The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant energy that set the stage for an amazing evening. Our waiter, **Dillon**, was new but absolutely fantastic—attentive, quick, and so eager to learn while providing excellent service. **The drinks were a highlight!** My espresso martini was *divine*—rich, smooth, and almost like a dessert with what tasted like a hint of chocolate at the center. My fiancé’s smoked old fashioned (made with **Blanton’s**) was **next-level good**—bold, perfectly balanced, and so flavorful. For starters, the **calamari** was cooked *perfectly*—crispy, tender, and not rubbery at all. I had the Major crossing medallions and he had the Ribeye. Both seared to perfection with amazing flavor. The garlic butter mashed potatoes, well let me say I could have eaten a whole bowl of them! The chocolate chip cookies were the cherry on top! Oh and the chef came out to say hello because duh, the food was amazeballs and customer service was top tier! Overall, **Retro Metro exceeded every expectation**. We can’t wait to come back!”

We ate here the day we got married. And many, many anniversaries, birthdays, and valentine's days in between. This place is very near and dear to our hearts. We came here tonight for an early V-day celebration. Everything was still just as good as it's always been and we are so grateful they haven't changed their recipes. We always come here for sushi, and even after all this time, it's still the best in town.”

Once the error was discovered it became evident they were not prepared for our group. We were made to feel as if we'd done something wrong. They seated us in another area, our drink orders taken and delivered, and we never saw our server again. Finally, after one of us had to leave in order to get food before going to work, we decided to go elsewhere. A neighboring restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly without fuss, despite being short handed. We had our food within a surprisingly short time. Thank you, Big Momma's. We'll be back.”

I kept seeing signs during our travels for Godfather Pizza, and mentioned we should stop. The girl at the counter was super nice, and explained the menu, since we had never been there. So, my son and I have been VERY BLESSED to have each other, because our family is out of State. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, for the last 3 yrs, he and I take 1 to 3 ppl that don't have Family here or that can't afford to go out to eat, with us to enjoy a good meal and good company. Thanks to the good food, good conversations, the waitress/waiter, but, mainly HIGHEST THANKS TO THE COOKS!!!! Without a good cook, ya can't have good food. THANK YOU ALL!!!!”

“I was visiting from out of state when my daughter got hurt and I needed to have her hand stitched up. I was very upset and the staff here was wonderful. They brought in a ped life specialist to help my daughter (and me) through the process, they were extremely supportive and friendly. I felt that the check-in/triage/waiting process was pretty well managed and we had a reasonable wait time for the situation we were in. Being from out of town, we did have difficulty finding the entrance to the Emergency Room at night. The GPS did not take us the correct way and we had to drive around to find the entrance. But as far as the hospital itself, I would recommend my experience to anyone.”

“We went here for my wife’s birthday dinner. It is a very popular place and we enjoyed it and our server. Atmosphere was very friendly and so were the staff. My wife had the ribeye, broccoli with cheese and loaded baked potato. I don’t remember the last time that she ordered and eat a steak that size as well every thing else on her plate! Her steak was done as she requested. I had the top sirloin and half a rack of ribs, also baked potato and red beans with rice. It was delicious and perfect blend of each. We will be back for another dinner or lunch. The restaurant was so busy and so many places to sit, I didn’t want to impose on the guests to take more pictures.”

But it’s really close.”

We came here kind of late and were able to order food right before the kitchen closed. We started off with 2 drinks: a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for me and an Orange Dream for my husband. We were very hungry so we ordered 2 appetizers. The mezze board comes with fresh flatbread, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki. We also ordered chips and dip. The dip was yogurt based with chives. Everything tasted absolutely wonderful and flavorful that our plates were sparkling clean by the time we were done. Their service was fast, the staff friendly and attentive. The rooftop location is great offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience, definitely a must if you’re in Springfield!”

Everyone exhibited exceptional kindness, and as a discerning diner, I found the spaghetti, bread, calamari, salad, and all dishes outstanding. My husband ordered the fried lasagna, which was promptly delivered to our table, fresh and hot. “We made a full day of it our last day in Missouri, and were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before heading to our hotel. I kept seeing signs during our travels for Godfather Pizza, and mentioned we should stop. The girl at the counter was super nice, and explained the menu, since we had never been there. Pizza came out quick and was really good. We were pleased we decided to stop here. I wish they had these near us in Pennsylvania.”

“Just stopped here for dinner and their was a gentlemen using the woman’s bathroom made Erin uncomfortable….but there is way more to this story. Don’t judge a book by the cover. The gentleman just got out of the hospital, and obviously had some gi issues. Where the story takes a twist the restaurant fed the gentlemen for free and gave him a ride to his house. Everyone should come eat their food here. Service is amazing and any business that supports our community like this deserves as much business as they can handle. The servers were so amazing I took care of the mans tab and will definitely be back soon. The wait staff interacted with me and my Fiance like we were family and like we were regulars. This establishments treats people as if they are actually family and not just a customer.”

“*** One problem I have is the last four visits our cooks have been putting teriyaki on all the chicken as they are cooking it. I ordered chicken with shrimp but I did not order teriyaki. I did not want teriyaki and due to dietary restrictions I'm not supposed to have teriyaki but I was not even asked if I wanted teriyaki. I think guests should be given the option or even at least asked if we want teriyaki sauce put on our chicken while it is being cooked.”

“Couldn’t be seated in patio, reserved (says hostess)…. What’s up with that, no one showed up. I went out there after no one showed up there after a couple hours (brunette bartender had no answers, thought I was being rude asking about it being open, so had an attitude, said “well, you can go out there but you won’t have service.” Great attitude, right? Ginger bartender and server Faith made up for it. Those two were great.”

“This place is AMAZING!!! I love their bbq mac grilled cheese and loaded tots they are always on point and so good and quite filling. The people working are always super sweet and kind and they get your order done quick. I love the buzzer system they have and parking is so easy. My son loved his rainbow grilled cheese... pulling it apart was so fun and the mac n cheese is so good! We will definitely be back as long as I see that flag.”

“The atmosphere was great for a date night for us. Tha ambiance was nice that you could have a conversation without having to yell over the music or sports bar crowds. Our waitress was an absolute delight and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The flavors are absolutely delicious and definitely make you want to come back. Only 2 issues I have are the rice in the paella was a little undercooked and crunchy, and that the shrimp cocktail is kind of a ripoff. It says it's 6 grilled and chilled shrimp, but is actually just 6 regular precooked and thawed shrimp for $22. The balsamic drizzle on the plate was amazing tho. Over all, will definitely go back...just not for the shrimp cocktail.”

A real mixed bag of good and fair food off the menu.”

“I recently dined at Olive Garden and had a fantastic experience. Our server, Noe W., provided outstanding service—he was professional, polite, and attentive to every detail. He truly deserves a bonus for his excellent manners and dedication.
The food was great, especially the Chicken Alfredo, which was creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The Seafood Alfredo was also a standout, with a generous portion of shrimp and scallops in a smooth, flavorful sauce. The Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara had the perfect balance of smoky bacon, tender chicken, and shrimp in a delicious, cheesy sauce. Every dish was fresh, hot, and well-prepared.
The only downside is the prices, which I personally find too high. However, I understand that inflation has affected everything. Hopefully, they’ll come down in the future.
I really hope that management sees this and rewards Noe W. with a raise or a special bonus. His service truly made the experience exceptional, and he deserves to be recognized for it.”

The frequent Uber pickup bells were, at first, off-putting, but also we were glad to see the good business they were doing. I’m sure this restaurant will be a success. Go there! “Enjoyed a variety of Nigiri! The freshest I’ve ever had in this area! The fish literally melted in my mouth! Wagu A5 hot rocks was pretty amazing as well! We also enjoyed a Tokyo sunrise, forest of ariake, and a lychee martini! Each cocktail was well made! It was a lovely dinner. Can’t wait to come back.”
