“Be prepared to wait but the time went by fast, 1st time trying this business today, I must say the cinnamon roll french toast was very very good! You can tell that they are freshly made. My husband pancakes were huge, he couldn’t eat them all!! I say that to say you definitely get your money worth and the drinks(OJ) are in a nice side cup. We wasn’t a fan of the dutch fries I think that’s what they was. Next time we will have to try a different style of potatoes. They were busy from the time we got there until the time we left. Our waitress was friendly as well!!“

“There aren't a lot of restaurant options in Kinston, but Byrd's seems to be thriving. It was too early for lunch so I decided on Byrd's, well, since it was open. The parking lot was packed and their sign read: Home of the Million Dollar Biscuit. Man oh man, yes, this biscuit was like no other biscuit I have ever eaten. It was 80% biscuit and 20% roll, giving it a biscuit, bready, yeast roll texture. It was fantastic. The girl on the line working told me she preferred link sausage, so I ordered link sausage, mustard and hot sauce. Amazeballs. I will always plan my drives to involve biscuit time any time I am around the area and you should too.“

“Did a great breakfast. Not my normal haunt but seem like the only open sit down cooked breakfast joint on a Monday. Crowded, which says a lot. Sat at the bar. Service was fast, food appeared quickly, cooked right, and the hash browns were crunchy! Kind of expensive. Eggs meat hashbrowns toast coffee and a tip totalling nearly $14....“

“The service and food were outstanding. The server was attentive, courteous, and non invasive. The salad bar was marvelous from end to end along with the soups, bread and cheese spread. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and were tender and flavorful. It was a 5 star dinning experience and we are looking forward to coming back next year.“

“Great stop off for a quick lunch with friendly ladies at the counter to chat with. Went with their hot dog "all the way" & it was the classic diner chili dog I hoped it would be. Also tried their cheesesteak & fries based on their recommendation. Crinkle cut fries were cooked fresh to order & seasoned well. The cheesesteak was done up right on their griddle, with peppers/onions smothered in cheese. Recommend it myself & I will be back for sure“

“Since Gage has taken over management my husband and I have seen the best improvement. The food quality is top notch and the staff goes above and beyond. Over the years we’ve had an average experience going out to eat here but it was nothing special. Now we find ourselves wanting to make this our usual spot and we will be going back very soon.“
