my feet to have my inaugural visit, but I am positive there will be no delay on my next visit. Thanks Nova for such a fun, comfortable and delicious afternoon, cheers!“

“This is a great classic style Italian restaurant. The kind of place that brings out bread ? before the meal in this keto friendly world. We really enjoyed our experience. I had the Eggplant ? Parmesan, and the wife had spaghetti ? and meatballs. She ended up with leftovers as the portions are generous. I did not. Highly recommend if you enjoy Italian food.“

“My husband and I came to Stillwater for our anniversary. We luckily found this little dive bar while we were looking for something fun to do. All the restaurants and bars down town didn't really suit us and were packed. They have pool and darts and big screen tvs to watch the games. The bartender was awesome and kept our glasses full despite the fact he had to cover the whole bar by himself. 100% will be going back next time we are in town.“

“It's a very open bar and they have some TV's to watch sports. They had a band playing the night I was there and it's nice that they have bands. There is room to dance if a band is playing. The food was good, comparable to most bar food. It's wheelchair accessible. They had a cover charge when the band played. Definitely a fun place!“

“Great group of folks here at the VFW. The accomodations here are extensive with a full service lounge upstairs and a large room downstairs for larger gatherings. Great for a wedding reception. There's an elevator that accesses every floor and is handicap accessible. My band plays here and we always are appreciated and have a good time.“

“Their specials are amazingly low priced (as is their regular menu). Love their Coney Dogs (on special 3 days a week for $8.50 for 2 dogs and fries) and the M-F burger basket for $8. This place is a classic bar, the oldest continuously operating bar in Minnesota I believe. Decor is classic, has a tin ceiling, classic beer signs and the like. It can get really busy at times, super crowded l, as a random Saturday where I went in for Coney Dogs- the place was overflowing with bikers standing all over the place. It can also get really loud- I felt like I probably got hearing damage from the raucous noice levels of the bikers. The place is great overall. Staff is friendly, decent selection of beers mostly focused on people pleasing domestics and some craft beers (they are in the Pub Pass too). Check it out for some tasty bar food, just be aware you may have to change your mind and walk across the street to Mac's if the place is elbow to elbow busy.“

“Love this place for grabbing a drink and having that small town feel, also very cheap!The only thing that I’ve noticed is that sometimes it feels like the regulars are prioritized.. when I’m standing in line for a drink just to grab two more canned beers.. but it takes almost 10 minutes cause the bartender is chit chatting with everybody at the bar, it felt odd.. but nonetheless, we come here regularly.“

I have no idea what she was doing to have taken so long to ask for the beer and a menu. I was famished. I ordered from a young man and asked which he recommended, the steak sandwich or burgers, he said burger. I ordered the $17.00 Forager Smash with onion rings. The sauce was funky tasting “mayonnaise truffle” and the burger a little too well done and dried out for my taste. I asked for medium rare and expected a juicy burger. Ya, for $17 bucks I want what I ask for! When I am famished almost anything tastes good, but not this. I am no expert on truffle mayo, so maybe that threw me off. If it was made wrong or spoiled, I wouldn’t know the difference, but I won’t order that again.One man band was pretty good playing his guitar and singing. If I had money to lose, I may have gambled or bought some pull tabs.I will go back for a weekend eve with my adult kids, and think they’ll like the vibe. The bar area appears mostly clean, but I didn’t walk around to see everything or use the restroom. There are two levels and I had a view of the St Croix River, the one man band, and everyone coming in and going out. I liked my seat at the bar choice a lot!The bill came and I added a 23% tip, but only the meal portion appeared to be deducted from my bank account. Not sure what happened there, but will definitely be back and make up for that soon.I’m gonna try the steak sandwich next time! Sit in the same spot! Appreciate the atmosphere and local hospitality! “This is a great local tavern with a sporty/fun vibe and tasty food. The loaded Brussel sprouts are unbelievable, and the Reuben is actually a chunk of roasted corned beef that brings this tasty sandwich to a whole new level. Cold beer, free popcorn, and a great drink selection are a bonus. Don't hesitate to check this hidden gem out!“

“My daughter and I had a fantastic experience at the Lumberjack. The man who worked there that day was extremely helpful and kind. We were specifically there for the axe throwing. We had already eaten and only got non alcoholic drinks, so I can't speak to the food their, but if the food quality is as good as the service we receive, it will be good.“

“Barkers has always treated us well for a great bar food meal. They have the best wings in Hudson. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is one of the best things on the menu as well though!
