“This is a very friendly, very welcoming local bar with a good selection of food. Nothing fancy, but this is not a fancy place. It's come as you are, relax and feel at home. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be thrilled either, this is good hardy fair at its best.“

“Anchor Inn saved my party!!!! We had a house party planned for 16 people. 1 hour before guests were supposed to arrive, our street got flooded out in Ocean Gate. We called Anchor Inn and they happily accommodated our party of 16 just 45 minutes later!! Everyone arrived at the restaurant and our party was being served efficiently. We all really enjoyed our big variety of meals such as pizzas, eggplant rollatini, ravioli, lasagna, etc. they let us bring our own birthday cake and didn’t even charge us a serving fee for it. No one does that anymore and so we wanted everyone to know how wonderful this place was for us, and how incredibly stressed out we were before they saved the day. Thank you so much Anchor Inn management, chef, and servers!!!!“

“On the price:value axis, this place has it going ON.The carbonara I got wasn't a true carbonara, more an Alfredo with bacon, but honestly I like my pasta saucy so no complaints here!It was delicious. Portions fabulous. For the $20 I paid, I got 2 meals of pasta.My waitress was busy AF but on point. She always glanced at me as she passed and knew what I needed and just kept the flow going. Wish I knew her name. Thank you ?Busy, vibrant, fun spot. The kind of place you walk in a stranger and walk out with a new bar buddy.“

“So- we’re going to go to Stone Fire, but they were closed so we decided to try this.Well this was a huge win!Great little pub atmosphere. Dave the bartender was our server, which was great service.I had the Jambalaya & my fiancé had a cheeseburger, and the food was terrific!Will definitely be back!!!!!“

“Loved my experience at Red Fox. Nice to have this spot right off the beach at Island Beach State Park. Very popular so it does get crowded, but for good reason. Nice to have draft specials in the middle of the day. And a raw bar w great clams.“

“First time, went with my wife sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon.Lunch Specials fantastic. Beer offerings nice. Prices of everything well within GREAT.Service at the bar by a French girl named Barday... also known as Nicole. Extraordinary personality and efficiency. Everything and more one would want in a bartender.Highly recommend.“

“If you keep it simple here you'll be fine. Picnic table seating and a decent burger make the Chop Shop a very smart low-key choice when in the always sketchy Seaside Heights vicinity. Remember to go to the Chop Shop serving food instead of the numerous shops in the area dismantling your 2022 Camry. A very solid burger. Four, very solid stars.“

“This place has amazing food in a beautiful location….on the beach! Chef Mike was so gracious and generous when he agreed to have our wedding at his restaurant. The staff were amazing! Food was incredible and if I had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you for making our day so special!“

“So today I am at MJ‘s restaurant, bar and Grill in Bayville, New Jersey for lunch with a friend. This building is located right on the bay, on a clear day. It would’ve been much prettier, but heavy ground fog was hanging around everywhere.I had never been here before and told the sushi was the best in that area so me and my friend Bob decided to go there for lunch. He had been there many times and highly recommended it. The only issue was that the sushi part doesn’t open until 4 PM and it was just noon when we got there.So it ended up being a really nice hamburger for me, and chicken wings for Bob, which looked absolutely great, and he says they are very good there.The service is stuck out the young man who is the server was on the spot didn’t bother us. We were there for three hours, talking and catching up. It had been nearly 20 years since we had seen each other and it was amazing how we took off just as we did Back then. The atmosphere was light for a lunch crowd, so nobody was chasing us out the door for a spot, so our server came around when he thought we needed something he was perfect absolutely perfect and that would be the highlight of this meal. Cause good service is not, easy to find.Here’s a couple videos just looking around the place and a few food shots.I’m coming back for the sushi and I think the rating is going to go way up. And I can say that was the only thing that I could complain about, but if we had searched it, we would’ve known 4 o’clock with sushi hour. That was on me.Yes, I’m coming back here, not sure when but I think pretty soon I’ll add anything to this review but it was nice I can see how when that place is packed it’s pretty big and the noise level of my climb drastically but I still don’t think you’d have any problem hearing each other across the booth.Give it a try, I recommended, and that’s only by having a burger but man and wings look good.
