As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. “Some of the best tacos I've had on the East coast. These are on par with California and Texas tacos. Most of the tacos in NYC and NY and terrible, but not Los Ferchos. This is a great family run deli, with the whole family helping to make super authentic tacos in the back. “This place has been around for a long while, but I only came here for the first time this past summer, and now, whenever I find myself in the area, I try to come by here for a nice fresh sandwich for lunch. “We recently had a retirement party with food catered by Benateri’s. I dealt with Benny the owner who is a true professional. We walked in with no idea how much food to order. He gave us an estimate on how much food we needed to feed the entire party, and he was spot on with how much we needed. The party turned out to be a big success, there was more than enough food for everyone. I was constantly being asked where the food was from as it was the best they have ever at a catered party. All their food was amazing but the standout was their penne with vodka sauce, is probably the best I’ve ever had, it’s amazing. We also ordered had some Spanish style Pernil which is super tender and a surprising real hit, yellow rice, the classics chicken parm, eggplant parm, ziti, Jack Daniel’s Pepper Steak(amazing!), a couple of chicken cutlet hero’s and much more. All in all 22 trays of food packed very well, on time, and neatly for pick up. We will definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable and food quality and customer service is excellent.
