“*Drive-Thru Review Only* I stopped here because its close to my babies school & I wanted some coffee before I picked her up! I got French Vanilla Iced Coffee & a Wake Up Wrap! It was sooo delicious. The lady over the speaker was so patient with me because I could no decide on what I wanted. But I'm glad I got the wrap, it was hot, the bread was soft & flaky.. I loved it. Yelp gave me a free donut for visiting & so I got a chocolate covered sprinkled one for my daughter, she will be excited to have this treat after school! I will be there more as they are really close, so I hope to keep having positive experiences!“

“This is a great place, Mr. Johnny’s been around for a long time. The food is superb, the price is more than reasonable. The Italian steak and pork chop sandwiches are the best best, the burgers are excellent and I think this is the best fried chicken in town. It’s carry out only, so it’s best to call in your order. The donuts are very good, get there early, because they do run out.“

“I've passed this location several times and finally decided to give it a try. They were unfortunately sold out of the Biscuits and Gravy, but I ended up having a breakfast burrito and a spicy bacon danish. They were both delicious. I will be back to try more again soon!“

“Every time I have gone in here, which isn't a ton, they are always friendly and welcoming. The selection looks very neatly displayed and the store is clean. The prices are not the cheapest but they are from the most expensive. They are reasonable is what I would say. When the apple fritter is fresh out of the fryer, it might be the most delicious fritter I've ever had in my life. I've had a lot of different apple fritters so that's saying something!“

“Small local business with friendly staff. There is no indoor seating, so we ended up taking our sandwiches to a nearby park, which on a nice day, works. For $22, we got 2 drinks, 2 good sized sandwiches, 2 chips and 2 desserts (cookie or donuts). Definitely a good value! The sandwiches were solid. Fresh ingredients and made well.“

Dounut Diary Entry # (who knows what) - HITIDES Coffee Since I'm not a caffeine connoisseur, I can only judge this place on its doughnuts, and they are by far something to brag about. These fluffy yeast doughnuts are only offered in a few flavors, and each one has an island flair. The citrus notes really shine through on each doughnuy variety and the love the zingy punch of the glazes. Noteworthy and unique HITIDES offers a little taste of the beach life in a landlocked town. All that's left to say is kowabunga! Hang ten and definitely stop by HITIDES if you're out and about in the Crossroads area and looking for a tropical treat!“
“I got the mocha and chocolate long John. It was very good, you did need to add sugar packets to the coffee if you didn't want it black. “Great donuts! A coworker brings donuts to the office every Thursday and this week she changed from the usual donut shop and brought a box from Baxter's instead. All the donuts we got were yeast donuts. I tried a glazed twist, cinnamon sugar twist, vanilla frosted long John, and a German chocolate long John. The German Chocolate donut was delicious! I've seen this type as a cake donut before, but never as a yeast donut. By the time I got to the office there was 1/3 of a German chocolate left, so I'm assuming it was a long John or large bar shaped donut. I would definitely get this again. I had a couple bites of the glazed twist and sugar twist throughout the day and really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar twist. I did notice that these were pretty dried out by the end of the day, though, as people cut bites off of them throughout the day. The vanilla iced long John (white icing) is not something I've tried before, but there was a whole one left at the end of the day, so I took it home for dessert. Even though it hadn't been cut into at all, it was starting to get a bit dry and stiff by 8pm at night, so these are definitely best eaten as soon as possible. If you're a fan of coconut, try the German chocolate!“

“I grew up eating Lamar donuts at the original spot on lindwood in Kansas City Mo. I remember walking in and noticing this guy who was so nice selling the donuts. After you gone in so many times he knew your favs and wouldn't even ask you what you wanted. Then you open your bag and your favs are in the bag plus half dozen of glaze donut holes. Next time I go in I say I don't want any holes in my bag today I need to lose weight Mr. Lamar's would say you shouldn't have come in here look at me. We both bust out laughing. I love the glaze but my favs now are the blue berry cake donuts, apple spice or sometimes it's just the plain cake with a cup of coffee the way my grand mother would love to eat LaMars.“
“Have to come here early like most donut shops because their inventory was pretty low. Overall they still had plenty of tasty ones that are all hard to pass up. Service was quick and simple and it moved very quickly. The staff was nice and gave us their recommendations. Just a couple seconds in the microwave made it a warm morning treat. The donuts were moist and fluffy and not hard so I knew it was pretty fresh. I'm glad that we will have Lamar's around the area since there is not much left in that shopping center.“

“The apple fritters are AMAZING! I am also a huge fan of their pudding filled chocolate covered long johns. I was just there, right after new owners bought the place. I love the friendly faces and the younger generation helping behind the counter. The dining room is opened up and we finally got to sit in there as a family. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: They have a cute children's menu that the little ones can doodle on, play tic tac toe, and do a maze or word search.“
