“I ordered catering for my birthday event last weekend and the food was amazing! I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. “Fantastic food, great service, and cozy atmosphere. Wife and I came here on a Sunday morning and sat at the counter. I had the breakfast tacos with chorizo and a side of grits. My wife had the Beckler omelette and a single lemon ricotta pancake. Everything was absolutely delicious!“

“The service here is truly 5 stars, worth it to return for that attention and comfort. They have the routine down and give you the attention you want and feel special on for a night out. Definitely recommend reservations as it got major crowded in the tables and around the bar. Their cocktail list is impressive and was not disappointing in execution. We had the stuffed mushrooms to start and it was juicy though underseasoned. Their steaks were exactly what you want and I recommend the au poivre sauce as a tangy condiment. That was memorable for sure. The place overall just seems dark and outdated in furnishings, especially in the bathrooms. Their food hits the mark and service makes it worth returning.“

We all know airport food isn't great so being that I got a great meal, I had to give them props. I got the brussel sprouts salad and added chicken. The grilled chicken was well seasoned/charred. Salad was low on brussel sprouts but the mixed greens made up for it. Almonds, pomegranate seeds, and craisins were a nice mix. Overall I'm just happy I got a fresh and good tasting salad in good portion size. Still overpriced but what can you do? It's at the airport.“

“Definitely a five star experience!!! We arrived just before happy hour ended (4-5:30) and they were kind enough to place a quick order of oysters!!! They were super fresh and delicious... favs were west coast (sorry NJ). Next, came the Parker rolls!!! Probably my favorite part of the meal, but then again, who doesn't like homemade, freshly baked rolls with buttered top and a touch of salt!!! Because everything looked so good, we opted for a bunch of other appys to start! The New Zealand angus beef bites were served with horseradish aioli and a Parker roll, the halloumi cheese was accompanied by orange slices, prosciutto, radicchio and dehydrated olives. The octopus was spectacular... crispy with romanesco sauce, fried chickpeas, cilantro and paprika breadcrumbs. Of course, we had to also try the OHS mussel pot... with chorizo, saffron, garlic cream, sun dried tomatoes... and an herbed garlic roll on top!!! LOVED THEM ALL! It's not often that so many different, but complimentary flavors are presented in each dish!!! We could have stopped our meals there and would have been pleasantly satisfied and full! Next, we chose a couple of the sirloin sandwiches with fries, and the squid ink pasta with Calabrian chili and Meyer lemon breadcrumbs!!! All was very good. The evening was finished with 3 of their delicious desserts... the lemon meringue tart was the perfect sweet with a pucker. The molten dark chocolate cake was decadent. And the trio of gelatos were each so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Wow!!! Given that 100 steps is a BYOB, it makes everything even more affordable! We had spectacular service in this beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It was quite a special evening!“

“The hubby and I tried Tommy’s in Carteret this afternoon. Homemade chili, no beans. Nice, smooth bit of heat. It was good. I believe they are using a Sabrett hot dog. The onion rings were EXCELLENT! Everything was fresh and very tasty. This family has been selling hot dogs in the Carteret and Rahway area since the very early 1960’s. Jimmy who is the son of the original owner, Tommy was very friendly. He couldn’t have been happier to explain his menu offerings to us, and partake in some friendly conversation. Four hot dogs with two toppings on each, an order of onion rings, and a Diet Coke was $19. There are a couple of outdoor tables to sit at, or a no frills trailer to sit in. It’s not a fancy place, but we weren’t there for fancy. We were there for some good dawgs, and we got them. We will definitely be back for more, and to try the freshly made burgers and cheesesteaks.?“

“Walked in on a busy Saturday evening with my wife. The place was bustling but we were able to grab two seats at the bar after waiting about 10 minutes. Sara was tending bar and she greeted us right away. We shared a steak, arugula salad, a side of onion rings, and had a couple of drinks. One of the best meals we've had in a while on datenight and Sara's service was top notch. My wife and I go to Roots often and we found the food and service better here. “I visited the Old Bermuda Inn for the first time. I have always noticed it from the 440 Staten Island and thought it was beautiful especially when it is lit up at night. I was excited to go. I parked my own car. The front of the venue was beautiful. The school I work for hosted an event on the first floor of over 300 people and over 200 baskets. Seating was comfortable, the tables were beautiful and I was near the bar. Our waitress was on point. I ate the salad with garlic bread, penne vodka and the salmon. My husband got the Chicken Marsala. Many of my coworkers had the stake. They all came with a veggie melody and roasted potatoes. All of the food was delicious. My ultimate favorite was the dessert. It was a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a brownie. I enjoyed it so much that I took the person next to me dessert too bc they were busy dancing and it was melting. The only thing I wished for was a cup of coffee.My family has two events planned there soon. I am looking forward to going back!“

I've stopped in about 2-3 times for drinks and appetizers. The food has always been very tasty. Little on the pricey side. On a positive note, you're only a few steps away from the theater. As of now, I've had Chicken Sausage Appetizers and a Steak Quesadilla. Nice wine and cocktail list. We've enjoyed their wine and cocktails on a previous visit. In December '23, I had an issue making reservations. Left two telephone messages and never received a call back. I couldn't even make a reservation on Opentable or Resy. We stopped in and informed the hostess of the issue. Anyway, we ended up eating at the bar. The Carriage House Restaurant does offer Cabaret and Murder Mystery shows.“

The crème brûlée was also exquisite- the perfect texture and it was bruleed just how I like it :) the waiter was also lovely!“
