“This place is going to make this my go to hotel every time I'm in Philly. The staff is so friendly and amazing service. Brunch experience was perfect. Huevos rancheros were delicious, pianist was so talented and made a spectacular atmosphere! The bartender made an absolutely perfect bloody Mary and prices were very reasonable. “Absolutely loved the Sundae. Potato chips and kettle corn must be in all of my sundaes going forward. The latkes were phenomenal - must order. The harissa broccoli was delish. The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite.The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. Go just for the decor alone, feeling like I was in an 80s golf clubhouse. The pool table is cute and fun too.“
“The menu was so varied--so many choices of vegan food (not just the fake meat variety). We enjoyed the brussels sprouts, beet salad, focaccia, flatbread--all outstanding. We didn't care so much for one pasta dish with sweet potato--pasta a bit dry and chewy and seasoning a bit bland. It was a Saturday evening so quite full and service was uneven probably because of that. The background music was quite loud, particularly the bass line. I could hear to talk but I found the music distracting me from enjoying the food. But I think younger people have a different relationship to monotonous base lines and find it makes the place lively. I was delighted to find another vegan restaurant, just disappointed that the ambience wasn't good for me.“

“Such a fun quaint cocktail bar! I appreciated the bouncer outside who checked out ideas actually walked us to the bar and found stools for my group of 3. The bartenders were attentive and very conversational. Great drinks, highly recommended the French 75 and the drink with raspberry and gin. Good vibe all around!“

The Hugh Hefner espresso martini was a unique twist, at first I wasn’t too sure about it, but after the second sip, it was one of my favorites. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“

We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super chill but I can imagine that it gets really noisy as soon as it fills up. “We just had the best meal here! My partner and I had planned on going elsewhere but we got there after 8pm and didn't have a reservation, so the wait was going to be an hour. We walked over to Wm. Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? I could have eaten the pizza crust on its own, honestly. Thick and chewy on the edges and perfectly done throughout. We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. Our server Jamyl was attentive and warm, and checked in regularly. All in all, a perfect meal in a lovely location!“
“Redcrest Kitchen is the Cafe / Diner on 6th St. just a one block south of Philadelphia's famous South St.; In other words, it's right where all of the action is. On this rare rather warm Saturday (short sleeve shirt in Philadelphia in Mid-March-really?) we got a outdoor table for our brunch and basked in the sun. My wife shared a hotdog and Caesar salad with my sons girlfriend, my son also had a Caesar with an order of fries and I had their very good; 2 scrambled eggs A wedge of excellent hash browns Two breakfast sausages And some whole grain toast To say we were all "Happy Campers" with this first rate meal combined with accomplished service would be an understatement. Along with a not too expensive bill, made this trip to the Redcrest Kitchen an outstanding experience.“
“I have only good things to say about this place. I thought at first it was a little odd to have steak tartar served with fries but the pairing was actually really good! Everything was amazing. I have never had such a complex gnocci dish and it's probably the best I've ever had. The scallops were perfect. Mussels, snails... all of it. Everything was just amazing; I cannot stress that enough. I can't wait to go back!“

The only thing I’d say is it is really a bar atmosphere in the sense that the music is very loud (good playlist though), so it is kind of weird to eat this good food in a loud bar. But maybe it’s just personal preference.“
“Came here for brunch this last weekend. What a lovely experience! Mind you I don't really approve of brunch - half the stuff you can make at home for 3/4s the price. But this place was great! Staff were so nice, patient and helpful. Small but good drink menu with delicious non alcoholic options as well. We had the biscuits and apricot jam and goat cheese fritters as appetizers. Fritters weren't overly salty which I was worried about. Nicely fried with a refreshing apple jam. Biscuits were excellent - nice and flaky. I had the biscuits with mushrooms eggs and potatoes. Eggs were cooked well but still had a bit of runniness to them. The mushrooms were delicious and it all came with this cilantro dressing. Potatoes were also excellent with some peppers thrown in for good measure. It was so hard deciding what to get because honestly everything, especially the savory dishes, looked fantastic. Prices were reasonable, great experience and even though it was brunch and close to their breaking time before dinner, we didn't feel rushed out at all. Highly recommend them!“

The lovely person with green hair was amazing at their job . They made me and my partner have an amazing experience in this gem of a restaurant . When you dine here before dark, the sunlight beautifully illuminates this window-filled intimate space--such a lovely feeling. We particularly enjoyed the eggplant stewed in spicy tomatoes served with g thick cut toasted sourdough bread, the slow-cooked cod with fancy beans, and the grilled squash with brown butter--that sauce was a spiritual experience!“

We were seated upstairs, and it was busy, but not overly busy where you couldn't hear each other speak. We sat at the bar and had the loveliest bartender. “Stopped in for their Thursday 5-8pm happy hour, stayed for the go-go dancer and the all-vinyl DJ! This place truly is special, frozen in time. The historic venue/bar has so much charm and life in it still. DJ Hardbargain and dancer Butterfly Jones made the space so cozy and vibey! 10/10 recommend for a drink out with friends and a sweet spot to dance.“

The pizza crust was out of this world with options you don’t see everywhere, like cacio e pepe, and their cocktails are fun and delicious! “Good vibe and good food! I was a bit surprised by the portion sizes and how small they were, considering that I would say this spot is pricey. The menu is also small, most dim sum restaurants I go to have a vast menu and are relatively inexpensive.With that being said, the chicken wontons were the star of the show for me! Along with the green fire cocktail… MUST TRY. The shrimp dumplings were also delicious, and the korean fried chicken wings were just OK.If I go back, I plan on trying to the cheesesteak bao as I heard they’re incredible.“

“Came here for a girls-night-out/catch up with a good friend, since we wanted to "treat ourselves" to fancy, upscale, creative cocktails (rather than our usual dive bar City wide) - and this place did NOT disappoint. I got the gold dust woman (sage gin - pretty yummy, but not too strong. Simple and elegant.) and the Bela Lugosi's Dead (AMAZING! Gin, frothed egg white, and FALL SPICE!!). My friend got the Negroni, which was impeccably strong, if you're into that sort of thing (wasn't really for us). The bartenders were friendly & fun, and after 930pm the bar cleared out enough that we finally got a seat. Be warned- it's expensive at 12$/cocktail, but the ingredients and care put into their creations make it worth it.“
“Had drinks and some snacks here the last 2 days, and it’s a fantastic place. The tempura green beans were perfectly fried and come with a yummy hot honey drizzle. “A serious gem on spring garden. The decor is warm and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. The owners can be seen walking around and touching tables to ensure excellent service. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the fried shrimp was perfectly crispy while retaining moisture and the freezer martini is crisp, cold and boozy. Do not sleep on this place!!! I had originally doubted the food given the very interesting, futuristic, Blade-Runner-esque theme, though I was pleasantly surprised. Though I had originally, believed, all of this restaurant's pull had been contributed to the ambiance, the food was extremely something to die for. The miso soup ramen with chashu tasted fresh, new, and had helped ease my original concerns. The Karage chicken tasted tender, without any dry pieces. Finally, the servers felt down-to-earth, without them forcing you to leave in a hurry. The overall ambiance, service, and food were something I would definitely consider with friends again.“

Glad that we got to try the shallot and thyme one. The bread dough was pillowy with a shiny brown surface, while not feeling oily at all. The sweetness from the caramelized shallot and the herby fragrance from thyme made a harmonious flavor duet.＊1/2 Agrodolce Chicken**SERIOUSLY how could they make the chicken (even the chicken breast!) so tender and juicy? Also can we talk about the gremolata? It was fantastic as a dish itself, and add extra textures and tangy flavors if you spread it over the meat.＊Trofie (half)We know their carbs wouldn’t be as amazing as their proteins but we still wanted to try. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The mushroom truffle flavor was exactly what you could easily imagine. Nothing mindblowing here.＊Milk & Honey GelatoWe picked this right away because I saw it had “pistachio”. The honey was very sweet, but premium in flavor. My cravings was fully satisfied as they didn’t skimp on the crushed pistachios on top. Lowkey wished that the gelato melted a bit slower.“
