“After driving 5 hours, I was looking for a good steak. The hotel I was staying at in Wilson, North Carolina, told me I had to drive 30 miles for a steakhouse.
After doing a Google search, I found Pups Steakhouse, which was only 5.4 miles from where I was staying.
Upon pulling in, I did not think anything much about the entrance other than how inviting and cute it was, near Food Lion. It was a Friday night. I found a seat comfortably at the bar. Immediately I was greeted and was able to give my drink and food order to the bartender. The service was excellent, and the food came out very fast. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The asparagus was delicious and the baked potato was spot on! The glass of Chianti I had with my meal was delicious. After I boxed up The remaining of my meal I headed to the back patio upon a servers suggestion. I was blown away. The atmosphere was just sublime after a 5 Hour Drive. It was relaxing and Kris was so inviting! She told me all about the Restaurant and the area of Wilson, NC. She made me feel right at home and never neglected any of my needs while I sat there, listening to an amazing singer. I travel between Georgia and Baltimore at least every other month. This will now be my go to stop.

“I have been coming here very consistently since they have opened and I always order the same exact 2 items, at one point I was going every single day for weeks on end and the coffee was always wonderful as well as the people. Lately that has completely changed…one day this past month I spent 20 min in line waiting for a coffee, got my coffee and when I went to drink it, it had a sour taste and absolutely not sugar or sweetener or flavor and it was a large coffee I paid $6.14 cents for which I always pay for a large. I called to ask about it and they said they were training new people and just “sorry” for that..there’s almost $7 I just wasted…and then today I go back and get a medium instead of a large and what’s the price? $6.14…so I told them I ordered a medium coffee not a large this time and they responded with “oh yeah our prices went up” that wasn’t listed anywhere for me to see that I noticed and now I suspect a large coffee is almost $8?! No thank you. I might as well go to Starbucks at that point…I’ve spent well over $800 in coffee at that place since they opened with how much I went previously. Coffee should not be that expensive especially when it’s not even going to be made right or replaced when it isn’t made correctly.
This place was a good place but I feel like it’s going downhill lately.
Employees are still always polite though I will say that.
EDITED: I still frequent this coffee location when I want a treat for myself and again the staff is the best part of this place they are always so nice and friendly. I think the prices are just too high but I changed my rating from 3-4 stars because I still think they are a great coffee place, just too expensive now”

The service is great, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. it is a small place and there was a wait, but I was alone so I sat right down at the bar. But this would absolutely be worth whatever the wait would have been. Highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant.”

“Taqueria Guerrero is a must-try! The gentleman working was super friendly, offered great suggestions, and even joked around with us, making the experience even better. We ordered street taco, sopes, burrito with hibiscus and cantaloupe drinks—everything was fresh and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!”

“flo's used to be amazing. won't go back. ordered 5 biscuits all with cheese. only 2 had cheese after driving on my 15 minute break at work all the way there because they wouldn't answer the phone, ordering , and waiting. when I got back to shop saw the only thing right in the order was my sweet tea. nothing like being charged for something I didn't get. I don't have time to run all the way back. just threw away my biscuit because was frustrated and disgusted.”

“I went to Something Different with 2 friends today, my first time coming here. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. If you like a restaurant with loud, blaring music and too much noise and crowded with loud people, this is not the place for you. The food was outstanding. The pricing is on par with other places, unless you are wanting to pay McDonald’s prices. The tables had white table cloths, the people were so nice, and it was QUIET!!!! The music was soft, not loud, etc. I had the chicken salad sandwich, and it was perfect. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!!”

The fried mushrooms had an appreciated thicker crust and not too watery. The marinara was fantastic.
The Amore was the best of the night. Good bites of shrimp and thinly cut sausage.
My only dislikes were the garlic bread (not enough garlic for my taste, floppy) and the pasta with the Amore tasted a bit bland.
Last thought is the cheesecake was a proper, big slice and creamy.

Otherwise, attentive service and good food. I'll be coming back.”

“This is by far the best pizza I've gotten in Wilson or actually anywhere lately. Very thick crust with a sweet taste to the bread and pizza sauce. We got a bacon pizza and there was lots of bacon on top. Lots of cheese and not overly done with sauce like some places. We got a medium pizza and it was only $8.35, unbelievable for that quality of pizza. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.”

“Honestly a bit surprised by this place. Not advertised much and the parking lot in front was absolutely dead when I went. Me, my wife, and a single server were the only ones there at like 6pm on a Friday.

Service was polite, quick, and helpful. The dining and bar areas were quite clean (and I'm a health inspector so I look for things); it was dead while I was there but it looks like it could be busy on certain days/nights and has a large karaoke setup.

Food itself was good/solid but not mind-blowing. The steamed cabbage was legit the best thing I had there--no disrespect because I love steamed cabbage. Mac and cheese was good.

The brisket had a good flavor but wasn't very tender. The ribs were good and had a good texture. My wife got chicken that she said was great. The only real downside is that if you get sauce on the side (or no sauce) then the meat was underseasoned. They seem to rely on the sauce to make sure there is enough salt. Dipped in sauce? Fantastic. Without sauce? A bit bland.

Knowing this for the future I wouldn't turn down a chance to come here.”

“One of the reasons I miss wilson is Italian Pizza and Subs. Their Stromboli was formative to my youth and helped me become the person I am today. They have been there for me through troubled times and I have a great respect for the folks who work there. When I was a child, it was always a treat to be able to get a family sized Stromboli from here and watch a movie we could pick up from the blockbuster over by Vinson Bynum. It's a living memory to me now. I love not only the food, but what thus restaurant represents to me.”
