I do wish I had snacked before hand though! They did send edamame to our table for the inconvenience once we were finally sat though which was a super nice and unnecessary gesture. Also, the ambience is lovely and super romantic. The best sushi I have ever had. So light and flavorful. We even got some dessert and I have to say the mochi doughnuts were to die for - I wish the chocolate sauce for dipping had been dark chocolate but that’s my personal preference. The only negative thing I have to say is it is a little pricey so it won’t be a regular spot for me personally but definitely a place to check out for special events or date nights.”

I do wish I had snacked before hand though! They did send edamame to our table for the inconvenience once we were finally sat though which was a super nice and unnecessary gesture. Also, the ambience is lovely and super romantic. The best sushi I have ever had. So light and flavorful. I know from prior visits that Wheat can deliver on flavor. The chicken was very tender, the seasoning was a bit spicy, and I caught the vinegar notes that make a great kung pao. I missed the numbing buzz from Chinese peppercorns. Sugar's presence made itself known, sadly. Jalapenos were plenteous. I would prefer more toasted peanuts than jalapenos, but that's minor.
On previous visits I got the hainanese chicken which was gentle, soothing, and delicious. I'm going to remember it for those times I need a good protein but my tummy is hurting. Truly great medicine.”

I drove by at 4:47pm on Saturday and the line was out to the boa boa lunch buffet and when I got back at 6 pm there was a line to boa boa. I will be back and hope the folk who in a hurry realize they would wait an 30 min to hour to be seated and 45 min for the food to be prepared give this establishment some grace. The reason I’m passionate about this is when I got home, I was throughly impressed with my food and ate off my families plate. I glad my wife wanted to go. “Not only are they experienced and courteous as expected for being a coffee shop, they are truly professionals of their field. My wife and I did a coffee course the owner, Casey, offers and we were blown away with the knowledge and expertise she had. Although we just wanted to upgrade our coffee making at home, I feel as though I could open my own coffee shop thanks to the through training and easy-to-follow course. I definantly will recommend Mid-Bloom Coffee for anything, from training to simply getting a great latte.”

“Love the vibe here. The space is really unique and feels like a tropical escape right in Durham, especially in the evening. The drinks are a highlight, and the atmosphere is always fun and energetic. The food is interesting with some great options—loved their Holy Melon Shotopus, it was a standout for me. It can get pretty loud, but overall it’s a great spot for a night out.”
