“Passed this place a thousand times without ever noticing it, but read some positive reviews and decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered the typical Colombian breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs made with diced tomatoes and scallions, chorizo, and the Columbian version of a tortilla with melted Mexican style cheese. All absolutely delicious. The coffee was great too. Columbian coffee with frothed milk, so good. I ate at the counter and conversed with the proprietors and they were so nice. Will definitely return.“

“Visited 2 times—first the bakery during a pit stop for some sweets, and then the restaurant the next Saturday evening for a big family dinner. Pablo and Octavio made our night a wonderful one! The majority of my in laws had not experienced Colombian cuisine/culture until this evening. “Had brunch at the restaurant. Huge menu and everything we ordered was great. The breakfast dish that was a combination of a toasted cheesy arepa, grilled beef, and fried rice blew my mind. “Delicious. My wife and I happened to stop on this street and spotted Don Ricky's Bakery. A small and neatly maintained bakery that specializes in some of the authentic Colombian delicacies. The yucca bread is always warm and fresh. Delicious. The Colombian coffee was also delicious!!!!“

“This is a beauty of a hidden gem in Elizabeth, NJ. I’ve never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before like I did in El Parador Rojo Restaurant. I will admit the food is very good, but also very pricey. However, the people are so warm and friendly, very inviting. The live music is very fun and I love seeing the customers dance! “Tried LB for the first time last week. To go , Pollo Francese and Pollo a La Plancha. The Frances was FANTASTIC-had leftovers for lunch on a nice roll. Comes w 2 sides all of which were good. “I order seafood rice, my husband order steak, and a friend order a steak as well all with side items. We also order 4 mojitos and 3 margaritas all together. The staff was very polite and came back to check on us. The food was delicious and cooked well. Seafood was to my liking. The margaritas and mojitos were great. “Best prices in all of Somerset street North Plainfield!!! I always get batido de mora with milk. The empanadas go for $1 and they have chicken or beef. I prefer the chicken one and do alot of my friends but it really goes down to preference. My family loves their bandeja paisa as this is what they're mainly known for and everything is served pretty quickly. You can also order to go!“
