The naans were super soft, the flavors were spot-on, and the service was top-notch from beginning to end. The food was from the Chapel Hill location. They also accommodated our dietary restrictions, like no onion or garlic, and they nailed it! They arrived on time and were super well-prepared! They also took care of all the details throughout the event and helped with everything towards the end. It was a huge relief to know that we could trust someone from start to finish. “One of the best lunch meals that I have ever had (and I'm kind of old and have been to a few places) - Chicken Shawarma was incredible - not even close to resembling the standard, americanized greek fast food. The chicken alone was very flavorful and perfectly spiced. Fries were equally unique and tasty. My daughter had hummus and it was top notch. We sat at the bar because we did not have reservations. Great service by the bartender. Premises were beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely make a special trip to eat here again when we are in NC.”

You know, I thought I was just ordering dinner, but what I really got was a front-row seat to the theater of fast-food failure.

And the McFlurry? Let’s just say it was more McPuddle. It melted faster than my faith in humanity, which is impressive considering how quickly McDonald's ice cream machines usually break in the first place.

But the real kicker? The sheer confidence with which this incomplete mess was handed over, as if I wouldn’t notice half my food was missing. I’ve seen more effort put into an “I’m sorry” text from a flaky friend.

McDonald's, I don’t expect fine dining, but I do expect the food I paid for. If you need help remembering that fries go with the meal, maybe hire a food coach or a motivational speaker—someone, anyone—to inspire basic competence.

My only complaint is that I ordered iced coffee (off-menu) and they charged $10 for it (and added dairy without saying, and I’m lactose intolerant). “If u can wait at a sit down restaurant; why not have the patience to wait for great food. Ordered the jerk wings, jerk chicken dinner, jerk shrimp with two sides and the Philly egg rolls. I’m reading theses comments and see folk just mad u had to wait. Staff was working churning out orders and I notice no one had an attitude except folk who want something quick fast in a hurry. It had a wait but I can tell you most customers were ordering at least 3 plates. Everyone was enjoying the vibe and just relax. I rather wait on my food and make sure it right. I drove by at 4:47pm on Saturday and the line was out to the boa boa lunch buffet and when I got back at 6 pm there was a line to boa boa. I will be back and hope the folk who in a hurry realize they would wait an 30 min to hour to be seated and 45 min for the food to be prepared give this establishment some grace. The reason I’m passionate about this is when I got home, I was throughly impressed with my food and ate off my families plate. I glad my wife wanted to go. I would gladly stand in line again so I can get another chance to eat.”

“Visiting from out of state. I wanted Jamaican cuisine. My aunt told us about your restaurant. I got the jerk bbq wings with fried plantains and also rice and peas. Hubby got the jerk chicken with baked mac and sweet yams. 10 out of 10 for everything. It was all DELICIOUS!! Very generous portions. We will be back when we're back in town. Thanks for feeding us!”

“Overall great. Great food, cocktails and service. Food came out fast. Just a few suggestions: need window treatments as the sun was beaming in through the large windows on a 100 degree day. We had to move. The bars on the entrance door were black steel and hard to touch due to the heat. Was noisy and hard to carry on a convo due to the high ceilings. Could use some sound proofing.”

“Finally Del is here and it is legit! Everything tastes just as it should. The staff is always working hard, the inside is always clean, and your food comes out quick. I had an issue with a cashier not knowing how to charge some items, so I was overcharged. I hope that’s just a training issue and will be solved in time. I can’t be mad, they’re brand new and killing it. I hope they stay open for 100 years.”

Boxyard is a fun environment too! It's kid and pet friendly. Plenty of parking in the mornings!

They had a nice selection of cakes, but the only one that seemed to go with breakfast was the lemon cake. Not a lot of food options. The TV screen menus were hard to read in the morning because the sun was shining on them; fortunately they had paper menus.

Everything was served in a ToGo paper cup.

Alex, the barista, was really nice, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She also made delicious coffee! It was a perfectly pulled espresso shot using Counter Culture beans.”

The cheesesteak was way bigger than I expected😀 so I shared it with my dad. It was sooooo good. So glad I had free time to check him out, you should too.”
