“Have been coming here for 20+ years since I was a kid. I swear it keeps getting better. Years ago sometimes you'd have a bad day, a rough server, food that was good but not great. That's never the case the last several years everything about this place has gotten better. I get something different every time and today's was my favorite cocktail and favorite meal.“

“My absolute favorite place in Lavallette. The food is always SO good (and elevated beyond!) the ambience is great. Sitting outside in the summer is the best. They also have outdoor seating in the fall and winter with heat lamps. They offer live music a lot. They are kid friendly. Great menu options. Good cocktails, great selection of beers. The service is great. Cannot say enough good things about Castaways, a great addition to the area!“

“Last night was my first time coming here and I’ll definitely be back. We were a party of 9 for girls night and ended up in a beautiful secluded room. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the service and food were both excellent! I highly recommend if you have a larger party like we did. Can’t wait to come back with my husband!“

The service staff is extremely professional - best we've experienced in years, especially our waiter - wish we caught his name all we know is he's Brazilian, been there for 4 years, and is very proud to work there. Owners: Give that man a Gold Star. Our meal was fantastic. Very good tuna and salmon, cooked exactly as ordered and plated/served beautifully. No shrinkflation here, the portions are generous so lay off the bread basket if you can. The desert, a dark chocolate and choc mousse masterpiece, was the best desert I've had in my 6 decades of living, no exaggeration.We will definitely return to Charlie's!“

“OK, I know it’s not summer yet. However we visited the shrimp box for the first time and we have to say it was excellent! Our server Taylor was superior and went above and beyond. “Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.“

“Loved my experience at Red Fox. Nice to have this spot right off the beach at Island Beach State Park. Very popular so it does get crowded, but for good reason. Nice to have draft specials in the middle of the day. And a raw bar w great clams.“

“This is an absolute wow restaurant. There is nothing on the menu that's generic and everything has a personal touch to it. I got to meet the owners and they were the most down to earth friendly people. The clams were an excellent appetizer, followed by one of the best medium-rare prime ribs I've ever had. They absolutely nailed it. The rest of my party enjoyed the seafood they ordered. The dry scallops had by others were raved about and the service was top notch. This is a high end seafood restaurant with all the charm of a seaside inn. I absolutely can't wait to go back.“

We love Shady Rest for the food(any chicken or fried scallops should always be considered) but for the most part, the dining experience has usually been random, at best. Tonight, we had the pleasure of being seated in Janine's section, and we've never had a finer experience at Shady Rest. Janine was The Best! Everything came out correctly and we never waited for a refill. We will be back soon on a Saturday night to sit in Janine's section.“

“Nice place for Mexican food. Nice large bar. Not really a traditional Mexican restaurant. Free chips are good at first but eventually have a weird metallic aftertaste, in my personal opinion. I was told it gets crowded on the weekends, but I can't confirm this. Not a bad place. Give it a try.“

“Its literally an Italian tavern! Rustic wood cabin vibes, with a comprehensive classic Italian menu. Upscale casual. Staff works hard, food prices are fair for 2024. They have tons of weeknight specials too, and have a vibrant bar scene for sports. Solid cocktail and wine list. Only knock is the food itself is above average, but not a full fledged 'great'. A few items were bland and not well seasoned. Portion size is hit or miss depending on what you order. Seems like a very dependable place in the Manasquan-Sea Girt-Spring Lake area - especially if you take advantage of their specials and promotions.“

“This is a great local spot in downtown Point Beach. Went Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar to watch some bball games. The bartenders were excellent, Chicken tacos were phenomenal and huge portions. Not very big inside but great spot to have a beer and all who were working Saturday could not have been any nicer! 5 stars all around thanks Amendment 21.“

“I came on a Thursday afternoon after a long Wednesday night and let me tell you for those of you that don’t know these can be some of your toughest ratings based off physical and mental prowess. The food was stellar and the service second to none. I was just speaking with my party about what kind of burger we wanted and it came out split on the plate for us. Watching the bartender behind the bar absolutely command the grill was an experience in itself. I would suggest stopping in for 4 hours and leaving fulfilled.“

“Went with my husband today, he had the crab cake sandwich with house cut fries, both were delicious. I had the blackened shrimp poke bowl. First time I had a poke bowl and it will definitely will not be my last. I only gave the atmosphere a 4 star because it was super loud inside and I basically yelled the entire time to talk. We had Victoria as our server and she was an excellent one at that. Prompt and extremely pleasant. We will go back again to try something else and hopefully have her again as our server.“

“My wife and I recently moved into the Brick area, and I pass the restaurant weekly. In doing some research<, I saw that they have a very interesting menu and several specials on Monday nights. “This restaurant has an old fashioned pub atmosphere. I got seared scallops special on their specials menu. Scallops cooked perfectly served with light avocado grapefruit and pickled onions. Their burgers are supposedly really good as well. Their butter was infused with something sweet, so of course, was delicious. And their wedge salad was one of the best I've ever had. It had a light blue cheese dressing with tons of extra blue cheese and a lot of bacon and tomatoes. Absolutely delicious.“

“The wait is about half an hour when we went last weekend. Customer service is excellent! I’ve never seen a humongous pizza before and I was in awe when our order of half buffalo and half veggie was served. One slice is too big but the crust is thin, so it evens out. It was delicious! “Delicious food at a prime location near the beach - would highly recommend. I visited in the off season and their outdoor patio was closed but it looked like a beautiful place to hang out outdoors. The service was good but the food was even better. Their french onion soup is fantastic. We also had the chicken nachos, wings and pizza and all were delicious.Parking: It can be difficult to find parking in the summer, there is no dedicated parking for the restaurant but I imagine a lot of people just walk or bike to the location.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly place, they bring out activity sheets and crayons for kids. It’s a casual setting.“

“We stopped here by chance, best place by far we stopped in at! Food was amazing, service was outstanding! The dark hair girl that started us off when we got there was on top of things, when she had to close out the guy with tattooed arms covered us just as well. They were on top of the orders and quick to make sure drinks weren’t empty and smiling and extremely pleasant the whole time. We were on the balcony and had a fantastic time and even saw the fireworks there. Spent many more hours than expected, and would definitely do it again! Can’t recommend this place enough!“

During the summer it is outrageous to pay to park in the parking lots.Kid-friendliness: It's a fabulous place for children. Lots of rides for children and adults of all ages. Lots of live entertainment during the summer, they have stage performances for children and adults of all ages.Wheelchair accessibility: Very friendly wheelchair accessibility.“

“We were at Seaside Friday night and took time to walk the boardwalk to see which spot had the best vibes for the night. I was thrilled to hear some 00s R&B blasting out of Spicy’s and knew this was where we had to eat. This is my favorite spot during the summer and it’s refreshing to know they try to keep the party going during the off season. Mary is the sweetest and made us feel welcome. Our food was served at the bar hot, fresh, and really quickly. I was happy with the drink selection. And of course, the DJ really made the vibes. I look forward to visiting Spicy’s again - hopefully before Summer starts!“

“Ate an early lunch here on a Friday, place was not busy at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the ambiance and the food. My daughter had cheeseburger sliders, my husband had shrimp tacos and I had the fish tacos with some sort of spicy sauce. They were delicious. Minus one star because our very small unsweetened iced teas were $3 each and refills were charged. $15 on unsweetened iced tea was a tough pill to swallow when the plastic cup was overflowing with ice.“

“Our party had a wonderful meal last night in an almost-empty restaurant DESPITE a waitress who clearly had no basic skillset & no common sense about what her job involved - she had no idea what balsamic dressing was, we had to ask for bread & were told with a laugh that she 'forgot'; we had to ask for the cole slaw even though the menu included it with the entrees'. To our pretending-to-be-busy server: You know who you are, & you are "clueless on Channel Drive" for sure. This is definitely not the job for you, especially when the hungry summer crowds show up.“
