“Delicious, playful meal with excellent service and a great wine list. The only downside - and it was a real downer - was the first dish: a sweet potato soup that, while I understand is supposed to be sweet, was cloyingly so. So much so, that if it were served as a dessert it would have been too sweet for my pallet. To have that as an opener was jarring - despite the small portion I didn’t finish it and found myself taking extra sips of wine to wash it down. It was served with caviar, but the soup was so sweet I couldn’t taste the caviar at all. I kept hunting for it to break up the sweetness but it was just overwhelmed. The second dish, a raw redfish, also erred on the side of sweetness, but not nearly to the same level. After that, things started improving. The rice cakes, the halibut, the duck and the bibimbap were all excellent. Wine was delightful and service lovely.“
“This was everything you wanted in a dinner experience. For starters there is something fun about walking the graffiti lined streets of the LES into an unexpected fine dining experience. The staff from our actual waitress to the Som to the people delivering our food were personal and fun and added to the experience. One of the owners (Raymond) even came around to chat. The food was outstanding; prepared to perfection but also taking risks which I love to see. At $112 the tasting menu is very reasonably priced for Manhattan and what you get. Instead of making the price unattainable they offer add ons if you want them. We got the caviar hand roll which was decadent and delicious but the tasting menu is great on its own as well. I’m already planning my next visit and will be rotating this in as one of my faves.“
“After many random nights of trying to walk in and get a seat, we finally managed to get one where we had to wait less than 20 minutes on a Wednesday night. While we waited, the hostess at the front was super nice and led us back to nightmoves(?) next door for a drink and to now wait in the cold. Before we knew it, our table was ready. We sat at the bar. It was packed and the vibe is low key pretentious tbh (from guests, not servers) but the food met the high bar.- warm bread (5/5): everything you want bread and butter to be.- yellowfin tuna (5/5): that sesame crust was bomb. Just a great, unique delicious plate.- salad (4.5/5): refreshing, well balanced- the squid (4.5/5): quite the statement dish. This was actually quite large. Perfectly charred. Didn’t love the type of peppers that accompanied it but overall a very well prepped dish.- ricotta gnudi (5/5): these were pillows of ricotta and I would definitely order this again. Quite rich.- toffee pudding (5/5): save room for dessert! This was surprisingly delicious. Loved the sweet and salty combo. I found myself spooning every last drop of this. The only thing I found slightly disappointing was the wine, honestly the ones tried were good but considering they are known for its wine, I didn’t really find the ones I tried too interesting. Was it worth the wait and effort to come dine here? I gotta say that it was. The food was just very solid and the ambiance felt like I was in someone’s home. Next time, as hard as it can be, I’ll try to make a reservation ahead of time or come again during an off hour.“
“What a fabulous meal we had a Semma. Love the atmosphere with the thatched walls and ceilings, plus for a small restaurant, they really gave ample space between the tables in our section of the restaurant. Service was very warm, informative and attentive.Things we loved:Semma Sour - this is a fabulous drink. Highly recommendGunpowder Dosa - absolutely superb, generous and delicious. Accompanying chutneys were also fantasticLamb app - super savory, delicious little lamb bones in a nice pile really gave the meal a great startLamb shank - incredible. Soft as butter, phenomenal sauce.Stuffed peppers - amazing curry, a real highlight.Did not love the oxtail as it was frankly too fatty so 2 out of 3 bites were literally globs of fat. Not the chef's fault. I think we just misordered and should have opted for a fish dish instead.Would definitely return to Semma. Where we found Masalawala sort of ungenerou in the portions, Semma is more than ample. We look forward to returning if we can ever get a reservation again!“
“if you want to have tasteful food in a great location with good service look no further! oysters are super fresh. Egg Benedict in nice variations and the banana pancakes are just a blast!Dietary restrictions: they will ask you prior for allergies etc.“
“Wow, where do I begin? Little to no wait time, incredible staff, and exceptional service. My favorite was the empanadas and picana, truly one of the best in Manhattan. I would highly recommend to friends and family and would definitely come back!“
“This is the BEST fish restaurant in the city! We have been coming here for years now and it never disappoints. We love to start with the whole sashimi fish in olive oil and sea salt...delicious! And we end with a whole bronzino grilled and also amazing!!! And lots of different stuff in between...“
“What a gem! I stumbled upon this restaurant on a whim an had no idea what I was getting myself into. I went during off hours so it was not as packed, but from other reviews, it seems like you'd be better off making a reservation esp if going for dinner. The branzino I had from the brunch menu was not just fish. It was a work of art. It was so perfectly crispy on the outside and oh so soft on the inside. I also feel like it's easy to overly salt fish in general, but the branzino was just perfectly salted and it went so well with the sauce. The sauce that came with the branzino was spinach-based and heavenly, and I almost licked it off my plate. The staff were super friendly and personable too. They checked in multiple times and made sure everything went smoothly. Can't wait to be back to try their dinner menu!“
“Very good ramen, rich, fatty, and delicious. Tried both the spicy ramen and the classic one and both were good. The spicy one has a more sesame flavor, and it is quite spicy so that's not for everyone. I liked the classic one better. The pure meaty flavour was delicious.Great atmosphere in evenings and nights.“
“Overall fairly interesting food. The muhammara and scallop crudo were my top 2 dishes. Our group of three all liked the muhammara and we asked for an extra order of the bread. I feel the vegetables dish were no more special than what you would find at a Chinese restaurant.“
“We arrived at around 3pm as lunch service was switching to dinner, their in between menu still has lots to offer. We ordered the burger with fries and a French onion soup to share, but I regret not having it all to myself! My partner ordered a margarita which he greatly enjoyed, and I had a dirty martini which was excellent. The staff were friendly & attentive, I can’t say enough lovely things about this restaurant. I would definitely return next time we’re in New York. I don’t know what they do to their french fries but they are highly addictive and the French onion soup was as good as my mother makes which is a huge compliment. Thanks for having us!!!!“
“What a unique and special experience. The chef considers every aspect of fine dining at his Michelin rated restaurant. Service is impeccable, quiet upscale dining with a variety of exquisite tasting food , beautiful dishes and a variety of wine to choose from with a sommelier. We wanted our children to experience a top French restaurant with a tasting menu. We enjoyed the seven course "essential menu." Dined on so many tasty dishes. Absolutely my favorite was the wagyu. Best thing I have ever tasted. It's extremely pricey so save this for something very special if cost is a factor.“
“Absolutely incredible experience at Chama Mama Chelsea. We arrived 15 min early to our res and were still seated shortly after we arrived. Our waiter gave us the perfect level of attention without being overbearing. The cheese boat was the showstopper, of course, and the person who served it to us lifted the cheese all the way up while she was mixing it (dinner and a show!). Really wonderful lychee margaritas. We really felt welcomed from beginning to end. Wonderful experience. Can't wait to be back.“
“Food was tasty overall. Cocktails were great. Got the pandan punch (sweet). For food, we got the duck rilette, frog legs (it was alright), unisoba (uni was good quality), oxtail (favorite for the night), and their tres leches cake (it was really good). Service was amazing and so friendly.“
“This is a restaurant run by a lobster shop in Chelsea Market. There are many types of oysters, so it might be a good idea to use it as an oyster bar. It's a small shop, but the food is fresh and delicious. Also, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.“
“TLDR: Replacing what was The Breslin is now Koloman. This is a very European restaurant. I've only been for lunch but for this level of dining, probably one of the better prefixe menus. I think the focaccia is worth it and for my selections, tartare, schnitzel and strudel.I went through a week of just eating a lot of fancy lunches solo. This day I hit up Koloman as I was curious about their prefixe for awhile.I added the warm pumpkin focaccia and yeah - that was tasty. Definitely rubbed in plenty of oil but it was nicely crispy on the outside but oh so fluffy on the inside. That butter was something else too.For the selections I started with the tartare. Typical french preparation, not too eggy or rich. Adequate acidity and very flavorful.Schnitzel. I wanted to like this a bit more but it was still good. The schnitzel coating was quite thin but maybe the way it was plated on top of each other - it kind of steamed out the coating and it just fell off. I liked the warm potato salad that accompanied it. I still am not a fan of lingonberry but I can appreciate it.Strudle. Very thin layers, tasty but maybe too much powdered sugar for my preference.Overall - I liked the food enough that Id' be back and maybe try some other things on the menu. Standout for me on this meal though? Focaccia, tartare.“
“Had my birthday dinner here and it was a great place to celebrate. The ambiance is quite nice, not too quiet but not too loud with mood lighting. The bread was really good, and also really enjoyed the chicken liver agnolotti and foie gras. The half chicken and pork chops were pretty good but definitely ordered too much food. They also surprised us with a small sorbet for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and pretty attentive the whole evening.“
“This was a very nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere but I would definitely recommend it for a date night. We wanted to get the burger which is very hyped but we couldn’t because they only make 12 of those per night. The rest of the food was decent but not anything amazing. We ordered a bunch of plates and got to share the dishes which is what I would recommend.“
“I was in NYC solo on a work trip last week and I came to Terroir for dinner 3 of those nights, which is complete testament to the team who work here. The food bangs - I was served by a different member of the team each night but every one of them was warm, informative + engaging - special stuff. In a city full of great bars, Terroir shines as a wine bar that knows its stuff and isn't afraid to show it, but in a charming, chilled + warm way. The wine list is huge + exciting, and every time I was ordering a dish the team recommended what would go best with it by the glass. I'm sure if I came with friends I'd get the same great advice on their bottle list. Come here if you love wine, and come here if you're not quite sure you do, because you'll leave loving it.Will be my first stop when I'm back in the city for sure.“
“Nice mix of healthy-ish comfort food and vegetarian dishes. Really enjoyed the “We Got the Beat” cocktail - it was a good balance of smokey mezcal, tequila, jalapeño and beet juice. The roasted sunchoke appetizer was small but very, very tasty. Highly recommend you order 2!Spiced Red Lentil Soup was lovely on a chilly evening.Husband got the Seafood Burger and said it wasn’t that amazing. Fries were decent.Service was super fast and friendly, would love to come back for brunch.Vegetarian options: Tasty vegan and vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Seems very kid friendly - quite a few were there for dinner.“
“It was me and my boyfriend's second time going to RH and each time we went we loved it! Raquel was our fantastic waiter and it was my boyfriend's birthday and he loved it. The food was amazing as always and the service was great! I'm obsessed with the ambiance with the seating and the chandeliers. It was a great balance of peaceful and liveliness. Can't wait to go back!“
“It was my first time in a Persian Restaurant.I love the food and the service. Server Jesus took care of us and loved all the recommendations that he suggested to us. He just made our night.Wine list is amazing and the reserve is magnificent.Absolutely gonna come back.“
“Wonderful dining experience! The space is small and cozy, the cocktails delicious, and we were treated with such warmth, kindness and respect, like we were in someone’s home. This is how dining out should be. The seating can get quite tight later into the dinner hour, so try not to bring big coats or bags! They will check them for you downstairs though, if you’d like. Also get the bread with butter, it’s the most delicious butter I’ve ever tasted. No diet-just do it!“
“Great Ramen! We started with the fried chicken that was delicious but realistically did not need caviar. We got the wagyu ramen which was outstanding and the perfectly seasoned, if you want, you can absolutely eat just the ramen and be fully satisfied.Overall great experience and will return again!“
“The pistachio pasta is the best. The Portugese octopus appetizer was just as good as Europe and the beet salad was the perfect mix of soft cheese and flavor. One of the teenagers had the pasta with the fries procutto and pecorino cheese, it was also just as good as the pistachio pasta. It was full even at 8p for our reservation so either reserve or visit as a smaller party to get seated easily.“
“I discovered this place a few years back and absolutely love it! Such a hidden gem on the upper west. Wine selection is great, snacks are yummy and just an overall great vibe and energy! Definitely need more places like this on the upper west that are great for date nights, catching up with friends and even an after work glass!“
“I love this place. The absolute BEST GF PIZZA anywhere. Every time I eat it, I worry that it can't really be GF. But, I always feel great afterwards (except being super full because I can't stop eating). My favorite is the Diavolo. Just a bit spicy. Then I add the pepper olive oil. Amazing. The service has always been great.Dietary restrictions: Fantastic GF options“
“Cozy, dimly lit wine bar that is inviting. Prices for happy hour are very reasonable, a bottle of red wine costing $44. For nibbles we tried the goat and double cream cow cheese that came with a homemade apricot jam and spicy chutney - both which were very good. We sat at the bar in front of where they were prepping ingredients so got some marcona almonds and a spoonful of their delicious chocolate mousse. Would definitely come back.“
“Upscale Lebanese, busy and lots of tables, nice patio as well. The food is very good, it comes with all the fixings (tahini, garlic sauce, hummus, pickles), and it's presented very well. I would take my parents here next time they're in town.“
“The Chimi pizza was bomb! The dough was baked just right not too burnt not too soft perfect and crunchy.Don’t get me started on the Dominican Pizza. It was so good it took me back to thanksgiving with my aunt who makes it perfectly. It took me back home and almost made me search the kitchen for my aunt?.Owner was great interacted with us and made conversation very genuine and warm welcomingParking: Parking was pretty decent. Not great not badKid-friendliness: Music was clean and up beat“
“Nice spot. Som was very nice and we hit it off. Food was great and the service was second to none. A plate was emptied and immediately someone was there to pick it out. Every door was opened for us every time. My only suggestion would be that the boss stop by the table and say hi. He walked by many times, made eye contact but never stopped. Not sure if was because my kids were there but would have been nice. I spent 3K in there. Anyway, enjoyed everything. It's a shame they lost their star. I think they deserve it back. Sonny Dukes.“
“You definitely want to hit this bar for a quick unwind for the best food and great choices of wine and needless to mention the great hospitality by Carolina. One of the most talented people out there. I’d like to thank you guys and Carolina specially for such a wonderful experience. I’ll be back sooner than you know “
“Went a few weeks ago. My brother happens to be the Chef. As much as I want to give him a bad review for that time he wrecked my Lego 25 years ago, (still haven’t forgotten Jean) I do have to say this spot is awesome in their service with great wine recommendations, phenomenal food, and pleasant environment.Would strongly recommend for anyone to go. And if you do happen to go, ask for the Chef and let them know Nick hasn’t forgotten and will have his revenge someday.Temperance wine bar - 5 starsChef as a brother - 2.6 stars (…it was a cool Lego)“
“This is easily one of the best dining experiences that I've had in NYC since I moved here eight years ago. Before coming in, I had never had Georgian food before and didn't know what to expect. Every single item was absolutely delicious and the service was even better. I was curious about the amber wine and the server was nice enough to give me a taste before pouring a full glass. Even the Georgian sparkling water was tasty. Not to mention, the actual decor and energy of the restaurant was so great. Everybody in there seemed happy and it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night but still intimate. Before we left, our food was boxed up and we got a handwritten note with our receipt. I'll definitely be back sooner than later!“
“Our first time trying Georgian food. We asked our waiter for recommendations and he suggested the cheese bread, chicken in walnut sauce, cauliflower, mushrooms, and taste of Georgia plate. We added in dumplings. There were 3 of us so we got all the recommendations, all delicious!! He brought us a great wine to pair after listening to our taste preference. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.“
“Stopped in just for a moment to escape the weather for a while. It was unusually quiet being the Sunday post Thanksgiving holidays, but the Cab Franc (chilled) was great and just $5 at Happy hour. Additionally, they had many Non-Alcoholic options. The general atmosphere was great, very cozy, with a cellar/bunker/hunting lodge vibe, movies playing on the projectors and a pac-man arcade game in the back.“
“It's just a stellar place, the interior is gorgeous, and our party decided to stay in the outdoor cabin. For a party of six, it was cozy but be wary of be who sits on the outside sometimes that wind will cut deep between the sliver of an opening. The food and service was exceptional. Truly great experience. It “
“Ooooof. Amazing!! Incredible!! A must try!! Came for my birthday while in NYC and we weren't disappointed! Everything we had was incredible!! The service was impeccable. The atmosphere is perfectly classy. I can't wait to go back!!!!“
“Italian-American owner, a place to enjoy an Italian style aperitif: cocktails, wine and beers with excellent cheese platters, and absolutely excellent cold cuts platters. Then sandwiches or various appetizers. It's not a restaurant but it's worth the trip.“
“Loveee the vibe! Very cute/casual, great if you're looking for a chill spot to grab some drinks and chat with friends. The music was perfect and definitely set the right tone. As soon a we grabbed spot at the bar, the staff gave us water and took our orders right away. Service was great throughout the rest of the night. Everything is fairly priced and the bar snacks are what you'd expect. Excited to come back during the summer for the outdoor patio!“
“Fantastic date spot in West Village. Cozy interior and options for outdoor seating. Authentic French cuisine and vibes. Loved the cocktails and service was friendly and quick. Went here for brunch before a jazz show nearby. Highly recommend.“
“Lively place. My friend from Italy he recommended this place. We were group of 9, mostly vegetarian. Excellent service and everyone loved the food. The portions were pretty good size. Highly recommend and can’t wait to back out. Yes, good for date as I saw few couple and great for friends night out as well.“
“The moment you walk into Rosemary's, you feel as if you've wandered into a completely different world - the ambience is incredibly inviting and beautiful! It's the perfect place for a date or dinner with friends. Honestly, I would even go back alone for lunch with a good book one day!We had a 6:00pm reservation and didn't get seated until 6:15pm on a Saturday evening. We were meeting our friends who were visiting from GA so it wasn't a big deal as we had a lot to catch up on anyway. Our server was very attentive, knowledged on the food and drink menu, and kind. She definitely set a great tone for the evening.Drinks are well-made here. My friend's husband ordered the Stiletto Manhattan - very good. I got the pistachio highball, also very good! I admittedly did order the stiletto manhattan the second time around as it was that good! My friend ordered the Rosemary's prosecco and was very happy with it.We ordered the carrots and Rosemary's focaccia for the table - both were excellent, especially the bread! That is not to be missed. The entrees were individual portions which worked out well so we all got to try something different. My husband and I shared the rigatoni alla arrabiata and the mushroom risotto (and by share, I am pretty sure I ate all of my rigatoni and then tried to eat his risotto as well - sooo good!). Our friends ordered the orecchiette and (I think) the bolognese - both seemed happy with their choices. Dessert was the olive oil cake and the chocolate torta - can't go wrong with either choice! I got a cappuccino to end the night, which they initially forgot to bring out, so by the time I got it was kind of cold and not so great tasting, but not terrible.I'll definitely have to visit Rosemary's again and am hoping for a repeat of our first visit regarding food and service!“
“I made a reservation at this restaurant two weeks in advance, yet upon arrival, we were initially offered seating at the bar. We declined, expressing our preference for a table, which they eventually accommodated. It was quite disappointing to be directed towards the bar, especially when it's clear that we were there for a more intimate dining experience. Despite this initial hiccup, the rest of our evening was delightful. The service was excellent, and the food was truly delicious. However, due to the significance of first impressions, I'm rating this experience four stars. Thank you.Vegetarian options: Came for the vegetarian menu“
“Embarking upon the gastronomic journey that is Barnea in the heart of Manhattan, one finds themselves in a culinary dreamscape, where each dish serves as a verse in an epicurean sonnet. This establishment isn't just a restaurant; it's a symphony of flavors conducted by the maestro chefs, with the bustling, yet impeccably orchestrated, service reminiscent of a New York minute—swift, efficient, and without a beat missed. Our odyssey commenced with a parade of appetizers that whispered tales of the sea, the earth, and the ethereal realms in between. The king salmon crudo, a dish that seemingly swam from the ocean depths directly to our plates, offered a refreshing prelude with its delicate texture and zesty accompaniments. The Barnea egg Benedict, a celestial reimagining of a brunch classic, was poached not just in water, but in a potion of culinary magic, making each bite a revelation. The polenta fries were like golden beams of sunshine on a plate—crispy on the outside, whisper-soft within, proving that even the humblest ingredients can be elevated to haute cuisine. Crispy dumplings, a playful nod to the global palate, danced with flavors that were at once familiar and novel. Patatas bravas, a dish steeped in tradition, were reborn here, fiery and bold. The beef carpaccio, a testament to the art of simplicity, melted away on the tongue, leaving behind a longing for just one more bite.As we ventured into the main course, the narrative deepened. The duck confit risotto was a masterful blend of textures and tastes, each grain of rice telling a story of craftsmanship and care. The glazed beef short ribs, tender to the point of poetry, were glazed in a sauce that could only be described as liquid gold. The rack of lamb, an ode to the pastoral, was a symphony of succulence and seasoning, while the tournedos, a ballet of beef at its most tender and flavorful, performed gracefully on the palate. The chef's special miso black cod, a dish of understated elegance, whispered secrets of the sea with every forkful.Ah, the grand finale of our gastronomic ballet at Barnea, where the curtain call was as sweet as the symphony preceding it. Dessert is, after all, the encore that every foodie soul yearns for, a final note that lingers long after the performance has ended. And what a standing ovation our choices garnered! The Key Lime Pie, not merely a dessert but a voyage, transported us to the sun-drenched groves of Florida with each bite. Its delicate balance of tart and sweet sang a duet with the buttery, crumbly crust, a harmony so divine that even the angels paused to listen. This was not just a pie; it was a slice of bliss, a creamy whisper of dreams made tangible.La Noisette, on the other hand, was a masterclass in the art of subtlety and sophistication. A ballet of hazelnuts, chocolate, and cream that pirouetted across the palate with grace and elegance. Each spoonful was a brushstroke of flavor, painting a portrait of indulgence that was as exquisite to the eye as it was to the taste. This dessert was a love letter to the senses, penned in the language of sweetness and texture. To dine at Barnea is to partake in a feast for the senses, a testament to the art of cooking, and a reminder of the joy that can be found in a meal not just eaten, but experienced. Would I do it all over again? In a New York heartbeat.“
“Really sweet nail shop. My manicure has lasted more than a week which is unheard of for a conventional manicure for me. Shop is very clean and cute. My only complaint was that the woman who did my nails gave zero massage and applied the color too fast and it bubbled up. Another person fixed it for me and it’s great!“
“I came here for dinner on a Thursday night, and it was a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Freddy, had a personal touch that transformed our dining experience into one of warmth and recognition, ensuring we felt exclusively attended to.The culinary highlight, among others, was the innovative ceviche, a mix of nicely tangy grapes and spicy peppers, as well as the creamykale risotto. These two dishes really captured the spirit of the restaurant's innovative and carefully crafted menu with a commitment to freshness, creativity, and harmony of flavors. The sommelier's role in enhancing the dining experience cannot be overstated. With a keen eye for unique and interesting wines, the sommelier had a perfect mix vintage and varietals selections. This place has an incredible selection of wine bottles, definitely recommend trying at least one during your visit.Definitely an exciting new restaurant in the city, and one that takes its food and wine selection seriously. Excellent work by the whole staff, will definitely visit again.“
“Absolutely first-class upscale Italian food! The service provided by Anselmo and others was equal to the finest European service. The tomato-vegetable soup was redolent with fresh aromas and flavors straight from the garden. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the branzino prepared table side was an other-worldly experience. A great wine list. Pricey, but well worth it! Would definitely go back!“
“I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how great the service was at this very popular wine bar. We went in on a Friday night before seeing a play across the street. The staff could not have been nicer, very helpful with our selections and very professional. The manager even remembered us after we stopped back in after the play. The wine selections are nicely curated and the food is delicious. Will definitely stop back again.“
“Had such a nice time here !! First time at American dream mall. Came on a Saturday early afternoon for a quick drink. Service was amazing . Wait staff was super friendly and accommodating , 10 out of 10 . I’ll be back again because the vibes are amazing !! The wine selection was great, I loved the sangria “
