“This was my first time eating at this Route 22 West restaurant that was formally Kirsten’s. The interior looked very similar with the traditional and Neapolitan pizza oven from the former proprietor. The interior was well lit upon our arrival at 5:45pm and then the lights dimmed around 7:15pm. There is amble seating and the place filled up by 6:30pm. Their menu is rather large which may be why the call themselves Galasso (translates in English to galaxy). Note, it is a BYOB restaurant. Our order included Calamari Alla Arrabbiata - fresh calamari prepared in a Fra Diavolo sauce served over linguine ($23.95), two salmon specials ($28.95 each), and Linguine Alla Pescatora - middle neck clams, P.E.I. mussels, sea scallops & jumbo shrimp sautéed w/garlic in a pomodoro sauce or choice of arrabbiata sauce served over linguini ($30.95). What I Liked: - Our waitress was relatively new and made up for her learning curve with a great personality - The homemade, small bread loaves were very good. - All meals come with a complimentary house salad which was basic but sufficient - The salmon was considered excellent. It was made with artichoke hearts, capers, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. The piece was larger than you usually get when dining out. - The calamari in the Calamari Alla Arrabbiata were in their natural state and not breaded which makes their texture stand on its own. They passed the test and worked well with the Fra Diavolo sauce. - The Linguine Alla Pescatora was a hearty dish. There were four clams, four mussels, four shrimp and four sea scallops. The linguine was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were firm but tender and the scallops were a respectable size. - Although full, the restaurant was not noisy What I Did Not Like: - For the Linguine Alla Pescatora, I asked for the arrabbiata sauce and was served the garlic in a pomodoro sauce instead - The shells of the mussels in the Linguine Alla Pescatora were very large but the actual mussels were very small. Basically, all show and no substance. The clams themselves were also smaller than what I would have expected for a middle neck clam. Again, the shells were large. The sea scallops had an ammonia after taste which means they were old. - The tables have a limited surface area so it is very tight when the food arrives After the meal, I let our server know about the scallops. She did speak with the kitchen and said they apologized and threw out their scallops as a precaution. They also took the full price of the meal off the bill which was not expected and an over-the-top gesture of how they do business. This speaks in volumes about why you should support their restaurant. Not many places would do what they did. You usually get “a sorry” or a free piece of stale cake. My Italian Scallion culinary rating is 7.3/10 cloves of garlic. My overall restaurant rating is 8.2/10. Upon leaving, I spoke with the Pizza Boss about his pizza and will definitely be back for it in the near future. Anyone who puts their pizza in a 550-degree gas oven gets my attention.“
“Ordered six slices and a soda for $17. Not too bad. The have tables inside and outside, there’s more than pizza to order but it’s super clean. The BBQ chicken slice was good and the cheese slice was excellent. It was a perfect Jersey slice. The pepper and onion slice was just okay, the onion were really raw… which took away from their sweetness. All and all, it was worth it!“
“3/18/24 - My wife and I had lunch at Agave today. We've driven by often but this was our first visit. We parked out front but there appears to be parking around back too. My wife ordered the chicken tostada and I ordered the Impossible Burger. Both were fantastic. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be back.“

“I went to a dinner one night. I went to Rosemarie’s Cucina in Clinton NJ. The food was delicious and they buy the food every morning. It opens at 5:00 but you can go earlier if you want coffee and bake goods. You can still get baked goods if you go later. That’s why you should go to Rosemarie’s Cucina.“
“I visited Marinelli's for dinner with a friend this weekend and it was OH-SO-GOOD! I had the delectable Chicken Kristine and my friend ordered the Eggplant Tower and we shared. What an absolutely delicious dinner! The lemon blueberry cake we shared for dessert also did not disappoint. The next time I'm in the Flemington area I will definitely make a stop at Marinelli's. : )“
“Well, now we can no longer get "pizza to go" near us. Instead, if we want pizza, we drive 20 minutes (passing numerous other pizzarias) to get pizza here. Luckily, they have a few tables for those of us that live too far to take it to go. It is definitely the best pizza ever!!!“

“My kids have grown up on Virami’s. When they were little, Virami’s was the friendliest place to take them and the food was always amazing. Jersey pizza ? done right! And as they got older they still went to Virami’s on their own because it’s a community staple AND it’s that good. They will talk with you like a real person and will happily make your order the way you ask.Sandwiches and slices of pizza are always on point. You know how every place has their own style? Well, I like theirs. Admittedly, Flemington isn’t really a destination for foodie’s, but there some real gems in this town, and Dolce def holds its own.The food is very good and I LOVE that it’s BYOB. The menu might seem a bit limited (for instance, they use the same ingredients - like veal cutlets - in a number of dishes, but prepare them in different presentations). I can understand that given rising food costs, thankfully the specials add diversity. Each time, the food was far above my expectations regarding restaurants in Hunterdon County. You would think from the name of the place that it was simply the standard Italian fare, and you would be mistaken. There are Asian, Mediterranean, and American influences as well, making the selection very well rounded, and everything is prepared and presented with obvious care and attention to detail. “Good Italian classics in a nice, new premise. Some things can use improvement: Volcano shrimp was tasty although the ratio of 7 shrimp to an extremely large bed of mashed potatoes was disappointing. The chicken parm dish comes with a side of penne vodka which I thought was nice although it was very light in color and tasted different than penne vodka dish also ordered. Finally there was a ring around the toilet bowl in the ladies room, making me ponder the cleanliness of the establishment as a whole? Also this is a BYOB!“

“Not a bad pizza but nothing to write home about. 10 times better than Chimney Rock across the street. I moved to Flemington in 1984 and there was only one place to get a good pizza pie and now there's at least a half dozen places for great pies (though there are more than that in number of pizzerias). Sinatra ranks up there with one of my favorites. The cheese on our pie was a little off in colors which made it obvious that it was from two different lots, perhaps different manufacturers. Part of it was super yellow and the other was super white. Odd. I will continue to eat here but my all time favorite is still Taste of Naples mainly for their quality of cheese.“

We had a house salad to start and when it was delivered to our table you could see the quality and freshness of the ingredients. And after having a few bites it was just delicious. We also ordered 3 different slices of pizza. One buffalo. One cheese tortellini and one pepperoni. I have to say the food was some of the best we had. Waitress was right on top of her service. If you have not been here it's a must go to place.we asked for the owner come to our table . When she came to us we told her our experience was so so good. “Solid elevated Italian, in a charming house in historic Chester. We met friends who frequent Benito's and really enjoyed it. Despite the cold winter weather outside, it was warm and cozy, and festive for the holidays inside. Starter Asparagus Parmigiano - coming from California, we don't typically see asparagus in the winter, but it was delish. Main Course Cavatelli Calabrese for me! Ricotta pasta with sausage, broccoli rabe, cherry peppers in garlic and oil - hold the peppers Cavatelli with broccoli is my go-to pasta and reminds me of my Grandma. I must order it whenever it's on a menu. It sparks joy and floods me with happy memories. I asked for no peppers but my friend got it with peppers and loved it too. The guys tried a few of the veal dishes and licked their plates clean. Dessert We ended the night with classic, delicious cannoli, lemon cake, and espressos. This is a BYO restaurant so be sure to bring wine if you want any. The friendly staff will open and pour for you.“
“Stopped here on our way home from visiting NJ for a wedding. Left the hotel and drove down the street looking for a "mom and pop" looking pizza place when we spotted it. I must say I am super impressed! From the second we stepped foot inside, I knew it was going to be good. The food smelled and looked amazing! We decided to get a whole pizza, so we didn't order anything from the counter, but a ton of other customers did, and everything looked and smelled so good! The pizza was ready in what felt like 5 minutes. We initially were going to take it to go but decided to eat in and I'm glad we did. Got to talking with a couple of people there, it was nice. The environment is very chill. And the food was delicious! If we make another trip to NJ, we will 100% stop again!The entire shop was tidy and clean, especially the restrooms (and that's a major win, in my opinion). I give this place a 10/10!!!“
“Stopped for an early dinner after a nearby theater performance, and our daughter, who lives in the area, suggested we try something different. She had some recommendations for this establishment. It was early and plenty of seating was available. We were led through the inside to a back mostly inside area (the doors were open and the ceiling fans provided a comfortable setting). There is also a beautiful outdoor seating area which was an option. The menu is pretty extensive from pizza to sandwiches to salads and entrees. The four of us shared 2 large Caesar salads, two of us opted for special personal size pizzas (of which we both had plenty leftover to take home), one had shrimp scampi (she also had leftovers), and the other entree was a pasta dish. We all completed our meal with various flavors of gelato. The service was great (and the busboy continually filled our water glasses), prices were reasonable, and it was a lovely setting. We all enjoyed our meal and we would definitely make a return trip! Parking is on the street, and it's also a BYOB. Dress is casual.“

Bella's sign caught my attention and there was a parking spot right out front, it was meant to be. We ordered a couple of slices and enjoyed them by the window with a soccer game on TV. “I had the opportunity to visit Al Fresco's on a couple of occasions and found the food delicious. The Chicken Franchise was tender, flavorful, with the perfect amount of lemon. Cavatelli and Broccoli was amazing and could tell the cavatelli had the chance to finish cooking in the sauce. I'll be back and would recommend Al Fresco's to family and friends. BTW They have space for events.“

The continuity isn't always there, the orders are often different depending on the day so I always make sure to check the bag, but the atmosphere is fantastic and the service as well. one of the best places in the area.“
