“If you've ever thought to yourself "I could go for something sweet" TWO SUGARS is a must. First thing I noticed walking in was good music. Paired with Great coffee, and what may be the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It was worth the visit.“
“I come here frequently after getting groceries, one lady remembers me now and knows exactly what I order. I tried something new and it was delicious, I went to reorder it today and I accidentally ordered a tea instead of a latte. I did not like the tea and they made me a new drink even though it was my fault. I love this little shop! The Brown Sugar Boba Latte is my favorite. It is a small shop in downtown, so there arent a lot of places to park, which is to be expected. Good thing I walk everywhere. :)“
“Got The Standard breakfast sandwich & the Sausage & egg sandwich for breakfast, took a chipotle turkey wrap to go for lunch. ABSOLUTELY delicious. all of it. 10/10 would recommend and will go out of my way to eat here again. 100% worth the money.“
“"I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Sunrise on 39th! The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. From the warm hospitality to the mouthwatering dishes, it was a truly memorable experience. Can't wait to visit again!"“
“The sea salt dusted mocha chip cookie is amazing. The cappuccino was equally good. My only “complaint” is, why ask me if my order is to go or here. When I answer, “I’m going to savor the cookie and coffee here”, please don’t put the cookie in a paper bag and the coffee in a paper cup. I feel like I’ve been given a doggie bag. I am a guest in your place of business, and I’ve come in to relax, recharge and enjoy some quiet time; instead I felt rushed, drained and overwhelmed by the loud music.“
“Omg............you HAVE got to try this spot out!!!! They've got everything from the absolute BEST hospitality, most deliciously homemade fresh empanadas, and incredibly delightful Frescas Con Crema( with an added shot)?....I haven't even made it to the dessert?Christina, you all have raised the bar!!!??Outstanding!!!! “
“The yummiest coffee in the Northland! Always quick (even with the huge lines that form) and baristas are ALWAYS in a positive mood. Never had an order wrong once, I go almost daily, and if I try something new and don’t like it they are more than happy to replace it for me.“
“My wife booked this as part of our Valentines and it was a pre-Superbowl Par-Tea.For a couple engaged in London, it turned back the hands of time a little. This was a special event, at about $20/person.The food /tea was delightful. The young ladies hosting this event done a superb job.We will go back.“
“I visited a roasterie coffee company in Kansas City, Missouri, for a tour.I made a reservation in advance, and the tour cost $5 per person.I could see that the small plane at outside, which seems like the company logo and symbol, arousing curiosity.I learned that many customers from around and about visited for the tour. The interior of the factory was spacious, with not many people working due to mechanization. Our tour guide, Mr Eric, was so enthusiastic and loud in her explanations that it was very thankfulThe various coffee aromas tasted on-site were very pleasant. The products produced seem to be popular and likely to be consumed a lot.Visiting the coffee factory for the first time will be a memorable experience.“
“My wife and I saw a post on instagram for Ollama and what caught our eye is the coffee flights! We both love trying many different flavors whether it’s coffee or beer and having the option to try many sold us on coming. The shop picks two and you get to pick another two and each flavor was great! Each option was very flavorful and refreshing. Ollama is a unique spot in KC, it’s not every day you get to try Latin American coffee.“
“So heres the thing....I order from La Cubana fairly often. Everytime I complete the order i sit and drool patiently waiting for my sandwich to arrive because its absolutely incredible....then! i ordered my sandwich this evening and it arrived and when i opened the box the bread kind of looked a little burnt! So of course i was like OH NO ! i hope its still good.... then i took a few bites and i realized that maybe they did this as a favor because I'm such a loyal customer, because it somehow tasted even better!....La Cubana.....you never EVER let me down! Basically, people, if you don't order the Cuban Sandwich from this place with their fried mashed potato and beef balls as a side (with whatever that sauce that comes with them is cause its just incredible)....you are downright out of your mind and missing out in life........“
“My first time in, and I found it to be charming. A bright and tidy place in a more historic part of town. The baristas were sweet and fun. If you get a drip coffee and choose to enjoy on premises, you pick out your own mug and get a free refill. It was a perfect Sunday morning stop.“
“Okay, so I'm a biscuits and gravy connoisseur. I've eaten them all over the United States. There is a proportion of gravy to biscuits that I believe is absolutely right. Too much gravy? Nah. Biscuits too big or too small or obviously "shot out of a can"? Nah. When you finish, there should be no gravy left and no biscuit hanging around begging for more gravy. It's gotta be just right. So until I had the biscuits and gravy at The Borough, my favorites were at The Corner in Riverside, MO. Good proportions, creamy and satisfying. But... the ones at The Borough? Best I've ever had. Lots of sausage, excellent gravy, perfect biscuits. If you haven't had them, go on Wednesday. That's the day! I'll be there, too, enjoying my favorite meal.“
“On a recent visit to KC, the wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see a coffee shop/record shop in walking distance to our Airbnb. When we arrived I was shocked to find a SOLID variety of vinyl, and had an amazing late.Great store and experience!!!“
“On our visit to Kansas City, this cafe was the only “must visit” on my list and it did not disappoint. If I lived closer I’d be there regularly. As it is, I enjoyed everything about my one visit. The storefront is unmistakeable, and I knew I was in the right place by all of the people coming and going. (Side note: the KC Current were playing later in the day and it was a thrill seeing so many women’s soccer fans in the house!)I got an Iced Mango Sticky Rice Latte and I’ve never had anything even remotely similar. The espresso was smooth. The flavors were complex while also tasting distinctly similar to mango sticky rice.KC is seven hours from my home but I’d consider making the drive regularly to support this small business.“
“This little place is really nice, with a great atmosphere. They have delicious pastries and coffee. I'm not sure what other drinks they have, I was a bit focused on the coffee that day.I've been there twice now, and both times were great. I sat there with my friend, undisturbed, and we enjoyed our drinks and chatted away. The staff was kind, which I always appreciate. They have a decent-sized seating area, and even a few chairs outside, which is where I usually prefer to sit.Good coffee is hard to find, don't sleep on this place!“
“The owners are so kind and the food is delicious. We have been multiple times and are always impressed with the empanadas and the milanesa. Last night we had the parillada and the flavors of the different cuts of meat were distinct and delectable. The chocolate cake is incredible. This restaurant is amazing. Just go!!“
“There is Revo cup close to my home which I stop in now and then. My real estate team and I had a coffee event there to buy coffee for patrons and answer some questions about the real estate market and offer some helpful real estate advice. The owner was so welcoming and helpful to guide people our way.“
“This is an excellent and unique cafe serving interesting and delicious food and drinks. I tried the Spicey Mayan Mocha and it was fantastic. The combination of chili, cocoa and coffee was a new experience that elevates the classic Mocha. I also tried the Jalapeno and Cheese Tamale which was absolutely killer! Service was great and the interior was clean and welcoming.I will definitely make a return trip next time I'm in KCMO.Highly recommended!“
“Met a potential customer here and it was a great place to post up. The line went quick when ordering and there was plenty of seating throughout. I ordered a chai tea latte and the flavor was great - it was the tasty powder kind and not the liquid pump.“
“Take Care is a new coffee shop located in the Crossroads. We went on a Sunday morning to grab coffee and work on some wedding stuff. It was nice that it wasn't took busy and we sat at the bar. I love the no tipping culture not because I am against tipping but because it means they are paying their employees responsibly. The staff is so nice and we ended up talking to them for awhile while we sat at the bar. They didn't offer any GF pastries when we were there but their biscuits were amazing! They also had a scone that looked delicious but I decided I had to try the biscuit after hearing about it. There are several butter and jam options. We both enjoyed our coffee and got a lot of work done during our time there. I will 100% be back.“
“Another gem in the KC coffee scene. Driving out of your way is worth it for the drinks and the atmosphere. It's a spacious and cool store that's easy to relax in. Great chai, perfectly spiced and rich. The banana mocha is delicious.“
“The bowls are amazing! Super super yummy! But the reason I’m writing is because I want to thank the owners for making this place look like a little piece of Costa Rica ❤️ I was born and raised in Costa Rica, for 10 years I haven’t visit my country. Today, as I walked in this place I couldn’t hold back my tears. This place is so beautiful and it reminds me so much of home ❤️ is really sooooo rare to find places like this. You made a Tica homesick but in love with this place and food. Thank you ?? ?? “
“So many babies!! This cat cafe is perfect. The cats have plenty of room to roam around and can get some private time if they need it. This is the most chill I’ve seen cats in this environment. There are plenty of seating areas and even with a few different groups of people you can spread out and not feel like the area is crowded. The coffee was also very tasty and they have lots of merch you can buy. I would highly recommend visiting if you need some cats in your life.“
“The Java garage has plenty of space to spread out and really focus on your work. Multiple different seating options from bar stools, couches, swinging benches, and dining tables. Sometimes I like a more cozy work environment so this might not be my go-to all the time, but it was a nice change of pace.I got the Open Road latte with oat milk and it tastes like a butterscotch candy. Very good. There is also a very friendly and adorable coffee shop dog named Scout!Dietary restrictions: Oat milk available as well as soy and almond!“
“Hiring McLain's Bakery for our wedding cake (and sheet cakes) was an incredible experience. We went in for a cake tasting where they took the time to explain all of our options, as well as work with us on a plan for number of guests and amount of dessert needed to accommodate. Their cake was amazing! We ordered almond cake with raspberry filling, which was so delicious and can't wait to order through them again for special occasions!“
“?Excellent staff, drinks and pastries, they have delicious batch crew coffees.? The owners insist upon having three TVs behind the bar playing the *news* all day long.It conflicts with anything you might like to do in a coffee shop: Study, write, have a conversation with your friends, or just not see ads in front of your face constantly.Kinda sabotages the good work the baristas are doing.“
“We have been here multiple times, whether it's busy or not, they are always super friendly, great customer service, and they are always happy to recommend their favorites or help you find something you'll love! They drinks are huge, taste great and such a great price compared to others close by ;) and the drive-thru doesn't take have as long! We will definitely be back!!“
“Great spot for coffee and beer! They always have a solid selection of craft lattes, teas, and seasonal drinks as well as an outstanding tap list for beer! Lots of space for groups or a great spot for studying. Highly recommended for all times of the day“
“AmazingI really enjoyed the mochi doughnuts and the floral mango tea.I also was able to grab a sandwich from a pop-up event made by Chef Hera ( The homemade focaccia bread was to die for )Definitely will be back to try their goodies and to check out some of the local art they have displayed.“
“I never expected to find such a gem scrolling for breakfast on google. Their breakfast menu brings a beautiful blend of culinary fine dining with home style comfort food. The owners are so kind and genuine quick to strike up a conversation. And their house made chai tea is absolutely to die for, I will definitely be back time and time again for that alone. I can’t wait to come back and try their specials!“
“Love love love this place I lived in the northeast area my whole life and always drove past this coffee shop recently started trying different places and this morning I walked in hoping to find a hidden gem such a vibe great delicious coffee great costumer service beautiful cute cozy sitting will go again especially knowing that it’s right down the street from my house“
“Love the addition of Rebel Coffee to the neighborhood! The staff is wonderful (Shout out to Hannah!), the bagel sandwhiches are my new favorite breakfast, and the cold brew is most excellent. As a former barista, i highly recommend stopping by the staff is knowledgeable and great with recommendations! Support local business!“
“Cinnamon buns, guacamole toast, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito were all excellent. Their iced house coffee is good as well. Knocked off a star due to limited seating and when we ordered our coffee no one told us to wait at a counter (they deliver the rest of your food), so we ended up not getting that until we finally asked. When we did ask the server she just said oh they call your name (music plays loudly inside so no way you can hear unless you're right there) and leave it at the bar for you, and then she walked off.“
“Nice!I tried a machiato, and it has aromas distinct from other shops in a good way. It also came with a complimentary drip coffee. My wife and I enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. It has a decent amount of seating capacityDefinitely one to come back.“
“This is literally my go-to spot now! I LOVED my experience x1000! Its so beautiful inside. Its a cafe & event space. I stopped in because my friend was Dj'ing & it was such a vibe! The service was amazing! Every question I asked was answered! Food was amazing! I will always recommend this place! They also have so many events on their IG, so check them out!“
“Just got back from New York, famed for their bagels. Went to at least 6 bagel shops. ABSOLUTELY NONE could touch Meshuggah Bagels, for just the right chewiness, and the perfect crunch of the crusts when the bagel is toasted. These bagels are an absolute miracle, and THEY'RE ALL OURS!“
“This has been my "Go to" just about every Sunday morning for the past 6 years. Great donuts. Consistent. My kids are excited for Ray's Donuts every time. They make a certain amount and then sell out. Anyone leaving a 1 star review has such high standards that they need a 24-hour donut place. This is mom and pops. They start at 2am and open at 530am. They sell until they are gone. No meat...hence the name..."Ray's DONUTS". Super friendly.Keep it up ladies! We love your donuts!“
“Always the best crepes in the state. Sooooo good and gluten free is available for all crepes. I love the French infused atmosphere and the staff. A must visit breakfast brunch spot in the cityDietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian“
“The team at this location is top tier amazing! They just really brighten my day every time I come through! They really hook you up and they enjoy putting smiles on customers faces genuinely! I can’t go to any other Dutch bros ?Vegetarian options: Coconut milk!“
“Super cute!! Came here for a pop up k-pop event. First time trying Boba tea and I didn't know what to get but this one looked interesting. I'm so glad I got it because it was really good. It was kiwi flavored and lychee jelly. The jelly was good and I couldn't put it down. You order and they give u a pager to let you know when it's ready. It takes a few minutes. It was busy in there because of the event but not necessarily the ordering area. I would like to get this again or something similar“
“I was led here by a three eyed crow amulet. This place was the perfect place for small business meeting, perfect ratio not to many people but a nice steady stream of new faces. I'm kind of a rough around the edges guy, and no one stared at me or made me feel unwelcome. The coffee was great, which was a bonus!“
“This coffee shop first of all is beautifully decorated, and second the owner is friendly and the coffee is absolutely top notch! As a Southern California native with a child who has special needs, I hold back tears every time I order here. I love how the owner is inclusive by hiring people with special needs. I’m so happy to support a local place like this! Highly recommend.“
“A surprise find of a little shop I found by googling milkshakes. This was the first instance of the kids getting to see rolled up ice cream in person. The guy doing the chopping and freezing was fast and very skilled. It was pretty much a show with the ice cream. The lady working the till was excellent too, giving the kids plenty of chances order on their own.Overall a 10 out of 10 experience. I think I will be treating the kids to it again.“
“what better way to warm up on a cold and snowy day than with a delicious cup of coffee and a toasty sandwich from Grand Coffee on the menu: breakfast sandwich, caramel macchiato, hot chocolate, and a bagel with cream cheese our thoughts: love the relaxing vibes and great open space, lots of seating with convenient spaces to work. the coffee is delicious, especially the specialty coffee drinks, and they offer a wide variety of breakfast items, pastries, and sandwiches our tip: grab the chess board and enjoy a great game while sipping your drink“
“Chingu Coffee has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in KC. Their lattes and flavorings are perfection. The misugaru latte is my go to, but I'm also partial to the lavender vanilla and they've done a great job on seasonals as well. This is also my favorite place to get beans for coffee at home. I don't remember which varieties we've tried, but so far they have all been shockingly flavorful and unique. The sausage burrito is also one of my fave grab and go breakfast options in KC as well. It's a Korean spin on a classic sausage egg and cheese burrito, with rice and ground pork and a flavorful gochujang sauce for dipping. It's got a nice spice to it without being overwhelming (or regretful) as an early morning meal. They panini press them too so it's got a nice crunch and they are compact and easy to eat without making a mess. My only complaint? A 10oz latte is too small for me and a 16oz is too big. A petty thing to complain about? Sure. But here's hoping they invest in 12oz cups in the future!“
“We decided to make this a brunch stop for RW 2024 and I'm so glad we did! They had two options, a biscuit sandwich and banana bread french toast. We got both and split them - they were both so yummy but the chicken sandwich was mind blowing! I hate chewy chicken but it was super tender with a buttery biscuit. The french toast was so yummy, and the hashbrown side was excellent!! Cant wait to be back soon!“
“What a cute spot with amazing customer service! The lady at the register was so sweet. I told her it was my first time there, so she recommended some choices. I ended up ordering the classic brioche and an iced oat milk matcha latte. Both were delicious! The coffee shop was nice and roomy too with plenty of seating. Highly recommend!“
“"Absolutely delighted with the exquisite coffee and pastry experience! The aroma of freshly brewed coffee paired with the heavenly taste of the flaky pastry created an unforgettable sensory delight. Each sip and bite transported me to a realm of pure bliss. Kudos to the talented team behind “
“I love coming to Anchor Island Coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive, and queer owned. All the staff I have met are very friendly. They have the best iced carmel oatmilk latte in the area, and their buffalo chicken quesadilla is delicious. The downstairs area is quite small but there is plenty of seating upstairs. There are often pop ups of local vendors in the downstairs area as well. I have seen a variety of items from art, jewelry, soaps, and candles. There is lots of free/non-metered street parking, but how full it is can depend on the time/day and other events happening nearby. Usually I have no problem parking very close on a Saturday afternoon but on occasion I have had to circle the block.Parking: Street parking all around the shop and nearby blocks. Can be difficult depending on the time of day, day of the week, and any other events that may be happening nearby. There is a lot behind the building but I am unsure if it is public or for employees only.Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight space downstairs, but could be workable. The upstairs would be completely inaccessible.“
