“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I've been dining at both restaurants for years and enjoyed myself ,the food , and the staff! The food and sides at Morehead have a better flavor, taste better ,and the portions are much bigger. I ve notice that recently on my last couple times that the sides are much better at both restaurants. The mash potatoes in Morehead are so delicious. I wish that was the same case at the emerald isle restaurant. The Cole slaw is the best that I have taste recently. I swear if the food was as good as the sides have been lately I wouldn't eat anywhere else. SNAPPPERZ KEEP IT UP!“

“My wife and I went there for our 42nd anniversary. It was our first time but definitely not our last. The atmosphere was amazing and comfortable. Our server was an incredible young lady named Laurie, she was perfect from the first time to the last,a wonderful personality and a beautiful smile. The meals we ordered were done to perfection. “We celebrated New Years Eve with reservations at The Prime, and had a wonderful experience. The shrimp cocktail,served with melted butter and housemade cocktail sauce is now a new fav! The sides are served "family style" and easily enough for 2 people. Our server suggested we order a couple and share since it was so hard to choose from the variety of sides. Everything we ordered was delicious. My steak was a little too rare when it came out but the chef had no problem putting it back on and it came back out cooked perfectly. The entire wait staff was friendly and everyone made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.“

“Grits were the best I’ve ever had, so creamy! I would highly recommend!! Overall a great experience the only thing I would change is there was one lady working at the front register and we waited 15 minutes in line to pay while she answered the phone and checked people out but there were 3 girls at the host stand who probably could have answered the phone to get the check out line through quicker.“

“Our group met in the private room, which was spacious and beautiful. We were all able to hear each other (important in a writer's group), and our server did an amazing job of handling food, drink, and bills for about 20 people. Food was great (as were cocktails), and we plan to return.“

Definitely more sweet than spicy. my boyfriend had a bacon cheeseburger and said it's the best burger he's ever had. the service was amazing and the atmosphere was very laid back. It was some of the best food we've had in the morehead city area.“

The service was excellent, even though the place was busy. Our server, KC, was very attentive to beverage refills, which is always a big plus for me. To top it off, we dined outdoors with an excellent waterside view."

"Whenever we vacation on Emerald Isle, a visit to the Dock House in Buford is a must. Despite the restaurant's 3.7-star review on Google, our experiences have always been fantastic. The staff, especially during lunch, are a perfect blend of friendly and professional. And the drinks, whether it's a soda, beer, or a gin and tonic with Emperis Gin, are always on point."

“We drove 2.5 hours to eat. The best seafood around. The hostess, waiter and manager made the meal even better as we arrived 10 minutes before they closed, they still welcomed us in as if they were not getting ready to close. You won't find a better place to eat.“

“We celebrated our 35th anniversary with a wonderful experience at 34 North. The food was incredible. We did not need the steak knives to cut our steaks very tender. Used the regular case knives. The water views were great and the ambiance was laid back but upscale. Our server, Shannon, was excellent. She provided great recommendations and was polite and attentive. We enjoyed her as our server. Based upon her recommendation we returned to the next morning for their delicious blueberry pancakes. So glad we did. The restaurant is off the normal Beaufort waterfront but is worth the 5 minute drive to another waterfront with fantastic sunsets! Highly recommend this establishment.“
