I’ll admit I headed here due to a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode however that “chapter ” of the Hightstown is closed. Open is this new incarnation which does not disappoint.I ordered the Greek Salad and enjoyed it thoroughly. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful. The olives magnificent, the Feta was so fresh I wondered if it was house-made, the dressing sublime. Crisply toasted Pita triangles adorned the plate for a great contrast and beautiful presentation.The price could not have been fairer, the service was friendly and quick.Vegetarian options: Not a “vegan/vegetarian” menu, however the kitchen stocks a great assortment of fresh vegetables. “Good burgers, so delicious, I ordered Korean Burger and Avocado Bacon burger. The Beef was so tender and taste of the sauce so good. I also ordered chocolate milk shakes with marshmallow on it. The place is clean, good service, helpful staffs. Oh and the restroom is very clean. I will come again“
“Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Starland Ballroom. Plenty of parking and a ton of tables. Has an old-school Italian feel to it. Huge menu with a lot of classic dishes. Served warm bread before the meal with the option of olive oil and butter. They had a peach sangria special that was excellent. I tried the lobster raviolis and was pleasantly surprised. These weren’t your typical store bought pre-frozen raviolis. No sir. Fresh made and stuffed with lobster. The chicken Murphy was enough for two people! Amazing. Rest assured, next time I’m at the Starland I will be stopping back here before the show.“

The food is phenomenal no matter what you choose to get.There’s been times we have craved lamb gyros - they make it so delicious.Times I want a veggie burger - always hits the spot.Most importantly - their chicken cheesesteaks are to DIE for. “Awesome place for comfort food in New Brunswick. The Mac n cheese bites are awesome. They pair it with a homemade “Big Mac sauce”. The cheese fries were great too, I believe they have their own homemade cheese sauce. Everything is priced in line with what you would expect for a local restaurant. It came to $35 for two people. Parking is a challenge but that’s New Brunswick for you.“
“I had an overall wonderful experience at Colonial Diner. The food was better than your average diner and the atmosphere was very notable. I spoke to who I believe to be the manager there about the place and he pointed out the original floors and tiles in the building. The diner had a long bar stretched across the building with multiple TVs playing movies. The staff was very friendly and my order was taken and came very quickly. I showed up about a little over an hour before closing and the restaurant did not have many people in there. The parking lot was large and had many spots. I came on a Thursday night and the staff was very quick everything was done almost immediately after sitting down.“

“I had to stop by to write this review! I ordered the honey garlic and the honey buffalo chicken wings for the Super Bowl and boy I wasn’t disappointed!!! It was finger licking good and I was so surprised that we had no left overs and our guest was inquiring about this place because it was so good. The wings were cooked to perfection, not hard or burnt under the sauce just a nice crisp that made everything so enjoyable. The owner was super sweet and the round tray that she put everything in was very professional. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some more food on her menu along with the wings. We originally booked the party room, but once our numbers exceeded the room limit, we were able to use part of the restaurant. They were extremely accommodating about everything. Toward the end of our meal, Lance came over to check on us, he seemed to be a manager. We chatted for the next 10-15 minutes, as if we'd known each other forever. “Great burger, 9 out of 10 at least. Side of "seasoned tots" is misleading and were not worth it, they're just plain home fries. Avoid getting a lettuce bun or "tots" if you're doing takeout - they will be too soggy to be any good by the time you get home.“

I tried to ask what the chicken maroosh sandwich is but from the explanation, it's the same chicken as the gyro, just different toppings. Chicken on the chicken gyro was alright, interesting flavor that I wasn't expecting but good. I love that it's made fresh to order. The sauce was similar to a tzatziki but a little different. The cheese fries were excellent. Crispy hot and good generic yellow cheese sauce. Asked for ground pepper and we had to get it in a small condiment cup to sprinkle on which was unusual because they didn't have pepper shakers. I'll definitely come back.“
“Went with my husband and son, brought back memories from when our little family began 27 years ago and we would take mini trips to find this delicious chicken. Same taste and smell, friendly and clean. Spending the weekend with my son and husband made it more special, we don’t get to see our son that much because he’s in the military. Love this place!“
“Excellent location. My teen son and I were going out to eat and were disappointed to find that our Morganville location was already closed to new customers a little before 8 PM. We searched and found that the East Brunswick location was open until midnight, and we drove there. The food and service were both excellent, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The young man who was our waiter (I am sorry to not have gotten his name, but it said Giovanni P on our receipt) was wonderful and very attentive to us. Mind you we were there later in the evening, and we were greeted with cheer even that late hour. My son was happy to see that there was a Sonic the Hedgehog menu, as he is a Sonic video game fan, an added bonus. I will not hesitate to come to this location again and would be fine making this our new go to Ihop, as it is close enough to where we live.“

“Was looking for a good burger and I found it. Best burger around hands down. I had the bleu's brutha burger and fell in love. The French fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious also. The general manager, Kyle couldn't have been sweeter or more attentive. He definitely has found his niche with his open and warm personality. I highly recommend this burger bar. Ps. If you like peanut butter, do yourself a favor and try the nutter udder shake made with peanut butter whiskey. AMAZING!“
