“Their black bean burger was super fresh, tender, and moist. Yummy to the tummy! The schiracha-aioli sauce went well with it. The folks taking my order were really friendly and helpful, and the place was clean. They managed to make good-tasting fast food from vegan ingredients.Vegetarian options: All vegan.Dietary restrictions: They do sell fountain drinks.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of sunlight comes through the windows.“
“Burger for breakfast was very good and huge! Carol and Blake are extremely nice people and offer exceptional service. She actually told a customer he could get his coffee for free from the dealership since he was having his car serviced instead of paying her. Very unique spot which makes it cool. Looking forward to the roast beef sandwich next time. I love the family owned businesses.“
“Really good! First time I seen this truck I got the caramel iced coffee and added vanilla (because Starbucks caramel is a little bitter to me) and it tastes really good and I also got the American pie donuts and they are perfect airy donuts with really nice texture. It’s a really nice little treat I would add a photo of the donuts but I stuffed it down my pie hole…“
“Great taco spot in Charlotte of freedom Drive This taco spot is friendly, fast omg Asada tacos are so good . Season just right , if you ever had a real street tacos from Cali you will not be disappointed. I’m big on good food and has to be season right . And the Fresca drinks are so refreshing….“
“We had a party and the earliest delivery time in the online system was not ideal for us. The team worked above and beyond to ensure the pizza was delivered at the time we needed. We had a variety of flavors. All are good and Hawaiian is our favorite! All guests love the pizza!“
“With quite a few trucks around, competition is present, but not accounted for! The added fixings and generous amount make this spot well worth the money. The added atmosphere is a bonus as most trucks don’t have a decent area to enjoy your meal if you aren’t in a hurry and can sit for a few. Their menu is also more extensive than I’m used to. One day I’ll try the smoothies.“
“¡Qué Sabor! A Taste of Venezuelan Sunshine at Chamos GrillTucked away in the heart of Charlotte, a little food truck called Chamos Grill is serving up a vibrant taste of Venezuela that's sure to warm your soul (and your tummy!). This family-owned gem bursts with authentic flavors, friendly faces, and the kind of warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome. From the moment you step up to the window, the aroma of sizzling arepas and savory fillings hits you like a hug. We dove headfirst into the classics - the Reina Pepiada, a succulent shredded chicken salad nestled in a perfectly griddled arepa, and the Pabellón Criollo, a hearty mix of shredded beef, black beans, and fried sweet plantains. Each bite was an explosion of textures and flavors, with the fluffy cornbread of the arepa absorbing the rich stewed fillings perfectly. The portions are generous, and the prices are beyond reasonable - enough to satisfy your hunger and leave you wanting more. What truly sets Chamos Grill apart is the passion and genuine warmth of the family behind it. You can feel their love for their heritage poured into every plate. They take the time to explain the dishes, answer your questions with a smile, and make you feel like you're part of their extended family. It's this kind of personal touch that elevates Chamos Grill from a simple food truck to a true Charlotte gem.Whether you're craving a taste of the tropics or simply looking for a delicious and authentic lunch experience, Chamos Grill is a must-try. So next time you're in Charlotte, skip the chain restaurants and head to Chamos Grill - your taste buds (and your heart) will thank you!Support local, family-owned businesses like Chamos Grill and spread the word about this hidden gem!“
“My delivery was delayed due to Uber eats so I was sure with the extra wait food would be cold but to my surprise it was still warm and everything was so good! We ordered the steak tacos, quesabirria tacos and a Pepsusa, they provided many sauces and the consume broth had plenty of meat, onion & cilantro. I’m getting over a sickness but I’ll be sure to try it again when I have my full tastebuds back. Definitely recommend!“
“The food was awesome as always. Just remember they work out of a shared kitchen. There is no seating and you have to order online. I suggest picking a local brewery to enjoy your food. Also, when you walk in scan the QR code on the wall to let them know you arrived.“
“I must say this food is delicious I definitely enjoyed dining here BUT that strawberry crunch cake ,Lemon cake ,Chocolate cake and red velvet cake is out of this world ? I've never had anything like it before. Be sure to go check them and DON'T forget dessert.“
“This food truck was at The Armored Cow on a Saturday night. I cannot emphasize enough how truly excellent everything was!! We had the flounder fish and chips which was incredibly fresh, crisp, and flavorful, along with the grilled salmon sandwich on a brioche roll, with a couple biscuits on the side. The salmon was perfection and those biscuits were little miracles of crispy exterior with a tender moist crumb inside. We ate like kings and frankly made a spectacle of ourselves yumming and moaning with pleasure over each bite. If you see this food truck, you will forever regret not stopping by and enjoying the hospitality of the owners and their gorgeous food offerings.“
“Authentic Laos cuisine in Charlotte! I was floored when I searched on Yelp for Thai cuisine and found this taste of Laos instead. My first visit here was at lunchtime during the workday. The exterior is clean, as well as the interior. The ambiance is equivalent to that of a fast-food restaurant. The food is elevated. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the cashier. I informed her that it was my first visit, and she was super polite, explaining the menu and giving her recommendations. I ultimately ordered a broth-based soup that equates to a pho with thicker rice noodles. The broth was flavorful, and the thicker noodles absorb that flavor nicely. The meatballs had a great texture and flavor as well, and the temperature of the dish was piping hot. My nose was a bit congested, and my stomach was a bit unsettled on this particular day, and this helped. For dessert, I had a dish that had sweetcorn, purple, sweet potato, and tapioca pearls in a sweetened coconut cream that was divine. It was the perfect end to a great experience. I've eaten here a few times since and enjoyed absolutely every dish, including the phenomenal chicken skewers. Anything you get here is a guaranteed home run.“
“I embarked on a culinary quest in Charlotte, NC, and stumbled upon a hidden gem - Taqueria el Quetzal, parked unassumingly in the Citgo gas station lot at Archdale Drive and South Blvd. Seeking an authentic “hole in the wall” experience, I gravitated towards this vibrant taco truck. My appetite was ambitious: three tacos - chicken, steak, and seasoned pork, and for a twist, some fried plantains with sour cream and cheese. The tacos, nestled in double corn tortillas, were adorned with cilantro, tomatillo salsa, onions, radish, lime, and a brave whole jalapeño. As a self-proclaimed gringo, I’m a flour tortilla fan, but for the sake of authenticity, I dove into the corn tortillas, finding them delightfully fresh and warm.Payment? Breezy! They accept cards, and the little pager system for order readiness is efficient. My feast was ready in a precise 10 minutes.Be warned: it’s a take-out scenario. I ended up savoring my meal in my car, and no regrets there! The first bite of the fried plantains was a revelation - hot, sweet, and perfectly ripe. An absolute must-try!The tacos each told their own story. The chicken was a marinated masterpiece, tender and flavorful. The seasoned pork was a close second, slightly cooler but packed with taste. The steak taco, while flavorful, had some chewy bits of fat - might skip that next time.A word of caution for my fellow spice-averse friends: the tomatillo salsa is authentic and fiery. I learned that after a daring taste test. It’s got a medium heat that can surprise you!At just over $13, the meal was a steal for the quality and quantity. Apart from the incredible tacos and plantains, Taqueria el Quetzal also serves up quesadillas, burritos, tortas, fajitas, and even American staples like Philly cheesesteaks and hamburgers.Verdict: If you’re in Charlotte and craving authentic Mexican street food or the best fried plantains of your life, Taqueria el Quetzal is your go-to spot. Don’t miss this culinary jewel in a taco truck!“
“Ve-go has become a recent favorite of mine. So far I've had the baked ziti, BBQ Ribz, Krab cake, and lasagna entree with the black and white greens, fried cabbage, curry rice, fries and house salad. Everything has been good, but I highly recommend the cabbage, and greens as sides. If I had to critique anything it would be the temperature of the pastas when I got them because they weren't hot, but everything else was. All in all I'll be eating from Ve-go often“
“Best Jamaican Experience in the city. If you looking for good food and good customer service.. You need to Run not walk to Don's Jamaican Kitchen. I had the jerk chicken and curry goat with rice, cabbage and plantains. Sooo good, everything was perfectly seasoned, good portion sizes. It took me back to when I traveled to Jamaica. Will definitely be back.“
“THEE BEST BIRRIA I have ever had in my life!!! No exaggeration! My husband and I ordered a variety of food to share and compare! Everything was absolutely AMAZING! The chicken wings were fresh (hand cut & split) the sauce was so yummy. The owner was very sweet and told us it would be a 15 minute wait because everything is made to order. It was worth the wait! If you see her—do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the most amazing food truck tacos around here!“
“The food is delicious! My son who is a very picky eater requests Snow Your Roll all the time. We are so happy they are back and we can’t wait to visit them! The staff is friendly and kind, and always greats us with smiles. Food trucks tend to move a little bit slower, so make sure you prepare for a reasonable wait.“
“Loved everything I got from here. The cabeza is so tender. And I don't know what it was about the burrito, but it was amazing. The red and green sauces both have a little kick which is nice. Just wish I had come to the place earlier in my trip!!“
“This food truck is a hidden gem! I ordered the Mini Quesadilla with chicken and Sope Campechanco with homemade Horchata to drink. As I waited for my food, the line of customers grew longer, confirming my belief that I had made the right choice. Something was bringing a lot of people to this food truck, so I was eager to try it for myself. While I was waiting, I took a sip of my giant horchata (they use huge cups!). It was so refreshing and I drank it all afternoon. Once I received my food, I opened the tray to the delicious aroma of Mexican spices and cheese. The meats were perfectly seasoned and tender, and the toppings were super fresh. But my absolute favorite part was the rich corn flavor of the sope base.As I scarfed bite after bite, I watched the empty tables fill with workers, businessmen, and random passersby. Everyone was thoroughly enjoying their food and the sunny day. I will definitely be returning!“
“The food is GREAT and super cheap! I guess the stereotype is right; if the place is dodgy, the food’s gonna be great! I ordered tacos with various fillings and quesadilla. Excellent! Although the waiting time can take sometimes from time to time, but the food was worth it! Staff is also friendly.“
“This place was a 10/10. I have heard great things from my Fiance, but this was the first time I got to try it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I got the cheesy garlic shrimp loaded baked potatoe, and my Fiance got the Gouda Chicken. He's tried, almost everyone they offer, and has yet to have something he didn't enjoy. It was super filling, hot, and flavorful. They had a consistent long line during lunch hours, but the wait was not too bad. Each baked potatoe comes with garlic bread. I can not recommend this food truck enough.“
“Their food truck was in Lancaster, SC and I am so glad I made the choice to spend my money with them! I normally don’t like burger patties but theirs are delicious! The lemon pepper, honey hot wings were perfect! And the Lemonade was the icing on the cake! Must try!!“
“They have good tacos there but they are small I usually eat 3 I ordered 4 and I could've ate 5 honestly also the salsas were spicy !?and that was just the best thing. The menu is kid friendly they have tenders and fries which was great !The inside is small so there Is like 3 tables butThe lady there was really nice and made sure to get our drinks to us and ask if we needed anything. We will definitely be back to eat here if we are ever in charlotte again.“
“I tried the key lime pie, peach cobbler & pumpkin pie cheesecake minis. I purchased them yesterday, refrigerated and ate them today. The peach cobbler was to die for! It was not to sweet AND seasoned well! The pumpkin pie was interesting but still super tasty. Not very cheesecake-y the consistency was more whipped mousse than firm. The crust was also somewhat crunchy but delicious. The whipped cream was fresh and not too sweet. The key lime square was rich, tart & with a perfect buttery graham cracker crust. I would drive 2.5 hours to Charlotte again just for these desserts!“
“This is a food truck located on a spacious gravel parking lot that is hard to miss. I've passed by this truck for so long and finally made the decision to stop by and I'm so glad I did. The food is so delicious and the drink was so refreshing. I got a steak torta with a medium cantaloupe drink. Such a yummy combo! Stop by and support this taco truck. You won't regret it!“
“If I could give them more stars I would. Deedee and Mike are a FANTASTIC duo. Their food truck came to my job for a social event. First, they have a perfect sanitation score of 100 and the customer service is SO appreciative. Now the food……fresh ingredients, large portions, flavorful food and a delicious array of options on the menu.If you have a chance, please give them a try.“
“I was nervous about trying it out. But I had a taste for Somme bbq. The ribs without sauce and the lamb chops were amazing and the Mac and cheese was ???. I don’t mind the price if the food is good and the service is great. The gentleman who helped me was friendly as well.“
“Pretty tasty crab cake. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and added a side of cole slaw. Everything was good. The crab cake was flavorful but I think I would've liked a touch more seasoning. The flavor that was there was good but I like things kicked up a notch. The cole slaw was good. I really liked it. It was fresh and the combination of cabbage and spices was good. I think I tasted small bites of apple in it and that was a great surprise. I'd definitely swing by here again for a second sandwich.“
“MarlieQ Catering was an absolute game-changer for my graduation party, delivering a true taste of Jamaica. As a Jamaican, I can confidently vouch for the authenticity and deliciousness of their jerk chicken, stew chicken, and fried plantains. Each dish was a hit, with flavors that transported us straight to the heart of the Caribbean.Their professionalism shone through in every aspect – timely service, excellent communication, and a genuine concern for customer satisfaction. MarlieQ’s personal touch was evident, especially when they reached out post-event to check in and congratulate me on my graduation. This level of care and attention to detail truly sets them apart. For anyone seeking genuine Jamaican cuisine combined with top-notch service, MarlieQ Catering is the obvious choice. They made my special day not only delicious but memorable. Highly recommended!“
“After reading the reviews I showed up early (11:30) on a Friday to avoid the long lines. I think it took about 10 minutes from the time I arrived to get my food. This was a good cheesesteak! You really get your money's worth--plenty of meat. Definitely recommend trying Chuck's if you have been searching for the best cheesesteak in CLT (like I have) Cash only!“
“Wow! I wasn’t expecting anything great out of this lil joint! Still talking about the chicken quesadilla and the steak tacos. The food was great! Wasn’t expecting to pay what we paid for some quick lunch food, but guess it made it up for the food being great! As long as the greatness meets the dollar sign, it’s all good and this place did that.“
“The Don's Kitchen is serving up Bougie Soul Food in Charlotte. My friends and I linked up today to check out Chef Don whip up some of his popular platters!Since I'm a seafood lover I enjoyed the Deep Fried Crab Legs, Deep Fried Lobsters Tails and Lemon Pepper Shrimp! These dishes are filled with flavor and loaded with seasoning! Ask for extra garlic butter drizzle too!For my Friends tried the Honey Gold, Strawberry Hennessy and Lemon Pepper Wings! The platters include two sides so add Trap Corn and the MAC! Just trust me 10/10!!!! I could eat the corn with any meal.He also prepared Honey Gold Turkey Leg & Strawberry Hennessy Turkey Legs which were both tender and fell right off the bone! Now my overall favorite has to be the LEMON PEPPER Fish Platter with Vegan Baked Beans & Potato Salad. Then we quenched our thirst with the Rainbow Lemonade! Very refreshing and not too sweet! This is a must try restaurant located in the City Kitchen!“
“Happened to run across this food truck on a trip to the Premium Outlets. Had no intention of stopping but on the way to my car, the food smelled amazing. There was no line so I ordered 2 shrimp tacos and a barbacoa burrito. Preparation was quick and food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The shrimp tacos were so good! Definitely did not expect the flavor that they packed, and I was mad that I only got two. They are very tiny street taco size, so if you're looking for a meal you would probably want 4 or more depending on your appetite. Other than being disappointed about the size of the tacos, my only feedback for the truck would be that there are no prices listed on the menu. This is a disadvantage because many people order based on not only the description of a dish but also how much it costs. It's a lot of trouble to ask for pricing on 3, 4, 5 menu items you're considering, especially if there's a line, when they could make it easy and put the prices on a sheet at the least. Other than that, I enjoyed the food and would purchase more tacos if I ever come across this truck again.“
“Amo su comida, muy rápido servicio y siempre complacen al cliente los dos chicos súper amables y la verdad se esmeran mucho para darte lo mejor. Muy recomendado. Los tacos campechanos y las tordas. Lo mejor… quieren algo como echo en casa este es el lugar ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Parking: Free parking and plenty ❤️“
“From the second we saw the building I knew this place would be 10/10. The vibe is immaculate, both gentlemen that were working were so kind and helpful. The shop itself is super cozy and fun (plus they’re pet friendly, love to see it). The coffee speaks for itself, the flavors are truly unique and divine. We got the pistachio baklava latte and banana bread latte - both were made to perfection!! We also got the pistachio croissant, I think it was the best croissant I’ve had in my life? And I’m not even being dramatic. Please come here, you won’t regret it.“
