“The atmosphere and vibe is perfect. Classic prohibition era speakeasy. Stepping off the elevator feels like stepping back in time to a long ago era in Kansas City. Lonnie is a classic showman, larger than life. His band is some of the best talent I've had the pleasure to hear. The service and staff are very attentive without being invasive. All in all, a great place to celebrate an occasion, even if that occasion is simply “Welcome to the Weekend!”. ;)“

“We had only been to Rockhille Grilel once before and didn't have a great experience. Buuuut, we decided to give it another try during their Happy Hour. I got their Bruschetta and it was the BEST I've ever eaten and so delightfully plated. Simple, yet classic. Our server, Trevor was EXCELLENT. The Rockhill Grille will DEFINITELY be on our, "regular" list“

“We traveled from South Carolina to visit family and they took us to Brewer's Kitchen. The food was exceptional. Each burger option is unique, fresh cut fries seasoned just right. The fact that everything is locally sourced is a plus in my book. The staff was friendly and caring. Give Brewer's Kitchen a try and you'll go back.“

“The atmosphere catches your attention right as you come in. Very unique. The staff are really nice, smiling, well informed and attentive. The food is excellent. We had the CA roll which was nicely done. The tartare was very unique. Yummy but a little messy to wrap your own. The cod is one of the best I've ever eaten in KC. That alone will bring me back. We all shared the brownie, crispy outside, gooey in. Warm and yummy. Their wine list is paired very nicely with their menu. Lots of trendy restaurants in KC lately that are just so so, this one is a keeper.Parking: They have their own lot next to their building“

“The atmosphere is great, the food was amazing, and cocktails were delicious! We ordered four dishes to share between two of us which was filling (they recommend 4 to 5). The food did take longer than expected to come out, but their customer service is unmatched!Dietary restrictions: They ask when you sit down if you have any dietary restrictions. They then mark the menu with which dishes to avoid.“

“Very nice restaurant! The menu had a lot of delicious offerings and our party had a hard time deciding what to eat. The salmon was fabulous! The meatloaf was great! The guac and bread were brilliant starters. Service was great, I think my water had to be refilled 5x...but our server was on top of it. I would very much go back!“
“My son and I came in from the Detroit area to continue our MLB tour of stadiums. During our time in KC we decided to check out Tom’s Town Distillery. We started with the best Old Fashioned we’ve had! Luck was on our side as we were the only ones on the tour. Tony did an outstanding job educating us on the distillery processes and gave us some very interesting facts about the building, the business and KC history. The video complemented the tour and the pours were top notch. We’d recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about spirits and KC history. We’ll be telling our friends it’s a must stop when they visit. Thanks Tony for an awesome experience!!“

“Concur, this is a friendly, even historic, watering hole in one of the original grand downtown hotels of KCMO. And thank goodness they didn't mess with the original woodwork and theme of the place. The neon sign outside is precious and should never be allowed to be messed with! Whether you're here to watch (or catch) a game or just hanging out with some pals for a nightcap, hard to beat this small venue away from the huge crowds some places downtown are seeking. I can keep coming back here just fine.“

“If you are a biker, stay away. The owner tells the help not to serve you. Turned about 50 of us away so we went to twin peaks. Greeted w open arms. This isn't the first time we've tried going there on the bikes both times we were asked to not be served, loudly across the bar“

“Lovely Saturday night date night at Charisse. This was my first time here and the location and ambiance is very nice and quaint. The service was efficient as well. The prime rib was our favorite and extremely flavorful! We will be adding this to our list of nice date night places for sure!“

“We went here for an early dinner. The food was excellent as well as the service. While we were there not too many customers. In fact there were probably more TVs than customers. I expect that during NFL games it’s standing room only. They are in the convention district so reservations would probably be needed during a convention. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. All in all a great place. Looked like an unlimited number of different beers. Don’t think you could go wrong.“

“11/10. Incredible experience from start to finish. Food: Phenomenal. The ingredients are mainly locally sourced and the menu is Missouri farm-to-table concept essentially - SO well executed. The menu is elevated, unique & cool, yet *totally* accessible to those who may be less adventurous eaters, etc. Perfect balance. Appetizers: we had the Housemade rolls & chili butter, the smoked ricotta spread topped w/ sweet cherry & red pepper jelly w/ fried saltine crackers (my fav!), and the country ham and rice arancini - all amazing. Entrees: We had the pasta with house made Ricotta cappelletti braised Rabbit (we ordered a half-size portion, might have been my fav dish of the night!), rainbow trout, Pickled chicken thighs & tenderloins, and Pork chop. All were PERFECT, our table was raving. The cocktail menu: Delicious, we all had different house specialty cocktails and loved them all.Service: Knocked it out of the park. They were very busy and had a minor delayed start to service, and without prompting they came to our table with several beautiful, complimentary appetizers “for our trouble” for the initially slightly delayed service which was SO generous, extremely classy and unexpected. ❤️ Their waitstaff was so knowledgeable, attentive/above and beyond, and just lovely.Price: SO reasonable for the level of fine dining, quality, and portions they serve. Yes, you can get a pricey (but exquisite looking) dry-aged steak & expensive bottle of wine if you’re looking for a $$$ experience, but you can have an absolutely accessibly-priced upscale dinner here as well, easily.Highly Recommend this place for any special occasion, date night, dinner with friends, or just anytime you want a guaranteed amazing meal. Thank you to the Chef, and their whole staff! We will be back for sure.“
