“For many many reasons, we had not been to the Red Rocker for close to a year because it had just gone downhill. We would go there at least 2x a month, so we decided to give it a try again on Friday and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was fine, but the food was excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes had a wonderful, creamy quality to them, and the seasonal vegetables were not cooked to the point where they were absolute mush. They still had a little bit of crunch to them. It was delicious. One suggestion…..the website is not accurate as far as the menu. One of our favorite desserts was always the peanut butter pie. It still shows it on the website, yet we were told they no longer have it. There are some other discrepancies as well. To prevent people from being disappointed, I think it would be helpful to have the menu updated on the website. We will go back again.“
“Black Bear Tavern is my go-to place for top-notch breakfast food in a quanit environment. My coffee is constantly refilled and Lisa makes sure to make us feel at home during every visit. With this being a small establishment, she is sometimes running the show all by herself. But, she is dedicated to making sure everyone is her center of attention and makes time to have a laugh with everyone.“
“The gravy, potatoes, and green beans arrived cold. The gravy wasn't country gravy but more of a cheese sauce. we arrived about 1230pm, well after opening.Fried PicklesGarlic dill slices served with ranch dressingHouse Salad with Housemade Dressings: RanchCountry Fried SteakSirlion Steak Battered and Deep Fried served with mashed potatoes, green beans and country gravy.“
“Food was creative & well prepared. The pot roast left alot to be desired, nothing like a mom makes. Everything else was perfection. The room was loud, although it wasn't full. Needs noise panels on ceiling or something to take away the echo & add ambiance.“
“This is a cute restaurant with lots of character. My coffee mug said, "Ew...work." you order and pay at the podium and then lots of options for seating. The coffee is very flavorful without being bitter. The burrito was the best one I've ever had. My husband had the traditional and said it was really good. Service waa great. Definitely recommend for a tasty inexpensive breakfast.“
