“After driving 5 hours, I was looking for a good steak. The hotel I was staying at in Wilson, North Carolina, told me I had to drive 30 miles for a steakhouse.
After doing a Google search, I found Pups Steakhouse, which was only 5.4 miles from where I was staying.
Upon pulling in, I did not think anything much about the entrance other than how inviting and cute it was, near Food Lion. It was a Friday night. I found a seat comfortably at the bar. Immediately I was greeted and was able to give my drink and food order to the bartender. The service was excellent, and the food came out very fast. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The asparagus was delicious and the baked potato was spot on! The glass of Chianti I had with my meal was delicious. After I boxed up The remaining of my meal I headed to the back patio upon a servers suggestion. I was blown away. The atmosphere was just sublime after a 5 Hour Drive. It was relaxing and Kris was so inviting! She told me all about the Restaurant and the area of Wilson, NC. She made me feel right at home and never neglected any of my needs while I sat there, listening to an amazing singer. I travel between Georgia and Baltimore at least every other month. This will now be my go to stop.

“This little place is almost about the halfway point between Richmond VA and Sunset Beach NC. We have been stopping there for years both ways. The food is simple but absolutely delicious. Nice touch with the malt vinegar on the tables for fries. If you are passing through it is a must-try and you may become a regular as we have.”

The service is great, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. it is a small place and there was a wait, but I was alone so I sat right down at the bar. “I went to Something Different with 2 friends today, my first time coming here. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. If you like a restaurant with loud, blaring music and too much noise and crowded with loud people, this is not the place for you. The food was outstanding. The pricing is on par with other places, unless you are wanting to pay McDonald’s prices. The tables had white table cloths, the people were so nice, and it was QUIET!!!! The music was soft, not loud, etc. I had the chicken salad sandwich, and it was perfect. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!!”

“flo's used to be amazing. won't go back. ordered 5 biscuits all with cheese. only 2 had cheese after driving on my 15 minute break at work all the way there because they wouldn't answer the phone, ordering , and waiting. when I got back to shop saw the only thing right in the order was my sweet tea. nothing like being charged for something I didn't get. I don't have time to run all the way back. just threw away my biscuit because was frustrated and disgusted.”

“I love Parker’s but I have one suggestion, when you order take out, they put the slaw, potatoes and stew in the plate loose, and it runs together…and the slaw is warm, Greenville Parker’s put the sides in individual containers to keep it from running together..”

“Had my first experience with Nards this morning at the Wilson farmer market. The sign said ribeye sandwich… I said I’ll have one of those please with peppers and onions. Little did I know I was going to get a FULL ribeye on garlic toast. THE BEST SANDWICH IVE PUT IN MY MOUTH IN A LONG TIME. Can’t wait to go back next weekend.”

The fried mushrooms had an appreciated thicker crust and not too watery. The marinara was fantastic.
The Amore was the best of the night. Good bites of shrimp and thinly cut sausage.
My only dislikes were the garlic bread (not enough garlic for my taste, floppy) and the pasta with the Amore tasted a bit bland.
Last thought is the cheesecake was a proper, big slice and creamy.

Otherwise, attentive service and good food. I'll be coming back.”

“One of the reasons I miss wilson is Italian Pizza and Subs. Their Stromboli was formative to my youth and helped me become the person I am today. They have been there for me through troubled times and I have a great respect for the folks who work there. When I was a child, it was always a treat to be able to get a family sized Stromboli from here and watch a movie we could pick up from the blockbuster over by Vinson Bynum. It's a living memory to me now. I love not only the food, but what thus restaurant represents to me.”

“By far one of the best Taco Bells I have been to. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Chili Cheese Burritto on the menu. It is a thing of legends! I haven't had one since I lived in AZ, then then discontinued it almost everywhere. The only Taco Bells I had heard of having them were just one or 2 in CA. I will be back for sure! The 2 girls at the counter were very nice as I was geeking out over my long lost burrito, the place was clean and all the food we had that day was well prepared.”
