The menu was great for burgers, onion rings, slaw and other interesting sides. Most importantly, the people, owner and staff were great. They all spoke to us as did other patrons . Impressive southern hospitality by all. Can’t wait to return to try other items on the menu. It brought back memories of childhood days.“

“turkey Rueben was good but not great, the kraut was only in the middle of the sandwich so when cut in half it was a little bit on each side but if you don't really like the kraut- this is perfect to get the flavor but not the actual kraut - the bread was great and the turkey was good! “What a lucky find!! This pub is a great place to grab a meal, have a meeting, and enjoy the environment. The seating is spacious and the staff are very attentive. I had a plentiful meal for lunch and with all the selections, I’m sure I’ll be back to try other selections. There is indoor and outdoor seating and they are right in the heart of downtown Matthews so you can definitely make an afternoon of all that is close by. They have monthly specials so be sure to put this on your list!“

The traditional burger was simple yet delicious, prepared exactly to my liking and presented beautifully. Paired with a baked sweet potato, it was a delightful meal. The smash burger, served with CB7 sauce and grilled onions, was equally impressive. The presentation, appropriately wrapped in aluminum foil, added to the experience. I found it to be incredibly tasty, especially when paired with the sweet potato waffle fries. The service was top-notch, with super friendly staff who were helpful in guiding my choices. “Better than the one on Independence, this spot has a diner vibe. Very fresh ingredients, and friendly people. I will say that my 4 stars come from the place, and the people, but the food is only 3.5. Diner environment, very cool. Sundrop...cool. 4.5 stars Hot, friendly, and fresh, even if not amazing food...The dogs and the double burger are solid. I will be back because of the feel, and I will enjoy the food because it's hot and solid.“
