“They did an amazing job on my daughter’s unicorn birthday cake, it literally took my breath away when I saw it! My 4 year old had the same reaction! My daughter is allergic to sesame and tree nuts, so I’m thrilled to have found this bakery for all of her celebration cakes!“
“I love coming here ! The food & pastries are sooo delicious, and the service is great! Definitely 10/10Vegetarian options: This is a vegan bakery.Kid-friendliness: Very sweet and patient with my daughter while she decided on what she wanted“
“Mr. Luzi Friedman was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He helped me plan a great menu and the set up and service was excellent. He always answered my calls and was accommodating to all of my requests. A true professional with excellent customer service! Thank you Mr. Friedman for a beautiful event !“
“We checked out Noi Due Gelato - was worth every penny, every calorie, every gram of fat! The staff were so attentive and charming, and we got to taste test some of the flavors we weren't sure about committing to. I would recommend and even tell dieters "YOLO!" A terrific occasional treat to splurge on!“
“I went back to Liebman's Kosher Delicatessen & Restaurant today, 10/18/2023 for Riverdale Restaurant Week. For $22 (Plus tip) you get a Pastrami or Corned beef (I got pastrami), a square or round knish or steak fries, cole slaw, pickles and a Dr. Brown's soda. Look: A great deli knows that the secret of success is not to futz with perfection. My Aunt Joan and Uncle Bill of Blessed memory either took me to Liebman's or had them cater their simchas for as far back as I can remember. The pastrami I had today was as fatty, smoky, salty, tender and delicious as it always was and always will be. Was it worth two and a half hours on public transit from South Brooklyn to get there? You betcha. Will I go again? You betcha. Should you go? Heck yeah.“
“First time here. Read great things about this place so wanted to try. There were 8 people ahead of us but the line seemed to move pretty fast and the vibe I got was that you should know what you want before you make it to the front of the line. We got plain, cinnamon raisin, rye, and everything. The size of the bagel was smaller than what you’d normally see but the doughiness and freshness was great (the cinnamon raisins had just come out of the oven). I’m not complaining about the size because i think bagels are typically too big and I usually cut it in half and save it for later but this was a perfect size. Would definitely come back.“
“Stopped in here to look at the menu, but ended up getting the sampler and the Yakitori burnt ends which were amazing! There's a great selection of food, which we can't wait to try out, will definitely come back again hungry! Owner is awesome and atmosphere is so homey.“
“We ate there two Shabbats in the last month.Excellent foodExcellent service .Ephraim the owner is there and takes care of everyone.Reasonable price for a very good Saturday night dinner(New prices are expensive). In short, delicious, nice and worth every dollar.with appetite“
“Best vegan food in NJ. Extensive Chinese menu and also other Asian cuisines. Just very well done, clean food. The restaurant itself is just very clean and simple nothing fancy. Food is outstanding.Vegetarian options: All vegan Chinese food and other Asian cuisine offerings.Dietary restrictions: All vegan“
“Love Effy’s! The lattes are divine - a secret gem and perfect way to start the meal. We got the Middle Eastern breakfast and the labneh and beets were so fresh and delicious. We also go the Italian Omelette which came with a decadent side salad! The service was fantastic and attentive. We took a smoothie to go which was the perfect dessert. Highly recommend!“
“Whether you're looking for a selection of old-school Jewish appetizers, like pickled herring, the lox and cream and onion sauce, or prepared kosher entrées, this establishment will do the trick! Even better it's glat kosher and Shomer Shabbos! They're kosher for Passover Pizza is a real annual treat. And if I'm not mistaken, their fried chicken which they make fresh every Tuesday, it's absolutely fabulous.“
“I've had Laffa Shawarma and Laffa chicken.Tastes good, good portion and fairly priced.Very few selections of add-ons to your meal, the place itself is as basic as it gets, but clean. Will occasionally return since there are no other options for Israeli Shawarma in the area.“
“Kosher Chinese!I recently had an amazing takeout experience at Kosher Express in Fairlawn! From the moment I placed my order, I knew I was in for a treat. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that my takeout experience was just as enjoyable as dining in.The food from Kosher Express was absolutely delicious. Their menu offers a wide variety of mouthwatering options, all prepared with attention to detail and flavorful ingredients. Every dish I ordered was packed with incredible flavors and portion sizes were generous. As someone who values kosher dining, it was reassuring to know that every item on the menu adhered to the highest kosher guidelines. This dedication to authenticity and quality made my takeout experience even more special. If you're looking for a memorable takeout experience with delicious kosher food, I highly recommend Kosher Express in Fair Lawn. “Food? Fantastic! Great pizza, side and salads.Service? Superb! Food was hot and ready for 20 peeps within minutes.Atmosphere? Amazing! The music choices were on point! We came to celebrate a marriage after the fact...the guy in charge overheard and started playing "death of a bachelor" ? perfect“
“Try the pulled beef and vegetables pizza - it's like Mun,..I could eat it every day like it comes from heaven!! Update - they are trying smaller portions for less $$ on the dinner...ya' know...it felt better to eat and spend less!“
“Jerusalem Pizza Falafel is definitely one of the best establishments in the Passaic Park area. I absolutely love the falafel, which is always of a generous size and very much well worth the extra expense. Their soups are always tasty, my favorite being the lentil, and the knishes (my loves being the kasha and the spinach) are delicious. It's always a great take home for me, and I can't give enough superlatives to the staff, all of whom make you feel welcome (once you get to the counter).Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian and vegetable dishes that are available for consumption if one is not eating meat.Kid-friendliness: There's always a group of kids in the restaurant, all having a good time enjoying the food and themselves.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessible entrance that comes in quite conveniently for those who are mobility impaired, and the aisles are wide enough to service those in wheelchairs and walkers.Dietary restrictions: There are numerous restrictions and specifications in a traditional Jewish diet, and rules that must be adhered to. Jerusalem Pizza on its menu board lists everything available according to the rules it follows in a simple understandable way.“
“Having kosher pizza in a mall while shopping is awesome.Having DELICIOUS kosher pizza while shopping is even better.Gluten free — They even have a GF personal pie, and my sister who is GF said she he has a lot of GF pizzas but this is the best one she ever had.? ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options availableKid-friendliness: Kid high chairs available“
“This is a small deli, one of the few remaining in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. They offer a full range of deli delights, most of which are made on premises. It's really only a take-out place, as there is only bar seating with stools. The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and talkative. If you're in the area, go there. You won't be disappointed.“
“A great selection at a good price. The customer service is excellent, very friendly and great at helping you find what you need or give recommendations of something new to try. I have been able to rely on this place for a good selection at different price points. From reds to whites and whisky to vodka, they had a great selection with exactly what I needed at a bargain price.“
“This restaurant has a beautiful event room downstairs, perfect for small to mid-size parties and events. We had a work party there. The food was really good and the service was amazing. I got a steak. It was cooked well and very tasty. We all had a great time!“
“Great kosher place with a cool vibe. The menu is pretty big and the service was extremely nice and helpful. Food tasted fresh and amazing.Vegetarian options: No meat in the store, if you don't want fish they have many non fish items as wellDietary restrictions: Kosher and vegetarianWheelchair accessibility: Ground level“
“We enjoyed the meal very much and the service was warm and responsive. The ambiance could be enhanced by a style makeover but this factor was not enough to spoil our enjoyment of the evening. Overall 4 stars. Recommended. We will eat there again for sure.“
“When you step into Benjy's Kosher Pizza, you'll witness Benny's unwavering commitment to handcrafting each pizza. This devotion to tradition guarantees a uniquely special experience every time you visit. The pizza here is nothing short of amazing, and I can't recommend it enough – a must-try culinary gem!“
“Good prices! Good food especially their burgers!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options for all Burger sandwiches and salads.Kid-friendliness: Lots of comfortable seating for a family.Wheelchair accessibility: I think it would be easy to eat here and order in a wheelchair“
“Went there for years when I lived in the neighborhood many times a week. My favorite pizza in all of NY. They need to be talked about for how amazing their pizza is. The owner and staff are all great guys! I visit every time I'm back downstate.Parking: Side lot and street parking“
“Wow!! Small little place. Was in ENGLEWOOD and was told to check this place out. Glad we did. Everything was delicious. We started with Humnus with mushrooms which was outstanding. Came with fresh pita .They started us off with complementary bread and hummus with Amba. Amba is a peach sauce. Was outstanding. I went with a chicken Schwarma in a Laffa I highly recommended this restaurant“
“If I could give them 6 stars I would, they are great!!! Went there on a date with a lovely friend expecting the usual Kosher Chinese fare that I have had from LA to Pittsburgh to my hometown here on Long Island, NY. I came expecting the food to be the normal I have expected in an inexpensive (for Kosher that is) Chinese restaurant, OK to good. However this restaurant astounded me, it was different!!!The food was fabulous!!! We both had the 'Hot and Sour' soup, and it was impressive! The temp, was just right, not luke-warm as I have come to expect in many restaurants, and, not scaldingly hot, but just right! The spices were hot as they should be, but not too hot. As I said, I was amazed!!!Then for the mains, we had, Spicy Chicken and Curry Chicken. Again the spices were quite hot, but not too, at least for me. They were just wonderful, tasty, yet with a subtle delight. It is hard to express. And we both commented how the presentation of the food on the plates was 'picture perfect.'I would suggest you go and write your own experience! I live 30 miles on the other side of the NYC metro area where traveling can be a challenge all on its own, but for this restaurant in the Bronx, NYC, NY, Kai Fan, I will be returning!!!ps I only wish they were closer to me here on Long Island!!pss I was served by one of the owners, and an owner was on duty at the cash register! A great family run operation!!Dietary restrictions: It is Kosher!!!Parking: Parked across the street at 430 for $5. After 7pm it would have been FREE!!!“
“I Had what could possibly be the best experience at a restaurant. Let’s start off by saying that the Brisket is 10/10. The food here is amazing. The staff is so friendly. I was served by Edgar and he made it very memorable. You can tell that they go above and beyond to provide not only good food but a great atmosphere that will make you come back for more .“
“Hey I mean, been there 2 times so far. Very reasonably priced. Got the lomein and crispy chicken; delicious! Also springrolls were super good. Also got the udon noodles and orange chicken another time, also amazing. Again, reasonably priced. Went with 5 people and it came out to $200.“
“Had a great time at this restaurant , came in with a few friends and really enjoyed the fresh food and the atmosphere my server Sarah was wonderful she made the experience even better thank you for being very professional and niceThank you I will definitely be “
“I'm not from the area, but I found this place and WHOA! what a gem!I've gotten food here a few times by now and each time I'm blown away by the freshness, quality and amazing taste.Great place. Great staff. Great chefs. Great food. Great seating. Great vibe. 10.9/10“
“Riding by on my scooter and stumbled upon this place. Strictly take out, came in looked at menu and ordered BBQ Chicken Ranch sandwich, saw prices wasn't sure what I would get. The staff was friendly and cooked my meal quickly while waiting and when I sat down to eat it. The size of the sandwich and sides I chose it was huge and so good. I will definitely check it out again for lunch on the go and to pick up food to bring home for the fam.“
“This place is mostly a "ghost kitchen". When you walk in you have roughly ten square feet of space to stand out and wait for your order. I got their twelve-piece wings with bourbon sauce to go. There is no place to sit.I was impressed by the sweet and strong flavor of the sauce and how the meat of the wings was eagerly falling off the bone. The wings are said to be wood-smoked and you could tell by the flavor.Overall this place has great wings. It'd be great to see them expand to more of a sit-down place in the future.“
“Have not eaten in... Just take out. But the food is delicious! Recently got a couple of platters. Packaged really well in sectioned trays, keeping the cool (salad stuff) away from the hot chicken and falafel. In the past I have also ordered shawarma and schnitzel by the pound for a party and was very happy.“
“I was visiting New York from Chicago and was on the hunt for some quick Kosher food to eat before I went to see a Broadway show. This place fit the bill. Food was ready fairly quickly and it was relatively affordable, depending on what you ordered. I found the tacos to be a good bang for your buck. The tacos were customizable and you are able to choose your sauce and toppings.“
“Golan Heights serves by far the best shawarma sandwiches I’ve had outside of Israel. The myriad of sauces, such as their green charif, amba, and of course techina make all their sandwiches so addictive. It makes it generally worth it to pay the few extra bucks for Laffa over the Pita. They also offer other products with interesting names like “Zaidy’s” (spicy) poppers and “Stupid” (mix) chicken. They have a small space with a few tables, but I’d recommend this place for takeout like most people do.“
“First of all, the current store manager is a delight, just a friendly, smart, helpful person! Second, the Drunk Man Noodles are delicious - I ask for extra chicken at a fee and less sweet- and its all worth it. No kosher Thai food in the vicinity that is near this good.“
“Love the chicken lo mein dish I got there, the place looked very nice, & the service there was amazing they got my food done and to me quick despite it being night time (dinner hours) and they were nearing closing hours. Very impressed. 5 stars for chop chop.“
“Delicious breakfast food and I loved the heated terrace. So sunny and airy but still warm. Service was top notch!I really appreciated that breakfast mains included coffee AND bread - and no upcharge for GF toast!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options abound, including GF bread options as part of the meal!“
“This is the standard while other restaurants have come and gone. Deli Kasbah remains. Expanded menu from steaks, burgers, wraps, Israeli dishes. Good service as well. Spots can be hard to come by as any NYC restaurant may have. It's was our 28th wedding anniversary. We got a spot right in front.“
“The food is excellent, the ambiance sublime, and the employees are super friendly. I am a chef by profession, from Germany, the land of kartoffelsalat, and their potato salad is so good. Artistically decorated. Even the bathrooms are lovely. A lovely cafe and I will come back.“
“A great old school place. Fancy schmancy it isn't, but who cares. Go and do as many pushups as you can, right there on the floor, in front of eveyone. You'll have your name on the wall with how many you did. Just love the place.“
“Great place to have lunch with friends! Met my friends here who were staying in northern NJ and I'm in NYC. Really easy trip there, you can take catch the bus right on the corner to and from port authority! The food was delicious and we were able to hang out and catch up for almost two hours with no one bothering us. Highly recommend!“
“They are always busy and it's only because their food is worth the wait, so order with anticipation. They are super hospitable. If you need utensils, condiments, or even fortune cookies they're in a basket for your service. Yes, I have friends that say they're pricey, but when the food is prepped and taste the way it does from Chopstix, U will understand. My mother will only eat Chinese food from here (We're Latinos) and I'm 41yrs old, she will not have it anywhere else. Thank you guys for the superbness service!“
“I'm one of the original customers. Yes, I am old. Ages ago, S &S was a well kept secret in the catering world. I truly believe they set the standard. My Father was in the food business, and he would bring home the GIANT cheesecakes for parties and family events. It was a special treat. As an adult, I lived with my wife in Riverdale. It was great to be able to get a cake from the Bodega or Candy store on their block. Until recently, I had never seen S & S's gate open, because they worked through the night. I went there 2 days ago and it was a happy sight to see it open, on a very busy street. We also lived in downtown Brooklyn, and I felt that Junior's was all about hype. The obvious difference is quality, and a touristy establishment versus an artist who has always been consistent. The newly self annointed FOODIE experts continuely show their ignorance. But they are loud. I have learned that people who are loud, are usually wrong. Thank you S & S for being a memorable part of my life. Thank you for always being the example of how a quality food business should be run. BIG STANDING OVATION!!!!“
“Really good KOSHER deli...not a lot left.... Great selection of fresh and prepared foods. Wonderful frozen section to keep at home. New ownership is keeping the best of the old and adding changes that will surely enhance the eating experience. I drive all the way from Connecticut. It's easier than driving to “
“Wow! It was a great pleasure coming to the store. I really appreciate all the service and the food was phenomenal. Thank you so so much again!Vegetarian options: Really good vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: The place is really kid friendly and great foodParking: 300 spots in the mall how niceWheelchair accessibility: They have elevators and escalatorsDietary restrictions: They have salads and all sorts of dietary restriction foods“
“Always was intrigued to try this place when going to TJ's so my bf and I went here which we didn't realize it was kosher but thought food quality was still good. We craved for sushi so we tried the spicy salmon, spicy tuna and Ceviche roll and it was fresh. I particularly liked the ceviche roll which you can't really find in japanese places. Also the fries were crispy and perfectly salty for me. I'm curious to try next time the burger but check it out if you're around!“
“It was a miserable, heavy rain Saturday and really fancied some good matzo ball soup. First time at this place, literally googled ‘best matzo ball soup in Bergen County’, don’t regret the decision. We had two soups, a potato knish and a pastrami sandwich. The knish was really hot, best left to cool a bit… but it was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The soup, the matzo ball was really light, the soup had good flavor and not salty… my husband really enjoyed the sandwich too. definitely worth returning to for some comfort food.“
