“Had my first catfish and absolutely loved it! The cupcakes and hotdogs were delicious! My husband and sister-in-law couldn't stop praising their meals. We all reminisced on our dishes hours later, and probably years to come. Great prices as well, fast service, friendly, patient, and accommodating! There's also a nice place for kids to play in the grass and stretch their legs. We hope to visit again in the future ? “We found this little gem while coming back from a trip up in Tennessee. Wanted something different for lunch before a hike up the road. Wow. This place is so good. I can’t say enough about the food. So so good. Had the pulled beef. Man so flavorful. I got the beans and coleslaw. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich. Really great. Piled high and everything is made in house. They don’t have a microwave or a freezer. Nice. Great bbq sauces. The owner is super cool and knows his stuff. You have to check this place out. Plus he has bands play during the week. We are most definitely coming back.“

“The food and the service here is top notch. I enjoyed absolute best Fried Green Tomatoes I've ever had. They are layered with pimento cheese atop a smoky tomato bbq jam. The Vegan Empanadas were a hit and the Lobster Paella is to live for. “After following them for years, I finally got to try out their food on Sunday at New Belgium in Asheville. I had the fried oyster sandwich. Probably the BEST fried oysters I've every had... tender, crispy and perfect. Unfortunately I couldn't have the sauce that they put with it because it contains milk, and they didn't offer me an alternative. So I just put some crystal hot sauce on it. My husband had the Seintan sandwich (vegan) that was spiced to taste like Italian sausage. He said it was quite good, and would order again.“

We planned our event with them from the other side of the country and they made it easy and relaxed the whole time. When it came to the day of the event, Luella's was punctual and ready for action! The food was unbelievably tasty! I really can't recommend these folks enough, they were great every step of the way. We live right down the street in West Asheville and have come occasionally, but this will definitely be on a regular rotation, and you can take the at from an Asheville local.
