“My friend and I ordered:Seafood pancakeDolsot Al bapDuck bulgogiSpicy monkfishCorn creme bruleeI would definately go back for the dolsot al bap and spicy monk fish dishes. The dolsot comes w a beautiful uni creme combined with the crispy bits of rice and textural experience of the fish roe was amazing. The Spicy monk fish had ~4 to 5 small pieces coated with smokey/spicy sauce and some veggies mixed w rice was a great combo.I personally judge a place on how crispy the seafood pancakes are and this was CRISPY. Definately would get again, it was also full of big chunks of seafood which is always a plus. The duck bulgogi was the least memoriable. It had the texture of duck but mainly just tastes like regular bulgogi.Corn creme brulee was sweet but overly sweet with a minimal corn flavor and some corn bits at the bottom.Service:9/10The waitress helping us get seatted for our rsvp were accomodating with grtting a seat closer to the wall vs the aisle. Our waiter was informative and had great sense when asking if we wanted to take any pictures/videos before mixing the Al bap for us.Also advising both of us to get two dishes before we ordered was helpful. Before peak hours, the atmosphere was pleasant. But, the tables are very close together and when its packed during peak hours it can be challenging speaking to one another due to the level of noise/conversation.“

“Delightful authentic Spanish find with a beautiful interior, menu, wine list and the garden seating area is just magical - had a reservation and we sat under the transparent roof listening to the rain while enjoying tapas all night. Will be back whenever we’re feeling up for deliciosa comida española! ?? ps. Be sure to try the NYC x Espana basque cheesecake - WOW!“

“I’ve had my eye on this restaurant for some time and have been craving good Mediterranean inspired dishes. Dagon did not disappoint. To start, the hummus with green harissa and tomato jam was hands down my favorite hummus tasting in a long time! The flatbread was warm and delicious coated in fresh herbs and olive oil. What a pairing. My main order of salmon over braised red cabbage with a lemon apple butter was so good I couldn’t get enough. I can see why this place was so busy and packed for dinner service. The menu offerings are simply delicious.Honest review of the service/ambience: Our waiter was a bit absent throughout the meal but were taken care of by other staff members who stopped to check on us. I found the noise level to be a bit much at times. The music was just a bit over the top which seemed to resulted in the majority of diners raising their voices to have conversation so the atmosphere just felt hectic. But it was still an enjoyable experience. After all we are there for the food, right !“

“We went to Atoboy because hard to get the reservation of Atomix. Food is match the price of $75 prix-fixe. Only outstanding items are Stripe Bass & Korean Pear(forgot to take pictures). Better to have 3 people in a group that you could try everything. We must have Dessert due to someone birthday, but I wouldn’t suggest after we try. Atmosphere is more ideal for younger group.“

“Good upscale style vegan Asian fusion restaurant, although portions could be bigger. If you want a big satisfying meal I wouldn’t recommend coming here.I do highly recommend the Japanese sweet potato and sushi (can’t remember which roll). I wouldn’t normally order vegan sushi but this was surprisingly delicious even though there was no fish, so definitely worth it! We also had the Singapore noodles but that was just alright, very light and not much vegetables.“

“Offering a dedicated none kosher tasting menu at the lovely decorated backyard area that feels like an oasis in the urban environment. The eleven courses are served shared, but portioned based on the number of attendees. Feels like most are none kosher with the addition of bacon or pork. Really enjoyed scallops on risotto, roasted cauliflower and donuts. The fried red snapper was the weakest dish, filet and batter very bland, unseasoned.“

“I would say the ambiance is great, I can see why people have date nights here. The service is decent. The food is okay. I came from queens to try the unagi don because I didn’t see any places that will give you a whole piece like this. The eel was hard to break apart I would say, like kinda rubbery? Not sure how to explain it. The sauce is as expected. There are a lot of reviews saying the food is oily and I would say those are pretty accurate (especially for yakiniku). There’s not that much rice. We don’t drink so we can’t really comment on that. Either way, our overall experience was okay and it’s sort of try it once type of place.“

“Amazing staff and food!! We ordered the grilled pork appetizer and it was so delicious! The meat was super tender and flavored. It just melts in your mouth! For our entrees we got the seafood pad cha which comes with a good variety of seafood ranging from shrimp, scallop, squid, and mussels just to list some. The flavors just blended really well. And the classic drunkin noodles are always good ??“

“This last Saturday, had an amazing dining experience at Osamil. The weather outside was really bad and we reached Osamil only to find the place completely packed. I thought the wait time is going to be really long, but the manager found us a table pretty swiftly. And that feeling of happiness at being seated promptly in a packed place was only the beginning! Everything we ordered was delicious, including the simple fries. I didn't try to cocktails this time round because we were thirsty for some soju that evening. But, definitely going to return.Vegetarian options: The restaurant has vegetarian and vegan options. I am not a vegetarian but on this night, I had Mushroom japchae, which is a vegetarian dish.Dietary restrictions: The waitress, who took our order asked us about any allergies and when I mentioned that I have seafood allergy, she went to great details to understand the extent of my allergies. Moreover, she ensured at the kitchen that my food won't have any oyster sauce.“

“Our 60th birthday dinner could not have been better in any way. The food was fantastic. Shared many small plates including spanakopita, spreads, zucchini chips, shrimp, beat salad, shredded Brussel sprout salad. The restaurant wasn't too noisy. (It was a weeknight.) They sat us at a round table which made it easy to converse. Look forward to a return visit.“

“We've eaten a lot of korean food in NYC, including various price points and tasting menus, and this is hands-down one of the best we've experienced. The dishes are inventive, but have a balance of flavors that are both familiar as well as new. Dishes are well seasoned, cookery is excellent. No complaints. Would eat here repeatedly.“

“Cozy, dimly lit wine bar that is inviting. Prices for happy hour are very reasonable, a bottle of red wine costing $44. For nibbles we tried the goat and double cream cow cheese that came with a homemade apricot jam and spicy chutney - both which were very good. We sat at the bar in front of where they were prepping ingredients so got some marcona almonds and a spoonful of their delicious chocolate mousse. Would definitely come back.“

“Tl;dr food was decent, and service was good.Came here on a Tuesday night, and it was packed. Service was pretty great, and we always had our water refilled. Dishes also came out extremely fast; we were in and out in about 20 minutes. Food was good, but nothing special. The creamy udon was ok, but the sushi was surprisingly really good.“

“The food here was absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the ambience was cool (including the music). I lived in Japan for a few years and really couldn't find good agedashi tofu anywhere - but the agedashi tofu here was so so good. I would go again just for the agedashi tofu. We also had the beef nabe, okonomiyaki, ddukboki, and yakisoba - all of the dishes were superb.“

“Her food is really delicious! ! ! ! The ingredients are all very fresh, the food is served very quickly, the food is beautiful and the portions are large, and the service quality is super nice! The fried eel slices are a must-try. The eel slices are so fresh and bouncy when eaten, and they go perfectly with the bamboo shoots! The pickled fish is also super delicious, the meat is tender and firm, and the pickled cabbage is soothing and refreshing! ! Super recommended! !“

“I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how great the service was at this very popular wine bar. We went in on a Friday night before seeing a play across the street. The wine selections are nicely curated and the food is delicious. Will definitely stop back again.“

“Hidden Gem in every sense of the words. This tops the list of one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Chef Jeremy does absolutely everything possible to transform his tiny space into the best part of your trip to Dumbo. The food is next level, we were blown away by the braised beef noddles. Dont skip on the dumplings, they are some of the best dumplings we had in NYC. The matzah ball soup dumplings were an innovative showstopper. Mad respect for this place, thank you!“

“We grabbed an early reso prior to a performance downtown. By the time we left, the place was abuzz with great music, a cool vibe, and great service. We started off with a couple of cocktails which were unique and quite refreshing. Our server, Romi, gave us suggestions and they were spot on. The hummus was some of the best we've ever had. Creamy with warm whole chickpeas on top along with some spice which all melted in our mouths. Great consistency with some fresh challah to clean the plate. The burning potato was a nice combo of smashed spuds along with creme fraiche and shaved horseradish. Really rich and smooth! The Spanish Mackerel was sitting in a sauce of tomato seeds and spices. The remaining challah was a nice sponge to soak up every bit of it. We topped off the meal with their cheesecake...nothing ordinary at all. It was creamy, buttery and unique in it's own way. Stellar experience!“

“The combination of Spanish and Venezuelan cuisine is perfectly executed in this restaurant! Henry our server helped to recommend us some of his favorite dishes, I highly recommend the arepitas. “We used to come here, all the time. Now, one of our favorite staff is gone and our other only works on weekends. And, the reviews were not good for a while. But, I've always loved this place and convinced my friends to try again. So glad we did! The food is as good as it always was (even though my unfortunate dietary needs have limited me.) And our server--Rebecca--was SO on top of things! She guided me every step of the way, and even alerted me to bad for ME ingredients in some of our old faves. She made us feel like she had no other customers for the evening. She was so attuned! Good to see some other familiar faces, as well. The only reason I had to score low was not really Tia's fault. One of my friends required a proper chair, rather than one of the higher ones or a seat at the bar. So, we had to sit in back. Sadly, there was a group of young women, having a birthday party. Not only were they so loud that I had to shout to be heard--and usually I'm the one being told to be quieter--but they really dwarfed the entire room with their selfishness. So, not a critique on my beloved Tia Pol. This is more of a warning to keep a lookout for big groups of women if you're going to sit in the back room. Otherwise, you're in good hands!“

“I love the vibe of this tiny standing wine bar. It reminds me of a traditional Japanese izakaya. You don't get much cozy neighborhood bars in Manhattan anymore, especially not in Chelsea, which is flooded with trendy cocktail bars serving $20 pre-tax/tip cocktails. Somehow the food served manages to be simply delicious as well. And no, that's not the wine talking.1. WHITE ANCHOVY (marinated in vinegar + sicillian olives) $72. GRILLED CALAMARI (sauteed kale, bottarga) $163. GRILLED BRANZINO (shredded carrots, celery, onion dressing) $174. PENNE AMATRICIANA (applewood smoked bacon, onion, parmesan, tomato sauce) $16“

“The staff is absolutely amazing. The grilled cheese was the star of the 3 items. The grilled cheese was full of flavor and had amazing texture. The chicken and waffles was “meh, the mushrooms lacked flavor and was overly greasy, but the waffle was great. The brûlée had a great crunchy sugary top with a smooth custard, if you like the flavor of coconut, then this will be great pick.“
“Coziest wine bar ever with the best service. Get here early on the weekends because it's small and gets busy. I've had the brownie, the mussels, oysters, and hummus and all were delicious. I even asked for a non red pairing for the brownie and it paired well lol. Last time I was here I brought a book to read and they made the lighting a little brighter for me. All in all great.“

“Came on a Monday night and it filled up by the time we were almost done with our meals (8pm?) the crowd was more or less people coming after work and some families here and there. The server shared recommendations which helped. We went with the burger and sandwich of the day. The sandwich looked better with the pesto chicken wrapped in naan bread. The bun was squished and sad looking and wasn’t the best we’ve tried. The fries were a little soggy. Overall not a bad place but maybe I’ll just try drinks next time“

“Everything here is amazing. Usually when I think of tapas, I think of either junk food or small portions, but this restaurant proved me wrong.Sure, you can still get the “traditional” tapas, but they’re all cooked very well. But they also had some of the best paella we’ve ever had (similar to a Miami paella…we’ve had a lot of paella in a lot of cities, so I hope that comparison makes sense)The lamb skewers with the mint were incredible too. My husband loved the churros (nothing groundbreaking, but again, cooked very well)If I were to swap one thing, I’d swap the pulpo for another order of lamb skewers. It was cooked well, but I think I was expecting gallego seasoning (since it was a Spanish restaurant), but it was really more like grilled pulpo. If you’ve never tried pulpo before, try it here, but otherwise, I would have chosen something more unique. But again, it was cooked VERY WELL.Service is greatAnd I never bring up the price….but…I was shocked to get such good food for that price (3 people only $120 with a drink). And we were absolutely stuffed, too.“
