“Abugida is the best Ethiopian in Charlotte, the food is made fresh everyday. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. If you haven't tried Ethiopian, they will help you with the menu. This food is amazing and their injera is always fresh and delicious. Always order coffee!“

“I have been going there for years. Known for great food and service. This time , the cleaners were still cleaning the floors with copious bleach that permeated the small space. Very off putting. The server came by every minute wanted us to order and we finally had to tell her we need 5 minutes. Food was good but portions have definitely shrunk in size.“

We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.“

“This is a great place to stop for a quick and tasty soda. All of their drink flavors are unique and I like that they offer drinks with energy drink bases as well. Their sugar cookies are also pretty rad and a good size. My favorite flavors would probably have to be Mama's Stuff or Hug. Great spot and I think they have two separate locations now!“

“4/2021 Best breakfast! You will find something you love. The grits? Oh my!4/27/22 I visited again while dropping vehicle off to be fixed. This place has great homemade biscuits made to order. The presentation is amazing and coffee super tasty! I mix half dark roast with blonde/amber roast blend. This is breakfast, lunch, or dinner for me. Check for opening and closing times. I ordered today egg biscuit and their specialty chicken biscuit with spicy jelly. Wowza! They never disappoint. We took portions of chocolate bread pudding home to eat, goodness gracious! “We arrived about 11;00 got seated very quickly we ordered chicken and waffles they were served to our table and had a big hair laying right on top, we told the waitress who was really embarrassed and. Reply, this is my third one we also ordered an egg Omelette when it was delivered to our table it had egg shells in it. We were given credit for the omelette but nothing about the hair. The gravy biscuit was delicious also the coffee. Disappointed in everything else.“

I bought from salted melon since they sometimes have the products in stock. I tried the protein Twix bar and my socks have been knocked off! “Deli St has become my go to place for breakfast, lunch, and tacos! Their menu is extensive and vegan choices are plentiful. I have never tried anything I didn’t like here. The place is super cozy and nice with local art and cool plants. Outdoor and indoor seating so that you can enjoy our beautiful Charlotte weather when possible (almost all the time). “Always on the lookout for a meadery, Buzzed popped up and was right on our travel path. The facility is quite large with lots of seating and a serving kitchen so many folks were eating meals. While it is a meadery, it offers a wide variety of products. We did tastings and found the Meadow Foam mead extraordinary. It was unfortunate that there was a sales restrctions on mead as we wanted to buy bottles to take home, but their supply was limited to on sale only due to a production issue. Definitely would visit again when in the area.“

“I have always been interested in trying a sushi burrito after seeing them across the internet in past years. So, when I came across King Fish Poke, it seemed like the perfect place to try to them out! I ordered the Braveheart sushi burrito and added avocado and seaweed salad. Everything was super fresh and tasted great! It's not super functional so I would probably stick to poke bowls in the future, but I was happy that I got to try it out! The service was great and friendly and the food was delicious so all the more reasons to stop in here and check it out.“

“This place is an important part of our history. My husband I used to live nearby and have spent many days and evenings here. We would bike through the neighbourhoods and stop by for refreshments, delicious food and the wonderful open and welcoming vibe. From the seating areas, to the arrangements of shelves, décor, and staff, everything seems lively yet peaceful, funky yet authentic. Once I seemed a little sad about my sandwich order being wrong, but one of the owners noticed and walked up to me. They made it right and gave us a couple punches on our card for next time (the punches count towards free food items). He is also one my favorite people there, he seems to have a deadpan expression but when you talk to him, you find how kind, funny and nice he is. Once he helped me make a really nice cup of tea and showed me his ice cube trick so the tea could steep evenly and the boiling hot water wouldn't scald it :) . We have also enjoyed hanging out at the bar and have had great conversations with bartenders who happen to be really cool people. The fridge is also always filled with really interesting drinks and the sammiches are SOO delicious! I haven't been here in a while but can't wait to stop by again!“

“My wife and I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and Yellow Chicken Curry with Thai Tea. While my wife's curry was a bit spicy (she ordered no spicy), she loved the taste. My wife also said the Thai Tea was delicious. The chicken fried rice was excellent as well.Our service was excellent. Although our server initially brought our the wrong drink (these things happen anywhere and everywhere), the issue was corrected immediately and a new drink was brought out swiftly. We were even given to-go boxes and to-go drinks while we prepared to depart, so that our requested refills didn't go to waste.The indoor architecture and decorations are beautiful. The soft music inside adds to the already relaxing atmosphere. We loved the overall feel of the venue.“

We placed a second order, this time double check our location and that we ordered from this specific location. We received our pizza after a short wait, and as bonus he threw in a second pizza free of charge since we placed the first order in Virginia ?, even though we are in Concord, NC. Moral of the story double check you have the correct location and if you are patroning this location please know the food will be amazing, the service top notch and family friendly. “Rachel's place is a great option for family breakfast! They have a good assortment of options both savory and sweet plus a kids menu for the little ones (10 and under). Our server was great and multiple people checked in on us throughout the meal. Everything arrived quickly and was delicious. I got the veggie breakfast wrap which was stuff full of veggies, eggs, and black beans. Hubby got the breakfast quesadilla and little one got the pancakes and bacon. Overall a great experience for a casual weekend breakfast.“
