Our reservation was for 8pm and we arrived fifteen minutes early and didn’t get sat until around 8:30-8:45 but Being that I also work in the food industry and it’s Covid times, I didn’t see it as a big deal. I do wish I had snacked before hand though! They did send edamame to our table for the inconvenience once we were finally sat though which was a super nice and unnecessary gesture. Also, the ambience is lovely and super romantic. The best sushi I have ever had. So light and flavorful. We even got some dessert and I have to say the mochi doughnuts were to die for - I wish the chocolate sauce for dipping had been dark chocolate but that’s my personal preference. The only negative thing I have to say is it is a little pricey so it won’t be a regular spot for me personally but definitely a place to check out for special events or date nights.”

Louisiana dishes at its best here In Durham - yes the Fried Catfish, red beans & rice might be a tad better with Andouille Sausage rather than ham but won’t quibble! Yum shrimp and grits. Beignets and key lime pie - how better to end a meal. Good selection of beer and masterful prepared SAZERAC! Sound level inside - tad loud, only negative. Thank you Manager Dana for our gift of Key Lime and more for guiding well trained, Attentive, skilled staff who advised, directed us in the menu and served well. Highly recommend Seraphine!”

Got there around 2pm on Thursday, not crowded. Their air conditioning had been messing up all day so the server sat us in a cooler area with a fan. He was very nice and friendly.
Took awhile for our orders to get out. When my crepe was delivered there was no hollandaise sauce. Once I added that, it was very good. The Hashbrowns cost extra and they were cold and stale tasting, like they had had freezer burn. Have to say, Waffle House does better on Hashbrowns.
We also ordered onion rings and shrimp. Very tasty! With tax and tip about $50 😬

The Linguine and Clams, this entree had the al dente linguine pasta with the white wine sauce and clams. Three of my party had this dish and let's just say it was all empty after dinner was done.
For dessert I had the single Banana rum napoleon. Surpringly it wasn't too sweet which is what I liked about it and the bananas were fresh as well.
The restaurant gives welcoming and classy vibes. The bathroom seemed recently updated and very clean as well. This was my second time here and let's say I will be returning to the restaurant if I am ever back in town.”

It had a wait but I can tell you most customers were ordering at least 3 plates. Everyone was enjoying the vibe and just relax. I rather wait on my food and make sure it right. I drove by at 4:47pm on Saturday and the line was out to the boa boa lunch buffet and when I got back at 6 pm there was a line to boa boa. I will be back and hope the folk who in a hurry realize they would wait an 30 min to hour to be seated and 45 min for the food to be prepared give this establishment some grace. The reason I’m passionate about this is when I got home, I was throughly impressed with my food and ate off my families plate. I glad my wife wanted to go. I would gladly stand in line again so I can get another chance to eat.”
