“After hearing about Keens was a must try it night. Got there at 4ish and was seated immediately. Had the oysters Rockefeller which were very good. Caesar salad fresh but a bit too much dressing followed by an outstanding porter house which was cooked perfectly medium rare, accompanied by a nice baked potato. Dessert was the crème brûlée delicious. Our waiter Milton was very good and service excellent. Everyone in the restaurant were very friendly. Definitely will return but would probably recommend reservations, we went early but by 6pm pretty full.“
“I've been wanting to try this place for months and made time on this trip. Beautiful bar with an inviting and helpful staff. It was a Monday afternoon, so not too busy. The selection of beer was really good with a solid HH (perfect if you want to try a more expensive brew).“
“Great local. I've been coming here for years and never bothered to leave a review, but had such a great time through it seemed worth it. Food is stellar and diverse, beer selection always has what I want, and staff is engaging, cheeky, and make you feel welcome. Recommend anyone in the area stop by.“
“I hosted 25 people here, in the back patio, and Avoca was fantastic. So accommodating, allowed everyone to have separate tabs, got the heaters out, and lent us speakers (it was a trivia night). The food and drinks are excellent (get the truffle fries and the Smokey Oaxaca cocktail!), and the service truly could not have been better. The vibe inside is swanky but chill, cozy and also a little fancy, not like a pub. Avoca is definitely one of my fave UES bars and restaurants.“
“This is one of the oldest pub, Irish Style in New York City. Over 130 something years old. This is an institution. When I am in town, that's where you'll find me. This place is just great, period. The best pint of Guinness! The best bartenders ! A serious item on your must do list. “
“Everytime i Côme here, i forget write something. Drinks are amazing. The bartenders Kelbel aveen and that Irish stud are amazing i wish i could recall his name but he knows who he is. lol. Everyone is so nice. Watermelon drugstore is my fav and truffle fries. The place is such a vibe.“
“Met up with my partner after a rehearsal she had down here (she’s the best!) anywho - tried to walk into red hook tavern without a res (like a coupla chumps!). They saidIt was gonna be a seven year wait til we could get the shrimp cocktail, so tail-between-our-legs we hobbled down Van Brunt (like adorable animated dogs from a 90’s Disney Movie) and poked our heads into TGFP (we are on an acronym basis at this point ;) - the vibes ? Immaculate. The food? Indescribable (( actually think the burger rivals RHT ?)), but I digress - unpretentious, creative menu, another gem of the neighborhood. Come here folks or I’ll come and get you !“
“Wow!!! Busy or not this is the best spot for a craft experience. Friendly & knowledgeable bartenders and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. After being treated awfully at another spot today this was a night and day difference!!“
“We stumbled in while exploring tribeca, and had an amazing time! The bartender/owner, Melissa made sure to take time to engage and have a conversation with us while we enjoyed our drinks. We made a few friends and learned some great history about the property and the neighborhood. Would ? come back, any time!“
“Old school bar with a great atmosphere and great staff. Fantastic sandwiches and hamburgers, but don't expect too much variety with food. Not that it matters. I come for a burger and a beer, and I'm never disappointed. A quite literally hidden gem.“
“Best bar in FiDi! The bartenders are super friendly and pored so much wine for me and the Guinness is on point (can’t try Guinness anywhere else but here), no Rudy customers like other bars in FiDi, and just shocked at how reasonable it is! (Independent family run). Have to come back for their food!“
“The entire vibe of the place was great. It's an Irish pub, I think. Everyone there was friendly and very accommodating. The food was phenomenal. The burgers were so good. Definitely recommend this place to anyone trying new burger spots.“
“As someone from NJ who doesn't know the area and needing somewhere to "hang out" for several hours, I read the reviews here and I can attest to their being "on the money." TeeDee's is welcoming and a place where everyone "knows your name", if you want them to. The drinks were just like I like them and prices are very reasonable. I wish it was closer to home and I'll be back when in the area!! Go and visit!!“
“Overall rating: 4.9This place is underrated. Love the low key, chill energy in LES. No frills, which is my middle name. The drinks are STRONG, in the best possible way. I didn’t experience any karaoke, but I think I was there too early in the night. Went around 8 on a Saturday.Definitely want to go again if I’m looking for a nightcap or just a chill place in the area.“
“The food is fabulous, the authentic spices of Ethiopian cuisine in a menu of dishes that crosses a broad span of palettes. Service was outstanding. I loved the sambusa and the chickpea lentils (and I am a serious carnivore!) The deserts are delicious - a sweet melawach and a melt in your mouth halva.“
“Hosted a birthday party (~30 people) for my spouse in the back room and I CANNOT recommend this place enough!! The staff is so responsive and friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, the bartender was incredible. If you’re looking to host an event somewhere, DO IT HERE. I imagine it’s also a great spot to just pop by and grab a drink!“
“This was my wife and I first visit to NYC. We decided to pick this place to watch the football game. Our bartender, James, was excellent. He made sure are food orders were well-prepared and our drinks were on point!!! Thanks James and TapHaus for a great ?? evening.“
“It was a map search that led us to this cool bar. We were a big group, they set up some tables for us on the terrace, even though it was winter, we weren't cold. What I liked the most was the chicken burger. But everything was very good, both the wings, the salad, the hamburgers and the sandwich. The best thing about the place, apart from the food, was Amy (I don't know how to spell her name), the waitress who served us. He deserves a raise. Take good care of it because it gives you customer loyalty.Amy, thanks for everything, never change you, we never forget your attention.I loved the way the tap water was served, as if it were liquor.“
“First timer there even though I believe they've been around but the food and drinks were awesome and the have screens everywhere for your sports viewing and they will try to set you up with your game while you soak up some food and refreshments....recommend it!!!“
“We just had our engagement party there and not only was it an easy process, but the staff was also friendly and professional every step of the way. Everyone kept commenting on what a great space it was for the party and the food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend.“
“I was a regular at Pete's in the 1980's. A young family and a move to the suburbs turned me into a less frequent but loyal visitor for decades. A move to North Carolina and the pandemic had me away for five years. But, I returned again in 2023 and the magic of Pete's was truly the same as it ever was. Every employee seems to understand their role in making Pete's feel like home to every guest. Congratulations on your continuing success.“
“After watching a college basketball game, we went to this local bar/ pub that I had visited before and I was not disappointed. There were patrons who knew each other and were actually pleased to see each other sort of like the series Cheers only better. The ambiance, food, drinks, and music was just right to enjoy the afternoon . Our server was friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back.“
“I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We ordered the Totchos (tater tot nachos) which were delicious and had drinks flowing. Nikki, another bartender, arrived before we left and she was also so wonderful. The vibes were amazing - a lot of 20 somethings there to watch sports games. We ended up staying way longer than intended and I'm planning to come back here frequently!“
“We came down to watch the game and were welcomed and had a great morning. We did not have any food but what we saw looked good, the beer was delicious and the service excellent though. A great place to visit if you want an LFC game while in New York.“
“I visited Halyards before a show at Bell House on a Thursday night and was happy to see that it was busy but not packed. Our drinks were made quickly, and there was enough seating for my group. My friends grabbed beers but decided to try out the Light Wind. The Light Wind is a gin and lemon cocktail, which was fresh and delicious. The bartender was friendly and made great small talk while he made my drink. The indoor space is much larger than what you see when you initially enter Halyards, and the back area includes a pool table and a room with smaller tables. There is also an outdoor seating area with picnic benches making it a great spot for group meet-ups. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend Halyards!“
“Wandered into this bar on a friday and had a delightful experience. Impressive service, great cocktails, delicious top tier bar food. Staff were friendly and attentive. The volume level is perfect for conversation and I enjoyed that they had ESPN on with “
“Solid bar that has an incredible draft list and reasonably priced drinks. They also have some pretty interesting "shots", such as a pickled herring and vodka, mushroom and vodka, etc. I ended up getting two of the herring and vodka because I surprised by how much I actually liked it! Def do yourself a service and try it. It's cozy and dark inside, but has outside seating in front of the bar. Bartender was also super friendly. Would go back again!“
“All the food was awesome and very sharable here and they have a great selection of drinks as well. Shots are kind of small (served in tiny plastic shot cups), and it is exclusively cash only, but there is an ATM on site and their outdoor space is very spacious and can accommodate larger groups.“
“Quite literally stumbled on this bar years ago, and always felt at home in this underground bar nestled in such a busy part of the city. The craft beers available are well curated, and the atmosphere makes it easy to chat with people and the bartenders. Great date night spot to end the night.“
“My flight ar LaGuardia was canceled so I got a hotel in queens. I went to Cortland Ale house where Sined was minding the stick and poured me a fantastic pint. I asked her if they served food and she said no but recommended the tacos sin tequila. She said the food was great and I have to agree. She had a great personality and warm smile. The people were friendly and welcoming. It is a great place to relax with a great atmosphere.“
“My son and I visited JK's Boathouse for drinks and Thursday night Karaoke a few weeks back and enjoyed so much, I returned 2 weeks later. People are so friendly, lots of fun Karaokeers and Tabby the bartender MASTERS the bar and gets you your next beer before you know you're low!“
“Great time, great Guinness, great music. We had a little get together there in the back room and really enjoyed ourselves. The food they made for us was way above and beyond what I expected (I expected corn beef and cabbage, and nothing else :) ).“
“The perfect pub if you are in the desperate need of a quick pint. It's the definition of "fast drink" instead of "fast food" because sadly this place is lacking of food or at least snacks but I think it's the concept of this place to only serve drinks and I have to say they are doing that on the best level.“
“We had been told of this bar before our trip to NY. We called in and the place was packed. We got a table quick enough. We enjoyed the atmosphere and it was a great way to meet people. We enjoyed the banter with the staff. The drink was served up quick and we got food as well. We highly enjoyed it and would go again when over.“
“It was a lot of fun! There were 9 of us and the quickly brought our beer and appetizers; there was very little wait. The beer was great - just what you would expect from a beer garden! And the food was excellent too. We tried a variety of brauts and all of them were good. Will definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood!“
“Found on a hot day walking back from Central Park. Got a pitcher of beer for $17 which went down a storm. Great value. Waitress were ok, but (I'm going to be honest here) a little abrupt with us - not sure if it was because we were from out of town (British) because she was lovely as can be to other American customers. But this isn't an unusual thing to have happened to us on this trip ? But we loved the atmosphere of the place and the other patrons ?“
“10/10 This is my favorite spot to get wings and a burger in this area.Food: It has great buffalo wings, and the burger and fries are absolutely delicious. They have Pat LaFrieda patties and it hits every time. My friend had the Chicken Bites and loved them too. I need to try other things on the menu. Will report back Atmosphere: Cozy, classic pub vibe, but feels newer and super clean. It gets pretty busy for all sorts of sports game, and they have great outdoor seating in the summer.Service: The wait staff has always been super friendly whether it’s busy or not. They also make great suggestions on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Main entrance is a ramp, but I’m not sure about how accessible the bathroom is.“
“Full marks across the board, everything on the extensive menu is great with the Irish mixed grill and the salmon being my favorites. The portions are huge the servers are all terrific and in the evenings and weekends there is always a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to all food lovers and double recommend it to those on a budget“
“We loved this new bar. The bartenders were really nice. Drinks were also reasonably priced. They have this great backspace that’s roomy and comfortable. We got the waffle fries and they were delicious. It’s a pretty low key bar. Casual environment and a great place to just hangout. They have video games there which is always a fun thing to do while hanging out at a bar.Instagram: @TheShahLALand“
“The 4 stars for food is solely due to my preference and the fact I'm a vegetarian.Lovely pub w/ good vibes. Great low-key and welcoming place for brunchVegetarian options: The vast majority is not vegetarian. Most items on the menu can be made vegetarian“
“Great Irish pub with friendly staff and delicious food. They pay attention to the details like matching the branded glasses with the right beers. Service was very quick even though it was wall to wall busy since it’s a popular place. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Maggie herself!“
“Small, ill-marked bar with a great backyard seating area. I came here more than ten years ago and remembered an extensive Belgian beer list, but they appear to have pivoted somewhat in the interim. The tap list was good but not amazing, and the prices for cans and bottles were pretty high. With reset expectations I think I would really like it here, but I loved the old Belgian beer bar feel from times past.“
“The apps and entree are terrific!!Mike, the bartender, knows his stuff and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!@Parking: The parking lot is small but lots of street parking is available. But who cares the drinks, bartender, and food are terrific!!“
“They do not sell food, beer and wine only. They make a mean frozen sangria! I never have a problem getting a seat and the bartender remembered me! Cool spot.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get into the market, there are no stairs. It might be a little difficult to navigate once inside. The spaces between the different vendors can be narrow.“
“This is a great Irish pub and the bartender (Simon) is excellent. My daughter had a party here for her friends and everyone enjoyed it. Food is not served here, but you can bring food in. Ample selection of beers, bourbon, scotch, etc. They have "game" nights during the week...bingo, trivia, etc. Good place to watch sports...couple of TV's.“
“I love this place. I spent a couple nights over NFL Wildcard weekend this year watching the games. Great small town bar vibes, excellent for watching the games (especially on the Monday night, when it was much quieter than Saturday). Great barmen, no music and friendly clientele. You can order in your own food too.“
“This bar has a number of amenities that make it stand out like indoor bocchi and a comedy hall downstairs. There's even a library. However, these come at the expense of seating. I came here on a Saturday night and couldn't find anywhere to sit. I just had to stand for a bit and spy out a chair as soon as I could grab it.Their beer selection is alright, though lacking in a broader variety that would help it stand out.“
“A local watering hole you might even call a dive. Tons of space inside the dimly lit and dark wood bar. Friendly service and fair pricing.Cute patio out back, but nearly unusable in summer as it's also where all their AC condensing units are. Making it hotter/noisier than you'd expect.“
“A very nice bar with a variety of beers that you will find interesting. The ambience and the decorations are something you want from a Manhattan sports bar. The bar tenders and waiters were super cool and polite. I had a great time there on my last night in NY.“
“My wife and I were sailing out of New York on October 23rd. We always stay at a local hotel the night before. I did a Google search for a small local Italian restaurant nearby and stumbled on Cavalino's. I made reservations not knowing how crowded Sunday night would be. What a great find. We walked in and didn't even give our name and we were seated immediately. it quickly became evident that Marcelo was the maitre d, waiter, bar tender, busser and chef. What a guy who did it all and made you feel welcome. The food was outstanding and I dine in a lot of Italian restaurants. It was one of the best dining experiences in long time. When I paid our bill I looked for Marcelo only to find him in the kitchen working away. I congratulated him on such a great meal saying I wish we lived closer. He informed me that they may be closing and said maybe we will meet again somewhere else because you never know what life brings your way. Hopefully he continues on in his craft. Thank you Marcelo and staff for a great dining experience.“
