“We were passing through town looking for breakfast after an early morning flight. Decided to stop here based on past reviews, and we were not disappointed! This place has been open for 65 years, and I'm guessing it's in the original building, so don't expect fancy. This is what some might consider a "hole in the wall." Despite that, this is down-home food, served hot and fast by friendly, sweet, hard-working staff. It was packed when we arrived at 10:00, but a table opened up pretty quickly. They cook with butter and the toast is better for it. Their biscuits are easily 4 inches in diameter. Our coffee never got cold. The ham and cheese omelette was fantastic, but I did have a little envy when I saw someone else's blueberry waffle pass our table. We enjoyed our stop here and would happily go back if we're in the area again.“
“Humphreys Ridge is a small private campground, with a boat dock for the Belews Lake, and a small grill for a quick bite. This is a small mini community with most trailers permanently parked and setup, rented yearly. So far they have made me feel welcome. The grill is all 1970's and reminds me of places from years gone by when things were much more simple. The menu is hot dogs, hamburgers, and simple sandwiches. They have some ice cream to cool down on a hot day. The service was friendly enough. Everything is cooked to order. It was ok, nothing wrong with it. If you are here on the lake, and want to just pull your boat up to one of the docks and grab a bite. There aren't many options for that here so it is very convenient. All in all I would recommend this place. Especially if you are on the lake and want something to eat!!“
“My wife and I ate here during our time house sitting for my in laws. We went on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. It became our favorite place to eat in the area. We loved everything we had. We also liked that the food is fresh and sourced locally. The fish and grits were amazing. The grits were creamy and decadent, and the fish was fried to perfection. My wife is a crab dip connoisseur. She can be serious about it. She loved it. The oysters were fresh and tasty and the shrimp was amazing. The desert was also delicious. We liked it so much, we ordered to go the next day. The service was also great. We chatted with our server and she made recommendations. She was friendly and helpful. We also chatted with regulars, who gave recommendations and high reviews. If you have not been, I highly recommend going asap.“
“We always love lunch at the Village Tavern! The patio is so nice and we always receive great service!Kid-friendliness: We always bring our infant with us in her stroller and it’s never been a problem. They are also very accommodating when it comes to needing hot water (to warm bottles in)!“
“Great fresh fish with creative plates that try to match certain flavors with the type of fish that is served. The mussels were good, I’d recommend ordering just those instead of the mix with clams which I didn’t know was possible at first. I do wish they had rice as one of the sides. I ended up ordered mashed sweet potatoes which were ok but a bit heavy on the ginger. Rice just compliments fish so well and it should be added to the menu!“
“Never had anything but awesome old fashioned service! Food always delicious Feel like i have gone home for Sunday dinner This place is truly a gem hiding in the mountains Not modern Not fancy Just great comfort food with great friendly service“
“The food and service was great!! If you’re looking for a family owned, southern cooking restaurant, this is it!I ordered the tenderloin, deviled eggs, and potato cakes with buck bread for dessert. The potato cakes and buck bread were phenomenal!I don’t think you’ll be disappointed stopping here for lunch. The staff was very nice! We came in at 1:30, they close at 2, and they let us sit there till at least 2:30 still serving us. They were super kind and made it a good experience!“
“The gem is tucked away in the shopping center off Battleground with Trader Joe's and Gold's Gym. My hubby and I had just completed a workout, so what better thing to do then get some food immediately after. Hey, we earned it. I hadn't been here before, but my husband spoke highly of it. I like sandwiches so was game. There was a good amount of people in line on a Saturday so a good sign. It's a simple restaurant. You order at the corner. Most get their subs to go, like we did, but they do have some tables if you wanna eat there. First thing I noticed was they had a lot of options. Truly a sub for any preference. They had the classics like Reuben, Meatball, and cold cuts as well as more unique offering like Buffalo Chicken Ranch and Gyro. You could come here often and try something new each time. I went classic for my first visit and got an Italian footlong on wheat. You can get a 6" or 12". I noticed that my 12" was actually going to be two 6" sandwiches. While this surprised me at first, I kind of liked it. It probably helped to motivate me to stop eating after I consumed the first one and save the other for the next day. The Italian was available cold or toasted and I could add any available toppings and sauces I wanted. They have all the standard options but some fancy extras like roasted red peppers. I got those as well as provolone, lettuce, onion, and oil and vinegar. Our subs were quickly assembled, wrapped up, and given to us to enjoy at home. The staff were efficiently and friendly. There is nothing fancy about these subs and the photos may not be the most exciting, but it was a tasty sandwich. The various meats on my Italian were good and the veggies fresh. They did not skimp on any ingredients and as I said a 6" was enough to fill me up. The other 6" also heated nicely to be enjoyed the next day. My husband got the Chicken Philly. I took a few bites and it was also good. I can see why the Sub Spot is a popular place and if you just wan't a good simple sub, it's a solid option.“
“We tried this place for the first time this weekend after hearing a lot of good things, and we were absolutely not disappointed! Despite being very busy, the restaurant had a nice, chill vibe to it. Our server was very friendly, quick with anything we needed, and our drinks stayed full. She recommended a boneless wing sauce to my husband that turned out to make for the best boneless wings we've ever had (and his standards for those are sky high). The chicken was fresh, tender, and the bourbon molasses sauce was absolutely delicious. The fried pickles as an app were good - the batter would have benefitted from a little more seasoning, and overall a little more flavor would have made them perfect, but overall enjoyable! I got a grilled chicken club, which I really enjoyed. The croissant was fluffy and soft, and the grilled chicken itself was perfectly cooked. The fries were awesome - well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and crispy. Every plate that went by us to another table looked phenomenal too...next time, I'm definitely interested in trying a flat bread and the salad bar!“
“I was blown away by the burgers and milkshakes. I haven't tasted anything like that in years. I ordered something close to what I normally eat and I don't know what they do with the grill but the meat had the best taste ever and was crispy and juicy. Not thick but definitely not smash burgers. And I almost hate to say this, but the cookie butter milkshake was worth the $8. I'm sold and coming back for seconds.“
“This is definitely a southern diner vibe. Food was excellent--breakfast is served all day! And the service, even though it was very busy, was timely and acceptable. I had the "route 66 diner" breakfast, and it was more than I could eat. I recommend this restaurant the next time you're in or close to Kernersville, NC.“
“Had lunch here for the first time today. Had the BBQ pimento cheese burger and is was fantastic. Great service, prices, wide menu selection and the service is great and entertaining. Only a few small tables for eat in but what a great hidden gem!“
“Great food. I had the popcorn shrimp, and it was cooked perfectly, crispy, not overcooked like some places do now. The baked potato was excellent. The iced tea with lemon was the perfect compliment to the shrimp. We go here regularly, and consistently recommend it to friends and family.“
“I love this place. It's a really neat little diner. Neat little fact is long ago it used to be the alley between the two building and the original owner was able to close in the alley and turn it into another building. Fast forward to today, now a great local place. I haven't been to anything but breakfast and it's one of the best for a down home breakfast.“
“Last night was my first visit, and the food was excellent. Will come back. "The barge" fed my wife and buddy as well as me, and we were all quite well fed. The mussels, oysters, clams, snow crab, shrimp, and scallops were all expertly steamed. Nothing is overdone, which is unusual when it comes to seafood these days. The personnel was really attentive and kind. Large groups shouldn't go because the majority of the seats are at the bar.“
“This never happens… I put in an online, pickup order for 14 people yesterday. Not only was it 100% correct, everyone LOVED the food. This rarely happens when ordering for a large group so I have to give the highest compliment to Rodys. Thank you for making this group very happy! A job well done for sure!“
“Small little place. Food is really good. From burgers and fries to a meat and 2 vegetables, it's all very good. Served hot and fresh. Service is ok. You order and sit and then pay on the way out so other than bringing food and the occasional drink refill, that's about it.“
“Great evening out for the whole family! Delicious southern cooking. Friendly service. Clean and homey atmosphere. Amazing blue grass band. We stayed for 2 hours because it felt like a full blown concert... the band just kept playing! It was great! :)“
“The only restaurant with excellent varities of salads, main dishes, sides, and desserts ! Each and every selection is perfectly prepared. A relaxed atmosphere that offers a fantastic location for one to dine in or for families, and groups to meet where everyone can create their very own meal, which is perfection in eating out.“
“From the first bite of their delicious fish tacos to the last crispy fry, Melt Restaurant melted our hearts! The spinach dip was creamy perfection, the mozzarella sticks were gooey and satisfying, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. A must-visit spot for a fun and scrumptious meal in Greensboro!“
“Every time we are in Stokesdale we make every effort to have at least one meal at Bistro 150. Jennifer the owner is a wonderful and warm host to all her customers. All her meals be it breakfast , lunch or dinner are always extremely delicious. We hight recommend if you’ve not already done so you plan an outing at Bistro 150!!“
“Quietly Best way to Travel to NC.I love Piedmont Triad International airport. I have been to many destinations both domestic and international airport. But hire is easiest departures and arrivals. Car rental are within premises so don’t need to get the shuttle at all. Free Luggage Cart is big plus travellers like me with 2 checked in Bag. This must the only Airport as far as I know will not charge $8 for Luggage cart. free cart big plus. Airport staff are so helpful sure to made your day.“
“Excellent and friendly service. A very quaint spot with a horseshoe bar. The tables are close-set suggesting a family atmosphere. The buffalo cauliflower was a great start to our meal. The eggplant was delicious. It had crunch and just enough cheese. The sauce was thick and clinged to the pasta. Their sausage was very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her Linguine Pescatore and commented on the home-made taste of the linguine. The Tiramisu was the only disappointment and the Crème brûlée was 86 at 8:00 pm. The menu is extensive and we'll return to sample more. Many pizzas were being had at the surrounding tables - I'll have to give it a try too. Our bill was $89, with tip, but we sampled a lot since it was our first time.“
“AMAZING!! hands down the best breakfast in Kernersville. The huevos rancheros literally changed my entire life. I would eat it for every meal every day if I could. From the ambience to the customer service to the food, I cannot recommend this place enough!! We will be visiting here frequently for sure!!!“
“This is one of my favorite places to grab something quick! I am obsessed with the Spicy Cilantro Chicken Pizza and the cauliflower crust is life! The service is quick but the food is fresh, and it's a very casual place. Always a win, and I highly recommend!!“
“I moved to Kernersville in May and have had take out from here. It's not directly on my way home from work, but it's literally 5 minutes away from home so it's an easy diversion. Good menu selection and quick, courteous service. Went for breakfast this morning and wasn't disappointed. Quick service, pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be back.“
“I have not eaten here yet but I’m hoping this weekend I just heard about this place. I literally live 10 minutes from it, everybody I know loves this place.. so I’m gonna put 5’s all across-the-board.. if something changes? I’ll do another review but I doubt it will. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place and their pizza! But I have to laugh, I wouldn’t think a place named Bill’s would be that great.. I mean I’m Italian,So I think of a good Italian name, but maybe that’s the Lure? Haha“
“They have limited their menu items, but what is available is delicious. The salads are crisp and fresh; the wings are crispy and saucy; the hamburgers are juicy and well seasoned. We enjoy their pizza and pastas also. A great place for reasonably priced, tasty meals, with excellent service.“
“I was in the neighborhood on business for a few days and some of the folks at the company I was working with insisted we get lunch brought in from the Low Price Mart which was just a couple blocks away. They all raved about the burgers here so I followed suit and got a cheeseburger with mustard, chili, slaw and onions. My burger was ok, nothing really spectacular, barely a spoonful of chili and a tiny amount of slaw to be found with not much flavor, actually a bit if a disappointment after all they hype I had been hearing from these folks about their burgers, some of the other folks got the double bacon cheeseburger which did look way better than mine. So then they all wanted to hit the Low Price Mart a second time in the week and I knew I wasn't taking the burger route again so I went with the Philly Chicken Sandwich and that one was really a home run. It was a really great sandwich with great flavors loaded with chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese on a nice sub roll...2 stars for my burger and 5 stars for the Philly Chicken.“
“They serve breakfast all day, but we couldn't get coffee at 2pmish? A bit of a language barrier with the server, as far as ordering food, but it came out quick and hot for standard midday breakfast fare. I will definitely be back to try their burrito specials that were listed.Parking: Way too easy to overshoot if you are using Google.“
“I am very pleasantly surprised with my experience at The Local! With it being the only option in my terminal, my expectations were quite low. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it tasted extremely fresh and enjoyable. The portion was also quite big making it reasonable at $13.“
“I’m a frequent customer. Fresh fish and prompt service. I really like their popcorn shrimp. Prices are fair. The only complaint I have is that they took the sweet potato casserole off the menu and they don’t have that many sides choices.“
“Good Lexington style BBQ-- I mean they pole it high -- Red slaw was very good as well -- I love the hushpuppy rings -- Thus place is on Higway 66 just south of Caltain Tom's in Kernersville -- it's been there forever and for some reason this was my very first visit -- I will be returning and I highly recommend it -- I prefer this place way more than Prissy Pollys which is up 66 from there a little ways --“
“American diner with home style food. Our waitress was Tonya, and she was amazing. Efficient, fast, and observant. The food is good for diner food. Comes out quickly and generous portions. The place is plain, but very clean. I can not say one bad thing about it.Parking: Huge parking lotKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly if your kids are old enough to behave. It isn't Chuck E Cheese, but no one is going to mind if your child is talking or playing quietly at the table.“
“BJ'S Grill has been a long time grill with delicious food and fantastic service!!!! I had one of their Thursday specials tonight ...Meg's homemade meatloaf .... which was out of this world delicious....you don't know what you're missing til you try it!!!! And of course all the sides to go with were delicious too!!!????“
