Mulherin's Sons and they got us a table in about 15 minutes. We proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a while! Starters: the octopus was crispy but succulent and the focaccia was pillowy perfection! Cocktails were excellent. The sausage pizza had a wonderful mix of flavors and the crust!! ? I could have eaten the pizza crust on its own, honestly. Thick and chewy on the edges and perfectly done throughout. We also shared a seasonal pasta with ramps, morels, peas, and asparagus, and got the chocolate mousse cake and gelato for dessert, which were heavenly. Our server Jamyl was attentive and warm, and checked in regularly. All in all, a perfect meal in a lovely location!“
“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

I opted for a special of the day - pork pieces with skin still attached cooked in an amazing salsa verde, served with warm house-made tortillas, rice, and beans. So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. We started with the house-made guacamole which was outstanding, along with fresh in-house tortilla chips. BYOB meant we enjoyed the meal with our own beers. Outstanding food, friendly service, a chance to taste some new dishes and a Mexico City-style of cooking, and affordable prices - we'll definitely be back!“

The window person was exceptionally friendly and I waited 5 minutes less than originally told for my order which rarely happens anywhere these days. “I've had other vegan pizzas before, and while some have been delicious, they did not have that NY pizza crust that I grew up eating. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good. We were politely greeted by the hostess who arranged tables to accommodate our large party. While being seated, the owner, Aaron asked us if we were celebrating a birthday. We said yes, it's our daughter's birthday. Much to our surprise, Aaron came back 15 minutes later with a beautiful birthday cake for our daughter. We were extremely touched by his generosity and thoughtfulness. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!!
